Great coffee! They tend to make lattes and other flavored drinks on the sweet side. Their muffins are really good and I do enjoy their avocado toast. Seating can be hard to find here but a stroll down the 101 in Encinitas is always a good idea! read more

How can you not write an incredibly review for Better Buzz? The coffee is delicious, the food is scrumptious, the people are kind, and the aesthetic is on point. When a company does "it" right, they deserve kudos. Thanks for being awesome Better Buzz! I will miss you greatly when I moved to Massachusetts next week. read more

Better Buzz Coffee - fav spot when i am in town, i dream of the Feta-Avocado Toast here and was so sad with how little avocado was on it:( - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Encinitas, California

"Best drink ever" was delicious. Flavorful smooth coffee. Wonderful iced on a hot day. Iced chai latte satisfied my daughter's picky palate. Creamy, perfectly sweetened and heavy on the cinnamon, it was a lovely afternoon treat. read more

Literally used to love this place but this is their worst location the management is so poor. I waited for 30 minutes for one drink and I wasn't the only one that waited that long and it wasn't even that crowded. So ridiculous don't go here. EVER read more

What a great find! Located on the Main Street of Encinitas and they open at 6 am! Decorated with white walls, it has a clean look to it. It has common high top tables as well as more private options. The coffee was surprisingly good. (I think I have become a coffee snob!). Bold but not bitter. I also had a ham & cheese breakfast sandwich. Good, but I would of like a more toasted muffin. All in all a good option for something different. read more

I have only been here twice and it might be bad luck, but they have either completely missed my order by not printing the ticket, or made me the incorrect drink. It's a shame because I've never had an issue at the other locations and won't be going here anymore because there is lots of other options for coffee in Encinitas . read more

The staff fills orders according to whom they feel like serving first. For example, on Vetrans Day I decided to pick up a latte. As I waited, I noticed customers that ordered after me, received their drinks. When I asked about my order, the barista snapped back "we are short staffed" okay, but that does not explain why customers are prioritized over my order. Rude! As retired marine, I had to laugh... Encinitas caters to selected few... I'm free while you have to take it up the... arse! read more

Better Buzzed has multiple locations throughout San Diego, and the location on the 101 is delightful. The large bar facing the sidewalk is usually packed with millennials staring at their laptops, coffee drink placed next to their smart phones. But on this early morning, they were still in bed. The decor is filled with Better Buzz paraphernalia. The space has a large open concept with communal seating, that makes for a very sociable and friendly environment, unless you are sitting at the bar facing out. The large open window at the bar gives the place an indoor-outdoor feel. It also means that a few pigeons like to hang out inside. And not just regular pigeons. These are very buzzed pigeons. Pigeons who walk around at a speed of mach 5. One second they are at one end of the place, and then wham, they have just River-danced their way to the other side, feet moving like crazy, upper body barely moving at all. It's freaky. But the manager is quick on her feet to escort them right back outside. This happens many times a day. She said she was the manager, but I think she meant she was the pigeon manager, it's a dedicated position that pays surprisingly well. Better Buzz Coffee Roasters is really great! We loved the food, the drinks, the staff, and the ambiance. Dogs and pigeons are comfortable here. And kids? Yah, they've got them covered too. I got the mint iced coffee. They went real heavy with the sugar and cream. Literally tasted like milk with sugar. It was so overwhelmingly sweet it made me sick. I drank maybe an eighth of my large and threw the rest away. If there was any mint flavor, it was covered by all the sugar. Fiancé got the horchata latte. This was better than my mint coffee but still pretty heavy on the sweetness level. Overall I was disappointed as I've heard great things about Better Buzz Coffee and expected better having spent $14 for 2 drinks. Next time Id probably avoid their hand crafted drinks and probably just go for the nitro cold brew on draft, pour over coffee or just an espresso. read more

Its all right. Not on par with the best but it will do in a pinch. The i had a breve cap. I do believe it was a "modern" version of a cap. not the traditional 5-6oz. This cap was served in a 12oz cup? Way too hot as well. The swarm of flies in the middle of the shop unfortunately turned me off. Im not the only one. Do a search here and you will find that many many have complained about the flies. On top of that they forgot my drink in an order of 3. I had to go up and ask for it again. The shot was already pulled and just sitting there for a while. read more

Amazing all around! Have visited better buzz a handful of times while vacationing. Couldn't ask for a better vibe to start off my beach day with a hot or cold latte including avocado toast. This place is adorable! The service is great and the coffee is delicious. I love that we have a new coffee shop on of Adams and Brookhurst.

