They basically built a brand new pool as the only part salvageable from our existing pool was the gunite pool shell. I rarely write reviews and never write bad ones but Premier Pool Plastering is THE WORST! I wish someone had warned me, before I hired them. Stay away!!! Here's our story: We hired Premier Pool Plastering to replaster our pool a few years ago. The job went well until about 2 months after they finished. At that point, large rust spots appeared all over our freshly plastered pool. I contacted Premier. They came out and looked at our problem and blamed it on pool chemistry... on construction in the neighborhood... on anything they could think of. Finally, a few months later they eventually they came clean and admitted it was a problem with the batch of pebble tech they used. So they replastered our pool a second time. Because the problem was completely their fault, the replaster didn't cost anything but I had to pay for the water and start up, which isn't cheap. But I thought, "OK, accidents happen," and gave them the benefit of the doubt. The second replaster started the same as the first: everything went fine until about 2 months after they finished then- large calcium nodules started appearing across our whole pool. Again I contacted them. Again they blamed it on pool chemistry- even though our chemistry has been perfect and that all the pool experts I've talked to agree that calcium nodules result from a poor plastering job and not water chemistry. Anyways- end of story is that after a ton of wasted time and money- Premier did a terrible job. TWICE! And worse than that, they didn't take responsibility for their mistakes. I'm so frustrated by the whole experience that I'm trying to decide if it's worth the effort to hire a lawyer. Do yourself a favor. Hire another company. read more

I was so bummed that we needed to redo our very large pool! The recent earthquakes, along with our special geological situation, led to some significant cracks in our pool. Obviously these needed repair, with a replastering of our pool. From the initial appointment all the way through the end of the process, everyone we worked with was friendly and informative. Mike was our project leader; he gave us the estimate, was onsite for the beginning of all major components of the project, especially the repairs. And, while I am always super polite, I can be a bit of a pain, as I ask a million questions! I'm so thankful that all the ladies in the office (Marisol, Gaby) who responded to my many, many, emails were very patient and detailed in answering all my questions. Our pool needed some extra TLC in the start-up service component, and Enrique, the technician was on top of everything and came as many times as he needed to (more than just the 5 as part of the contract) to make sure that everything was perfect in our pool. While this unexpected expense was not the best news, I am so glad that we went with Premier Pool Plastering. The repairs look super solid, they preserved our existing tile, and went above and beyond in their customer service. When our 70 year old gunnite pool sprung a leak last winter, we gathered quotes from several different contractors. The prices ranged from expensive to "you've gotta be kidding" expensive. Sam from Premier came across as earnest and sincere. He answered all of my questions, addressed every concern and quickly provided a detailed and very competitive quote. We ended up having our pool re-plastered with a pebble finish, handrails and ladder steps replaced and all copper plumbing from equipment to pool, including the skimmer and old out of code drain, replaced with PVC. Here's the list of all the things that went wrong....and the owners are liars - one lie led to another!...and they're lying about how they didn't collect $12,100 in money when they did collect $15,800...they were paid in full for the coping-they were paid IN HALF for the pebble finish as it was not the color we wanted-so we paid HALF of 5,200 because we're 50% happy!....Marisol and Danny, please do not lie - folks, message me if you want!! You want to make this right and get 5 stars? - come and take out the wrong White Mini Pebble surface that was due to "human error" (lie) and put in the Aqua White Mini pebble we ORDERED instead and we'll give the rest of the surface money of $2,600- what do you say to that? THINGS THAT WENT WRONG WITH OUR POOL RE-MODEL..... - broken drain down spout in sidewalk concrete - never corrected - broken horizontal drain pipe in sidewalk concrete - corrected - wrong concrete grey coping color installed - corrected by ANOTHER company - New coping not covered when pool tile and grout were installed-coping stained and will not come out! - FINALLY, wrong color mini pebble surface - we wanted AQUA White - we got just White mini - as they say "human error", we don't believe this, as we heard there was NO SUPPLY of Aqua White Mini in the US and we asked them if they had it and they said yes!! - we believe Premier just wanted to "get the job over with".... - and a worker either Marvin or Jesus, one of the tile guys - one guy stole our concrete stamper/tamper tool that was ours - $40 bucks....nice huh? Way overdue to write a rave review of Miguel and all the teams he brought together to finish our replastering job right on time earlier this year. This was a major expense for us, so did plenty of research, multiple bids, etc., and we're so glad we went with Premier. consistent, excellent communication, and Miguel was frequently on-site to supervise crews that were tidy, focused, and professional from start to finish. Any bumps along the way (our concrete was ancient and produced way more dust than expected, for example) were handled efficiently with no slow-downs in workflow. Front office was always responsive and the few minor issues were resolved quickly and always to our satisfaction. Miguel followed-up after the job was done and has always been responsive to any questions or concerns. I am the owner/builder for a new pool and I had no referrals for a pool plastering company. I did some Google searches for my area. Premier looked good, but so did one other. However further inquiry revealed the other company did not want to do the required acid wash, because the other company did not want to risk streaking. So, I went with Premier. They gave me a slightly better price than the other company and included the required acid wash. The quote was straight forward and they were on time on the day of the plastering. I decided to go with something called Quartz Scape (finer aggregates than mini pebble). They plastered, acid washed and filled the pool same day. This company also offers pool startup. I elected to do it with them for an added cost to keep it all under the same roof. The pool startup lasted 5 days and they started the very next day after plastering. The plaster is beautiful and we have already had compliments from people who came over to see it. We chose a light blue color, but they have many options. I was concerned initially not knowing who to go with. But we made the right decision. We are VERY VERY VERY HAPPY with Premier Pool Plastering. Thank God we went with them. read more

