This place is so cute!! I'm in love with their decor! This place has a lot of seating and is great to get some work done or catch up with friends. I went on a Wednesday afternoon, and it wasn't too busy. I didn't have to wait in line to order and didn't have to wait long for my drink either. I ordered the best drink ever and the name pretty much speaks for itself haha. read more

Better Buzz Coffee - Such cute decor! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

Average coffee, not my type of place. If you like sweeter, less "traditional" coffee drinks, they have a lot of options. The shop itself was a bit messy to me. There were those black hovering flies everywhere and dirty/wet tables. Also, they had signs on many of the tables saying "no laptops" and to use the "community tables" for such activity. I respected the directions on those signs, but do not see a point to them. The community tables are large and great for big groups (many big groups did go for the community tables for this reason). People who were on laptops were typically alone or with one other person, therefore, not requiring a large table. Why not let people sit wherever they want and wherever is open? read more

Better Buzz Coffee - Double Espresso - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

I wish we had this coffee shop on the East Coast!!!! I love açaí bowls coffee smoothies sandwiches and more. All my favorite things Sc

The coffee is weak and taste like watered down hotel coffee :( I drink coffee because I LOVE the taste of coffee. If I wanted more energy (which is what they claim their coffee has because it's all lightly roasted beans), I would get a damn red bull. Customer service is sh*t. Little prissy rich white girls that have never had a real job before (and definitely not a barista job because they can't make a flat white worth a crap) that think they're saving the world or curing cancer with their beans. Coffee isn't that big of a deal, and neither are you. Not only that, but the whole place wasn't well thought out. It's beautiful inside, like a graphic designer did it, but not an interior designer. If the line gets longer than a few people, it runs into the tall tables in the front. So if I was sitting there, I would either have an ass in my face or against my back. That's exactly what I look for when trying to enjoy a coffee! And trust me, somehow this place is ALWAYS busy, so expect butts in your face. No thanks, the beautiful interior isn't enough to keep me here. I seriously don't understand who is going back here more than once. Ironsmith is right down the street and about 100x better in attitude and quality coffee. read more

Great Spot in downtown Encinitas. Not sure if you can mess up a Chai Latte, but theirs taste delicious! It's definitely what a modern coffee shop looks like, trendy, spacious, loving & happy environment. From the baristas to the customers. Your definitely carving out a great place to be and great place to go Better Buzz Coffee, Keep it going. Peace ~ Frankie G. read more

This is my new favorite coffee place! First off the atmosphere is incredible! I love the decor, mint green accents, terrariums and plants coming out of the wall, as well as the street facing open air seating! Second and probably most importantly- the coffee is AMAZING. I got the honey lavender latte with almond milk and it was DELICIOUS and served in a cute mason jar. I will definitely be coming here as often as I can to do work and whatnot because, free wifi, open later than most coffee shops, and delicious coffee. Only downside, like most fancy drinks, they get expensive ($6 for my drink), especially if you can't have dairy. read more

This place is adorbs. It really is. If Brandy Melville was a coffee shop, this is what it would look like. And so, there is no doubt that my teenage girls always want to go here after stopping at Flashbacks. As a place to hang out & chill or work....meh. It's not comfortable, though it's a good vibe to have your cup of amazing coffee and hang out a little bit. And this, I think, is why I like it so much. My biggest problem -- probably my only problem -- were the flies. There were a ton of those really annoying little baby flies flitting around by the counter, which was kind of gross. The coffee, I think I said it was amazing...and it is, but I have not yet delved into the BDE territory or tried their vanilla powder that is supposed to be the living end. So, potentially, my experience could be better though I'm not a fancy coffee girl. The lattes are outstanding both the regular kind as well as the black tea ones. read more

I really enjoy the atmosphere, and overall the drinks are delicious! Although the quality of drinks and service can vary depending on who is working. Some days I'll receive excellent service and other days I'll receive service that makes me wish I went to a different coffee shop. read more

The service here is really nice and I've really liked everything I've tried. It's extremely busy (buzzing) all the time.