This is seriously the cutest Better Buzz coffee shop I have ever been to! I'm a huge fan of Better Buzz, and am a firm believer that they are the best!!! It makes Starbucks taste like dirt. I always order the "Best Drink Ever" , iced or hot depending on my mood, and it is like heaven in your mouth! It's basically just espresso shots and hot water, but they add a special vanilla bean powder and that's what makes all the difference! It makes it super creamy, and has the perfect amount of vanilla flavor without being too powerful. Their food is also amazing! They have the best bread, and the best avocado toast I have ever had. The avocado toast is huge tho, so I recommend splitting it with a friend if you can. I decided to stop here on my way to OC since it was pretty close off the 5 free way. It was during the week around 7:30am and I thought it would be super busy, but it was actually pretty quiet here. I was able to get my order within 10 minutes, and it was very easy to find front row parking. This is going to be my routine if I ever have to commute to OC in the morning again. PS. they sell bags of their vanilla powder that you can take home ;) read more

This place is a little pocket of joy, the coffee is good, the pastries are delightful and the ambience is pretty damn serene. Over-rated spot with average food and coffee. Really don't understand what the hype is about. I recommend parking up the street directly above and walking over now that there's a dedicated crosswalk light. Avocado toast was just average, no ingredients were special and it lacked uniqueness. Avocado was a bit brown. Pick up process was chaotic and I watched my food sit there for a good 5 minutes when it could of been on the to-go shelf ready for me to grab. I finally was able to ask someone and they bagged it up for me. Lofty Coffee is a better option in the area for the same prices. read more

A hipster vibe with delicious coffee, treats, and lunch/brunch items. I love the horchata latte! It's a one of a kind and trust me, I've looked around. This place is right off the PCH which makes it convenient but also tricky to find parking near it if it's lunch or dinner time. I love the industrial, rustic, farmhouse feel to the place. Everyone seems very friendly and baristas are on top of it. read more

Loved the iced lavender black tea latte! Quick service and great variety on the menu!

This looked like the place to be due to its large crowd. The interior is beyond aesthetic for all those hipster feeling cafe/foodie bloggers. the staff is kind and willing to help find you the perfect drink or snack! They have plenty of options. I got the chai latte, and they nailed it!! This is a great place to meet up with an old friend, complete group projects, but might not be the best place to study since there is some background noise. Did i mention that the beach is literally right down the hill! so great! read more

Not that there's any such thing as a bad Better Buzz location, but this branch serves one of the most consistent Best Drink Ever's outside of the original drive-through one in PB! And this consistency may be why the line for this particular establishment is aggravatingly long. Or maybe it's because the beach is 3 blocks away. But either way, if you're patient enough to wade through the crowds, you'll be rewarded with a delicious and refreshing drink (and in my opinion, the best signature coffee drink in existence!). The dining area of this place is also pretty scarce. Maybe a dozen tables in all, but the traffic this place gets makes these dozen tables a rare commodity. Overall, I'm just glad that I have access to another Better Buzz! If it were up to me, there would be one in every corner, including the parking lot of my apartment complex! read more

