Employees were all super helpful. I got a cinnamon cream cold brew and honestly it tasted better than I expected. It reminded me of Horchata. I've visited this location a few times and usually order the cold brew with some variation of cold cream. Better Buzz Coffee is consistently good with their flavors. It can get pretty busy so depending on the time of day you might have to wait a bit for your drink. I'd recommend using their app to order ahead. Inside, there's a fair amount of seating, making it a decent spot to get some work done. But there aren't any outlets, and it can get noisy, so be sure to bring headphones! read more

If you like flavorful coffee concoctions, this is a great option. It's located in the Shops at Mesa Verde and parking is plentiful. I arrived early in the afternoon on a weekday. There was a 6 person line when I walked in but it moved very quickly; staff is on the ball here and are very friendly. I ordered a hot caramel vanilla latte and selected an almond croissant from their pastry case (all pastries are outsourced). I wanted to sit and enjoy my order there. They have half a dozen tables inside plus some counter space as well as some sidwalk tables. Although the place was packed, a couple of the four-tops had a single laptopper sitting there so I just sat down at one of those tables (after politely asking if the seat was free). The caramel and vanilla flavors in my latte were both distinct. The drink was on the sweeter side. While I enjoyed the latte a lot the coffee itself was not the star of the show although it is a good roast. The almond croissant was simply satisfactory. The vibrant bee themed decor and loud music make this more of a fun place to visit and get your coffee buzz rather than the quiet, relaxing type of coffee cafe. read more

I have been here a few times now. With my updated review, I still think that this place is the best in the local area for drinks right now and absolutely worth checking out! I still stand by the drinks being pretty good with higher than average prices. Still pretty expensive for standard drinks, but you can for the most part expect a very tasty drink. A few things i'm eh about are the price to quality ratio on the food. I have tried the better breakfast sandwich, the ham & cheese croissant, and the toasted bagel and cream cheese. The better breakfast had quite a bit of calories and was a bit over priced (as all items there) but it severally lacked flavor and substance. It didn't quite hit the stop. The bagel and cream cheese is what you'd get at a highschool brunch and the croissant was my favorite. TLDR: Food is kinda mid, super busy for online and in-person orders bc just opened so expect long wait times, overpriced yet good and consistent coffee. You should definitely come here and have your tasty treat when u think u deserve it. read more

Heard lots of good things about the original location which is in San Diego. I'm happy they recently opened one closer to home. When we came, we were greeted loudly by all the employees. Made us feel like as if the spotlight was on us. It was very busy that day and it's a new store so I understand it may take awhile for the drinks to come out. We ordered the tiramisu latte and the coconut frappe and both were a 5/5. The drinks were definitely on the milky and creamier side than sweet. The coconut frappe reminded me of the Kei Coffee House coconut frappe, but I honestly think Better Buzz tasted way better. It's right next to Mendocinco Farms and OCC, so it's not hard to miss. We have driven by this coffee shop quite often and finally decided to stop in. We asked the baristas what they liked best or if they could give us some recommendations. They were very helpful and did not miss with their suggestions. We got the horchata latte with a cinnamon cold top I believe. This location is seriously rage bait. One day they're so good and make the drinks stellar and the next day you could walk in and get a really watered down drink. Better Buzz is a solid spot if you're looking for a good cup of coffee--hot or iced. They have a nice variety of pastries, and everything I've tried so far has been pretty tasty. I recently got the iced peppermint mocha, and it was delicious, though I wish it had a bit more of that bold coffee flavor. Maybe I just need to add an extra shot next time--but at nearly $8, it's hard to justify adding more. That said, the service is always great. The staff was super friendly and I noticed they all were doing something as well as great at communicating orders or if they needed something. The seating area was super clean inside and outside. When ordering I like that they offer whether you'd like to get any pastries, whether you'd like small or large. I order the large lavender tea latte with oat milk and the gluten free donut. They chose for me which I got but I'd never had the coconut one and it reminded me of an almond joy! The donut was moist and as always with gluten free a little crumbly but it was super delicious. This is an upscale coffee spot that really knows how to do sweet drinks right. My go-to is the honey latte--it's smooth, just the right amount of sweet, and totally addictive. You can even customize the sweetness level, which is a nice touch. Plus, they offer a discount if you bring your own cup--always a bonus. They've got a great selection of pastries, and I've noticed a lot of people stopping in just for the açaí bowls--they're clearly a crowd magnet. Iced Coconut Sugar Cinnamon Swirl Latte - Cozy, and that cinnamon + coconut sugar on top is chef's kiss. I recommend getting it 1/4 sweet, easy ice for the espresso to shine through. Cucumber Mate Lemonade - So crisp, a tad tart, and uber refreshing, like a spa day in a drink. Prickly in Pink Mojito-Energy - This one surprised me! A little tangy, a little minty, and super energizing. I recommend subbing the energy drink for lemonade and getting it 1/4 sweet, easy ice. It sways on the sweeter side! One of my favorite spots in town! Buzzer Buzz is one of my go-to's for a great coffee.. All of the food I've tried is great too. Their iced americano is my favorite but I also think the iced lattes are good if you can't do black coffee..I also like the feta avocado toast and croissants.. Very kind and friendly staff. The "best drink ever" was literally so smooth and easy to drink that it quite easily could be the best drink ever. The cinnamon cold foam cold brew was also good. I give that drink 4/5 because you can get tired of it. I also got the OG açaí and the kids and I really enjoyed that too. I like that the açaí had great consistency and wasn't watery. The pistachio croissant was also ok, not sweet. I would like more filling maybe. The apple pop tart was almost nostalgic. The apples inside gave it the adult feel but overall reminded me of the strawberry strudels we used to eat as a kid. Will definitely be coming back! read more
