Short Review: Best place for window tinting ! Long Review: It was the middle of summer 2009 and the wife was insisting that we find a way to keep the car cooler in the sun. It was time to get some window tint! I'm the type of person that does a lot of research before making a decision (just ask my wife). I read through the reviews of local places here on Yelp and on other sites and started making a bunch of calls. My priorities were: 1) Price - I'm pretty price sensitive and looking for value 2) Company History - I've heard horror stories of people that get a good price, have problems, and go back to find that the place is out of business and gone without a trace! 3) Quality of Work & Materials - Obviously in addition to a good price I want good work done. After all my calling I found that most places prices were pretty much in the ballpark of each other. There were 3 that had the best prices so I focused a bit more on them (The Best Guys were obviously on that short list). In the end I went with The Best Guys. I browsed their website and called back for more info. Here is what sealed the deal: 1) Their price was lower than, or competitive with all the others. 2) They've been in business for about 25 years. 3) They guarantee their work, but even better, they use tint film from a company that guarantees the film won't bubble, peel, purple, etc! I was a little concerned when I drove up and saw that their place was smaller than I expected, but turns out that it's a good thing because they keep their overhead low to pass the savings to the customers. Talk about down to earth people!! This is an amazingly cool family business who knows how to take care of it's customers. Couldn't be any happier with my decision to have these guys do the work on my 350z. Doug, Dave, and Bryan thanks for being patient with me all those times I'd come in and just ask questions and get quotes here and there. I finally mustered up enough courage to drop some money on a few things they offered and i could not be any happier with my decision. These people have been in business over 25-26 years!!! So they definitely know what they are doing. As far as Doug and Bryan they are very informative and wont try to snake you by up-selling a bunch of things. You tell them what you want and they can make it happen. Dave the owner kindly welcomes customers, as for it he gave me the whole rundown on his philosophy of the company and believe these guys know how to run a business. Support your local business. I just recently purchased a 2006 is 250 from Lexus of Concord. I was reffered by the dealership to have my window tinting done here. I called them and they explained the process of having the windows tinted and I was in the next day. When I arrived the sales person was very helpfull in helping me decide on the shades of tint I was going to have put on my car. He did something on the computer that brought up an exact replica of my 2006 is 250 on the screen (including the same paint and rims) and it displayed the different shades of tint and what they would look like on my veichle. After deciding on the tint the process took about 1 1/2 hours and my car was ready. The gentlemen that was tinting the car took the time to come out and talk to me about the drying process and warranty information (Which is a lifetime warranty) then I was on my way. I was referred to the Best guys by a friend and I am glad I was. I got a navigation with all the extras, like bluetooth. Works great. I just used the navigation to time my self to make sure I wasn't going to be late. It tells me the time I will arrive and changes as I hit traffic. LOVE IT. I have gotten a ticket for talking on my phone and now I don't have to worry about trying to hide my phone when I see a cop. I am not the tech savy so when I first got in my car I was a little overwhelemed with the manual and how to work it, but Bryan sat with me and went over the whole thing. I might not remember everything but I am trying. I also got my Windows tinted. I think it is really neat they offer a lifetime warranty on that. I felt like I got new car. Looks AMAZING. All in all they did great on my windows and Navigation. If and when I ever get a new car I will be back and I will also refer others here. read more

The Best guys went beyond good customer service to take care of me and my car stereo problem. My subwoofer amplifier had been installed by a now out of business retailer and had a faulty power on off connection. The Best Guys had installed a very good Kenwood unit in my dash a year and a half ago that I have been very happy with. The on off connection got progressively worse until it no longer switched the amp on. The technician at The Best Guys very expertly fixed their problem, and though he didn't have to, did it at no charge. I would recommend The Best Guys to any one that wants a shop that will be there to take excellent care of them and provide outstanding customer service. I have a 2010 Camaro and she is only 3 months old and I don't like letting her out of my sight and was nervous the first time I left my car at their shop for my tinting. Not only did they do an excellent tint job but they treated my car with kid gloves. When it was time to upgrade my audio components I didn't hesitate to stop by and ask their advice. I got my tint here because of the yelper and was I impress! Dave, Doug, Jim, Charlie, and one more guys are like a family and they treat you like a family. Took about 2-3 hours to get my tint done the frist time then I change my my mind and wanted the windows a little darker so they change that and fix any problems with your tint if their is one. Dave and Jim recommended some places to eat across the street Min's