Best customer service, always!! The drinks are always perfect, and the staff is so kind. I walked in right at 7:59 PM, and Kallie still greeted me with a smile and reassured me that it wasn't too late to place an order. She made me feel a little less guilty for being "that client"! Thanks again, Kallie, for being so welcoming!
Clean, Consistent, Affordable Coffee Shop! I tried Better Buzz in Vegas and really liked it so I came to the Costa Mesa location. I was not disappointed! Better Buzz's coffee is not anything too fancy, but if you're looking for a good, consistent iced coffee, this is the spot. You can get their Best Drink Ever for under $6, which is a steal in this economy. The Best Drink Ever I ordered was quite sweet, so if you prefer less sugar I would suggest adjusting the sweetness levels. The interior is clean and there's ample seating. On a Friday afternoon, I found this location to be a nice place to study at. Easy parking, yummy drinks, and quick service make this Better Buzz a place I will definitely be coming back to!
I stopped by Better Buzz Coffee in Costa Mesa and ordered a hot Matcha Latte with oat milk and real honey. Was it okay? Sure. Was it memorable? Not even close. The biggest issue was the texture. A great matcha latte should be rich, velvety, and full-bodied, with a smooth creaminess that complements the earthy matcha. This one felt thin and watery, lacking the depth and silky mouthfeel I've come to expect from a quality matcha drink. The honey added a touch of sweetness, but it wasn't enough to elevate the experience. The flavors felt diluted, and the drink never developed the comforting, luxurious character that makes a matcha latte worth savoring. For a coffee shop that generates so much buzz, I expected more. The presentation and reputation may draw people in, but based on this drink alone, the buzz wasn't matched by the cup.
Good coffee shop, nice and clean. Huge parking area. I got my coffee drink half sweet as the normal sweetness is too much for me. Baristas were friendly and it's a nice place to hang out. Open daily really early and stays open later than most coffee shops.
I've only had one drink here however if a place is going to claim an item as the best drink ever it should hold up to its description. The coffee I ordered was the "banana pudding best drink ever". Which is basically an americano with a touch of milk and vanilla for sweetness and a banana pudding cold foam. The coffee was strong so it hits the buzz part and the two Nilla wafers were good. The cold foam... I tasted zero banana, zilch, nada banana flavor at all. The inside is set up okay and it's cold in there so be prepared. They have a fair amount of offerings and some cool looking merch so I'd say they focus more on the aesthetics and branding than making good coffee. They do have good pastries though which is what kept them at a two star and not a one star. The person taking orders was rather rude and not very personable. She didn't seem to care to really be helpful in explaining some of the drink items. I'd say it's a place that tries to just play on hype and not substance.
Best drink ever is right and best service ever out of all the Better Buzz we've been to we like Costa Mesa and we've been to almost all of them. Heather stands out but they're all so nice and make the best coffee. I love the açaí bowl almost every time and wifey get the coconut macadamia nut cookie and egg bite tacos with carnitas. So fire. Also the best drink ever is good cold with flavors like cookies and creme. Best coffee spot ever
Such a cute place! Fast, friendly service. Many options on the menu. Also, drink of the month. My vanilla oat milk latte was delicious. The chili crunch breakfast wrap was so yummy. Fresh & prepared on the spot. The bathroom was cute & clean. You do need a code to get it. Customers only.
Stopped by to get me some iced coffee for the day. Busy place in the morning, but goes quickly. Easy and big parking lot w/ plenty parking spaces. The store is smaller comparing to others store but still spacious and got indoor seating against the glass window with view of the parking lot & streets. Great menu as like other stores with great pastries displace glass case. Great service and quick turn around (since my drink is east one). Overall nice and lovely store for sure.
Quick and easy spot to get coffee - the coffee is good but can be on the sweeter side. The "best drink ever" is a bit too sweet for me, and the vanilla bean latte is just under sweetness for my liking. The service was good - the worker/barista was friendly and helpful in providing suggestions and giving realistic feedback wait times. Ambiance is as you'd expect for many coffee shops - don't expect it to be quiet. It's also very cold in there, but maybe that was just the day I went. Overall, pretty good, not sure if I'd come back just for coffee, maybe would need to give it another chance but with adjustments.

