This is one of my new favorite spots on Tennyson. Great selection of beer, whiskey, and tequila. The beer is rotated regularly which gives customers an opportunity to try various beers, including beers from local breweries. Another option offered is kombucha, which can be served alone or as a mixed drink. With the purchase of a beverage you receive a token which can be placed in a box and put towards one of three charities. You get to choose which one you would like to donate to; an animal, human or environmental cause. This is a great place to get together with family, friends, and loved ones. You can choose to sit indoor and or on the patio. They have various games to play, including my all time favorite Cards Against Humanity. Last of all, the staff is great. Jay, Tommy, and Wes are friendly and very attentive. Whenever I come in I am always greeted with a smile. Overall this is a great neighborhood bar to visit! read more

What a great concept! Games + excellent drinks + charitable inclination = this five star review! There's an extensive beer list to choose from. Beers seem to rotate with some frequency. Additionally, some very interesting cocktail choices as well. We came here for a pre-dinner cocktail. I ended up selecting the Gin Untapped Lovender. It was delish! The sage and the lavender syrup were quite divine in this cocktail. This is a great place to bring a small group, as it is not huge in size. There is a very small outdoor area that overlooks the sidewalk if the weather is nice. Grab one of the board or card games that they have available while you enjoy your cocktail or beer. On our visit, we got into a spirited game of Cards Against Humanity. Service is proactive and friendly. At the end of your visit, you will get a wooden coin where you choose who receives your donation. It appears to be a rotating list based on charities falling into certain categories like environmental or humanitarian. Should my travels bring me back to this area in Denver, I'd happily return. read more

Nice small-ish bar with a good atmosphere for conversation. They have a good selection of Colorado beers (I went with the Odd 13 saison), and a high quality bourbon selection, with a few scotches, and other things thrown in. My brother and I split a flight of 5 whiskeys, so I got to try some Japanese whiskey and a couple of Colorado whiskeys. The bartender was knowledgeable and helped us pick out a couple to try. I'll definitely be back, and the charity donation tokens are a nice touch. read more

Really neat spot! Love the decor and the drinks. White wine blend (on tap!) that I had was perfect for a warm summer evening. Place itself is a bit small -- probably not great for large groups. Also, heads up, bar is SMALL. While we were there there was only one bartender, he was trying his best to keep up but it took a minute to get a drink from him or close out. Think this place is best for smaller groups or couples. Love that they do charity work also! I think the deal is each drink you get a chip and get to pick one out of three charities the chip (with some monetary value) goes towards. Was actually there for a charity event so they seem to be big on this, really neat concept, happy to support the animal charities in any way I can. Neat little spot, will be back! read more

I am so grateful to Berkeley Untapped for rallying throughout this Covid hellscape. They make their curbside pick up safe and welcoming, they are ALWAYS kind and generous, and they are really cultivating community with delicious cocktails and lovely service. This is hands down my favorite bar on Tennyson Street! The atmosphere is cozy, the cocktails are fabulous (and reasonably priced), the whiskey selection is impressive, and I can bring my dog. I appreciate that the place is small enough that I can actually carry on a conversation with the person across from me but lively enough that I can bust a move if Im loving the music. Cool. Cool. Cool. Great small, cozy little bar. Fun / relaxed atmosphere, great rotating beer on tap. The first time I came to this bar, I already felt, and was treated like a regular. Also some awesome smaller whiskeys / spirits available. Most all of the beers on tap were new to me, and also delicious. They only have tables that are bar height, so if you are in a wheelchair, there is no place to sit.

This place is fantastic if you're looking to try unique local beers and whiskey. Flights of beers, 32 oz craft biers to share, and wine served by the bottle or on tap. No need to go anywhere else for a group gathering or after work drink. The atmosphere is fun and they have a great little patio for people watching. Not only are the owners fun but they donate portions of their beer sales to local charities. You buy a beer and they let you pick one of the three charities to donate to. How amazing is that?!?!? Looking for a place to meet up for a couple of drinks and chats with some friends, I thought this place looked awesome and we gave it a shot. I really really wanted to love it - I mean, I loved the concept: craft beer, scotch/whisky, charity... winner. Except, it wasn't. Don't get me wrong, nothing was really wrong with it... it's just that nothing was really right either. Drinks - Honestly, I was disappointed by the beer list. There were about eight on tap, nothing terribly exciting or different. There was no bottle list, just a cooler with a few sad looking beers hanging out inside. They were fine, just not as many options as I had hoped. Service/Atmosphere - The vibe was pretty cool in this place. Small, not too loud to talk, but not awkwardly quiet either. A comfy place to hang and play some games and have some drinks. Service was fine. Ish. I mean, the guy got us our drinks and was pleasant enough... but honestly, didn't know anything about the beers. In conclusion - Great concept, and I really hope it was just an off night for me because I want them to do great. I had heard soooo much good stuff about this bar I think in my case it was overhyped. It was a fine bar, nothing specifically bad about it. It was just a bit boring to me. I agree they have good selection of beer and whiskey but this is Colorado and having a good beer selection is to be expected, it's the standard not the exception. The staff was polite but not particularly friendly. I peaked out after one drink and walked up the street to West End which was much more my style. read more

We went to dinner on Tennyson St. with some friends on Friday night and came upon this bar after eating down the street. It's a pretty small bar, but doesn't feel cramped at all. The drinks were excellent. Their drink menu had all kinds of unique drinks and I had no idea where to start (or what most of the ingredients were for that matter). I asked the server for recommendations based on my taste preferences. He recommended a drink that was perfect! He did the same for my husband as well. I couldn't tell you what the drinks were, but I know mine had a light sage and lavender taste. I'm glad we stumbled upon this place and will definitely be returning! read more

What a nice little place! Their selection of whiskey was way above what we expected. The atmosphere embraces its size and there is a wonderful mix of humanitarian-ness and getting your drink on. Love the token system as well. Most of the time I would want somewhere with food but this seems like the place to go while you're waiting for a table at somewhere close by. Awesome place! I was visiting from Dallas and we just walked by and decided to give it a whirl. I recommend the flights. The staff/owners clearly knows what's up and has good knowledge on the selection. Cheese plate was a nice addition, plus $0.25 of each drink you purchase goes towards a charity of your choice! What a bummer this place left a bad taste in my mouth, literally. Was excited to check it out and have heard great things. But not only was the bartender more concerned about his "girl friend," than my business, but I also had my drink spilled and was not offered another. I work in the service industry (and have for over 8 years now) and understand accidents happen, but I always immediately make another drink or offer to comp it if they weren't satisfied. Neither of these things happened tonight and the drink wasn't even that good, it actually tasted like it was poorly made so in my opinion, not worth your time or money to check out. Nice new place to meet with friends. Had wine instead of beer, but the list was a good local assortment, but not very extensive- instead of many they change selection often. Only downside, no food. they do offer a cheese & meat plate that was good, but no other food or munchies are available. read more
