Guy inside is incredibly rude. I parked my car outside the shop for a couple hours, and when I went to leave, the employee told me he was gonna tow me. That's fine, if I'm parked where I shouldn't be then you should tow me- that's my bad. However, he started saying he was gonna pop all my tires and break my windows?? Tony is the man. I had a dash light that came on. Called a bunch of businesses and everyone said "can't do it; too tricky." Finally called Tony. He said, "Let me see what I can do." I have been dealing with GM for at least 10 years. And never had anything bad to say about service or installation or components. I bought a brand new Lexus Is 350 New years day 2025. First thing i did was take it to GMs to get a whole new system. Door speakers amps sub. Was quoted $1500. System worked for a couple months then the problems started. Sub kicking on and off. Dash speakers screaming. Door speakers kicking on and off. Brought it back. Jerry said my factory dash speakers are going out and this is causing the problem. Replace them with Kickers $250. Fine i can do that. NOPE that's not it. Brought it back again they replaced the dash speakers again saying they where bad. No charge to me, Great! But No same problem happening and getting worse, Cutting in and out. Brought it back again and spoke with Bashier. He looked at it right a way. Said. My sub was blown, smell it! and need a bigger amp this was to small for this set up. $450 up grade for kicker 12in sub box and 1000w Hifonics amp. Ok fix it. NOPE next day shit. Came back again and talked with the installers. They said i don't know. I said do i have to go some where els to find and fix this problem. Told them please have Owner call me. they said they would. He did not. I did go some where els. And this is what they said. Factory Amp has 8 Cannels. They cut out 3 of them. Door speaker Amp was 4 channel, needed to be at least 6 channel. My front door speakers, Factory came 8in midds , They changed to 6in 2 ways with a 6x9 adaptor plate that did not fit. The back seat speakers where held in by one screw each. They said GM was in over their head and was not able to perform an upgrade like this in my car, this set up will never of worked. This cost me another $3300. the only thing i keep was the sub and amp. Everything that was changed was of high quality! 25 Lexus standards. The company i had this work done said " if you want to do it right this is how to do it" And so far so good. They got it dialed in and i am very happy!. BUT i cant totally enjoy because I'm still waiting for this one to fail like the last times. GM put such a bad taste in my mouth over this whole night mare that i have trouble excepting this is as good as it will be, witch is pretty dame good. Im not mad at you Bashier just disappointed and let down on my music that i love so much. When i think of GM, I think about the Chucky Cheese across the street. If you got a beater take it to them. If you have a pride and joy Pay the extra. I Did give Jerry at GM one last chance to make this right. By taking back all my door speakers and sub standard amp for $750 refund. Brought an amp and sub to be hooked up, they installed everything but when I was called to come pick it up they installed a new dash screen because my old one I guess wouldn't work. They did this a couple times where they install something without you giving them consent and then charge you later for it at a high price. But what can you do they already installed it. Took my car back because the back up cam wasn't working and same with the hand controls on the steering wheel. They said it's because of my wrangler that they can't connect the hand controls or the back up cam. I called another shop and they said it will Be no problem to connect my hand controls and back up cam. Overall a bad customer experience and a lot more money than was originally estimated. I own a local small business and it's disappointing to see another local small business run like this. Unfortunately I can not recommend this place after I felt they took me for a ride with getting a simple amp and sub installed. Do not get an alarm installed here unless you want to have endless problems with it. I came here and we had a viper alarm installed on our car. Guy was cool whatever. Paid for it took home with in a week started having problems alarm was going on when we unlocked the doors, doors wouldn't lock kept saying trunk was open when it wasn't and wouldn't let us lock it. So within a week we take it back guy claims it was a software issue and that he updated it.. why wouldn't you do that in the first place. But obviously not the issue get the car home keep having same problem I will hit the unlock button doors won't unlock can be sitting in the car when it is unlocked and the alarm will randomly go off then remote won't shut it off. Took it back again another week mind you had the alarm two weeks and continuously having problems. Take it back guy says it's working fine have videos of how it's not working fine. Took it back a 3rd time and had the technician tell me and my boyfriend it's us and we don't know how to use it!! Umm what you hit the unlock button and wait for it to unlock claims the trunk is open when it's not how is that our fault? Shitty work and bad attitude by the people who work there. Also