From start to finish, premier pool plastering and everybody they sent out was professional, came when they were supposed to, did a great job, and could not have been nicer. Even the minor mix-ups were quickly corrected, with tile guys showing up and doing the last minute job despite a nearby fire, and gates that inspectors had issues with fixed almost immediately. The company is extremely disorganized. They called me three times 3-4 days before to confirm the appointment. On the day of appointment they did not show up. I called them and the person over the phone said that "sorry, our workers are on vacation and we can't do your work!" Absolutely unprofessional , they didn't even call to let me know that appointment is cancelled. I took the day off for them and lost my wages because of them. When I pressured the person over the phone that I need this service and can't afford cancellation, she mentioned that according to the contract, they are able to "change the appointment time and date without prior notice!!" and there is nothing that I can do "according to the contract" What a joke and what a waste of time. This review is coming 18 months after the job so take it for what it's worth. I am posting this review since it is something that I would have liked to have known before parting with what I consider no small chunk of change. I am very disappointed with the plastering of my pool. There are several spots where the plaster appears to be spread so thin you can see the gunite beneath (pictures included). I reached out to the company early this year and provided pictures. I was told my issue was due to the wildfires in my area (Granada Hills, October 2019), and could be rectified with a light acid wash which they would be glad to provide. This made no sense because the ash at the bottom of the pool, which was promptly cleaned out, was uniform and the issue is with the spots. These spots are clearly an inconsistent finish and are a noticeably different texture than the rest of the pool. read more

Premier Pool Plastering is an A-1 company! We called them back because they did such a great job 3 years ago replastering our pool. This time we needed leak detection. We were losing water too fast to blame on evaporation. Sure enough, they did a test and found the leaks in our PVC pipe network. The work to replace the bad pipes buried under the concrete took a few days and now the leak is completely gone. We hired Premier Pool & Plastering a year after we had initially gotten a quote from them, and several others, for our pool remodel project. Premier was not the lowest bid, but Daniel Preciado impressed us so much with his honesty about what we needed to focus on, that we hired them once it turned Spring. They provided an updated quote and got started within a couple of days. The crew was here, on time, each day they were supposed to be; and typically left the pool area pretty clean when they would leave. There were a few times when we didn't know if anyone was showing up that day, but a quick call to Marisol in the office usually cleared that right up. Besides one small mistake on our cement around the pool filter, the craftsmanship for piping, cement, plaster and tile was exceptional! We are very pleased with the way the pool came out.
