It seems that my whole world it controlled by batteries. Smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, clocks, cell phones, the sensors on the alarm system, and even the channel changer all went out around the same time. These all take different size batteries and I don't have a stash to change all of them. Even if had replacements, I could not get the batteries out. Batteries Plus to the rescue. I climbed up to tear them off the wall. I wrapped them up to muffler the chirping and took them to this store. They easily took the batteries out, replaced them and I was on my way home. read more

So I had took them my iPhone 13 Pro Max back in August of last year to get my screen repaired , mind you my camera was perfectly fine only the screen needed to be fixed and when I got my phone back my camera wasn't the same anymore . I went back to complain about it to then they were claiming that they didn't touch my camera at all and noooow turns out that my phone screen broke again and I took it to the batteries plus in Vacaville and they just confirmed to me that the batteries plus in Pleasant Hill did indeed replaced my camera with out my consent and lied about it !! Also too they didn't report to iPhone about them changing my screen so they for sure STOLE MY APPLE CAMERA AND COMMITTED FRAUD !!! Please please please I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DO NOT GO TO THE BATTERIES PLUS IN PLEASANT HILL ! Go to the batteries plus in Vacaville because they are more trust worthy and will be honest about everything!!! I purchased an AGM battery for my Trailblazer 2 years ago and still had 1 year left on the warranty. For the last two weeks the battery was not holding a charge. I called the office and Tom told me to bring in the battery for a check.. He did not say what the check was or how long it was. I drove my Trailblazer to Pleasant Hill from Vallejo to have it checked. The person at the counter said he could check the battery. What surprised me when we went out to my vehicle was that he opened up the top of the Fuse Box looking for the Battery when the connections for battery were 2 inches in front of the fust box and he didn't see them. I pointed to the battery so he could check it. He checked the battery and found it was reading at 11.6 volts. I told him I charged on my Battery Charger at home yesterday afternoon about 4 -5 hours. I also told him it showed 12.2 volts this morning before I started it up to drive to Pleasant Hill and here it is under 12 volts again. He said he would have to pull out the battery, charge on their charger and determine if there's a problem and that it would take about 2 hours. I told him I wasn't told that they were going to have to charge it there and that I had another appointment somewhere else and I could just leave the battery. I told him I thought that was Bull S__T and I would just go find a battery somewhere else. I did not have or schedule the time to be stranded there while he charged my battery. It turns out I was able to find a Name brand battery somewhere else a good price. I can honestly say I will never do business with this Batteries Plus location again and cannot honestly suggest them to anyone should they ask. Tom should have been more specific about what they were going to need to do to check my battery and how much time it would take, and the counterperson should have been more aware of where the battery was by looking at the battery cables when I pointed to the area in the engine compartment that the battery was in. read more

