We first interacted with Scott a year ago (2025), when we requested a quote for re-plastering and retiling with mini pebbles. He was probably the second or third contractor that we had gotten a quote from. Price-wise, he was in the middle but he was the first contractor who pointed out that our pool had copper piping, which was at least 60 years old and might start failing us. We didn't end up doing the work that year because getting new quotes with the additional scope of plumbing got too overwhelming too close to summer. Come 2026, we got updated quotes for plaster and piping and Scott was once again in the middle price-wise but we liked how knowledgeable he was so hired him. We actually chose him over an acquaintance. What I appreciated most about Scott was how responsive he was. If I had a question, he would text back or call within the hour. When I asked him "can we do X," he wasn't shy about saying, "we COULD but I think we should do Y instead because of Z." He also continued answering my questions, some of which were admittedly stupid (me: "do you provide the pool return directional thingies," him: "they're already installed"), even after I gave him his final check. As much as I praise Scott, this isn't a one-man deal. I also got to interact with his demo team, plumber, plastering team, and service man and they were all positive interactions. Even if he wasn't doing the work himself, he chose a good team and was there during every step. read more

I cannot recommend Scott and Goodfellow pools highly enough! When I discovered some pool issues and needed to have the entire thing resurfaced, Scott was there. He walked me through the process, help me understand what the impacts would be, and my options, gave his recommendation and then respected my choice. His team was there in no time and worked at an incredibly fast pace. The dollar amount Scott quoted me is the dollar amount he charged me. He was very responsive no matter what time of the day I sent him a text message. He's the kind of guy that I wish I had for all home improvement and Contractor needs. You won't go wrong reaching out to him even if it's just to find out information. I appreciated his service so much that I recommended him to some good friends and neighbors and they were also very happy with his service. read more

Scott really saved the day and went above and beyond! I honestly don't think that there's a better Pool contractor or contractor in general out there. I 1000% will hire him again. I hired a pool contractor to fix a leak for a client, and we decided to replace the tile and they did the absolute worst jib ever! handle and left us. I spent months trying to find somebody to remove the tile and replace it. When I finally found Scott, he made it so easy and he was so knowledgeable that he even suggested that we replastered the pool instead of doing the fiberglass and helped guide us to the right color choice and grout color. He also made a few minor repairs we didn't even know we needed bust to be helpful! We had to also change the color of the pool so he suggested we do plaster instead of fiberglass as it is more durable. I've never seen a more clean, efficient and professional crew. And I've worked in the industry with many subcontractors. Thank you so much, Scott! The Client is so so happy. read more

Good Fella Pools did an outstanding job. After our previous contractor left us with poorly built pool steps, we were under a lot of stress. Good Fella Pools completely fixed the problem and exceeded our expectations! Communication was easy, they worked efficiently, their pricing was very reasonable, and they left everything clean. Scott and his crew are by far the best option when it comes to your pool restoration and service needs. Scott came over to give a quote for pool resurfacing with mini pebble. Out of all 5 companies that came and provided me a quote, Scott was the most knowledgeable, pricing was very reasonable. Scheduling was a breeze from draining to demo, tiling and spraying the pebble. Scott was on top of everything constantly giving us an update and heads up on the whole process he will answer any questions you may have. Good fella crews were always courteous and respectful of the property. My new pool looks great couldn't be any happier. Would definitely recommend Good fella pools to friends and families. Scott was a referral from our pool guy. Met Scott on 8/13/26 so he can check for a possible leak. After checking a few with things with our pool, Scott stated that everything was in good working order with our vacuum system. He did state that the gears on the vacuum needed to be checked out. This guy was straight forward, honest and doubled checked everything. Definitely someone i would refer to other friends and families for their pool service. read more

The Good Fella team did an amazing job on our pool. Originally built in the 1950's, it was definitely showing it's age. Scott came in with an estimate below everyone else (without us giving him the other estimates), and our pool is now the focal point of our backyard! Micropebble, tile, coping, lighting, new vaccuum lines, and most importantly, bringing us up to current code. He even hooked us up with a contractor to do some paver work, and coordinated his schedule around theirs without ever a complaint. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Good Fella to friends, family, or the Yelp community! read more

We decided to have a heater added to our pool and did the due diligence and had 5 quotes done. Good Fella Pools impressed us with their knowledge and thoroughness. We were shocked that it was going to be necessary to run a dedicated gas line from the meter 150 feet away from the pool equipment...a trench 18" deep all the way. Scott explained everything so simply, even this little old lady understood. The project was completed in two days; the backyard was completely restored to its former glory, everything was spotlessly clean when Scott stopped by the next day to explain all the directions I needed to know. I would recommend Scott and his team to all my family and friends. Best of all not only did they finish on time they started a day early in time for my houseguests to be able to swim when they arrived. I know just who I'd call if anything ever went wrong with my pool in the future. THANK YOU SCOTT read more

Scott helped with converting our pool to saltwater. He was very informative and great at communicating what specific parts were needed. The conversion was fast. He also helped with debugging the Aqualink system that was over 25 years old. I would recommend him for any job as a pool contractor. read more

