The place was pretty busy when we arrived and had a family vibe to it somehow. Our server was very nice and seated us quickly. I was a bit confused at first, but I believe this is also called Von's Chicken. The one that caught our eye on their menu was the Honey Butter Chicken, as we've never heard of it before. It came out super quick, within 10 minutes. The skin was so crispy and crunchy, it was crazy. We just inhaled it. The chicken was sweet and salty, which made a yummy combination. My only thing on it was that the powder was poured all over the top, so the bottom of the chicken didn't get coated very well. I wish it was coated more evenly, but it doesn't change that it was super good. Highly recommend getting their chicken. The portions were huge as well.
This ramen spot is one of my go-tos and I absolutely recommend it if you are looking for not only good ramen but delicious spicy edamame. Spicy edamame is something I always order at sushi and ramen places, and there are a lot of great spots in Sacramento to order it at. This place is honestly top three for me, the edamame is perfectly cooked, very spicy and garlicky, and it never lasts on the table. The ramen is very delicious as well, they have lots of options including a vegetarian option, bibimbaps, and because it is also a Vons Chicken location you can get tasty fried chicken too. My cousins and I always get edamame, fries, and mozzarella sticks to share before our meals. It can get kind busy here but the staff are always incredibly nice and attentive. The prices are appropriate, not overpriced and worth it. There's indoor and outdoor seating, it's clean, and the food comes out quickly. Definitely recommend!
The most delicious and authentic ramen I've ever tried. This is a super causal whole in the wall restaurant but the food is amazing. You have to get the garlic edamame and homemade kimchi. It is so delicious. Please come here with an appetize as the portions are huge.
WOW! I'm so glad Jake and I left the office just before noon because this place filled up fast. It was a rainy day back in December 2024, and the craving for fresh ramen was too strong to resist. Pro tip: arrive just before noon to snag a seat. They also have a fridge stocked with cold drinks, including sodas and beer bottles. I went with the House Ramen, which featured a pork bone-based soup loaded with cabbage, bean sprouts, bamboo, pickled ginger, egg, green onion, spinach, and two slices of chashu (sliced pork). I opted for medium spiciness, and it hit the spot perfectly. The broth combined with all the veggies was fantastic--just what I needed on a rainy day. We'll definitely be coming back to try some of their other dishes. The Champong looked absolutely amazing!
I used to rave about this spot when it was a solid 5-star experience, but lately things have taken a nosedive. The ramen broth now feels noticeably watered down and basic. Instead of a rich, well-crafted flavor profile, I'm mostly left with a broth that seems to rely on a handful of cheap ingredients--spinach, cabbage, corn, and bean sprouts. Some of the ramen still includes an egg and chasu but it doesn't make up for the rest of the ingredients that are lacking. There's hardly any variety or depth to it, making it feel like you're just having plain noodles in broth rather than a thoughtfully prepared bowl of ramen. This location is combined with a Vons Chicken, which I highly recommend their Korean fried chicken but the ramen just ain't it. Service is still friendly, and the ambiance remains inviting, but the culinary quality just isn't there anymore. I hope they can get back to their old standards, but for now, I'll have to settle for 3 stars.

We visited Ramen and More and were absolutely blown away! Hands down, this is the best pho I've had in Sacramento. We ordered the Meat Pho, Combination Pho, and Fried Chicken -- everything was full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and served in huge portions for a very reasonable price. There were 7 of us, and every single person loved their meal. The broth was rich and comforting, and the toppings were fresh and generous. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy -- a great surprise!
Awsome! We had some chicken and ramen. I don't know if you know the "fire" taste. 불맛. It was my first time tasting that in a ramen menu!! The chicken is like that typical korean chicken taste, not like the American franchise chicken places. If you don't know what I mean by it, it's basically the crispy taste is like pringles (less oily than regular fried chickens, which I love it)
Hidden gem that seats 30. Right next to sushi hook. This ramen hit the spot during a cold night. I got the house ramen spicy. The spicy level was on point but died off half ways down the bowl. One server, and he was moving. Polite and tentative. We got two house ramens, chicken karaag, a beer and sojo all for $65. The chicken karaag was good but I def had better. The egg my only complaint. It was too well done. I needed some yoke. Will stop by and pay them a visit again.

Great little spot . Service is friendly, fast, and good. Food was so delicious. We got ramen , fried calamari legs ( so good) and garlic edamame. I could eat my weight is the edamame . We will be coming back here for sure. read more

I think this place gets 3.5 stars. The Raman was pretty salty and coated with MSG. My mouth still feels parched and thirsty after drinking three glasses of water. I wish they made the soup from scratch and not instant noodle seasoning. Chicken wings were good. They tasted better than the noodles. We were the only table on a Friday afternoon, which made me a little nervous. But the food and service was OK. It wasn't mind blowing or anything. read more

I had the meat pho and it was amazing! The broth was rich and flavorful -- you can tell it's been simmered for hours. The beef was tender and cooked perfectly, and the noodles had just the right texture. Fresh herbs, lime, and a hint of spice brought everything together beautifully. Comforting, satisfying, and full of depth. Easily one of the best pho bowls I've had! read more

