Follow up to the owner's claims: I have the tracking, the emails and the phone records to prove what I stated in the initial review. I waited several business days and it still had not shipped, let alone been delivered. I'm familiar with logistics and delivery challenges but you never once clarified when to expect delivery let alone apologized for failing to meet the expectations set on your web site. Moreover you emailed me and asked me to call, presumably so you could "explain things" but when I did call you simply insulted me, told me that you cancelled my order and hung up. Deny that? I worked in a family owned business from childhood and no one there ever treated a customer like you treated me. Unfortunately Zero Stars is not an option... read more

Was having problems with the captcha when placing online order. I called at 8am and got through to the owner who was extremely rude and cocky on the phone. All I was doing was verifying my online order went through. After a few minutes of his jerky attitude, I wished him a wonderful day and weekend. A few minutes later, he takes the time to call me back and identified himself as the owner and that he cancelled my order and told me to buy somewhere else. The reviews and ratings on Yelp are consistent and true. Don't bother making any purchases with this guy or his store. read more

I needed a part for a pool heater that I thought I would never find. Luckily I found it here, but my problem is that they are hours away. Not a problem for them as they ship products. I received the part really quick at a great price. Leak is no more! read more

I'm Enrique Valdez, a pool guy in San Diego County. I recently purchased some repair parts from Best Pool Shop and I'm really satisfied with the parts I bought and their on-time delivery. Thanks, Best Pool Shop. read more

Called their Pasadena store just to ask a quick basic question to see if they had an item in stock. I've never encountered anyone so rude and hostile and totally unprovoked representing a business. was planning on driving to store to make a purchase but this totally changed my mind. Evidently they don't want or need your business. read more

It was great finding the epoxy paint needed but when calling to get information the person with the accent was very rude, unaccommodating and belittling. I had to put my husband on the phone since I wasn't getting anywhere with their rep. That didn't feel good, not stone friendly whatsoever. And they don't do refunds on unused sealed pool paint. I will not purchase from them again. read more

I ordered a new Haward pool cleaner. Ordering was easy. Delivery was included and the price was right. The product arrived promptly. I'll buy from these guys again. read more

This place is a scam. Ordered a part online which was supposed to be OEM equipment - it isn't. Doesn't even work - it's defective. Paid more so that I wouldn't have to deal with substandard parts. Good thing that it wasn't that expensive. When I contacted them to replace or refund the order, I got an email from "Legal Department" admonishing me not to try and get a refund, or dispute the charge on my credit card. Just now seeing the other reviews that would have warned me in advance of the fraud scheme these guys are running. Seems like a lot of effort on their part for not a lot of money, but here we are! read more

Great prices, quick shipping. They lost a star for placing Hayward® at the header of the item when it was an aftermarket part and not OEM. However, I should have read into it a bit deeper, as it shows the brand lower in the description. Still, slightly deceptive and I wish retailers didn't do this. All in all, it was made in the US, and pool vac works great, so I will continue to be a customer, as they were quick to respond to my queries. read more

Best Pool Shop made it so easy to order and receive the vacuum we needed. And best of all... it was less than half the price cheaper than our local pool service quoted. That's HUGE! And it was described perfectly so we knew what we were paying for. We definitely use them in the future. read more

Online part store is a scam, website and infomation leads you to believe parts will be delivered not "in store pick up". Paid $100, no deliverly no product. Pentair Micro Brite item number 1336538. I bought a pool leveler from best pools in Pasadena,it took a week to get here, and it was missing the hardware bag and clamp. to set it on my pool, took awhile to get somebody to talk with, I talked to some body ,they told me it I cound not find it in the box,the box is not that big, it was not in the box. then he told me you don't need the hardware kit, I told him this is crap, he told me I'm not respecting him and he wanted my name. bottom line this is a resale joint ,missing parts, I will never by any thing from this rip off joint. again--run!!!! read more

Ordered a pool light from a-to-Z, Pool Shop and when I received it, I opened the box and noticed the bolt that holds the front to the canister was bent, so I thought, instead of returning it that I could straighten it out and still install it, turned out to be a little tougher than I thought. I text them with my order number and told them what the problem was and they got back to me right away, gave me an RMA number and sent it back when they received it. He called me and said that was normal and that they come from the factory that way, which I thought was unusual he even opened another box and showed me that it was like that. I guess pentair just expects you to buy a new fastener ring every time the light goes out. Anyway, Best Pool was very accommodating and even though it was my fault that I didn't know they come that way and I took it apart. They still offered the option of a refund or send the light back to me, very reasonable people to deal with highly recommend. read more

I called for a question and the customer service was horrible. I didn't even finish my question before I was cut off. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I want to update experience. I received a replacement part after my original was lost in shipping. The item was well packaged and I was concerned that I might receive a knockoff to the OEM part that I was hoping to get, but to my surprise I received exactly what I was expecting the original OEM DE internal filter and have installed it in my pool filter. I couldn't believe happier with the results. I will definitely be returning to Best Pool Shop for any future needed items. Thank you. read more

Great service and best price on all pool equipment. No middleman. The best pool sweep I've ever owned incredible low prices.

very happy with the product, My pool company said it's a very Good Bottom pool cleaner. The only issue was it took fifteen days to get it in the Mail, I would suggest they use u.p.s Instead of the mail system. The price was very reasonathe best I saw online. Also I did contact the company about taking so long to get and they were very Quick with their response. And they did keep on top of it. I would definitely order from this company again , but have it shipped by ups. read more

STAY AWAY. I should have read these review before using them Let me begin by saying that I did buy an item from them last week and it arrived ok. However that was the good, here is todays recap.....THE BAD.... I went online and tried to order some valve parts from them, since this ship to address is different from my bill to address, their system would not allow it. They used the excuse of credit card fraud, but they have a workaround that they offer... its supposed to link your Amazon Pay...and ship to one of your Amazon locations. I attempted to use that option. It did not work. I tried 3 times with no success. It would not ( could not? ) confirm the payment. I tried calling the store but the man that I spoke with was extremely rude and said that " they only do walk in business at this location. he then hung up. I called the internet side but they don't take phone calls. If you need anything it is by text only. I tried texting them to help solve it and they immediately became Hostile and began accusing me of trying to commit some sort of fraud. They said" its working for everyone else, just not you". They proceeded to escalate the situation and turn extremely hostile, and state that I am trying to have them commit some sort of FRAUD. They now have said that they are going to somehow leave negative comments on 3 sites for me. They have banned me as a customer (Haha). This is a clear example of why you need a dedicated sales team of Customer service people. I have not seen this level of unprofessional business behavior in decades. I am curious to see if they leave a response to this review... will it be apologetic? or hostile? one thing for SURE... STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! I should have read the BBB reviews and the numerous ones all over the internet. Buyer BEWARE. read more