left a huge ass mess in the car after installation because they left cut wiring and all kinds of crap on the floor board of our car. Clearly they refuse to fix the issue because we have taken the car in 3 times to get the alarm fixed and it still doesn't work right I don't think they even check because every single time I have taken it it's been in the exact spot I parked it when I go back to get it. Service is crap here go some where they claim life time warranty yet don't do shit I'm getting a lawyer to take them to court because they are scam arrest and will without a doubt rip you off we tried to dispute the charge with my bank but they claim services were rendered yes shitty service with shitty product that they don't repair I should have listened to the other reviews so I wouldn't get ripped off also!! One of my biggest mistakes to use this place for my new car tinting windows, I work close by the store, so I thought will be easy just drop off the car and pick up after I finish my work, after I pick up the car, I find out the window have scratches, so I let the manager know, he is ok to fix that , so I bring back they fix the window, but still have scratches, I pick the car and try to change the mirror, my mirror is not working properly anymore, they I drive back right the way, then I find out the open the door panel, and didn't connect back, after they guy fix , then I found out they make a lot of scratches by the door handle, and the door panel have gap now. Because I'm a woman, I feel like I was taken advantage of regarding pricing. Bought a Boss stereo and 4 speakers and including labor way over $500. WARNING: IF YOU LEAVE A BAD REVIEW, THE OWNER OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT WILL TRY TO FABRICATE LIES TO MAKE THEM SEEM LIKE YOU'RE THE BAD GUY. Please read my review if you don't want to end up spending more money than you started! Avoid this establishment at all costs! I first end up here in the summer of 2019 to get two 6x9 door speakers, three 3.5 dash speakers, & dynamat installed in the front doors. At the time I only wanted slightly better sound for my 2015 Toyota Avalon so I insisted on installing new components for a temporary fix. I recall the job taking about 8 hours! After I received my car, there was debris everywhere, boxes and packages from the speakers and dynamat were thrown in the back seat, and there were new scratches on my dash board! They were closing up when I arrived to pick up my car so of course I can't come back into the shop to complain because the stereo sounded worse than stock! There was a broken trim near the drivers side door handle and also the installed screwed in the door panel incorrectly, leaving a 1/4 inch gap on the door! It was rattling too! The dash speakers sounded so horrible so I just looked up on YouTube and replaced them myself. The 6x9 door speakers were fine and the dynamat was present. I did not complain whatsoever because the African American guy who was working at the front was very nice to me. I don't know if he still works there but he was the reason why I still had hope in this company. FAST FORWARD TO 2020: I have an urge to install a new amp for my car because I drive it long distances so the stereo needs to be decent! So I come back to GM Electronics and was greeted by Hanif who is apparently the owner's brother? He was being a decent human to me (BEFORE SHIT WENT HAYWIRE.) mind you this encounter was in July of 2020 and he was NOT wearing a mask! In fact, none of his employees or even the customers were wearing them! The shop is tiny so it isn't possible to socially distance whatsoever. I should have left then & there but since I wanted to save a few hundred dollars on an amp install, the frugal side of me stayed. The cashier quoted me $650.00 to install an AudioControl LC.4.800 4 channel sound processing amp on my Avalon and I loved the quoted price so of course I agreed to the install. He booked me for the next day after in the morning. The next morning I arrive right when they open, I tried to open the door and this guy behind the counter yells at me to wait outside due to the virus even though there were not any customers inside.. the icing on the cake was that HE WASN'T WEARING A MASK! I did not get his name but he was probably a relative of the owner. He was a cross-eyed hypocrite. Keep in mind I am a polite individual! Dude couldn't even say a "good morning" back to me After agreeing to the quoted price of $650.00, I left my keys to them to install the amp. Estimated time of completion was 2:00pm & they kept calling me to tell me that my car was apparently a pain in the ass to wire so they take an additional FIVE hours.. 