The city of Downey has come a long way. Beso certainly is attracting crowds. It's a new spot to have a cocktail and dance the night away. No food served here. I'm confused though; you share the building with Kuduowl Lounge, and same bathrooms, too. Kuduowl is in the second floor above you and everyone enjoys the same music but your bars are ran by different companies and charge different prices for the same exact drinks!? This just seem odd. Last night was good. It could have been great but..... You need to play more than just Latin music all night loooooong. I love Latin music. I think you need to mix it up a lot more, Beso. The cocktails are expensive for the quality. You don't even serve Tito's vodka. Don't get me wrong; Beefeater London Dry gin is an old classic but cmon. Your cover charge is ridiculous! You're not in Las Vegas and certainly not Hollywood. I don't know that I will be back. Doubtful..... DTLA has so many more options and so close to everyone else. Beso, got you outta my system. Jeannine was hands down one of the best bottle servers I've ever had. From the moment we arrived, she was attentive, professional, and made sure our entire group felt taken care of all night. She stayed on top of everything our drinks were always filled, she checked in at the perfect times, and her energy truly elevated our whole experience. What really stood out was how friendly and personable she was while still being incredibly efficient and organized. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests and takes pride in her work. I went to this nightclub with a group of friends. Melissa helped us get a table for our group. We had fun for and were taken care of by our waitress Vanessa. The place is very spacious with two levels of entertainment. The music was great at one point they had, dancers, a live bongo player, and a DJ (who was great. I did notice a couple of fights going on in the dance floor, but security was very fast with getting to the point and determining who needed to go. They don't mess around. The only issue was that at approximately 12:45am-1:00am we were approached to buy another bottle or we will lose our table. After a quick conversation with our waitress and management they were ok with us staying for the night. Be prepared if the club is busy, you may be asked to buy another bottle or lose the table which is standard practice. The place got busy and extremely hot too! read more

Valentines Day Burlesque Show This review is for the Valentines Day Burlesque Show they promoted, offered and could not pull off. I will start by saying the club is beautiful, outside and inside. The server we had was very friendly, apologetic and courteous. The show consisted of 3 female burlesque dancers. Each dancer performed for 5 minutes each. There was no host, no mc or no one to introduce the performers. The first and last performer were terrible, the second one did an amazing job for the 5 minutes she was on stage. The food service was HORRIBLE. Food came out at random times, not in sync with the performance taking place on stage. They were almost 2 hours behind on bringing out the main course. Our steak and dessert arrived when 90% of the audience had already left and the staff was disassembling the tables and chairs. We asked for it to go as the environment became very awkward as the staff was looking at us to get up and get going. My date and I ended up eating our food in the car which is NOT the way a Valentine's Day Date was supposed to go. The idea behind this event was fantastic, unfortunately this company was not set up for it. They lacked organization from the moment you waited in line to the moments we left. The price I paid was 100 dollars per person for a mediocre show. It had me apologizing to my date for something that wasn't my fault. I felt embarrassed and felt taken advantage of. As a business owner myself, this is not acceptable and I will be submitting a request to eBrite Events for a full refund. What was supposed to be a a night of love and romance turned into a night of aggravation, and making my partner and I upset. This was not an isolated event, as we were NOT the only ones who felt this way. EVERYONES food arrived 1-2 hours late and everyone bared witnessed to the mediocre show that was labeled as a Burlesque Show. Total failure and I do NOT recommended anyone attend any event at this place. read more

A few months ago in February, me and my DJ collective (@sanctumrecs) got in touch with Beso with interest to host an event at this venue. The person we were in touch with, Mishelle, was extremely sweet and supportive all the time, and provided us more than enough resources to thrive and succeed. She always responded in a timely manner and was understanding about how we were up and coming. The security guards and staff there are also extremely friendly as well, as they actively enjoyed the show we were able to put on and were supportive too. The venue itself is beautiful too. I highly recommend working with this venue for future events, and highly recommend others visit and enjoy the space too. Beso Downey has potential to be one of the best event spaces and definitely deserves all the love. Thank you again! read more

