Super relaxed, they take your order at the counter and the food was brought out fast. The price is very good for what you get. I got the Deluxe Combination bento box with Calamari for an addition 3 dollars and Grilled Honey chicken and fried tofu. I asked for no rice extra salad. My Husband got the Dre and the godfather rolls. Their sushi is 50 percent off the rolls which is amazing. Will definitely be back with these prices and food quality. Open seating can self seating.

That was pretty yummy. We attended the teaspoon grand opening and was so hungry bc of the wait so we stopped by here. I ordered a bento box #1. It came out to be $21 and some change and we also add tips on top. So somewhere around $25. It came with a salad and inside the bento box it has the teriyaki chicken, 4 dynamite sushi pieces, white rice and tempora shrimps and some fried veggies. It was a good snack to share with my sister and daughter while we waited in line for our drinks. But it is definitely getting pricey for a bento box. I enjoyed every part of it most importantly the dynamite roll was yummy. Everything was good.

Kids meal: This meal is enough food for an adult meal for sure! Very good food. The chicken was very tender.

Found the placethrough Yelp and not to far from the hotel. It's in a large shopping center so lots of parking. The menu is pretty extensive with sushi and bento plates. I ordered teriyaki beef and mixed tempura which came with a regular sushi roll. The beef was similar to bulgogi and pretty tender and easy to eat. The tempura was interesting in that the shrimp seemed to be pre-made frozen but the veggies were in-house battered. The sushi roll i ordered was negihama. It was okay. You order at the counter and they give you a number to put on the table. They bring the food to your table. It is a nice place to eat with a good number of tables to sit at.

About once a month I have a craving specifically for the Bento #1 special. It comes with chicken teriyaki, mixed tempura, and 4 pieces of a sushi roll. I usually call ahead or order online. The service is quick, the employees are nice, and the restaurant is clean. My only complaint is that they don't have an image or pdf menu online. You have to go to their online ordering platform the view the menu. Small detail! I highly recommend!!

Door dashed from this location and the food hit the spot. The beef salad was amazing. The beef was seasoned well, just wish there as more sauce, and salad was great with veggies. Got a veggie roll on the side for the rice Everything tasted amazing.

My coworker and I decided to order to-go for lunch. Unfortunately, they don't have to-go menus available or a website...so the ordering process isn't as easy as the other surrounding restaurants. I ordered the salmon skin handroll and a roll - can't remember the name. The salmon skin was delicious but the portions were off. There was way more cucumber than salmon skin in my handroll. The sushi roll I ordered was good too. I really liked that the slices of fresh peppers on top were actually spicy! It's pretty pricey now. I remember coming here while I was a college student at Sac State and really getting a bang for my buck. That's no longer the case...my one handroll and sushi roll was nearly $30!

I absolutely love this place. The food is excellent and if you are shopping or live next to Loehmann's Plaza and it's a MUST TRY! I usually get the Korean short ribs with extra salad the dressing is really good. It NEVER DISAPPOINTS

Been to this location a number of time. Love the food and service couldn't be better. The location is good with a large parking lot that usually very full. I'm going to keep coming back! The chicken teriyaki box and mixed tempura are my favs! Small indoor seating with "well loved" furnishings but clean interior. There is some outdoor seating for when the weather is nice, which is most of the year.

Honestly, it's not a bad place for a quick lunch. Bento Box options were great, simple, and straight to the point. It does the job for a bento meal. I'm satisfied with the food, but it's not mind-blowing bentos. It does the job of hitting that teriyaki chicken craving that comes here and there. The side sauces were $1 each, which was a bit excessive, considering it was just sriracha and spicy mayo. Nevertheless, the lunch combo was a good deal. I'd probably try their sushi options next time if I am near the area.

The first time, I visited with a GF friend and they really appreciated the GF menu. It feels like the restaurant put a lot of thought into the menu. The chicken karage was cripsy and juicy and very good. The spicy tuna roll was fresh and the rainbow roll is good. I got the tommy roll and it was the best thing I have even eaten, sushi-wise. It was hella expensive at $28 but the crab tasted fresh and it had so much flavor while not being overwhelming. The texture was also good, and each piece is very large but built to be broken down into 2 bites if needed without falling apart.

They almost melt in your mouth with flavor. my waiter stopped by several times to take my order and check on me. I went next with a miso soup, ample size for a serving. I was prepared for a salty spoonful on my first spoonful, But I was surprised to have a nicely flavored soup with scallions and tofu. And not salty at all. I might have to grap a second bowl to go as it was so good. Next, I went with my server John's suggestions the Flaming Srooms, Tempura Mushrooms with crab mix cream cheese jalapeños, special sauce shaved Bonita flakes and green onions. They came out very hot and if you know Mushrooms never put one in your mouth right from the oven or fryer as you will burn your mouth. So I enjoyed the smell of it for a couple of minutes before biting into one. I did expect a larger mushroom bit the top was filled with imitation crab and cream cheese. smaller mushroom then I expected for sure. Almost like a mushroom crab ragoon, Mushroom lovers will like this. Next I went with the Spicy Johnny roll. the Tuna and the eel are the major flavors here with the sauces, not spicy for me but possibly for others. And finally ended with a simple Spicy Salmon roll. they add chillies powder and Sesame oil which is different then most east coast places I was sitting around enjoying my meal as they were getting close to closing. I was impressed on the details they took on cleaning the entire restaurant and even the walls. I would definitely come back when I am in town.

I would often come around noon during the week, and order the Thai chicken bento box. Unfortunately one of the days I came, I found a fingernail in the California roll. Bit into the roll, and the fingernail as well. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Immediately lost my appetite and wanted to throw up. I flagged my server down (all the employees here are super nice), and showed her the fingernail. She took it to the back and reported it to a manager or supervisor I suppose. When she came back she told me that their California rolls are pre-made, so if you're ordering these rolls BE CAREFUL. She offered to remake the bento box to which I shared no. I asked for my tab and when she came back she said it was on the house and did not ask me to pay (nice gesture, but I mean when you find a whole fingernail in your food, that's the least that can be done). Safe to save, I have not gone back since then and probably won't. If I did, I'm definitely staying far away from the California roll. This happened to me last year, so hoping some changes in their hygiene and making of California rolls have been made since then.

The TV screens show sushi making videos that get our attention hooked. The robot server has happy music playing and sweet messages on its screen, like KIT, as it rolls away. They're not the fanciest, the food quality is good but not excellent, the service isn't memorable. But after visiting here on and off for so long, it has just became a sushi staple in town. This is the place to go to for large groups because the sushi is affordable, the atmosphere is welcoming, and there is a huge variety of rolls to choose from. Not only rolls, but appetizers, entrees, drinks, etc. Their menu has expanded since years ago, and is accommodating to the general public for the entire family. Whether you like sushi or not, you'll find at least one item on the menu you would like. For my bougie taste buds that I've developed from trying so many restaurants, it's not quite my preference when I'm craving sushi, but from a nostalgic perspective, I would actually recommend Sushi Hook as a welcoming place for heartwarming sushi. I've moved out of Sacramento about 2 months ago, and still have yet to come across a sushi gem that brings people together with affordable dining. The rolls were flavorful and well-made, with a noticeable focus on sauces. They do tend to go heavier on the sauce, so if you like your sushi rich and packed with flavor, you'll probably enjoy it.