It was just okay/meh to me. Was looking for a spot to do some work and get some coffee in the morning. Better Buzz according to my girlfriend is from San Diego and they opened up a shop in Costa Mesa, so we checked it out. Right when you walk in, you are welcomed with some up beat/slightly loud music and bright lights, which is not the most ideal for a workspace. We ordered the wrap and breakfast sandwich. To say the least, it was underwhelming. The wrap listed chili crisp aioli, but it was practically non-existent. Hash brown was warm but lacked crunch and texture. My girlfriend's better breakfast sandwich was decent and she enjoyed it. As for the coffee, Best Drink Ever, might be if you never had vanilla creamer. Large parking lot that is shared with other shops around, you won't have trouble finding a spot. read more

Just visited today! Not bad for a Sunday morning. The line was a bit long inside but it went quickly. The space is large and they have many employees working to keep service up to par. My daughter enjoyed the açaí smoothie and I really liked the vanilla latte with almond milk and sf vanilla. They played good music and had a lot of I door and outdoor seating! Plus a drive thru and food options. I really want to venture out and try one of their fun drinks next visit. Tip!! Download the app and you'll receive a free drink on your next visit. read more
We found Better Buzz Coffee in search for coffee while in Costa Mesa. The place is aesthetically appealing, love the bee and buzz reference. I had the mocha de Mexico which was delicious, creamy and perfect blend of cinnamon, chocolate (think Abuelita Chocolate) and coffee. The hubby had a drip which he described as a smooth medium roast coffee. We split the chocolate-walnut cookie and danish. Both were quite good. Nice to find out they have so many locations as I'd love to go back to sample more coffee. Also, the server was friendly. read more

We've loved Better Buzz ever since a friend introduced us to it in San Diego, and am so happy now that there's one in Costa Mesa! Finally got a chance to visit and we tried: Moroccan Spice Iced Coffee: The hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove were nice, but I found myself wishing for just a bit more! Still enjoyed this iced coffee though. Best Drink Ever (Hot): Happy to report I loved it just as much as I love the iced version - both so creamy and delicious. It lives up to its name! Better Breakfast (Sandwich): Egg, Bacon, Havarti Cheese, Arugula, and Garlic Aioli on a soft bun. This was super tasty and I'd recommend asking for extra garlic aioli because it was so delicious and goes great with the rest of the ingredients! 3 Seed Avocado Toast: Multigrain Bread Toasted with Butter, Avocado, Chili Onion Flake, 3 Seed Mix and Microgreens with Lemon. This was a good if somewhat mild avocado toast. I would also ask for extra chili onion flakes and salt to give it a bit more flavor. Service was prompt and friendly and ambiance is casual. A great spot for a coffee or breakfast date! read more
I'm so so happy that Better Buzz has been opening up more locations all around SoCal. This would be my spot every time I went to SD and now I can just get it locally 10 mins away? YES PLS! The hazelnut divinity is one of those lattes that I just crave, it's on the sweeter side but has a rich and indulgent espresso. The service here was great and our drinks came out in a swift manner. Def check this place out!! read more

Hi, Sara.…
Staff: They seemed nice and I like how they greet their customers upon entering with a "welcome". Wish they had name tags. Quality: Beautiful new store that was a BofA before. The store was very clean, well laid out, seating inside and outside. Got the Oag açai bowl and chocolate chip loaf. Both were so good. Value: Standard pricing you'd expect. Overall: I was happy with my visit and would definitely return again. read more

Better Buzz is a coffee chain that is delicious. Better Buzz was located in various locations in San Diego. Steven was a bigger fan than I was and loved to stop in one whenever we were in the San Diego area. I don't remember what I had the first time but I thought it was okay. Another time we tried to order white mochas in the app in advance but it errored out and when Steven went back, there may have been an oversight and we ended up with regular mochas. I thought it was okay that time also but I may have just been annoyed because we waited a good twenty five minutes to get mobile order drinks. Steven said they kept shifting our cups farther down as in person orders came. I don't know if that was a Better Buzz issue or the staff at that location. Other coffee shops place online orders at the current place in line and shift it down, or have people dedicated to those orders. Fast forward a few months and Steven saw that they opened a Costa Mesa location. We stopped by and both ordered iced white mochas. The cashier was very friendly and helpful and even informed us that they were expanding in Fullerton, Orange, and Santa Ana! Great news! It seems that Better Buzz is expanding in the OC with a vengeance. They do ask a lot of questions up front such as are you ordering food? Using the app? Etc. their pastries and food are enormous. I may have to get one someday if I'm very hungry. The iced white mocha was delicious! They have officially converted me into being a big fan, especially when we went back a week later and I tried the seasonal iced peppermint white mocha. Tasty! I'll have to try some other drinks but I know I'll always be happy with this one. They are often very busy, but the service has been great here and they have also been fast. Download their app for rewards. After your first purchase you get a free drink. I stopped by on Black Friday and got their vanilla buzz coffee at a discount and even snagged another discount for buying two. I can't wait for more locations to open. Now this is a coffee chain I can really enjoy. read more