7pm or so the owner BASHIER calls me to say the car is ready for pick-up and upon arrival I see my car is in the front.. Nice! Bashier was being nice to me at the time of pick-up and he was explaining how the wiring took a little longer than expected so he end up charging me $700.00 on the final bill. He never gave me an actual work order or an itemized receipt! Shady, Shady, Shady! I figured the car might be a bit more complicated to wire so I was okay with the $50.00 dollar upcharge and I paid for the bill. Keep in mind this is a Toyota! Not a Mercedes-Benz so how could the wiring be so complicated that your half brained installers have trouble installing it? After the bill was paid, I asked Bashier to help demonstrate the new amp for me so that I can configure it myself if needed. He gladly show me the dials and switches which is great! Everything has been going okay until he turns on my stereo. Oh my god what have they done??!! IT SOUNDS EVEN WORSE THAN STOCK! They installed an AudioControl LC.4.800 which is supposed to have a DSP built-in to correct the sound coming from the factory head unit. The sound was all concentrated to the 3.5 inch dashboard mounted speakers including low-end bass! You can't do that! He convinces me that it sounds great but that is BULLSHIT. The shop was closing up so then Bashier told me that I can manually adjust the amp whenever I get home to get better sound. I couldn't even listen to my own stereo because they were improperly wired. I am not an audio expert but I knew from the second that amp was installed, that it was a total wiring nightmare. This is where you'll read about the quality of GM ELECTRONICS finest work. First of all, I get home and I notice that the drivers side rear door isn't opening correctly. Blown away! That's the best way to describe my experrience after meeting Bashier. He listened to the sound in my vehicle and said to me, "It sounds good...we can make it better"! He adjusted the levels on my current stereo set up, added a subwoofer to match the existing one in my trunk, and upgraded an amp to handle the new load. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. He suggested that I find some aftermarket kick panels that he would install. Since I could'nt locate a set his team made a custom pair for my vehicle. This is the guy you want working on your vehicle! I trusted Bashier with everything and was very, very, pleased. My only regret is that the car sounds so good, I may not have to come back. He is someone you want to be around and I met a lot of his returning customers during my time in the shop. I may just come by to sweep up the shop so I can be around his positive energy. read more

***CONTINUED REVIEW Here's what GM ELECTRONICS fucked up on such a simple job: * The amp was directly installed on the ceiling of my trunk which is improper because it causes excessive heat which eventually ruins an amp. The 100 degree weather in Walnut Creek isn't helping either! * My front 3.5 inch dash speakers are not meant for lower frequencies. That's what the 6x9's in the doors are meant for. They crossed-over the dash speakers as if they're subwoofers too. This caused distortion and popping noises on my JBL CLUB 3020's. * They wired the two dashboard speakers to the front channel input on my amp but forgot to wire the 6x9 low end door speakers in the front. This rookie mistake resulted in NO SOUND coming from the front door speakers and booming bass coming out of tiny tweeters. There is no way to configure this. * They bridged the rear deck 6x9 speakers with the rear door tweeters and ran it through the rear 3/4 channels on the amp. I never asked for a rear soundstage and instead of powering the front door speakers, they prioritized the rear speakers! What the fuck? * They screwed into the rear deck to ground the amp without consideration of other existing wiring that may be present. * On my prior installation, I had them installed dynamat for the doors. They only did the bare minimum. This explains why the door still rattles. I supplied them with more than enough dynamat and they only installed about %20 of it! They kept the rest! * One of the installers opened a hidden compartment of my trunk and STOLE my portable battery jump starter. I didn't find out until I had to help a stranded woman jump start her car but unfortunately it was stolen. * My amp blew out. That's right. ONE WEEK AFTER THE INSTALLATION. 100% Bashier's fault. He denied responsibility because of his own ignorance. (Story below) 6 days in, I try my best to configure the amp to work for me but it still sounds horrible and the front door speakers did not work. I called GM Electronics and Bashier picked up the phone. I explained my situation on how the wiring may not be correct and he assured me that he can help. I told him I'm not getting any sound from the front door speakers and that the front dashboard speakers are over-powered with distorting bass. Bashier instructed me over the phone to configure the amp by setting the low/high pass filter directly in the middle. Keep in mind this filter switch only sets to one or the other - you CAN'T set the switch in the middle because this unit was never designed for that! Bashier assured me once more to use this setting and of course I thanked him for his help. Seconds later I turn on the power for the car and.... BAM.. SURPRISE! My amp let out an ear piercing siren noise and there is black smoke coming from the rear deck. My car & garage smelled like burnt plastic. I couldn't believe what was happening so i had to disconnect the battery and amp while it was smoking like crazy. If i didn't have a 10mm socket nearby to disconnect the battery then the amp would've caught on fire and burn down my house. At this point I was pissed off but I kept my cool when I called back Bashier. Oh to my surprise he realized that he fucked up and gave me the wrong information so he did not pick up my repeated phone calls until I dialed his