Look no further if you're looking to build a new pool in the Los Angeles area! The owner Artin was great to work with, super responsive (which is very important when you're dealing with construction), and handled everything for us, from obtaining permits to scheduling inspections and hiring the best subcontractors who are experts at what they do. Our pool build took 3 months from start to finish (not including time to secure the permits) and was completed in time for us to enjoy it during the sizzling hot days of this past summer. Amazing! Artin came by often during construction to check on progress and make sure the job was getting done right and to his standards. He even discovered some minor issues that he took the initiative to get fixed, and of course took care of any concerns that we brought up as well. We also added an auto pool cover for safety reasons since we have young kids, plus a wifi connected system that lets us control the spa, pool temperature and LED lights using an app on our phones. We love how our pool and backyard turned out and would highly recommend working with Artin and Athlon Pool Company! read more

Artin and his crew were exceptional! We have nothing but great things to say about the level of service we received. We initially went with another company who was a huge disappointment--so we backtracked and contacted Artin again and they were ready to start on our project pretty quickly. They demolished our backyard and started the excavation rather quickly. Ultimately, they put in a pool, an outdoor shower, and a bar area equipped with a grill, sink, and refrigerator. Artin was very communicative and came to our home whenever we had a question. His crew was very efficient and put a lot of effort in to ensure the quality of their work was beyond our expectations. read more

I wish there was a way to write 0 stars. My friend attempted to use Artin for her pool in Encino. At first she liked and trusted him- The key phrase being AT FIRST. At first Artin seemed completely organized, reasonably priced, on top of every detail. So then my friend referred me to him and I worked with him on my pool plans in Studio City. Suddenly we both started experiencing the same thing with him-he wouldn't follow through on the tasks he was supposed to, he lied about the status of the project and what he had completed, he made false promises about dates, and ultimately he never delivered on a pool for either of us. Let me tell you, this guy took us for a ride. He is very dishonest and quite frankly, horrible at his job. We had to remind him of what was missing from our plans, what had to be done next, etc. It was never him proactively working on moving the process along. Needless to say, both my friend and I went on to hire new contractors, and it's been a smooth process ever since Artin was no longer involved. Artin made false promises, he was very dishonest about the projects he was working on and where mine fit into his schedule, he never owned up to any mistakes, he would not return phone calls for WEEKS, the list goes on and on. I'm telling you, my friend and I were on edge with anxiety for months dealing with him. It was HORRIBLE. I am writing this review to warn anyone looking for a pool contractor. Run. Run as far away as you possibly can. This guy is a liar, a snake and a crook. This is not the guy who is going to complete the job for you. Save yourself time, money, and energy and find someone else. There's plenty of options in LA. read more

The owner of this company, named Artin, worked/built my mother's pool in Glendale. Artin is dishonest, not communicative, over promises, falls short, lies, falls short and lies again. He is the most dishonest and crooked businessman I have come into contact in my 49 years on this planet. He says a lot of things he never does. He promises prices he can not deliver on. He gives you dates and times that he NEVER shows up to. You will go days, weeks and months with 0 contact from Artin. He is the worst business man I have ever come into contact with and he should not be building pools. This man and his company lie, lie and then lie again. They will NEVER deliver on what they say they are going to do and you will waste weeks and months waiting for communication from Athlon Pools that never, ever comes. Do NOT use this company. You will be very, very, very disappointed in the crooked and dishonest business practices. read more

I had an old larger outdated pool. Artin transformed it into a fabulous pool that makes me feel like I'm in a resort in my backyard. I told him I needed it to be finished by a certain day for a Holiday party. Despite unforeseen delays and material shortages he was able to complete my beautiful oasis in time. read more

Athlon Pool Company - Pool & Hot Tub Service Near Me - burbank, California

Our pool had an issue with suction and our Kreepy Krauly hasn't worked well in months. Then, the pool motor that we bought from Leslie's Pool Supply broke and they offered $330 for a replacement part. When all hope seemed lost, we found Athlon Pool Company! The owner, Artin came was extremely nice and extremely helpful! He came to our home and gave us a quote for the pool motor repair which was much more affordable than Leslie's option. Not only that, but he went above and beyond by eliminating a non-useful filter we've had since the 70's AND fixed the suction issue by clearing out major blockage in the lines. Our pool cleaning and filtration system have never been as functional as they are now and my family and I have Artin and Athlon Pool Company to thank for that! The best in the valley and highly recommended for those with the simplest or most infuriating issues at a very reasonable price! Thanks guys, we will definitely be coming back for your business! read more

I've been using Athlon Pool Company for about 3 years now and they have been perfect since day 1. I've had many services done on my pool besides my weekly cleaning and they have never once made me doubt their ability to do the work nor did they try to overcharge me. The guys that come are always alert, well mannered, always clean up and lock up before they leave. i've recommended many to them and they have been awesome! read more

