If you're looking to have someone take care of you at this location, look no further than Jan. This is not the first time that I have spoken to him and not the last. He is professional, accommodating and when he says he will take care of something he does. Unfortunately he is much better than the experience that I've had with the 800 service center for Leslie's. He's super cheerful and pays attention to detail. If I were his boss..... I'd give him a substantial raise because this type of customer service is hard to find. It seems that the #1 goal here is to sell products. If they fix the problem you don't come back so they seem to push problems. In the end the chemicals that they sold me at best made my water cloudy. I realized it was cheaper to drain the pool, eliminate all the silt that could not be absorbed and just use basic chlorine. Now with minimal effort our pool is as clear as it has ever been. Especially have your guard up when they sell products that don't work and try to tell you why it is your fault. Keep it simple don't buy the pitch. read more

I took over the maintenance duties for my Grandma's pool because the pool guys stopped coming. When I first came to leslie's pool supplies, I had a very green pool. Algee had bloomed and the CYA Acid was way off. With the help of Jan and Ruben, I was able to fix the problems and keep up on the maintenance, and now the pool is back to normal and better than ever. I have a pool spa and they are testing my water for free once a week for free. Very helpful. Ruben is amazing , very knowledgeable and nice.

They do not adhere to their posted hours. They close early, so a person can rush over there to grab a product and they're closed. When I showed up today, there was another potential client who had clocked their hours online and we BOTH showed up before the cut off and they were closed for business at 10 to 5 instead of closing at 5. Very frustrating, very unprofessional. I will not be coming back to the store. read more

Not pleased with the Burbank Leslie's pool location at all. Advice they give on chemicals needed is always completely different from other Leslie's stores I have been too. Also they come across a bit condescending when they talk to you about your pool and the supplies needed. read more

I avoid this store if I can because there is an employee who is extremely critical when sharing the pool testing results. I had to take the time to write this review because it wasn't just an employee having a bad day and likely based on other reviews this is the same person. I literally thought when I saw this employee oh goodness, I'm going to get scolded today. I travel around to the other Leslie's so I know there is other ways to deliver the news that you need to add more of this and that. No you should sit in the corner because you failed to do this. Pool chemicals are expense so definitely sign up for their rewards program and I try to only go when there is a coupon. read more

I am a fairly new homeowner. Hence, I am somewhat a novice when it comes to maintaining my pool. Jan took his time to explain my pool water results and suggested products to buy. A few days later, my own pool guy, retested my pool and informed me that I did not need one of the products I had purchased. I took it back to Leslie's and Yosef gave me store credit without any hassle. Their commitment to customer service is evident and highly appreciated. I walked into Leslie's Pool store and found the staff, in particular Jan, to be knowledgeable, helpful, and educational in learning to care for our investment. now several years later we have purchased a hot tub to go with the pool and once again Jan and his team were there to teach me what to do! It feels so good to support this local business, and I have only ever found the advice regarding pool/spa service and sales to be clear, concise, and accurate. I needed the Above Ground Pool Return Gasket Set Item No: 64610 for my pool since it leaked. When I was researching online where to buy this item, Leslies had a good price comparatively but their delivery date was 7 days out. I purchased on Feb 10 2023. The delivery date was Feb 17, ,2023 AND I still had to pick it up in the store in Burbank, CA. The home delivery option on their website wouldn't allow me to have them sent to my home. I would click the "Home delivery" option but when I went to pay for the product it kept saying "Pick up in Burbank". I did this 12 times over 2 days and it kept happening. Then, once I purchased the product, the delivery date jumped to Feb 21, 2023. Anyone who has an above ground pool knows you should not leave the pool without water in it because it ruins the liner. They of all businesses should know this and should be faster with those types of orders, especially such a small order as mine that could easily sent in an envelope to my home. So, here I am with very little water in my pool waiting for these gaskets over Presidents Day weekend which means no mail on Monday and I could have been fixing it on this long weekend. I was extremely surprised when I called the Leslie pool service/tech number today. In store experience has always been great. We never needed a pool service person before...Covid and the great disappearance of people you've known for decades changed that... At my request, I asked In store if they could recommend a business to service our pool. They gave me a number (hotline) and told me that they could not recommend a specific business, but I could call this number and I would be connected (with a service fee that would be applied to bill if we actually needed service). Great...I did that this morning and had the strangest most frustrating conversations with several ppl who could barely speak English (I've studied 5 languages and can usually make shit out). It was the most frustrating and quite frankly, ridiculous conversation I've had in years. I still don't know exactly what happened. I was told I could not get a service person to come and diagnose our pool bc I didn't know the exact make, model, year of all parts installed. I was told at store, for $125/135 we can get a service person out and then that bill will be applied to any repairs you contract Leslie to do. I spent the rest of the morning on apps like Angi and TaskRabbit and our issues were resolved in person. I'll never do the old lady thing and call for service appts again. I give 2 stars bc the in store experience has been good. Leslie, don't recommend a call center to save money. My experience was like going back in time to 2010 when this was the norm. It is not anymore. Hire a tech team and build an app and profile that doesn't lead to a call center, somewhere, anywhere. It's not necessary and this one morning was a perfect example cheap service that was the perfect hell for the 20-25 min I was on the phone. It was so bad, I thought it was a comedy sketch joke. Yes, I live in LA and this stuff happens. You're better than that. Your local stores prove that. read more

I've been buying my pool supplies at the store for the last 10 years Service was never the best but it was always just something chemicals for the pool... last summer I purchased a new pool vacuum it was almost $1000 they assured me that it was the best one and that they would be there if anything went wrong.. well it did ...it only work for a few months and I've been having issues with this vacuum ..I have taken several times and their response is there's only one person here there's no repair person we are short staffed and they tell me to just go to the Leslie's in North Hollywood I respond that I bought it here and that they assured me help If needed ...I wish they would've told me to buy it somewhere else when I was purchasing it and not taken my money meanwhile I'm having issues with my pool because of not having that vacuum ...I finally ended up taking it to a smaller pool service nearby (Discount Pool Mart) who were extremely helpful and kind they fixed my vacuum in a day ...I was so disappointed with how Leslies showed no care and wanted to pawn me off on another store....I will never purchase anything there again ... be WARNED if you purchase equipment there that might need repair one day you'll be sorry .....they are rude and uncaring towards your customers once you've have given them your money read more

I have been a longtime customer of Leslie's and appreciate their service. I recently purchased a float from another retailer and they were able to fill it up for me at no charge. I did not expect this and was willing to pay for the service but they value me as a customer and know I will return for other reasons. I was thrilled when they opened the Leslie pool supplies on 47 th st East in Palmdale. The manager Antoinette is fantastic and always goes out of her way to help the customers. It's always so busy and she never rushes a customer. She is always very pleasant and very knowledgeable. When I have issues with my equipment she takes the time to troubleshoot with me. We've been going around all over town trying to find pool games for our 4th of July party. I was referred to this location from one of the employees at Big 5. The employee who picked up the phone as very nice and helpful. We headed down there and sure enough they had everything we wanted and more (floating basketball net, divers games, pool calls and ph testers). Prices were great! Service was awesome!
