After 2 hours dealing with Verizon customer support, they cannot do anything for me, because they have NO RECORD of the return. This means Victra either A.) failed to complete the return with Verizon after I returned the device to them or B.) willfully kept the phone I returned without notifying Verizon of the return. In the first case, this would be massive incompetence, and in the second, outright fraud. Either way I'm out $477 because of it. I was very happy to have read the reviews on yelp that recommended this place and especially the…read moresales rep, Greg Briggs. I visited the store, and indeed, he was extremely helpful. AT&T still gave us much of it's usual runaround, however, Greg had the patience to follow through with all the steps that were needed. I just couldn't manage them on my own, especially because of the cognitive challenges that arise from having multiple sclerosis, as well as my natural luddite tendencies. He was able to complete all of my lost cell phone service needs, even if it took over 4 hours (and two days). This is the kind of service that will help to continue to keep me as an AT&T customer. I'm grateful there is a physical store with staff. AT&T gets 2 stars, Greg gets 5 stars.

Screen wouldn't come on at startup and the entire thing would just power down. Back then I took it to an Apple Store where a genius told me it was out of warrantee and there were no guarantees they could repair, and if they did it would probably be less expensive to just buy a new laptop. I decided to just use my smaller MacBook Air and put the broken MacBook in a box at home. Flash forward to 2025, I noticed Fix that Mac while in Concord and decided to dig out the old broken MacBook to bring in. Josh said he'd have a look and give me a call with what he found. A few days later I get a text from Josh that he figured out the problem with the screen (a known graphics card issue) and also I needed a new battery as my battery was dead from being unpowered so long. We also decided to upgrade the hard drive so performance could meet almost 2025 standards and be able to jump up a few operating systems. After quoting me his estimates for the time plus hardware (which were incredibly reasonable) I gave the go ahead and my laptop was ready in another couple of days for pickup. Is my boosted 2015 laptop a match for the current 2025 line of MacBooks? Of course not! But it's running as well as my MacBook Air now and it's a great backup should I need more processing juice.
