Literally have been waiting for a location this close forever! I no longer have to drive to San Marcos or Encinitas every time (Carlsbad is still new tbh compared to those two staples). I was so sad to be out of town opening weekend but happy I was able to stop by the next weekend. Honestly, they were so fast! I even went in to mobile order and my order was ready right away. The drive-thru line would get long at some points but the staff really seemed to work at it quickly to keep the flow of customers going through. The inside of the cafe was clean and they even had a decent amount of tables, inside and outside too! This location is also so easy to get to as it's right of PCH as are most others. They have a pretty decent parking lot which is hard to find at like every location. I split the best drink ever and a caramel buzz with a friend and their drink quality was just as good as every other location. We enjoyed the pistachio croissant but it was a bit dry at some points. Couldn't be happier overall! It's dangerous having it so close. read more

What's not to love about Better Buzz opening in Oceanside just in time for the summer?! I'm saddened to see such negative reviews already and I really hope people will still be encouraged to come in. This was a staple of my college years down in San Diego and I always enjoyed visiting them in Encinitas, although it was very far. To have one here, in Oside, is such a treat!! My go-to is the iced best drink, sub coconut powder (instead of the vanilla). You can thank me later. My advice is to always go 1/3 or 1/2 sweet as the drinks are geared for those with a sweet tooth. Think Dutch bros v Starbucks. Lovely interior, thoughtful details, clean bathrooms and a drive-thru! Come by and visit. You won't be disappointed! read more

11/20/2024 - Drive-Thru: They asked 4 vehicles to pull to the side to avoid "messing up their time". 12/26/2024 - I arrived at 0600 and ordered 2 drinks and a sandwich. When I got to the window, I paid for the order and before getting any of my items, the cashier asked me to pull over to the side. I asked why I needed to pull over since nobody was behind me and she said "it messes up our time". On top of that, I wasn't given any napkins or straws. This seems like corporate would get a false sense of how individual stores are performing. read more

I love better buzz and I've loved it for years. I love getting their iced coffees with almond milk and I think whatever they use is the best almond milk I've ever had. It's just so creamy and good. They always have fun and interesting drinks on the menu that aren't found in typical coffee shops. I like the app and the order ahead/points aspect. The drive thru is convenient and the staff are cheery and excited to be there. The seating area is clean and has a cool vibe to it and it would be a great place to study. read more

The coffee is mid which I can live with. The place is on my way to work so I've stopped by approximately 12 times now and have left the driveway 6x now because they are incompetently slow. This is the primary cause for the review. It is really really bad. Like, mini dmv slow. As an aside, they are invasively inquisitive in the drive thru. You don't need my name to make my coffee in the driveway. Ok. Review over. After 12 minutes only two cars getting though I'm leaving the drive thru for the 7th time. read more

It's my first visit to Better Buzz! Ok coffee is good! Service is very good and ambiance is good ! But prices are very high in my opinion. I was excited to check this place out when I heard they opened up one near me. Sadly I went on a gloomy raining day and although it seems like a decent sized building.... they only offer 6 seating spots inside, which was a bummer since once I got there they were all taken up. They offer outside seating as well, but when it's cold and rainy no one wants to sit outside. Overall the staff was nice, just wish they had designed it to offer more indoor seating. read more

I'm from out of town and needed an afternoon pick me up. Every time I try a coffee shop I'm not familiar with, either the coffee is too weak or too bitter. I decided to order a large cold brew, black. The coffee is strong and smooth! I live in La Mirada and they have a location in Fullerton, which is next door. Always love better buzz, but today the combination hit different! The OG açai bowl is always so good, blended to perfection with perfect ratios of granola and fruit. And today we tried one of their breakfast pockets. Inside was sweet potatoes, chorizo, bacon, and cheese, with a croissant like crust topped with Parmesan cheese. It was absolutely amazing. Great flavor with flavorful spice. I also chose to try their signature, seasonal miso caramel coffee. Simply because they use real miso pay, which is so unique. I was really surprised that you could definitely taste the difference between a typical salted caramel latte and this miso latte. It was really good, however, the best latte ever is truly the best latte ever. The aesthetic is always very cute, including in the bathroom, however, it was very dirty. Ella was very helpful and nice while taking our order and we got all of our items in less than three minutes. Love that for us! read more

Usual spot for my go to coffee. But decided it's not worth the time or dime as I was the only customer in the drive thru with one coffee order. Yet was told to wait in their pick up spot for God knows what reason so I did. 20 mins in, sitting there with my one year old in the back seat sleeping, car running so I couldn't go inside. Another car pulls up next to me awaiting their order, then promptly is brought out their FOOD by the same employee who told me to park and wait for my ONE iced drink. The car next to me is now on their way as I decide to call the store, 3x before they answer, to inform them how I've now been waiting HALF AN HOUR for my coffee! My one year old now awake and fussy, another 4 mins goes by then my drink is brought to me without a receipt. With no accommodation of my time as a Better Buzz customer, in a refund or next drink on them; I will not be wasting my time for a damn coffee from this location. Time is money and this was quite the display of lack of accountability, fairness, and integrity that this store carelessly robbed me of both my time and money. Oh but they did give me a free stale croissant. I guess to them that's worth half an hour wait. read more

It truly was the best drink ever because cynthia was the one who made it. I've come in with my grandma before, and once she almost slipped but to my surprise cynthia caught her before she could fall. I also want to add that the new GM, Shane, was the reason this was finally resolved. I really appreciate her following up to ensure it was addressed. This is such a pleasant spot to grab a bite for breakfast! The location is convenient with a big parking lot and a handy drive-thru window. I had a delicious oat milk cappuccino that was by far the best around. My husband loved the Better Breakfast egg and bacon sandwich, and I really enjoyed the avocado toast. Bonus points for having a gluten free bread choice that was actually really tasty. As we were seated outside, the district manager stopped and chatted a moment with us.