Came in to have our company phone fixed as instructed by the Samsung customer service. Let me give you a little background of what's wrong with the Samsung Galaxy S22+. We bought this phone for our coworker and she now no longer with the company. Before she left the company, she forgot to factory reset the phone. So, when we got it back, we factory reset it but it still required the PIN to unlock the screen or the email account that used to associate with the phone. So, we called T-Mobile and they couldn't do nothing and direct us to Samusung. When we call Samsung, since we don't have the PIN or email account, the only option is to go the one of the authorized dealer. So, we went to Batteries Bulbs in Concord. This manager refused to give out his name. But when I was there the first time, he already has the kind of attitude like he does not want to serve us. He kept saying he needs the original purchase receipt of the Samsung Galaxy s22+. We don't have it since it's from Sept 2022. So, we went to t-mobile in Sun Valley Mall to get help. They said they can't print anything and I had to call customer service. When I call T-Mobile customer service this time, I asked them to contact Samsung just to make sure T-Mobile understand exactly what Samsung is looking for so I can give it to Batteries Plus so they can proceed. This time we went to Batteries Plus with exactly what he needs and he said no I don't want to do it. I asked for his name and he refused. This is not acceptable because we are here trying to work with you and see what you want from us in order for you to proceed but you just kept on turning it down. I really like this place but I bought a pack of (approx) 24 AAA batteries off the shelf and put two in my remote and the next day they were burned out and I replaced the two again. I had to do this everyday until I went through the entire box. Everyone of them lasted only one day. And I only watch tv about an hour a day. Will never set foot in this place again. In 2023, we bought two Duracell 12V batteries (total outlay: $500) for 2 different cars we own. After 5 months one of the batteries went completely dead despite the fact that it was on a trickle charger the entire time. We put it on a 10amp overnight charge and it was still dead. We called Batteries Plus about their "warranty" and were told the battery had to be tested in house by them before it could be replaced. When we brought it in, I told the owner that under no circumstances did I want this same defective battery returned to me, regardless of how it tested. Three hours later the store manager informed me that it tested "good" and did not need replacement. When we asked the owner why our 10amp charge had failed, he gave no coherent answer. He then told me that if I decided not to take the old battery back, he would provide a new one which would carry no warranty whatsoever. He told us that some system within the car must have drained the battery. He went on to suggest our battery charger was at fault for not bringing any charge to his battery overnight. Then he said our trickle charger was faulty for not maintaining the charge. He blamed everything, but never considered the possibility that his battery was bad. And he never offered any proof that the battery tested good. Since we still had a warranty on the original that was supposed to be good to 2027, this would deprive us of 4 years of warranty coverage. He told us the choice was ours: take back the failed original with no warranty or get the new replacement with no warranty. Why would anyone consider dealing with this store when they make up their warranty policies on the spot to suit only them. We went to the local car dealer for our make of car and bought a factory fresh 12V for about the same price. The new replacement Duracell Batteries Plus gave us (no warranty) sits unused. The Batteries Plus 800 number hotline informed us that the company does not issue refunds. These thieves should be sued for deception and negligence. read more

He is not going to do well in biz the way he handled our situation. it was my first time in a Battery plus store but I will never go back. Details: Brought in an older iphone that was working well but the screen cracked badly. He replaced the screen. Looked good. Problem was it now did not work. His answer... "It's an old phone. I have fixed 3000 of these and it is the old phone." He thought we were scamming him. If the phone did not work, why would we pay $75 for new glass? Why take the phone and replace the screen? When iphones get opened, stuff happens. Turn on the phone first too to check it before you take off the screen. I asked him to try it again w another new screen. He said, It is not the screen. He then said he would do it...and then, said it would take 30 min so then changed mind and would not do it. He finally put in the old cracked glass after an hour. We finally got our money back. Guess what: The phone worked again. Next time, we go to the Apple store for professional tech and more importantly, professional service. read more

I looked at my review after posting, but am making this edit as they have me in the wrong state. I am Mike G, but I am from Concord, California The phone repair seems fine, but they did not disclose that they don't use Apple replacement parts or that aftermarket parts can cause some issues. I had an Iphone screen and battery replaced. When I looked at my phone, in the ABOUT section, I now have two "unknown parts". (both the battery and the screen) Also, I no longer am able to get battery health information as the aftermarket battery doesn't provide that information to the phone. ( See pictures) I went back in and asked them about it and they were aware that Iphones newer than Iphone X won't report battery health with aftermarket batteries. I guess i should have asked if the parts were authentic replacement parts or are 100 percent compatible. (I just assumed they would be) but I still feel they should have mentioned this to me. Also, It's not a big difference, but Apple phones are known for their screen quality. The aftermarket screen is OK, but it's not as crip. After doing a little research after the fact, it's apparent the non Apple screens are not as sharp and vibrant as the originals. If I now decide to sell my phone and upgrade, the used value of my phone has gone down significantly. No one is going to want a phone with two big warning triangles telling them it has Non-Apple parts in it. Beware of Non Apple parts, you might save some money, but that beautiful Apple display that you originally bought, won't be the same. Not to mention the battery issues. read more