I have a ramen shop that I use as a measure of what a ramen shop should be. And this place falls a little short of that measure. It's good, but not totally. You can come here when you're in the area, but nothing to go out of your way for for a taste of ramen. Service was also a little on the slow side. I came here with my kids and the place was close to packed. With two staff doing the orders and service, they could hardly cope with the crowd. We were seated immediately, but it took around 15 minutes for them to get back to us to get our order. One item of note that you should not miss on your visit is the Ganjang Chicken. Really tasty, crispy coated, deep fried chicken wings! I still have a few items I have to try on their menu, but this has been put on my favourites list... The establishment is nice and clean, and feels nice and inviting. You should give this place a try if you're in the area... read more
When I am in the Arden arcade area, I like to dine at this establishment to eat their dolsot bibimbap. I love the crispness of the rice on the bottom of the stone bowl. The beef is tender. The over easy egg is just how I prefer it. I do not care for their ramen. I had tried the tonkatsu ramen and it was below my expectation. The broth is not flavorful and did not taste like tonkatsu. Therefore, 4 star rating for the bibimbap. read more

Didn't know this spot was inside a Avon's a chicken! We got the ramen selection instead. Anyways the calamari was pretty good and came with spicy Mayo. The food came out pretty fast, the soup isn't like your ordinary Japanese ramen, it had lots of spinach which wasn't a bad thing. The bibimbap was good too! read more

I was in the area and in the mood for something soupy so I stopped by Ramen & More for a quick lunch. They have outdoor seating which is great! I ordered first and directed outside to a table. My order was ready fairly quickly which was nice since I was on a time crunch and they weren't busy at all. I ordered the Bulgogi Ramen (~$14). This ramen contains a light yet salty broth with beef bulgogi, cabbage, bean sprouts, bamboo, egg, corn, green onion, and dried seaweed. The broth itself was a bit too salty for my liking; I would have preferred a creamy broth but not a big deal! My main problem with the dish was that it was loaded with spinach instead of bulgogi. I mean after all, it is called Bulgogi Ramen. My favorite part of ramen is the egg but this egg was still cold on the inside and barely seasoned. All the vegetables were fine and seemed to be the freshest part of the whole dish. It kept me full for a few hours but it definitely wasn't satisfying. If you're looking for ramen or anything soupy, I would consider going somewhere else. The prices here are okay but I'd rather pay a little more for better quality and taste! read more

This spot has great outdoor seating so I took advantage of the beautiful weather to enjoy a meal. I ordered the house ramen which had a nice spice to it. My friends ordered the Champong ramen and the bulgogi rice plate. Of course I ordered a side of kimchi cause I have to try it everywhere I go that has it. Everything was delicious! Next time I'm picking the fried chicken and kimchi fried rice. read more

So I actually got a chance to venture in and visit this little mom & pop noodle house that is down the street from where i live. My phone did go dead before the noodles came out. The service was very friendly and they make your ramen the way you would want it. I also ordered potstickers and they were gone almost as soon as they got to the table so that was yummy! The place was great if your a giant fan of ramen. It was a bit pricy though. I did end up spending about $30 on a bowl of ramen, potstickers and a coke. For what I got, I don't see how the bill could have gotten that high but that's fine. I guess the place has to stay alive during covid. I may or may not be back due to the fact that I can get a whole bento box next door for under $20. For me the price just was not really consistant with what a bowl of ramen would add up to. read more

This my first time and I would have to say my last time ordering from this restaurant. I'm amazed at the portion of their food with a almost $20 price point. The Bibimbap barely had any vegetables or meat and the same goes for the bulgogi plate. read more

I came to dinner with my family and ate it together, but I've lived in Sacramento for 8 years and this is the first time I've had such delicious ramen. In particular, the chicken is Korean-style chicken, but it is so plain and delicious. It is a special place to eat this type of chicken in the United States. We got the Beef bulgogi bibimbaps - one in a rice bowl and one in a stone pot. The food was quite great and the service was nice too. There weren't that many tables filled on a Saturday evening around 8 pm, ranging from 3 to 4 tables while we were there. The two servers were both attentive and checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The bibimbap bowls were tasty, but the only complaint is that they did have a lot of sesame oil in them. The fried egg in the regular bibimbap bowl was definitely better than the raw egg in the stone bowl (the assumption being you let the egg cook inside the stone pot). The portions were normal-sized, but I was able to save some of my dish for later. My favorite part about the meal was the Taro macaron ice cream sandwich. The owner (I think) said it was the best-selling flavor, and because we were so indecisive about which flavor to buy, she recommended that to us. We weren't disappointed. I was initially attracted to this restaurant because of the low prices and wide range of dishes on the menu, from ramen to bibimbap to gyoza. However, I was disappointed that each of the menu items were at least $3-5 more than what was posted online/yelp, so not everything in terms of prices is updated/accurate online. read more
TLDR; - patio is not the way to go on a busy night - takoyaki would not recommend (4 pieces and very mushy exterior) - busy night equal forgotten service Haven't been here in a while. Last time it was called Ramen & Rice. Lol Anyways, craving for ramen on a Saturday night and boy, was it packed. So packed that we had to sit outside on the patio. I really dislike sitting outside because they will forget you if the place is pack. Our waitress sat us outside and told us she would be back for our menu. Needless to say, she disappeared and we haven't heard from her. 20 mins has passed so I asked the boyfriend to get her because clearly, she forgotten us. He came back and she was outside less than 5 mins. Says she was sorry and that it's so packed and busy. Anyways, we ordered the takoyaki and 2 ramens. Both ramens were excellent. But the takoyaki...disappointment for the texture was off and we got 4 pieces for $8... Do NOT buy the takoyaki here. Ramens were good. Wish there was more meat in mines...(House Ramen). Overall, delicious ramens, but I'd advise anyone going in on a busy night or sitting outside on the patio...don't get upset if they forgot about you. And if anyone likes their takoyaki soft shell on the outside...by all means. read more