personal cell phone number to which he answered the phone! Wow! I explain my situation to Bashier and told him the amp might have konked out since it was smoking and before I can even finish my sentence, he blatantly yells "YOU VOIDED YOUR WARRANTY, I DO NOT HONOR ANY WARRANTIES WHEN A CUSTOMER TOUCHES OUR WORK." Well he told me over the phone to change those settings. So he's saying that if you try to configure your amp then the whole warranty is voided? Where is this written down? TOTAL BULLSHIT from a cheap & sleazy owner. I called back to tell him to please take a look at my amp as soon as possible but his next available appointment was a week out. What kind of treatment is this? You cannot assure a customer to change a setting on their amp and when it blows because of your suggestion, you BLAME the customer for breaking it. I am now stuck with a broken $500.00 dollar amp and fried wiring. I took my car to another audio shop and was quoted over $800 to FIX MY CAR (excluding the broken door trim) due to the ignorant owner and installers of GM Electronics. Yes, if you take your car here, you'll end up paying more money in repairs than if you were to just go to a higher end audio shop with LICENSED installers. I am very sorry for all who've been financially impacted from this place. They prey on the poor and make thousands a day while under-paying their undocumented installers - hence why my labor charge was under $200.00. I will not return to this establishment or contact any persons of GM Electronics to avoid possible retaliation from the business owner & his employees. read more

I wanted to this facility to discuss some work that I wanted to have done to my vehicle. The person that I spoke to was really not familiar with his products he was selling and I didn't like the look of the place. There was a real disarray in the installation area and it didn't seem like the installers really knew what they were doing. Tools all over the ground, generally the shop was in a very messy condition. Normally I go to Custom Car Alarms. They are not cheap, but I know that the work is done flawlessly. They've been there for almost 30 years. I think I'm going to pay a bit extra and make sure that it's done right and have Custom do it read more

I talked to the installation department and they said they didn't need that part to install the alarm and would not credit me, the money that they charged me for the component. I initially went here for a subwoofer and an alarm. I was satisfied with the service and installation. Then about a month or 2 later, my stock door speakers went out. I went back to get them replaced, and also bought a pair of 6x9s, as well as a new deck. The next day, I noticed that my Bluetooth wasn't working properly. The sound was only coming through the subwoofer. Also, I couldn't hear anything coming from the 2 new door speakers. After a few weeks of calling, I dropped in to get it fixed. The problem is the communication! The guy who helped me was so focused on defending the problem instead of fixing the problem! First he tried to adjust my settings on the deck. Then he said I had to turn up the volume and bend down to hear it! Then he said I probably needed a 4 channel amp! Bottom line, my stock speakers worked perfectly before they replaced them, as well as the Bluetooth. As of now, the door speakers STILL don't work but the Bluetooth works now. read more

Man. What can I say? They have some really good deals but service has gone downhill. I went in to see about getting an alarm installed. Owner (or manager not sure because he's been there forever) showed me what he had and I ended up placing a deposit. It was a viper alarm and the total was 645 with installation. Yeah, we will talk about the price in a little bit. Since I've purchased things Aron them before I felt confident it would be installed correctly and on time. I said I would be back the following week since they possibly needed a harness to install. I said ok. Sooooo come Tuesday I drop off my car and here's the thing. I am a realtor and pretty busy. I paid the remaining amount and called an Uber and was told I would get a call when ready (I dropped it off around 10:20) I also asked about possible window tinting while my car is there. The guy was a dick "if we can we will do it. If not. We won't" ummm what? 3pm rolls around and I decide to get an Uber back. When I get there I walk in and ask if my Lexus was ready. The dude looked confused and said "you didn't get a call? The part is in back order until next week" I said. I received no call. The original person just laughed and said "oh hahhaa I totally forgot to call him" dude seriously??? What the fuck. How is this funny?? I could've been showing clients homes and worked in my business. Needless to say. I was irritated. Oh but the good thing is the guy tried to sell me a window tint service because now they had time? Yeah no thanks. So I decided to wait for the part. I came in the next week. Said they still didn't get the part. Why no call?? The following week I came in and same story. Worst service ever. Got my radio replaced, but they broke the backup camera and never fixed it. I returned 3 times for them to repair it and each time they couldn't get it to work and was told to return in a few weeks for a part they claim to have ordered.
