These folks replaced my iPhone 6s battery without any of the nonsense Apple was trying to feed me that the audio was failing so they couldn't change just the battery, but had to charge for an overhaul. The audio is just fine. I used Batteries Plus Bulbs' online service to set my appointment and got a $10 off coupon . They did the job in 25 minutes, as opposed to the 4 hours Apple was going to take. They were nice and professional, plus the store had lots of cool stuff in it for phones, bulbs and any kind of battery or flashlight you may want. I had a iPhone 8 needing a new charging port. Thought I could do it myself. 2 1/2 hours later, I had it apart and there was no hope of putting it back together. $30 and 60 minutes later, it was back together, charging, and working perfectly! TERRIBLE! This place is horrible. Awful service and rude disgusting employees. They attempted to fix my wife's iPhone screen and made it worse, a lot worse! The owner refused to fix it right or do anything to help me. He stole my money. I previously had them rebuild my power tool batteries and they lied about the cells they used inside. They assured me I was getting 3300mah and they installed 2200mah batteries. I found that out because there rebuild job was so bad I had to open it and fix it myself....half of the tabs were not even spot welded to the cells! Once again, the owner and his complete idiot employee stood there and told me I was wrong before I even got to explain the problem....they seriously just refuse to hear any kind of feedback regarding there work. It's kinda obvious the owner has a drug problem given his complete irrational thinking and the way he lashes out at his customers. He totally freaked out on my wife and then when I called him 1 day later he didnt even remember what happened until I refreshed his memory....and then starting screaming at me and pounding the top of the counter. I was having issues with my car constantly needing a jump throughout the past weekend and on Monday after work took it to Autozone to get "advice". I was feeling super frustrated and called a friend across the country. After venting and hanging up, she'd sent me a text saying she spoke with a rep and had 2, 3, and 5 year battery options in stock and were ready for me if I would take the van in, all I had to do was ask for Chris... When I got there, and spoke with the man behind the counter, it ended up being Chris and when I told him who I was he grabbed tools off the counter and was ready to go which for me was a stress reliever... He tested the battery and confirmed my battery needed to be replaced. He got the new battery and replaced it within 10 minutes... however, once when he put the car battery in my car would not stop honking! Apparently there's some crazy identity theft protection system in place and it took about 20-25 mins to sort out. Throughout the whole ordeal, Chris was extremely nice and patient and worked diligently to ensure my vehicle was good to go. I am so grateful for this mans professionalism. Third purchase through Batteries Plus, Pleasant Hill. First 2 orders went ok. This last effort was a bust. Ordered a battery online and called to confirm. The person on the phone said no problem complete your order. Completed the order and waited for the confirmation the order was ready for pick up. 4 hours and nothing. I called to question where the order is and the first person spoken to had no clue what to do. I was transferred to someone else who informed me they did not have it in stock for weeks. Next availability was at least 7 days. So no follow up on the error to let me know the battery was not available and I suspect they would have left me to rot waiting for the battery to come into stock. Additionally I never got a chance to ask to credit the order. Instead that person stated "order is canceled" then hung up. I am looking for a better source than this outfit. read more

Was once satisfied with Batteries Plus. Today ended that. I've been here twice about the same battery to replace it and their response is that the battery is good. I explained to them that the battery tests half of a volt less than the others and that it matters. He'd like to keep it and load test it with a light bulb for a day and a half. The cart isn't for fun Tom, it's for work so that we can continue to shop at establishments as this. We can't afford to leave it nearly 2 days a probably still told that the battery is good. I have gone to this store a number of times because they always have the 'odd ball' bulb or battery you need. Last week I went into the store and asked the clerk if they had a better quality bulb because the one I have been getting keeps burning out. He told me if I did not like the Products that I should just leave the store. Then he told me to just leave the store and threatened me that he would not take my money for the product and I would have to steel it so he could call the cops. I left because I felt threatened by this idiot clerk. I have tried to call the national head quarters but keep getting the wrong group. I'm leaving as a truly happy customer. Literally like two hours ago I cracked my smartphone screen...then an hour later I had already had an appointment scheduled to get my repair done. NEVER take your smart phone or iPad here to have the screen fixed!! I brought in my shattered iPhone and they gave it back to me with the screen not working, it was not sensitive to finger tips any more, I couldn't text, use the web, apps, nothing! So I took it back, and they tried again. Still BAD. I took it a third time and they clearly used a different screen that time...and it finally worked! So I thought, whew! Then a few days later the screen started separating from the phone!! UGGGHHHH. I just spotted this place and went in for look. I have batteries that need to be recycled - they take them. I have hand tools with dead batteries - they rebuild them and they sale replacements. The store is clean, well lit and prices are clearly marked on the items I was looking at. Sales person acknowledged me immediately (Tom Schultz) according to the business card he gave me. Showed up after making an appointment for a battery replacement on an iPhone 6. The technician, Andrea took it in the back and cleaned the port out. I, of course, had spent hours doing the same thing with canned air, alcohol swabs, needles, etc. to no avail. She came back and said the phone works, no problems and no charge. I was so excited, I came back with an older iPhone 5 that had died over a year ago. She had a new battery and the phone running within 15 minutes. Pictures and messages I hadn't seen in over a year. WOW, The fee was lower than I was expecting and I got 10 dollars off by scheduling online. I was in need of a battery for my truck. I was recommend to check out Batteries + Bulbs on Contra Costa. After shopping around for a battery. No place had what I needed in stock that day except Costco. BUT Costco wouldn't install it. Batteries + Bulbs had what I need in stock (better than what Costco had) AND installed it right then and there at no additional charge plus I wasn't required to pay the core fee since they were doing the installation. Literally 15 minutes I was in and out of there. I learned about a bunch of other cool mobile device repairs they handle while they were changing out the battery. I had my iPhone 6 screen and battery changed. The battery seems to be holding up ok, but the screens they use are terrible. After they first replaced it, I had to go back because the screen they used was malfunctioning. Soon after the second one started malfunctioning as well. The screen isn't very responsive to the touch. Also the screen has hots spots. Color is fading. I would just pay more to have a screen that works correctly. I am out of my 60 day warranty, however, I think I would have just been switching these screens out every couple weeks if they let me since they are so poorly constructed. Additionally, the second time I went back, they did not install the screen very well. It is protruding a bit. Also, one of the screws that holds in the screen isn't screwed in all the way.