Man, I can't even express how amazing these guys are. Scott came originally and gave us a quote. We had a few different pool company's that came and we asked them all a bunch of questions about our project. Scott was by far the most knowledgeable person we spoke to. Told us exactly what we needed and what we didn't need. Once we agree'd to use Good Fella Pools, they immediately began the work. The back yard was immaculate at the end of each work day. They were extremely professional and guided us through the whole process. We started the project which was basically to demo the old pool and redo everything. I was expecting at least a month and half to do everything because it wasn't just a pool, we replaced all the plumbing, and all the equipment. They literally got it done in 3 weeks. Not only that, but Scott was always available for questions and is just an overall super nice guy. I would highly recommend him to anyone that asks. read more

He deserves a ZERO star. Scott is very dishonest, shady and extremely unprofessional. We've had the worst experience hiring him and we regret it so much. We hired him to fix our cracks, after draining the pool the first time around, the problem was NOT resolved. We were still losing so much water. He ended up charging us more than the original agreed amount to change parts that were clearly irrelevant because the problem was still not resolved after that. So after , he came back and drained our pool for the SECOND TIME!!! We ended up paying thousands in water bill and the problem was STILL NOT RESOLVED!!!!! He assured us that he'd pay for the portion of our water bill since he had to drain our pool twice! (For NO REASON!) He stopped responding to our messages once the time came to actually pay for the bill. This is after MONTHS of making stupid excuses why he doesn't have money to pay us for the water bill. (Does it get shadier than this?!) After MONTHS of back and forth, and after paying him THOUSANDS of dollars and THOUSANDS in water bill, THE CRACKS WERE NOT FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were still losing so much water. We had to hire someone else to do the job Scott promised and got paid to do ( the other person fixed the problem in less than 2 hours and charged us about 90% less than Scott did I must add). NOTHING BUT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY( I repeat, THOUSANDS!!!!!!!!!) STAY AWAY! read more

Worked with Scott to have Jorge replace my dead pool heater and they did great work in record time. 10/10 would work with them again.

My pool had an ever-worsening leak that became alarming when I opened my latest utility bill only to see our incredibly high water use. I got connected to Scott through another Pool Contractor so he could do leak detection. Scott arrived on time, as scheduled and charged me exactly what he quoted me over the phone which was on par with other quotes I received. Scott made quick work of my situation and diagnose my original copper return lines as the problem. I asked how he'd remedy the problem and he walked me through it. I then asked for a quote and an hour later I got the estimate. In asking around, I was able to see that his price was reasonable, if not even pretty good. I also asked him to get me a new pool light as mine had long since stopped working. He got me one at his cost and included the installation in his quote. Very fair terms. Honestly, I can't imagine what more anyone could possibly ask for. Scott and his team will be my go-to pool guys going forward. read more

October 6, 2023 I hired him for a pool leak. He never came on the first scheduled time as mentioned by the other reviewer. When he came he charged me higher amount than normal and I paid him but the leak started again and I have been trying to reach him forever now and he has blocked my phone number. I will not trust this person with anything. He is shady and unreliable. October 18th, 2023 He messaged me today from YELP and pretended that he does not know who I am and requested me to call him. When I called him, he immediately knew my name and then asked me over the phone to send him pics for the pool so that he can remember which pool /customer I am. As soon as I sent him the pics, he said, he remembers the pool and the job that he did and was adamant that he has not received my phone calls. I later sent him the screenshot of the call logs (attached), where it clearly shows that he blocked me as my calls were not going through for more than 4 to 5 seconds, it was going to VM each time. He then hung up the phone on me. read more

Had a small pool repair issue and needed to check for a leak first to confirm if that's where the trouble stemmed from. Was actually referred to Scott at Good Fella by another pool repair person since they didn't do leak testing. Scott answered the phone immediately. He discussed his process, which was very thorough and involved pressure testing the pipes, as well as dye testing any cracks. Pricing was in line with what I expected. He and an assistant were able to come out in a couple days, even arriving early, and went straight to work. Whole process took about 2 hours. Performed what I thought was above and beyond, since some pipes didn't give direct access, yet he tackled those with ease. He showed me what he was looking for and how his equipment worked. Fortunately there were no leaks. Also discussed some changes I wanted to make. The quote he gave for the equipment and labor was much better than I expected. And what a nice guy!! The company that built my pool seems to have gone out of business, so Scott will definitely be my first call for any pool needs. Side note: I read the reviews before locking him in. There was a single poor review, yet I looked at that person's profile and saw that he rated the majority of reviews poorly. Easy to discredit that reviewer. read more

The previous company that serviced my pool went out of business only a year later. They didn't offer any guarantees, which is typical for pool companies that often disappear after 3 to 5 years. When I looked for pool companies, I found that only a few had been in business for more than a decade. Fortunately, Scott - the owner of Good Fella's Pool - has been in business for over 14 years. When I first spoke to Scott, he said he'd need to inspect the pool to determine what needed to be done to fix the leaks. A few days later, he came and gave us an estimate for repairing the extensive leaks that the previous pool company had created. His estimate was very reasonable. Scott was always available to discuss the approach to ensure that the leaks would be properly patched. His crew has been with his company for several years, and they arrived last Monday to drain the pool. During the draining process, Scott's crew found additional leaks that were caused by the poor workmanship of the previous contractor. The next day, Scott was on site to oversee the installation of the rebar that was needed to close up the various cracks in the pool. He and his crew completed the job the following day. In my opinion, Scott's customer service and estimates prove that he's the best in the business. That's why he can provide a five-year guarantee if any leaks occur.I would be happy to help you with that.
