I called asking for help to buy a deck to work with my k40 radar and asked if they can help me, they said they don't sell k40 and that was that.... not I can find out and I was even telling him I knew what worked and how to hook it up but all he kept repeating was they don't sell k40. my budget was $2,400 for new head unit and amp and component set x2 guess they don't want my money! Next day....Just went to stereo max in hayward ended up dropping $5k they also said they know nothing about k40 but guess what....... they said we will make sure we get you taken care of! My daughter's 2013 Camry Hybrid had a head unit with a screen that was all but unreadable in sunlight. I considered it a safety issue in general, but especially for the backup camera. Hybrids are a particular PITA for the average owner to work on for a replacement, so I sought out a place that wouldn't break a sweat installing a replacement. After looking around on Yelp I chose Concord Car Stereo, who I knew had been around a while because I used to have my Acura serviced at Mekatron next door. So I went to check them out and immediately realized I had come to the right place. Mike had a JVC unit with wireless CarPlay on sale, which is just what I was looking for. (BTW, I later checked his price vs Amazon and it was exactly the same, so don't worry about that.) I was quoted three hours to install and it was done in two! Easy peasy if you've been doing it for decades. I was amazed that they even had a replacement bezel, so it looked like it was factory installed. I looked up a few places to get my Tesla Model 3 tinted. I walked into several shops, asked about the quality film used, ceramic vs. crystalline, their workmanship, experience on Tesla Vehicles. Most places told me that they need the car a full day or more to ensure that the job is done perfectly. They took their time explaining the process in detail. At Concord Car Stereo, Mike told me that they are a certified 3M install center, that they have received a highly sought after accreditation from 3M that most shops don't have because they aren't able to do as good of a job. He also said that they can get it done in 3-4 hours and that crystalline is my only option. They gave me the most expensive quote of all places I had received quotes from. The quote was for $1000 and it wouldn't include the windshield or the moon roof. Pretty expensive, but also interesting how it came to such a round number after tax!! I decided to go with them since they claimed to be the best and use the best film on the market. My only ask was to do a clean job and also to leave the 3M watermark on the film so that I ensure that an authentic film was used. When they called me to pick up the vehicle, they claimed that they had accidentally removed all 3M watermarks. They said that instead they will spray some water on the car so I can see how the droplets of water will turn red. I could not see such a thing. Then they spent about an hour showing me install footages from the camera. I could see that the job was done, but there was no way to tell which film was actually used. The general attitude was that I'm being picky and that no other client has ever asked for such a thing. The following morning, I discovered the flaws that you see in the attached pictures. I took the car in and they spent some time fixing them. It's better now, but they repeated several times that I cannot expect the job to be perfect. I feel that for the quality of work, lack of quality control after the job was done, and lack of the ability to follow simple instructions from me, they don't stand up to the level of quality that they claimed they have to have to get accredited. I feel that their quote was too expensive. If I need to tint another car, I would select a different shop. read more

I requested a quote for my Hyundai Sonata via Yelp on May 12th and heard back from Mike the very same day: 3M tint for all side and rear windows is $250 for FX, $325 for Color Stable and $750 for Crystalline - the windshield is only available in Crystalline for $450. I wasn't really sure what various shades would look like through pictures online so I stopped in on Thursday, May 17th and they have swatches on the wall to the left right when you walk in. I was going to go with the Color Stable, but after Mike allowed me to get a sense of what the Crystalline could do (he has a lamp that he then covers with different glass panes coated in the various tints), I decided to go with the Crystalline all around. Aware of the legal requirements, I did a 70 windshield and front windows, but the rear windows were 20. The earliest appointment was for that Saturday, May 19th from 12 noon to 6 pm. They close at 6 pm on Saturdays, but assured me that they wouldn't close up shop until I got my car back. My car was ready at 6 pm, I paid and then the person at the register told me not to roll my windows down or wash my car for at least 2 days (the sticker placed inside my car notes 3-5 days, though). Lastly, he explained that I'd be receiving my warranty via email from 3M within the next week or so. Today is Tuesday, May 22nd and I just received my warranties and have just loved the tint (look and feel). Huge thanks to the Concord team for a quick, quality job. read more

I checked about 5 shops and all of them were packed, giving me about a week of wait until the next opening (bummer). I was passing by Concord Car Stereo and Tint and I decided to stop by to check prices and availability. I talked to Mike and he explained me the different type of tints and their products. Once I decided the product I wanted for my car I asked him his availability and for my surprise he said he can squeeze me in their full schedule for Saturday. I was quoted 4 thousand dollars for my broncos sound and lighting .... Everyone shared with me there's better. An additional 850 for my under glow it better be brite and dope!!! Go with your gut with this audio shop. I came to pick up my vehicle they had no problem charging me $800 for the insulation without being able operate the underglow they installed. I absolutely do not recommend this company, when I told my family and friends that I went to this company they questioned as to why. Now I see why. The quality of the tint is subpar by far. On my way home I noticed burn marks in my roof and side panels. I instantly called the company back and scheduled an appointment with the owner to go back the next day. After meeting with the owner he declined everything and said that it wasn't them. Prior to dropping my car off none of these marks were there. He refused to refund or compensate in anyway. The negligence of this business is horrendous. He tried to claim that myself or somebody else smoked a cigarette in the car and put the burn marks there. Such awful management skills and horrible employees. Thankfully I was able to make a claim with the Better Business Bureau, my bank and let social media know NOT to use them. Please go else where!!! @ Mike : I understand I purchased the vehicle used, however when I purchased the vehicle it was certified and in excellent condition. I would have recognized the burn marks. Like I told you in person, the most obvious burn mark was at eye level. Which I would have noticed immediately. I reached out to you as a business owner to solve the problem on a lower level. I disregarded the other marks, and acknowledged they may have been there prior to drop off. However, the main burn mark above my head at my drivers side door was not. I gave you the opportunity to fix the problem. You refused to, and instantly became defensive and argumentative. You left me no other option than to warn the public of your unprofessional business and behavior. I mean no harm, nor disrespect however I do except as a consumer for you to take full responsibility for your employees' actions and correct less than satisfiable behavior.
