Boggles my mind why this place is so highly rated. Yelp fooled me here. Anyways, place looked super fancy, so I stood in the long line and waited for my latte for about 15-20 mins. Results ? One of the worst lattes of my life. Worse than Starbucks. No taste, no foam, no coffee, just hot milk with some remote tinge of coffee. Huge disappointment. The walnut bread was good, but I wasn't there for that. Guys, come on. Learn to make a decent cup of coffee. That latte was just bad. read more

Took a while but better breakfast rocked it! I'll be back for some of their fantastic founding beverages soon!

I love the vanilla bean latte! They have organic almond, coconut & soy milk options too. I love the decor and layout. Lots of tables to work at, and the open air front is nice. Central Encinitas location. I don't love the parking, single bathroom (which some guy forgot to lock the handle last time I was there), line to order and how long it takes to get a drink or food. Fun true story: I met my friend there, we waited at least 10 mins in line and she ordered the avocado toast. We sat down and realized we didn't get a number for the table. My friend went up to the cashier and said - I didn't get a number. The cashier says, oh I forgot to add it to your order, you'll have to get back in line to order it. LOL! And yes, my friend got back in that long line and got it to-go. Apparently customer service is not intuitive (at least not here) and the manager needs to take some time with their staff to educate and train. It's so busy here, it wouldn't be a good place for me to get work done or have a meeting, it's borderline chaotic. Tables are rarely available, at least whenever I've been there. Their space is too small and inconvenient. Great products, but they definitely need to work the kinks out in their business. Three stars only because of their coffee. read more

Had their cold brew iced coffee the atmosphere was cool and the coffee was even better! So excited to have this gem in Encinitas, I encourage anyone who hasn't gone to try it there are so many drinks to choose from so don't worry about limited selection read more

Located on the main street in Encinitas, right next to Detour Salon. There is street parking on the main street or in the neighborhood around, but there is also a parking lot right behind the shop with a convenient entry from there. This location does not have a drive-thru. It is pretty nice. Almost huge. Looks very clean and modern. Lots of places to sit. Some near the street window. The place was packed around 2pm on a weekday. There were many customers there using laptops and others were having coffee with friends. There were two cashiers and several baristas, so the ordering and pick-up was quick. This location has a cold brew on nitro drink which my cold brew loving husband just had to try. It was really good. One note: they have a drink (I think Iced Gibraltar) that is definitely not a to-go drink, served with cream and a spoon on a small wooden tray (maybe they could put that on the menu sign.) If you are looking for great coffee, baked goods and lots of people to watch, this is a good place. It's a few blocks from the beach, the Coaster station and there are plenty of other shops and restaurants in this area. read more

This place has such an amazing atmosphere! If you want to study, or chat with a friend, or just a great place to hang out, this is the place! Also if you have celiac like me, there's a lot of great gluten free options. Seriously come on down here and try this place! read more

Better Buzz Coffee - Vanilla Buzz with Almond Milk - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

I came in here with my boyfriend yesterday and the ambiance of this place is so cool! I think we were mesmerized by the interesting designs before we were even ready to order the coffee! They have a lot of better buzz coffee merchandise as well as interesting coffee grinders, beans, etc... (Perfect for the holiday gifts ). When we got to the counter the barista was really helpful, I was debating between two totally opposite drinks and she was patient to explain them both and help me decide which one to order. I got the roasted marshmallow hot chocolate and it was amazing! Tasted like a chocolate smore! Will def be going back again!!!!! read more

This location beats every coffee place in San Diego. The Best Drink Ever with 1/2 vanilla lives up to its name. On top of that, the place is super cute! Every corner of this place is Instagram worthy. Also, the staff is very friendly and attentive. If you live in Encinitas or anywhere near by, you have to get your coffee here! read more

So I was blow away before I even entered this Better Buzz. 5 stars for decor and environment alone. I'm a big fan of this chain and have been to all the ones in San Diego. This one is North County tops them all appearance wise. It has an open floor plan, cozy, and very inviting. Got my favorite drink, the Mint Mojito iced coffee, with my little spin of a few shots of raspberry syrup. The bomb.com! The staff was super friendly and fun. I might be mistaken but it seemed like they had a wider variety of food too. Plus they had a couple of kabocha drinks on tap. Wish the ones closer to me looked this cool. read more

Drove down from LA to drink coffee from here. The barista purposefully dismissed us while waiting in line and took another's order so didn't bother to order at a place like this , will not return. read more