I decided to have a girl's night out to celebrate my birthday and we went to the club on Friday, July 18, 2025. We decided to get a table for bottle service. Everything was great, we showed up around 10:30 pm. Our bottle was taken to our table and we danced the night away. When it was time to pay, our server came out with just the terminal to pay. No paper or printed receipt was ever shown to me or offered. She showed me the charge was going to be $396.00 for the bottle ($300) + 20% service ($60 aka tip) + 10% tax ($36). I was handed the terminal back and I confirmed the amount of $396. I was never offered a printed receipt or given one for the transaction. The club closes at 2:00 am, we were probably charged around 1:00 am, we went to go dance for a bit and came back to our table and the bottle, which still had alcohol in it, was removed along with everything else. We were never asked or told if they could remove the items from our table. I noticed right away that my credit card had been charged for double the amount $792! I waited for the charge to post as it was pending and when it charged fully on my account, I reached out to Michelle (books the tables for Beso) explaining the situation and that I had been accidentally double charged. She put me in contact with Vinny, the bar manager and he said he was going to look into it. They are trying to say that I left the $396.00 extra as a tip. I explained that was wrong and requested my money back. The girls and I were fine leaving the $60 service tip plus tax. Why would we leave 100% tip, that makes no sense. Nothing was ever printed (receipt). This is a total scam. They come up to you with just the terminal when it's dark and loud and you can't hear anything and don't give you a receipt. Vinny just texted back saying he "was going to look into options" and I never heard from them again or got my money back. Absolutely horrible! They are stealing people's money. Don't go! read more

If the music was good it would've been worth it but all they played was reggaeton and corridos tumbados like how am i even supposed to dance to that, so so lame. Honestly a disappointing experience.When our tickets were scanned, the first employee told us that groups of 6-10 people had to spend $600. Right after we agreed, the staff member managing the tables said if we were 10 people we actually had to spend $800. When someone from our group tried to clarify what the first guy had told us, he responded, "pops, if you don't want to listen to my recommendations, who can I talk to? I run the tables." My partner had to step in because we were already told $600 would be the maximum for 10 or more people. Once inside, they still attempted to charge us again even though we had reservations. The dance floor was so packed we could barely walk through -- and it wasn't even 10:30 PM yet. Overall, the communication was inconsistent and the space was overcrowded. Definitely not the experience we expected. This just happened 15 minutes ago just a heads up ! Do not recommend at all!!!!!!!! read more

If I could give this place a zero I would. We asked politely that we were part of a party and that we were asked to come before 10. The guy told use who were there for and I said the name for the party. They dismissed us and told us to go to the regular line. They were really rude and asked to pay 80$ per person. I asked if we could leave and they said the guy yelled at us to leave. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone. AVOID IT. read more

I really want to like this place because I think it has the potential to be incredible. The music/dj were great. He was playing reggaeton, throwbacks, hip hop, it was a little bit of everything. The guy doing the visuals too, amazing. The bouncers were also kind at the door. They were about their business but also fun and personable, honestly a good refresh. My 2 star review is based on the bartender. The person I was with had already placed an order for a drink (it was a 2 ingredient cocktail, nothing complicated). She had not rung him up yet. When she handed him the drink I let her know to add a second drink, mind you I am standing next to the person I was with. The way her eyes rolled...girl, stop it. You could hear the "ugh" in her face. You would have thought I had thrown her a complicated order or was holding the line with a drink request. The entire group I was with saw. I let her know to just close out his drink, that I didn't want a drink anymore. She kept pressuring the situation. "What do you want" "you just want one drink?!" "Just one?!" Our group of 6 would have happily ordered more drinks but the reality is we don't need to buy a drink if we are getting rude service. She created such an unenjoyable experience, shortlived too as we left to get drinks elsewhere. I've been in management for 10 years. This is absolutely not the way to address patrons at a bar who just wanted to order a drink. There really is no reason anyone should be rolling their eyes or giving attitude. Politeness and good customer service go a long way. It makes the difference in having customers return, order additional drinks, write positive reviews, build a reputation, help business success. I understand off days so hopefully next visit, it's a better experience. It's just a shame one person can overshadow how great the experience could have been. read more