I love the set up and aesthetic of this place. However, every single time I have been there the crowds are too big to enjoy it. They do have bathrooms which is a plus. It's also unfortunate that the menu online differs from the menu in the store. I really wanted the oatmeal but they didn't have it in store. My friend got a latte and thought it was too sweet for her liking. read more

Better Buzz Coffee - Christmas sleeve in Encinitas - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

The place is very cute and on trend! The workers are very nice and sweet. They let us use the bathroom and the cafe was clean for the most part. The quality of the drinks however, was why I rated this a three. I ordered a coconut ice blended, and it was way too sweet and did not have enough ice, so it melted before I even left the store. I added chocolate covered espresso beans, and it just did not go well like the cashier said it would. My friend got the Lavender black tea latte, and the Lavender was very over powering of the coffee taste. My recommendation is to not branch out with the specialty drinks and stick to the caramel macchiatos, lattes, etc. read more

This literally was the best coffee place EVER!! We ordered the "Best Drink Ever". It definitely lived up to its name. It was perfectly balanced. If I lived here, I would stop by every chance I could. It's a fun and relaxing place to sit and chat over a cup of great coffee. read more

Long wait to order and another long wait to get your drink, but after my first sip of "the best drink ever" (americano with signature creamy vanilla...I got mine iced) I understood that their coffees are worth the wait!! Leaps and bounds above Starbucks. I only wish I had one closer to home. I will definitely return when I'm in the area. read more

My friend and I came here as she had introduced it to me for the first time. It was a cute aesthetic place and everything looked so good on the menu. I ended up getting the Chai Buzz ice blended drink and it was the best chai flavored drink I have ever encountered. I am definitely coming back and getting my dose of Chai Buzz! Great stuff! read more

Better Buzz is always the greatest. The Best Drink Ever is perfect for the sweet coffee drinker and the vibe of the place is amazing. Staff is so jolly so early in the morning as well. read more

Better Buzz Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

Wife went in to get a smoothie and was told they stop serving food at 6. Since when is a smoothie food? They also are apparently not accepting cash and staff was rude. Prior experiences were not this - very dissappointing. Will be rethinking future visits. read more

Ordered Horchata latte. Waited 10 mins to be told they ran out of Horchata. Pick something else.....

I love this coffee shop!! Amazingly friendly staff, great coffee drinks, great blended drinks, and a great environment to work or hang out. Open air to 101 and great energy in this place. Lately I have been getting the chamomile tea with a lavender sweetener. It is a calming oasis of spa life. The avocado toast is fantastic as well. read more

Trendy coffee shop frequented by mostly millenials. Açaí bowl, avocado toast type foods. Coffee is solid. Service I found to be slow (one barista working when the shop was very busy). There is a good energy to the place and the coffee and green juice is solid. read more

So yummy! I love the energy of this place. I definitely recommend coming here. The coffee is amazing and not to mention their yummy pastries and breakfast sandwiches. If you love a good frappe get the buzz! read more

Be prepared to wait for the mediocre. Coffee tasted watered down, had better coffee at Dunkin Donuts. Food was Fine but overpriced. Took 45 minutes for a breakfast sandwich and a coffee read more

Great place to meet up with a friend or do a bit of work. Coffee is top quality.

Coffee is good but the attitude man...I was looking at their merchandise, tumblers and cups as I was looking for a gift with their logo because I "used" to love coming here when all of a sudden this lady comes at me yelling from the counter saying I need to step away because she can't have me on the retail section and that I need to come here besides the cash register where a sticker is to wait for my order....I'm going to lofty coffee from now on where they don't start yelling at you in front of everyone for looking at their merchandise, would have been better if she had just asked me if I was looking for something to purchase before kicking me to the floor sticker...btw prices are outrageous so get in with the times read more

Delicioso! Great coffee! Great people! Great environment! Great place to come to always!! Come by and try it out! Yummy read more

Better Buzz Coffee - Double espresso :) - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

LOVE Better Buzz!!! This is such a cool environment. Great place to grab a tea/coffee with a date or just go hangout with friends. I love the rustic look of the space. For drinks, I recommend the Best Drink Ever (lives up to its name) for coffee, or Mint Tea for tea lovers. If you like tea, they can also bring it to you in a cool little pot and you can drink it there! Fun Encinitas spot, around a lot of other cool little shops read more

One of my favorite spot for avocado toast and a great coffee. It's not just the place that makes me want to go back to them often it's also the people who work their, staff is really friendly and genuine people. They greet you with a smile and they are warm. I didn't like the taste of my coffee and I was asking for suggestion and she suggested me a different coffee and replaced it for me , which was very sweet. I'm glad that places like this makes me realize how great of a service I receive at times read more

