I like this place. Always has what I need at a fair price and with knowledgeable staff.

Good selection and excellent prices. The staff is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I ordered a special deck rail for my pool and it came quickly. Great place for pool supplies read more

Great guys, great service, and very knowledgeable without the upsell. They explain price point differences very well for competing products and have provided very useful advice where others just offer a blanket solution of draining your pool. Hands down the best in town. They've probably saved Burbank DWP hundreds of thousands of gallons of water in the advice they've given customers through the handful of times I've been there. read more

Awesome experience, The staff is so friendly, and very professional. The most important thing is that they are not trying to oversell products like the 'famous' pool suppliers do. I really recommend this place. read more

The customer service here is amazing... It has a hometown family feel to it ...they really care about the customers... I had such a horrible experience at Leslie's pools on victory they lost a 20 year customer because I will be going to this discount Pool Mart from now on ... The service is unbeatable read more

Best pool store on this side of the valley. if your on the other side of the valley, they have stores there too. stay away from L*****s, even their name has the word lie in it. read more

While the customer service was very nice their acid is watered down a lot. This is the problem you have if you buy it at one of the box stores. That is why it is cheaper there. DPM charges you for full strength and then sold me watered down acid. No thanks! read more

I had 2 technicians from the Tarzana store come out to replace our old pool motor and pump with a new variable speed one. Jacob and Nick we're very professional and courteous. They were educated about the new pump and didn't mind taking the time to explain how it operated. They also took care of the paperwork so we could receive the rebate from D.W.P. Which was significant. If you too are thinking of replacing your old motor and pump, call these guys. read more

Excellent retail pool product store, helpful, friendly and best prices. I buy my pool chlorine exclusively there because it is the best most potent product I've used in ten years‼ read more

I'm done with Paradise Pool! I wrote a review a few years back (also not a good review), and the then owner Francisco asked me to remove it, as he was in the midst of selling the business. I loved Mary & George when they owned it, but the pool service was abysmal. The serviceman wouldn't show up half of the time. I saw that there is a new owner as of April 2019, and although they showed up for service, the serviceman had no idea what he was doing. They billed me for a filter clean and conditioning in April 2019, a service they DID NOT PERFORM. When I called the store about it, the new owner admitted the pool service guy didn't know what he was doing. Forward to today. My pool pump has no pressure. Probably because the filter was never cleaned in spring as it was supposed to be. When I called the shop, the owner told me to NOT pay the bill, and take my business elsewhere. Believe me, I will! For those who may already use Paradise Pool & Spa Service. Please note that any services they billed you for in April/May of 2019; like water conditioning and/or filter cleaning, were not performed, per the owner himself. Yet Paradise managed to bill all of their customers for a service they did not perform. How is this even legal? I called the Burbank police department, and asked if it is a crime. I was informed that it would be if Paradise Pool falsely billed for services to more than just me. Please let me know if so, or contact Burbank PD at 818-238-3000 and file a complaint. I have also contacted California Department of Consumer Affairs, the Better Business Bureau, and the Federal Trade Commission to file complaints against Paradise Pool. Stay away! My follow up a couple of hours later reveal that Paradise Pool is operating pool and spa maintenance without state Worker's Compensation insurance, and has been for several months. I have filed a complaint with the Contractors License Board for the scam billing, and now I will file a complaint with the CLB for Paradise Pool not having worker's compensation insurance. Paradise, hey, wouldn't it have been better if you just performed the services you billed for? Sh*t's gonna hit the fan for you in a couple of weeks...I'm just gonna sit back and relax while your karma catches up with you! read more

I already wrote a review, but evidently they removed it. I asked my pool man who I should contact to fix my pool light. He recommended Discount Pool Mart. I called and Vic came out the same day. I was so impressed......until he never got back to me with a price and what day they could send someone out to install it. I called and left message after message for him to call me back.....he never did. Finally I was given Victor's cell phone number, when I DID reach him that way, he gave me a price on the light canister which I said was fine, and that he would have someone call me to install it. That was over a month ago. I just wanted to see if anyone would call me. I guess a $500.00 job isn't big enough for them to waste their time with me. I DONE WITH THEM! read more

Have received ok service in the past. Giving a review today as this is the 2nd time I've attempted to go there and they are closed. Your profile says open until 3pm. You were closed at 2:17PM. You can be closed all day, it's your business. However, please make sure your customers have accurate information. Our time is just as important as yours. read more

I'm a new homeowner and I maintain my pool without the help of a pool guy, when I have a question I ask George and he is always more than helpful to provide a solution. About a month ago my Kreepy Krawler stopped working, unbeknownst to me the pressure was building up. George asked for my address, drove to my house, backwashed my filter, called me at work and told me what needed to be done. Now that's what I call service! Hands down the best pool supply in burbank. read more

This place has great customer service. They tell me exactly what I need and what to do for our pool.