Hi, Michael.…
Buzzing over Orange County's newest coffee obsession. I've experienced the high quality caffeine of Better Buzz while visiting San Diego, so I was beyond excited to see a location pop up in Costa Mesa. Better Buzz is famous for their immaculate vibes and creative drinks. During my most recent visit, I was also pleasantly surprised by their tasty bites! I recently saw that they had a grand opening deal on Postmates, so I decided to order delivery to make Monday more bearable. My drink of choice was the Hazelnut Divinity Latte topped with a chai cold cream. Absolute perfection. I also ordered the feta avocado toast, which was just the right size. I loved this snack so much that I got inspired to make a copycat version at home! This spot is more than worth the trip. Or just take the easy way out and have it delivered to your doorstep like me. read more

So stoked Better Buzz opened in Costa Mesa! I went during their grand opening and although they were busy (of course) the line went very fast and there were a few people to take orders to keep the line moving. Plenty of seating inside and outside and not too hard to find a parking spot. I usually order a chai but wanted to switch it up. I've came a handful of times now and have tried their snickerdoodle latte 9/10 just the right amount of sweetness and hazelnut divinity 10/10 so yummy!! Other must tries are the Nutella croissant 10/10 wow and the ham and cheese croissant sandwich but add an egg *trust me* Can't wait to visit again! read more
This location replaced a Starbucks and I'm glad it did. There's plenty of parking in the plaza and since this location is a cafe, there's plenty of seating indoors and a few tables outdoors. I ordered the Cinnamon Cream Cold Brew and it was the perfect amount of sweetness. I also ordered the Better Buzz breakfast sandwich which was decent. Service was friendly and the space was clean. read more

Hi Sandy,…
I got buzzed in Costa Mesa! Better Buzz Coffee is a San Diego coffee shop staple making its way to OC with a couple locations having opened up. This spot is located in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots. Inside, they have about 5-6 tables for seating with some seating outside in a patio area as well. As for their menu, they have a great selection of different lattes, espressos, teas, matchas, sandwiches, and more! I stopped by to grab some drinks for the homies and got an Orange Matcha Latte for myself. I really enjoyed the subtle citrusy flavor and how it paired so well with the matcha and coconut milk! Overall, I am glad that Better Buzz Coffee is continuing to expand outside of the SD area! All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. It can definitely get busy here but the lines move fast and the service is efficient. Come through and get buzzed!!! read more

Wow I haven't had Better Buzz since I was in San Diego last time, so it's cool to see that they are expanding! I went in and decided to get one of their seasonal drinks, which is the Peppermint Mocha. It was pretty good! I paid about $7 for a regular size cup, but it looks so huge? I wasn't sure how much it initially cost, but I enjoyed my drink haha. Service is quick and it already seems quite popular since they opened. The space isn't too big, so the seats can be filled up pretty quickly. Your type of coffee shop to sit and chat. read more
The vibes inside were cute, but it was absolutely freezing. Would not recommend getting an iced drink if you want to stay and work inside. The barista wasn't the nicest tbh and acted like I was bothering her when I asked for the restroom code. The espresso was just okay, nothing to write home about. Not super worth the price. read more

SO happy that Better Buzz finally made it to socal!! Usually coffee chains with multiple locations and sweeter drinks use mediocre coffee beans, but Better Buzz's espresso is delicious! I'm not a huge fan of their matcha, but every coffee drink I've had so far hits the mark. The employees here are super friendly and drinks were ready right at my online pick up time. We ordered a regular iced oat milk latte (extra shots) and the Candy Cane Best Drink Ever (1/2 sweet). Both were great! I love all of the customization options that allow you to make your drink your own. Better Buzz is a great coffee staple in the Costa Mesa area and I will absolutely be back! read more