I come here for exactly what you would think. Bulbs. Over the summer I had a few ceiling fan bulbs go out in my house. The base of these bulbs were not normal looking. At the risk of going on Amazon and buying the wrong thing and wasting my precious time I brought my burned bulb in here. While the person working wasn't exactly sure if what I had was what he carried, because my bulb was weird looking, he pointed me in the direction of ceiling fan bulbs in general. I kind of did a hold up and compare thing and I found what I assumed was comparable. Sure enough it was the right bulb. Here's the other thing, I work in construction, and I found out that you can open a business account with Batteries Plus Bulbs to receive a discount. Which my company has and its very nice. We occasionally need to buys batteries for certain things and let me tell you that they do have a great selection of unique batteries. I've only had those purchased for work and not personal but its great that we can efficiently get the job done. read more

There are better mail order services for nearly cheaper with new terminals and better assembling.. see pictures for reference. I purchased a battery about a year ago, and recently required AAA's assistance for a jump because the battery was failing. Per the AAA assistant, the battery was not secured properly during installation causing excess movement which led to a decline in battery function. After getting a jump and recharging the battery, I drove immediately back to this store location with my receipt and 2 year warranty. Upon arrival, the assistant first tried to convince me that my battery wasn't under warranty, despite the date being clearly displayed on the receipt. He then proceeded to test the battery voltage, which was below normal, but better than earlier in the day after my car and AAA had it charged. Obviously the voltage was going to be better. He refused to honor the warranty, or do any additional testing on the battery, despite the circumstances. Their policy makes no sense, and would require someone savvy enough to have a voltage tester and the ability to remove a battery for their warranty to kick in. The sales was rude and lacked any compassion. Customer support was also not helpful in this interaction either. I would NOT recommend giving this store or franchise your business. read more

I went to Verizon and they recommended I either call Samsung for a new phone or go to their store in Palo Alto for service (too far for me since I reside in Martinez, CA). Luckily my older brother referred me to Batteries Plus. I'm glad he did! They are really nice people, provide exceptional and FAST service and the price is reasonable. I went across the street to get a Starbucks (Took about five minutes), ordered my drink and returned to my car (Roughly ten minutes), got gas at the local station (ten minutes), returned, waited a little in my car by listening to music. I had my car battery replaced here last Sunday. Batteries Plus is one of few stores that offer battery replacement service and it's also free with your battery purchase. I ordered online with 10% off. Scheduled an appointment. Since I finished early with lunch Larkspur and this was on the way home, I called and moved my schedule earlier. They accommodated that. When I arrived, they had the battery ready. Battery was smaller than the battery I had (maybe because I got the car from Germany). They switched to an equivalent battery, applied the same discount and replaced the old one. Overall excellent service and value read more

If i could leave 0 stars i would. My experience with the owner of the store was horrible. I came in with a warranty issue on a very expensive battery i bought 2 years ago. It has a 4 year replacement warranty. I had charged the battery for a week and the amps were about half what it should be. When i brought the battery in the owner tested it on his "special" meter, it showed 12 volts. He then said "your battery is good" i told him it should read 1100 amps and it is half of that. ( his meter showed a couple of dots where the amp reading should be). I then got my meter out of my car and showed him the issue. He stated that "only his special meter could measure the amps on that particular battery " i knew that was not correct and told him so. He got very rude with me. I then took him over to an identical brand new battery and showed him that my meter read 1050 amps. He would not accept that my meter was right. He then said " ill warranty the battery just to get you out of my store" He was obviously embarrassed because he (the battery expert) doesnt know much about amp meters. However he claimed he could not find my account in his computer and told me i had to have the original receipt. I had a business account so i did not believe him. But there was nothing else i could do but leave dissatisfied. The rude and disrespectful way this guy spoke to me is unacceptable. I never cussed, yelled, or raised my voice to him. I disagreed with him because he was wrong. But i was always respectful and maintained my cool. Not only are the "best" batteries these folks sell a joke, but they do not warranty their product. I made a special trip here because I needed batteries and bulbs. Batteries for a digital bathroom scale and a clock. Bulbs for the pendant lights in my dining room and can lights throughout the house. None of them were necessarily common batteries and bulbs easily found at Safeway. I was immediately greeted by a friendly employee. I brought in the batteries and bulbs that I needed, and he happily led me to each section of the store where I could find each item. He even steered me to the sale items on some of the brands. This store has relatively low Yelp! ratings, but I found nothing but great customer service, selection and price.