This is HANDS DOWN the BEST mom and pop pool supply store in all of SoCal! Upon entering I was immediately greeted by a sweet couple named George and Mary who were beyond welcoming! First off, the store had been COMPLETELY remodeled since the last time I had visited it which was years ago when the owner was some oriental gentleman that didn't care about appearance.... Now, everything from the walls, to the ceiling, to the shelves and even the floors were redone! This tells me right off the bat that the new ownership/management cares about their store and wants people to come in. Secondly, I originally came in just for chlorine liquids but after talking with George and Mary I couldn't help resist buying the rest of my pool supplies from them, such as; a net, brush, an extended pole and even a much needed pool motor! All for an amazing deal that would have costed me a fortune at any larger pool supply store... Lastly, for me the most important thing is that they provided me EXCELLENT customer service! Not only were they both extremely knowledge about pools and how to clean/maintain them but they gave me advice on how to check my water levels properly to make sure that the pool is as best as it could be. All in all my experience was one of a kind. The drive is far for me but I don't care because it's people like George and Mary that will keep me being a customer for life! read more

We stopped going to a chain store (overpriced!). Decided to try this place. Been here twice and had a really great experience both times. First time, we needed to pick up chlorine, the second time we needed a pool sweeper. Prices are very reasonable, the service is exceptional, everyone we've encountered is so knowledgeable, professional, and personable. We will absolutely keep coming back for sure! read more

I love discount pool mart !! I have not experienced the services of the pervious owners (PARADISE POOL), however Discount pool mart has been nothing but amazing with me.. Awesome customer service! I just moved in the area and Vardan (the store owner) was extremely patient with all my questions regarding how to clean my pool and what products to use. Thank you again, I will be a regular here you won my business with your honest work! read more

I love this place! I buy all my pool stuff from them, especially chemicals. I also go there whenever I have to do maintenance to the pool parts, as they carry almost everything. One time the capacitor died in my motor, and he had one on the shelf for a few bucks (couldn't find it anywhere else btw). I buy all my chemicals there as well, because he's a lot more affordable. I also ask for advice all the time, and they are happy to share pro tips and tricks. They never upsell me. read more

Just bought a home with a pool in less than perfect working order. It's been a trial and error learning about pumps, filters, cleaning, etc. I've tried a few different pool businesses and THIS IS THE PLACE. Forget Leslie's. I actually scheduled an appointment with one of Leslie's maintenance guys to look at pump and heater. They charge 100 bucks just to show up and don't do ANYTHING besides tell you how much money it's going to be to install new everything... which I didn't even end up needing. Saved about $3500 there. Paradise is the place where all the independent pool maintenance/ service guys go to get their supplies, so you know the prices are right. I just bought a kreepy krawly pool cleaner from them and Doyle took it out of the box and put it together for me in about 5 minutes. Compare that to the hour it would have taken me had I bought it elsewhere and carried it home in the unopened box. Do yourself a favor and skip Leslie's and hit this place. All of the employees are really helpful, primarily Doyle and Carlos. read more

They changed my pool pump and it went bad in less than 6 month, because it was still under warranty they manufacture replaced the pump and they wanted to charge me for labor, now after another 6 month pump/Motor went bad again. I called him to use the manufacturer warranty but he refuses to help because he had to cover labor on last pump, he (George the owner) was very rude and told me go do whatever you want "ask your pool man to get a new pump for you". They are not trustworthy and very rude, they don't stand by product they sell. Don't trust them and don't but anything from them. read more

Cheers to Paradise Pools. Doyle and Fernando both are fantastic!

They were really helpful, saved me money with a part to my Hayward DE filter (didn't try to up sell me the whole enchilada for substantially more!) i'm going to use this competitively priced local Ma. & Pa Store rather than the totally useless Chain Store ( rhymes w/Nestle's lol) from Arizona that has f-d me around countless times! read more

I came in Discount Pool Mart looking for a product to help keep my pool cleaner, an employee William provided great service and helped me a lot to figure out which product was best for my pool. I was so pleased to meet George at Paradise Pool. He assisted me with providing safety equipment for poolside, for an online video on water safety. He was so helpful and gracious, and his employees helped identify products that could help our viewers. I am very grateful to Paradise Pool and Spa - their generosity may save more lives! Very nice people. I was talking to George about a problem I was having with my Pentair 2000 series filter. He jumped in my car and came to my house and had a look at the problem and he suggested an easy fix that would postpone a replacement of the filter. I always get my chemicals from them as they are so pleasant. read more

We recently fired Paradise Pool Service after over a year of subpar service. Half of the time they wouldn't show up on the day they were supposed to, and sometimes they wouldn't even show up at all. The people that they sent knew nothing about the mechanics and chemistry of pool maintenance. It took them over a month to fix our pool vac after we alerted them to the fact that it wasn't working. Their minions couldn't seem to operate our salt system to maintain a chlorine residual in our pool water, and resorted to throwing in one of those floating chorine dispensers. The icing on the cake was them cleaning our diatomaceous earth filter and dumping about a quarter inch of diatomaceous earth over our back patio and pet area. Run don't walk from these clowns. read more

I was trying to build a pool in my backyard of a house I recently bought. I went to discount pool mart to ask a few questions about where to start. Immediately I was given connections to people who can build my pool, pool plumbing experts and even weekly pool service specialists and they were all at such a great price I couldn't refuse. They also helped me with all the parts and supplies I need to build my pool and keep it healthy throughout the years. These guys are amazing. I've been to all locations of discount pool mart and they're all equally as great. I really appreciate the customer service and the time they spent to help me out. After I finished building my pool I thought I'd spread the word about discount pool mart to all my pool owner buddies. Turns out everyone already knew about how great it was. This place is the reason that I'm so in love with my pool. I don't regret a dime I spent here. I highly recommend that everyone give discount pool mart a visit. I promise you won't regret it!!! read more

We came to this store to buy supplies because we wanted to start cleaning our pool ourselves, tired of paying the pool man for their lousy job, any way we had no idea of where to start , but George and his wife were supper helpful they spend a long time explaining to us what to do and how to do what needs to be done, and helped us pick up the supplies that we needed, they both are super friendly and very knowledgeable. This is a great store with a great customer service, thanks. read more

I recently called about an issue I was having with my pool heater, expecting to have a technician sent out accompanied by a few-hundred-dollar invoice. Instead, the person who answered the phone carefully explained what was happening with my heater and informing me that it was completely normal heater operation.
