I thought we'd made it through the…read moreworst of the thunderstorms and microbursts, but a tiny spat of rain took a huge branch off the hackberry tree in between my and my neighbor's yard. In a certified Sunday miracle, it barely clipped my gutter (which hung on!) and landed square in between our houses, roofs no worse for the wear. I still found myself feeling a bit uneasy with the tree so close though, so reached out on Yelp to Texas Tree Doctors to take a look. Nicholas responded immediately and was able to come out just a couple hours later. Nicholas is a wealth of knowledge and was kind to answer basically every question I had in my free consult. He offered some really practical remediation in the form of a nutrient treatment that would help get the tree healthier and more supple so it'd be less likely to break in the future. For hardly any extra he offered to haul away the big branch as well. He also ballparked a cost for removing the tree entirely - all quotes seemed really fair. Ultimately, the tree is on the other side of the property line so removal is up to my neighbor, but I appreciate how straightforward it was to get someone with Nicholas's experience to take a look.