Service here was amazing! Dan, the cashier, was very helpful and friendly in today's stressful world of masks and social distancing. And the Vanilla Bean Latte was delicious! My friend and I recently dropped by here after brunch since we were nearby. I had seen and heard a good amount of hype surrounding Better Buzz so I've always been curious to try their coffee. The menu isn't too extensive, but I didn't mind that much. I decided to order the Mexican mocha (which you aren't able to order iced by the way) while my friend ordered their vanilla ice blended drink. If you decide to come here, then expect to pay Starbucks-type prices because our drinks came out to be almost $5 each. Although I enjoyed mine, I also didn't think it was anything special or spectacular. Perhaps I need to be more of a coffee aficionado to appreciate the quality? As for my friend's drink, she found it to be too sweet and ended up throwing away half of her beverage since the excessive sweetness made it difficult to finish. Despite the slightly lackluster beverages we received, we did enjoy the environment with its polished interior and modern decor. Even though my experience was simply decent, I think it's still a nice place to drop by for coffee because of the overall atmosphere. read more

Great coffee. Excellent sandwiches. Excellent customer service. That mocha Mexico is amazing - espresso, Mexican chocolate and latte.

This coffee shop is so good. The atmosphere is nice. Iced Vanilla Latte is the best I've ever had. Come here every time I'm in Cali! Also this location is super close to moonlight beach so grab your coffee and go relax read more

Better Buzz Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

I love the La Jolla location, but the Encinitas location has some major service and efficiency issues. They cannot figure out the online system. I have ordered several times from this location only to find my order never ready on time. Most recently I even gave them a 20 minute cushion and my order still wasn't complete. Additionally the staff is less than friendly. I love their drinks and food. The La Jolla location is awesome but there are major staffing and management issues at the Encinitas location. read more

Always love coming here for a great cup of coffee , staff is always so warm and helpful even when they are swamped , today I got the avocado toast , one of my favs! But when I got it it was on a very thin slice of bread and not the usual fluffy big toast , i don't know if they've ran out of things since they've been busy or they just changed it up but can't justify paying 8 dollars for a tiny thin bread . But I always come back for the coffee :) read more

The food is good but staff is varied. Some great, some asleep at the steamer. They give me a letter to locate my table so they can bring me my food but then call my name so I can walk back to the counter to get my coffee. If I had understood that I would have tipped differently. read more

Better Buzz Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

This place is trendy and busy but their coffee and avocado toast were worth the wait in line. Will definitely go back when in the area.

This has become my new favorite coffee place. I've tried multiple drinks and they never disappoint. My favorite drink so far is this one I ordered that had matcha. The decor is very cute and has a hipster vibe which reminds of LA (I love LA). The service is always good, I've never had a problem with anyone I've encountered here. Prices aren't too bad, they are mainly just the standard drink price you would expect at an establishment as this. This is the place to come to with me and my gals when we are in need of some catch up time, or the hubby when we are just strolling down the 101. Everyone I've been to this place with adore it as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. read more

I remember when Better Buzz was a fun and chill place to hangout and grab some coffee. I remember the very first Better Buzz. I remember when their staff cared. Now it's been reduced to getting eye rolls from staff when you're just asking about an online order cause they have no clear signage. But they're busy so you're met with an angry frustrated "go over there" of a grunt from under a mask. Now you walk in and it sounds like a circus cause the staff are stuffed into a box passive-aggressively arguing and clamoring over each other like toddlers. Not to mention the single obnoxious aggressively loud megaphone of a staffer yelling out order names like her sole purpose is to blow a hole in a few eardrums. And the angry tone in her voice you here when, OMG, she has to say it twice The vibe of entitlement you get from interacting with 90% of their staff is unreal! Like where are you finding these people?! Who is training them? Better yet, fire whoever is training them. I get it, they're busy. Crazy busy. But that doesn't give them the right to be a**holes. Sadly, this is probably a moot point cause I'll never stop going. It's the best coffee in San Diego. The experiences will just be tainted by the horrendous staff on the other side of the glass. Bring back OG Better Buzz where it wasn't just the coffee that was great, but the folks making it too. read more

Cute, but busy location. The açaí bowls are spot on and generally, the drinks are good but HIGHLY variable in quality. For that reason, giving this location 2 stars. On my latest visit, I ordered a tea latte, and my bad but I assumed they made it right and left without tasting it (baby was fussing and needed to get home). Got to my car and drove away, to realize they gave me a half filled cup of hot tea, no milk to be found. To make matters worse, I reached out to them afterwards, asking if they'd be able to do something to make things right, since I paid for a drink I didn't get. No response. If management doesn't respond to and address problems, this likely speaks to the variability problems, and hence, my 2 star review. The drinks and food are good, but only if they actually get it right. read more
