I went to the target store in Concord to get two things, office supplies and cassette tapes Note: I've been going to this store previously for 10 years The office supply stationary aisles had very little stuff in them and were a mess. I went to the tech counter to ask where cassette tapes were I stood there for 20 minutes more or less and did not see a single target employee mind you most of the stuff here is behind plastic door with locks I went to the red information button kiosk : I pushed the locate me button and typed in cassette tapes It happily and told me that they don't carry them at the store that you have to order them online I checked the price for the cassettes and the shipping was a certain price with a two week delivery date I checked with Amazon The cassettes were cheaper. Delivery was free and it was tomorrow. Target store online cassettes and delivery prices were three times more than what I could get it at Amazon not to mention the delay I wonder why people order anything from Target ? I still did not see any target employees to ask questions of and I was there over 45 minutes As I left empty-handed I noticed only two of the 11 check out counters open with long lines and that the security guard at the front door was playing a video game on his phone( be Booo BOOOP ! ) time for a change in management read more

Was in here both March 10 and March 11 just after noon both times. Store is absolutely packed. Both times there was one register open. One. There was a giant line for the self serve going all the way down the row past the empty register aisles. Check out my attached picture (from March 11, 2026) You see employees walking all over the store doing nothing. Absolutely nothing. Yet there is one register open. How does this manager keep his job? I have never seen a worse run Target in my life and there are some bad ones. This is absolutely unacceptable. If there is one register open and the self serve line has 15 people in it, get those employees walking around the store texting over to the registers and have them do their job. Be prepared to spend 1+ hours shopping here because majority of the time you'll be waiting 10-15 minutes for a staff member to unlock the security glass doors just to get your deodorant. I give them the benefit of the doubt because there could be thousands of reasons for the long wait, but if I have to personally reach out to an employee for help and they roll their eyes and give attitude because they have to do their job, then patience goes out the window. I genuinely just feel so uncomfortable reaching out to any staff member when I need help at this store. I force myself to figure things out on my own unless I'm at the self check-out counter and need assistance to void an item.. in my case, this actually happened to me and the employee who helped me gave an attitude like I was bothering her (this seems like an ongoing pattern with Target staff). She also was obnoxiously chewing gum and that really was just the cherry on top. I don't know if it's just this location that's lacking basic customer service skills, but I'd much rather go out of my way to commute to another Target location just to avoid this one. read more

Used to be nice here. Today the short girl with long brown hair with some grey in it says I can't return a deodorant that won't spray from 60 date who when policy is 90 days. So I come here primarily to hunt for Hotwheels, but as real collector knows, the scalpers get to these cars before we can! Whenever I get to Target the diecast car area is wrecked and totally picked through. It's hard to enjoy searching, when it looks like a tornado hit the toy section! If and when I do find good stuff, other "collectors" will follow me around and harass me to see what I found and try to snag my hand basket. So unfortunately, "hunting" at Target has gotten worse so I try to go here sparingly, to avoid the scalpers. This is your typical Target. It has a large outdoor parking lot shared with multiple businesses, but I've never had an issue finding a spot. It's conveniently located next to In-N-Out, which is a nice bonus. During the egg shortage, this Target still had eggs, which was impressive. I went to my local Target at 560 Contra Costa Blvd. Pleasant Hill, CA., this morning to look into buy gaming headphones, but the experience was beyond frustrating. When I needed assistance, I asked an employee, who used her radio to call for a team member. I waited six minutes--nothing. I then asked another employee, mentioned how long I had already been waiting, and he also radioed for help. Another five minutes passed--still no one. At this point, I walked to the front of the store to the cosmetics dept. In that little office / store room there I saw a young lady and asked to speak with a manager. The employee radioed the manager, who instead of coming to address the issue, asked through the radio what was wrong. Really? I explained that I had been waiting over 11 minutes for assistance in electronics and that this was completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the parking situation at this Target is a nightmare--all day, every day, all year long! This store seriously needs to step up its customer service and overall experience. read more