Athlon and Artin (owner) are amazing! When I bought my place a year ago, I needed someone to come out and scope out the work the pool needed. Artin was honest and straightforward and, best of all, doesn't try to up sell. He has since replastered the pool, exchanged out my old pump for a variable speed, and since I liked his work so much, he helped design and build my bbq area. He's quick to answer questions and come thru if anything is wrong. Only caveat is he's very very busy, so projects might run a little bit longer than expected, but the results are worth it! Oh, and they also do weekly pool service and my pool looks pristine every week! Highly recommend. read more

I received an email from Athlon Pool Company about a week ago and was so disappointed that I decided to post to Yelp again. I had asked for a discount for all the mishaps that had happened and his answer was no discount and added "leaves us with a balance of $3,750.00 you asked for a discount, I believe, you not finding me from Yelp and leaving me a 3 star review, is a punishment enough." I think anyone who would write this to a customer should have his review updated again and all stars taken away. So I've now changed my last review and hope that many people see this. read more

I did a review and I forgot to post it. Shame on me because he's a great guy. Today I had an issue I was unable to solve. True to character he came by and fixed it. As a response to Athlon's reply to my review: I never insisted that just the bulb be replaced nor did I disagree with doing the job according to code. I just needed them to take a look at my pool light to see what needed to be done...that's it. I was told they would stop by and they never showed. Simple as that. read more

Artin from Athlon Pool Company and his team offered me an impeccable job and work. Artin is very professional and communicates well. The service offered was amazing and the work done was extremely well done. The team was always on time and completed the work on time. Importantly, I totally trusted Artin. Him and his team are very trustworthy and are great professionals. I would recommend them to anyone. Moreover, he recommended me Edmond for my weekly pool maintenance and I could not be more happy with the maintenance service. Great work Artin. A+++++ read more

Artin and his crew remodeled our outdated, leaky, concrete jungle pool into a backyard oasis for our family. Artin is easy to work with. I sent a message to this business inquiring about putting a new pool in my backyard. Artin called me back within 24 hours and we set up an appointment for 07/06 at 6PM for him to come to my house to review plans etc... He never showed up and never called me to tell me he would not be able to make it. Do not want to spend thousands of dollars with a company that does not make a meeting. read more

I highly recommend Athlon pool company. I had a pool built in my back yard. They explained the procedure step by step and they had a 3D design of what the pool would look like when done. Athlon did a pool inspection for me. Artin was very professional and friendly, prompt, and thorough. He even showed me how the pool works, and gave tips for maintenance. There was no upsell or anything like that, he just came for the inspection, did what we needed, and sent the report right away. Highly recommended for pool inspections! read more

Highly recommend for any of your pool service/repair needs! This company is prompt, courteous and very knowledgable. Does not hard sell or push anything your pool doesn't need. We had never owned a pool before and moved into our home two years ago. We could see some areas needing patching and wanted to get rid of ugly staining in areas. Not sure of the age or the condition of the plaster, we didn't know what would be involved with the repairs nor if it was possible to have a cleaner looking pool... while being on a tight budget? Artin came the same day I called (he was in the area) and looked over our pool and gave a service/repair recommendation & estimate. He could tell that our pool was about 30 years old due to the plumbing and the use of the copper pipes. He was very knowledgable about the action and care with handling a pool in our environment, our pool is built at the bottom of a steep cliff. He was very clear about his recommendations and all the possible "unknown factors" once the pool was drained and accessing the condition of the plaster around the areas needing patching. He gave several recommended options and verbal cost estimates for each option. We had gotten two other estimates (one solely over the phone - never looking at our pool). Both in the same price range and less than Athlon Pool. Neither of the other 2 companies were bonded, nor could I find their contractors license listed. Neither were as through as Athlon Pools with their assessments of the job and neither addressed the unknown factors like Artin did. We felt this was a case of "you get what you pay for" and we could not afford a disaster by going with the wrong contractor for this job. As soon as we decided to give the job to Athlon Pools, Artin (2 weeks later, still remembered us) emailed us a written estimate (same as the verbal price he quoted us) and had us scheduled for the job early the following week. He stayed in communication with us up until starting the job and was very accommodating with scheduling the work around our schedule. The day the job took place, 9:30 in the morning Artin personally started to drain our pool. By 3:30pm, his men were acid washing the pool's plaster and doing the patch work. By 5:30 pm the job was finished, started to refill the pool, were cleaned up and ready to leave. Another plus, they take credit cards! Our pool looks amazing! Almost brand new looking! Artin even updated our pool drain cover at no extra charge! Now we know the "health condition" of our pool. Artin, check the condition of the plaster for the entire pool and said it should last another 20 years! (Love his honesty!!!!) Yes, Athlon's estimate was a little more than the other estimates we received, but Artin's company is licensed, bonded and accredited with the BBB. PLUS, his knowledge and expertise in the field (and patience answering all of our questions with advice for future pool projects) made using Athlon Pool Co. the right choice! It was a pleasure working with Artin and using Athlon Pool Co.! Athlon Pool Co. is the only one we are calling for our pool needs! Happily swimming in Glendale! read more