kitchen where they serve Breakfast, and Pharma deli Sandwich. When i came back my car look sexy and now is protected from the Sun. Doug and his crew have installed stereos, speakers, amps in 5 of my vehicles and one boat. They have also tinted the windows in all of them. Today I went into their shop because I kicked the base knob under my dash, after two years, and broke it. I met with Doug, and after some small talk and pleasantries, regarding our business relationship, Doug took my car to the back of the shop. About 20 minutes later, he was done installing a new knob. They quoted me a price over the phone for window tinting on y vehicle, and when i got down there they pulled the old bait and switch and told me they had to charge me more $$$$ 65% more. Cars. Trucks. SUVs. Boats. Motorcycles. Million dollar collectible cars to party busses and exotics. An honorable mention goes to Dan and mark (my technician). Dan was super professional and did his best to get my Harley street glide in and out before our annual memorial ride which was huge. Mark went through my entire system and found wiring issues that I didn't even know existed behind the fairing. Initially I went in for a battery drain issue. The bikes battery would be completely dead within a few minutes of coming off the charger. I took it to the local Harley Davidson dealer, thinking there was an internal issue or a faulty battery however, they would not touch it due to aftermarket parts, such as the stereo, head unit, amp, and speakers even though they all came from Crutchfield with the proper wiring, harnesses, etc. Harley as well as another local and very reputable stereo shop both turned me on to Dan at Walnut Creek Customs and I honestly won't go anywhere else ever again. I'm already in talks to upgrade my next bike when I purchase a road glide. Their prices are very competitive with other local shops but their attention to detail, honesty, and straight shooting advice is worth every penny! These guys are not here to nickel and dime you- they are here to offer you options that work for your budget and get you in and out and back on the road enjoying your ride to the fullest. I could tell just from speaking to Dan and Mark that they had my best interest at heart so I basically told them a budget number and let them run with it It turned out I didn't have a bad ground in my stereo, but my entire head unit was bad after 10+ years of being exposed to the elements and vibrating itself to pieces internally. They hooked me up with the new top of the line Rockford Fosgate single din stereo meant specifically for my generation of Harley Davidson They also found two additional bad grounds near the battery, as well as a battery tender which was never hooked back up by the previous shop who replaced it Speaking of shops, you can tell a lot about a company by first impressions, and their shop is meticulously maintained, organized and clean. You could (almost) eat off of the floor, and that says a lot when it comes to getting your vehicle back without missing clips and pins or loose parts, etc.. After burning through two standard batteries, and now being on my second lithium-ion, I was grateful that they found the issues. Once they have the faring opened up, they found a rats nest of wiring that could create additional problems as well as interference from not being routed properly After getting all the wiring hooked up, repairing the battery issues and installing the new head unit they even took the extra time to add a USB plug into one of my blank spaces on the front fairing, so I no longer have to connect via Bluetooth. I can connect directly to my stereo, charge my phone, take calls and play music plus it looks very professional as if it was done from the factory. As a bonus, they also re-tuned my amplifier for optimum sound, and installed some acoustical cones behind my stereo speakers for deeper bass, and better range. I'm not sure what else they did but the bike definitely looked a lot cleaner when I got it back as well. Truly, grateful to have found a solid company, such as a Walnut, Creek, Customs, and again a special shout out to Dan for accommodating my schedule even though I missed an appointment and Mark for all of his hard work and dedication to making things right I also run two small businesses, both of which are five star rating on yelp so I can tell you for certain that they have earned their five star reputation!

This is an addendum to my review posted on 5/30…read more The reason for this update is that the owner, Demi, personally reached out to me after reading my original review. The first thing he did was thank me for sharing my experience. Although the review was not positive, he took the time to listen to my concerns, apologize, and explain how he wanted to make things right. Demi told me that whether I chose to use his shop or not, I was still a customer, and customer service is the foundation of his business. He acknowledged that my experience did not reflect the standards he expects from his team and assured me that he wanted the opportunity to demonstrate the level of service his shop is known for. Based on our conversation, I scheduled an appointment for this Saturday and had the windows on my 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser tinted. I am pleased to say that his staff turned his words into action. From start to finish, the experience was professional, courteous, and exactly what I had hoped for. The vehicle looks fantastic, and I am extremely happy with the results. What started as a so-so situation was transformed into a very positive experience because Demi took the initiative to personally address my concerns and ensure they were resolved.