Coffee is ALWAYS amazing! Staff are extremely busy and continue to show patients and kindness. I love to come here and enjoy the avocado toast, but lately they have been serving very thinly sliced bread and I really can't justify paying 8 dollars for one slice of bread. Maybe I've just been coming at the wrong time of day or this is the new normal for their toast? Pretty disappointed but I'll still be coming back for the delicious coffee! read more

All I can say is thank goodness my boyfriend and I live SO close to this place. And why did it take us so long to actually step foot into this gem!? We'd walk or drive by here and see that there were people inside at all hours of the day, thinking "Hm, we need to check it out." Anyway, it has a wonderful ambiance (feels like a hip LA coffee shop but tucked in slow-paced Encinitas), amazing coffee selection, and scrumptious avocado toast. When I come here, I order the Best Drink Ever (it's what it's called) and the Avocado Toast. It never disappoints. Maybe next time I'll actually order something different...then again, probably not. read more

If you're looking to pop in and grab some coffee, this location is not for you. #1 Parking is a challenge. BB is at the heart of Encinitas where a cool diner and cute boutiques stand as neighbors. There is a two hour time limit on Coast Hwy and no time limit on nearby street parking, which btw, is scarce. #2 If you aren't already earning points with the BB Black Card, you need to take advantage of that. I reward myself with their awesome insulated metal cups. The best cup ever for hot or cold drinks! So good that I have, not one, but FOUR of them. Disregard the following as I started this portion of the review after opening week. I spent so much time detailing my visit then that I felt it be an awful waste to just delete it. However, do read on afterwards as I provide exquisite accolades to the baristas that currently treat me well. #2 Baristas seem to have some kind of issue. The two times that I have been have brought some sort of a delay. First, they were having issues with payment which held up the line. One barista was taking orders and they were behind by three customers on payment. Second, they were not aware of their own promos (free drink for black card members and the BOGO half off sleeve coupon). They didn't know how to input it on the system. Third, my ice blended hazelnut divinity and ice blended mint mocha buzz were unpleasantly sweet! And I love sweets! I frequent BB so I know how my drink should taste like. This female barista messed up. If I was not in a hurry, I would have had them remake the drinks. read more

Absolutely love this place! My dad brought me here since he said it was very good, I can't get enough now! Will definitely recommend Better Buzz to anyone even if they aren't super into coffee. read more

Bait and switch. Ordered avocado toast, and then got informed it would be avocado on sourdough sandwich bread, after I had paid and been waiting 10 minutes. Not what I expected, and too late to change it at that point. A second visit, I ordered what I requested as their "greenest" smoothie. It was quite sweet. Not the greatest, esp at $8 . I have yet to try their coffee, but with so many amazing options nearby, there's not much incentive to at this point. read more

Great place but it is super expensive for a cup of coffee/smoothie. I had a small pink dragon (I think that's what it is called). It had bee pollen on top. A nice touch. The location is very close to the beach and so we walked to the beach with our drinks. Nice place. read more

Good cup of coffee and if youre into it, the place has a bit of a hipster vibe. I go there when I'm downtown Encinitas because it's a much better option than Starbucks. However, they do employ a very young group and the service is less than quick. They always seem to be gossiping behind the counter read more

Better Buzz Coffee - Delis (and pretty) as usual - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

Great coffee, friendly staff and covid compliant. A bit of a wait but coffee was worth it. Will return again!

This location can get hectic but the staff is great and do their best. My fave coffee in all of SD :) I come here a few times a week and they are probably sick of me but I love it here anyways read more

I found this place randomly biking from Carlsbad into Encinitas and I initially stopped because I liked the open space seating and the natural light. There are a lot of folks here who are studying and working in the afternoon/early evening, just a heads up. They have a section where you can buy coffee paraphernalia as well Study/work space wise - there are lots of options of seating. per usual cafe's the periphery is where the electricity lives. There is a lot of stool seating so be warned if you're planning on sitting for a while. Coffee - I've tried only the latte - iced and hot and it was great both times. I wouldn't say it is the most unique coffee experience, but it is really good coffee. I haven't tried any of the foodstuffs but it looks delicious! read more

Lattes here pretty consistently have burnt milk and no foam, just 200 degree milk poured into a once great espresso.

I come here for the açaí bowls and they're great... it's just the workers are not very friendly. They're not welcoming, they give me dirty looks and it's uncomfortable. read more