I had a small problem with my pool's saline system. Called close to 10 guys. They either didn't return my call, or weren't interested, or never showed up. One guy tried to sell me a $3400 upgrade right over the phone. Not Artin. He diagnosed the problem right over the phone. He came out the next day and replaced the faulty part. He charged for the part and only $75 for the house call. Outstanding! read more

Athlon just converted my pool to salt water. He and his team did a great job. They were very straight forward and honest about pricing and the work was performed quickly and exactly as promised. Compared to so many contractors who are so often unreliable or flakey, Artin is a breath of fresh air. I recommend highly. read more

Excellent service. He was kind enough to even refer me to another guy when the work was out of his scope. Thanks Arten.

Artin was great! He told me he could fix my pool pump when others told me I needed a new one at 5 times the cost. I ended up getting a new vari speed, after all, which Artin and Co. installed. I used them a second time for a pool light replacement. Excellent, honest, and fair priced service from nice people. Highly recommended. read more

I would like to take a minute to write a review for this business. I have never done this before but if it helps you to determine who to use for your swimming pools needs this is the place. I really lucked out with Artin who came to my house gave me an eastimate (very reasonable) and did great work. Ive lived in the same home for over 33 years and have had my share of pool problems from contractors to pool cleaners and was never treated as nice with such honesty and yet resonable prices as with Athlon pools. They are very neat and when they leave everything was fixed and left clean. I will be calling on them again when I decide to switch to salt water. Thanks Artin Lynn of North Hollywood read more

Artin (Athlon Pool) did my pool, took the money and disappeared. My pool equipment does not generate salt/chlorine and his promises to take care of it have been lies. He is dishonest. I would not hire him. read more

I should start saying that the main reason I decided to call this company was because of all their 5 star reviews. However, my experience was totally opposite. I made an appointment for someone to come in between 9am-10am and give me an estimate, but nobody showed up. Yet, I called after half an hour and asked them if they still coming and the guy said he is running late; has to take care of a client and will come at 1pm or 1:15pm. I got a call again around 12 30 that he is on his way will be there in half an hour, again another call 20 minutes after that his car is "overheated" and can't come. He asked me what day is good for me to reschedule and I said I can do tomorrow. He said he will be there 11am tomorrow, but he never showed up and I never even got a call from anybody canceling the appointment. I WASTED TWO MORNINGS OF MY TIME WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO COME GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE FOR REPLASTERING THE POOL. IT WAS TOTALLY UNPROFESIONAL THAT THE THEIR STAFF LET ME WONDER WITHOUT SHOWING UP OR AT LEAST GIVING ME A CALL. read more

I had a bad experience with contractors in the past, so I met with a few contractors before choosing to work with Athlon pool company. After working with Art, now I know that not all contractors are out to get your money and not finish the job they started. Art listens to you and gives suggestions and ideas to help you achieve the look you want while keeping affordability in mind. Art makes himself available to his clients by cell phone and actually responds to texts. We started with a simple pool, and ended up with complete backyard restoration with a pool, zero edge spa, pavers and BBQ area. Art even threw in a couple of freebies and surprises. We are more than satisfied with our new backyard. It has been a pleasure to work with Art and his team. If you are looking for someone who can do it all and not over charge you, do not waste your time interviewing other pool contractors. Athlon pool company will not disappoint you!! read more

Artin is honest, creative, fair and an absolute pleasure to work with. We hired Artin to remodel out outdated existing pool --- he modified the depth, added a spa, baja step, created new entry points to the pool, and did hardscape work around the pool and in other areas of our yard. When we decided to make changes mid-stream, he was always flexible and it was like working with a best friend. It is clear that Artin's primary goal is to make his customer happy. His pricing is fair and he was always thinking of ways to stretch our money to make the biggest splash!!! I highly recommend Artin --- 5 stars all the way. read more

I live in the Burbank area and have owned a pool for 15 years. I've been thru a number of service people. Art is a solid business guy. I've never had anybody answer their phone on a Sunday (pools always have problems on the weekend when you want to use them) and have absolutely never had anyone help me diagnose and check the problem over the phone without wanting a service call maybe 2 or 3 days later, if they bother to show at all. Not only did Tony talk me thru the likely problem but he was right on and I was able to clear the issue myself. No one out there provides this kind of service, let alone response. Give him your business, he's earned mine. read more

We called Athlon pools as our pool was impossible to keep clean. It was green and disgusting and the chemicals weren't working. Art the owner returned my initial call within a day and came by the following day. We also had a light that had burnt out. Art assessed the problems and explained our options. We decided to have it acid washed. He gave us a great bid and his guys were on time and very professional. Our pool now looks AMAZING! I can't even believe it is the same pool.