I came in to return an item, and the team member at the front insisted it wasn't from Target and couldn't be looked up--despite me showing her proof from Target's website. She called over a manager named Omar, who unfortunately wasn't able to assist. When I asked to speak with the store manager, Omar told me he didn't feel comfortable sharing their name. That's incredibly unprofessional--how does a company not know or disclose its store manager's name? The lack of support and unwillingness to listen to a customer who simply wanted to explain when and where the item was purchased was frustrating. I will not return to this location. If anyone from this Target is reading this, I urge you to train your employees on proper customer service and how to handle returns respectfully. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I came here earlier to return Target brand clothing and was met with the rudest customer service representative ever. The woman who helped me was treating me with little respect and made faces with every transaction we processed. Every time I pulled a clothing item out she made rude faces and was treating me as if I stole these items. While I clearly had my app open with all of my previous transactions. She also wasn't clearly trained for the returns because she questioned everything I tried to return although I checked the return policy per the website prior to coming in. She questioned me about my form of payments and if I even had them. Please don't come here if you're a person of color, all of the Caucasian customers who were in front of me were treated nicely. Impossible to shop in store. Basic items such as socks are locked behind cases that nobody comes to unlock when you request assistance. If I can't shop in store then I might as well just use Amazon. Don't sell the items in store if you refuse to help paying customers and I won't have to waste my time and gas driving there. First visit to Pleasant Hill Target since Christmas, and I was surprised to find much of the pharmacy items under lock and key. Is this the result of high rate of theft? I can understand perhaps vitamins and other medicines, but deoderant and shampoo?! It makes reading labels and comparing items difficult, if not impossible. And then there is the hassle of finding a clerk to open the case. I also do not see a consistency or logic in what is locked and what is not. More to come? I recently gave up using my Target credit card as we were getting dinged for missed payments. Not enough notice when the payment was due. So am skipping the 5% off and earning miles on another card. I always save at Target on certain grocery items, especially cereal, coffee, and soup. I was also saving on certain products in pharmacy. But now feel I am better off with Amazon Prime. read more

I will say that thankfully they don't have everything on lock down like they do at Walmart. I will sometimes drive to target to have lunch because my office is nearby. I'm amazed at how often the snack bar is open with no available staff. The most recent time yesterday I was excited to see a young man at the counter ready to help. I asked for a pizza and he told me that he couldn't make a pizza because he was headed on lunch break. This review is for the women's restroom only. Had to make a pit stop to use a public restroom and since Target was nearby and on the way, stopped here. Let me tell you, the restroom was filthy, ugh. Didn't want to sit on the toilet seat let alone walk in the place, but had to go. The toilet bowl needed cleaning badly and there was toilet seat covers and TP all over the floor. An employee needs to often check on the cleanliness of this restroom. It can be very hazardous should someone slip on the floor and then sue the store. With COVID practices in place, they also need to periodically close the restroom, clean it up top to bottom and disinfect it. A county inspector needs to survey the place. Otherwise, the store is your typical Target, same smell, layout, etc. read more

The worst target experience I've ever had . & I've never had a negative target experience until shopping here. The employees are extremely rude . I was about to go into an aisle but was still looking to see what was down there as a staff person was exiting the aisle with her cart & I then decided I would go down the aisle . So she had to go around me so she rolled her eyes at me dramatically and didn't say anything . Just rude but seemed to nicely answer two other customers who asked her questions after that . Then when I get to the checkout I asked if I can bring the cart into the parking lot & he said " yes but please don't leave your cart in the f****** parking lot " I was completely shocked he spoke to me like this .. I said I wasn't going to then he said " well some people are just lazy " . It was unbelievable that he would have even said that to me ! And to cuss , it was just rude and uncalled for. This is one of the cleanest and well-stocked Targets I've been to. Found everything I needed super fast. I hate crowds so love that it is very large and spacious, with lots of parking in this center, but come early if you can. It has a great selection of gift cards towards the front. Also love the holiday dollar items towards the front as you walk in. Great for stocking stuffers or small gifts. Small cafe/Starbucks & restrooms towards the front as you come in, also. Quite a few familis and people were seated. Check-out was fast & friendly. read more

This is the closest target to me but I will avoid at all costs. I would rather drive 20 minutes to another location than deal with this one. The stealing here is so bad. They never have anything in stock especially any toys due to theft. In addition to that, at least the toy and kids clothing sections look TRASHED and absolutely destroyed all the time. Like Black Friday trashed. On top of that, just about anything you need now is locked up in glass cases. I won't be surprised when the entire store becomes locked cases. One time I went and the employees left all the cases open in the aisle leaving a very tiny walkway through the aisles to push a cart through because I'm assuming they got tired of having to come unlock them which I believe because on the occasion that they don't leave them open and you do have to wave your hand under the little censor to alert an employee to come unlock the cases, they take 20 minutes to get there or they don't come at all. Most times I have to go and find an employee to avoid wasting 20 min of my time waiting for someone. And even then, they roll their eyes and are rude as if you've ruined their day by asking them to unlock something. Overall, the employees are rude, everything is either a mess or locked up, not to mention the parking lot is also a mad house. This location absolutely needs to close. Went to the CVS pharmacist that I've been to 3 times already and worker Adrienne said my insurance doesn't cover the medical treatment when I clearly came from the allergist doctor the day of. Said I've been using a discount card all 3 other times I came to get prescriptions without letting me know they were not using my insurance card. Hi there, Trey was very helpful and professional while helping me w/in the last week over the weekend on Sun, 6/2! He was extremely patient and doing his best to help me find specific pool-toys for the swimming that look like‍glow stick toys which sink to the bottom of the pool and stay on the floor of the ‍pool as they light up! We never found the pool toys I was looking for. I was disappointed in not finding them as a swim instructor though!