I love this place! The coffee is delicious and the different flavors they have are so fun and unique! Better Buzz is a hip little local coffee chain, but they actually have great coffee and food!! The ambiance at the Encinitas location is very nice and open, but it can get crowded at peak hours. The service was great: friendly workers who were knowledgeable about the menu and trained well. I got the Matcha Latte and the OG Acai bowl which has Acai, Vanilla Granola, Fresh Berries, Bananas, & Honey. The Matcha Latte had a nice matcha flavor and was very creamy and smooth. The OG Acai bowl was very fresh, filling and a nice breakfast option paired with your favorite drink. Amazing collection of coffee beverages! I have tried their horchata latte, rose water latte and iced Moroccan spice. Holy crap! I'm a big fan of Better Buzz so trust me when I say this, the best drink ever was such a let down at this location. We're on our way back to the bay and we wanted to grab some coffee. We were contemplating to visit the location in Mira Mesa and regret that we didn't. The best drink ever was not the best drink ever for me. Sadly, most of the reviews for this location is true. It's not sweet and memorable like what I remember. Also, the line was out the door. Good thing I ordered on the app. It would have probably taken forever to get our drinks. That's it for this review. read more

Average coffee place on the 101. The chai tea is good, even if it seem to come from a package (there was still clumps of the unmixed tea in the cup). One word of warning, do not purchase the Acai bowls. They are not freshly made. They are prepared some where offsite and stored in the freezer until an unsuspecting person buys one. read more

Great coffee, good chai, avocado toast was delicious and the breakfast sandwich was very yummy. I missed that you could make it a large for $1 more or I would have gotten a bigger one! First of all, a shout out to my favorite employee JORDAN there at Better Buzz!! I love this place and have been going for years. It's a 20 - 30 minute drive and I still go to this one as the customer service is always amazing and always enhanced by Jordan and staff. Drinks are always consistently good and tasty. My go to is the Mocha Breve which is delightful, rich and fattening lol. Thanks guys for always putting a smile on my face and I'll keep coming till you don't. Cheers!!! read more

What a lovely cafe! It has semi outdoor setup with huge windows and door left open to the front. It also has a cute garden-ish set up along the sidewalk. I ordered iced green tea (they have herbal, green and black tea options). And Turkey pesto sandwich with avocado. The sandwich was DELISH!!! The bread was so fresh too. I would love to make this at home. The iced tea has good flavor - not only the color. Great service, food and venue! read more

I've only been to a Better Buzz once (on 7/28/17), as of posting this review, and it was this location. LOCATION: It's in Encinitas, off the main highway, and it's easy to see off the road. It's just annoying to have to try to find somewhere to park on the street. 3/5 ATMOSPHERE: It's pretty nice. The vibe is like that of a typical coffee shop, although a little louder, so if you're doing some intense work, you might want to go somewhere else. But it's pretty open -- they have bar stools at raised tables, as well as some regular tables. They also have added their own personal touches, with signs that say things like "Buzz" and "Coffee First." 3/5 SELECTION: They have lots of coffee drinks, as well as food items, like avocado toasts and acai bowls, which are served all day. 3/5 WHAT I GOT: I got OG (Acai) Bowl w/out honey (bc who wants to eat bee vomit?), and it was pretty good, and the bowl it came in was a pretty good size. The acai blend was okay -- it could've been slightly thicker, but the taste was fine. The bananas on top were riper than expected, the strawberries and blueberries were fine, and the vanilla granola was fine -- more airy than most granolas because of the puffed grains ... I wish I had also tried their chai latte with almond milk too though! 3/5 SERVICE: The girl who took are order was pretty nice, and we waited a fair amount of time. 4/5 read more

The chocolate shake is delicious! The perfect balance of banana almonds agave whey protein and cocoa nibs. I highly recommend it.

Decide to try out their storefront in Encinitas as an alternative to the long lines for brunch. I love the openness of the place, lots of seating (high to low) at communal tables or individual tables. However I thought the menu was in a weird place because I'm always used to a menu usually behind the cashier. Not a big deal though. We got their best drink EVER and the hazelnut divinity. Between the two, hands down best drink ever! It is an americano with vanilla. Not too sweet or bitter. Hazelnut divinity on the other hand.. wayyyy too sweet. I won't be getting that again. We also got the OG Bowl which is basically your average acai bowl. The portion is quite big so definitely enough to share. We also got the bacon egg sandwich which had a nice kick with the chipotle inside. The workers were good on coming around to clear things and were really friendly as well. Great place to meet up with friends for quick small breakfast and coffee. I would recommend this place for sure. read more
