We were seated promptly and our drink orders were taken and delivered soon thereafter. Next up was soup and salad. The soup was simple but delicious, and the salad was crisp and fresh, with a sweet and tangy dressing that was a nice followup in anticipation for the main course. If you've been to a hibachi restaurant, you know that there's basically two parts: the show, and the food. It's not often that both of these parts are excellent, but Masu Sushi delivered on both. Our chef was a great showman, with some new tricks I hadn't seen before. His pacing was great, delivering the rice, vegetables, and meats in a nice cadence that kept us from getting too hungry, but yet, not too stuffed as we waited for the meats. The ingredients were all great - I opted for steak and shrimp, with the former being a perfect medium rare as requested, and the latter were large, firm, fresh shrimp with enough seasoning to bring the flavor, but not too much that they were salty or just tasting like the seasoning. Bottom line, we had a great meal that never felt rushed or too slow, and we had plenty of leftovers for the next day, which is important considering how much eating out costs these days. I highly recommend Masu Sushi for your next get together!

The food was good but could have been better. I tried some of the chicken and shrimp hibachi, and the veggies had the best flavor. Overall this restaurant was a very nice experience but I would probably save your money on the hibachi.

Each visit and order has been both delicious and filling without leaving me feeling lethargic or slow the rest of the day. Service has also been friendly and attentive to my needs, ensuring that I am satisfied and well taken care of. As a former fan of "all you can eat" buffets, I noticed as I've gotten older, I'm no longer a fan of "all ya can eat", but hangin' out with da fellas is fun. What can I say about Japan House? 1. The restaurant had an extensive sushi menu for all you can eat. 2. Exceptional service! Our waitress was very attentive, she kept checking up on us and placed our food orders quickly. After placing the food order, the food came out quickly. 3. This restaurant was one of the first restaurants that used an electronic robot. The robot machine brought out the simple items, and I even saw the robot sing "Happy Birthday" to a restaurant patron. 4. The restaurant is casual, and pretty dark inside. 5. The sushi quality is about "middle of the road", not the best, but far from bad. What do you expect for all you can eat? Check out my pics..... And if ya gotta ask, YES......all that food pics I took, I actually ate all that food. I swear when I got back to the hotel, I was in total kanak attack (Hawaiian Paralysis). Lol!

I ordered it with the chicken and just requested that they didn't do the teriyaki (since it was not gluten free) and just had them cook it normally and it was delicious. I will say that the soup and salad that you get at the beginning of the meal required some modifications. No dressing on the salad (it contained gluten) along with the soup being changed to just broth because the miso came with noodles in it. Overall the staff was so kind and patient with my questions and needs.

So many places miss the mark for me, too sweet, too saucy, soggy vegetables, bland fried rice, or disappointing meat. After reading the reviews for Mr. Hibachi, I finally tried it, and I'm so glad I did! Even the soup and salad deserve some attention, and those usually aren't the parts I get excited about. The soup had a rich, slightly smoky onion flavor with just the right amount of salt. It reminded me of the soup I remember from hibachi restaurants years ago. The salad had crisp lettuce, and the dressing had a fresh peanut flavor with a hint of spice. Both were delicious. I ordered the filet and chicken combo, which also came with two appetizer shrimp, fried rice, noodles, and vegetables. The filet was very tender and flavorful, and the shrimp were seasoned beautifully as you could actually see the pepper on them. The chicken had good flavor, too, although it was a little dry and more cooked than I prefer. That was really my only disappointment. The fried rice was exactly what I had been looking for: properly seasoned, with onion, egg, and that classic hibachi flavor. I usually skip the noodles at other places and get extra rice, but I'm glad I tried these because they were really good! The vegetables tasted grilled and weren't swimming in sweet sauce or soggy. That makes such a difference to me. I was initially unsure about the yum yum sauce because it looked like it might be bottled, but whatever they use, it tasted exactly how I expected and paired perfectly with the seasoned meat. This comes extremely close to replacing my old favorite, and in some ways, I liked it even better. My previous spot was an express-style restaurant that didn't include soup and salad, so this felt like a complete hibachi meal. It costs a little more, but with those extras, the quality of the food, and enough left over for another meal, I felt it was worth it. I'm so excited to have finally found hibachi I really enjoy again. I can definitely see myself getting hooked on this place!

I'd give them a 3.5 if I could…read more Hibachi is hibachi and Mr. Hibachi is fairly decent compared to other places. Their portions are really generous and everything was seasoned really well. The noodles were everyone's fave! They fail with the details though. For example, the sugar and sweeteners for tea at our table was very low (like one packet of sugar for the whole table) and all of the condiment holders had obviously not been cleaned from the lunch service. We came at open so that means no one checked to make sure that all items were ready for customers prior to open. Also there was some type of ventilation issue. The smoke from the hibachi lingered and there air in the restaurant was kind of "stale". We also had to ask for little things that should have been standard (ice with our drinks, napkins, etc) and waited a long time to close put out ticket. I think it just depends on the server and chef that you get. The table across from us had great service with no issues from the looks of it. Not sure if I'd call this the best hibachi in DFW. It's a step up from Benihana in terms of quality but I wouldn't go out of my way to try it out.

Refreshing Surprise - Passion & Care…read more I was down the street getting a haircut and had a craving for sushi, so I opened Yelp, spotted Kanzi, and decided to swing by. I'm so glad I did. Kanzi is one of those refreshing surprises: an approachable neighborhood sushi spot that clearly cares about the details. They may not be trying to be an ultra high-end omakase destination with otoro and uni, but what they do offer, they execute with care, precision, and pride. The fish was clearly well stored and well cared for, and the cuts were clean and thoughtful. I tried the red snapper, eel, mackerel, yellowtail, masago, super white tuna with fresh wasabi, and one roll: the no-rice Cool Hawaiian. I'll post a few pictures as well because the presentation really deserves it. I sat at the bar and had the chance to talk with Hong, the chef preparing my food. I learned that he took over the restaurant from his brother and still visits sushi restaurants around DFW at least twice a week to keep learning, tasting, and improving his own craft. That told me everything I needed to know. There is real passion here. Hong believes the details matter, from a clean bathroom to the right Japanese knife, specially purchased for left-handed use. That kind of care shows up in the food and in the overall experience. Go visit Kanzi, sit at the bar if you can, and tell Hong that Tait says hello -- and thank you. Pro Tip: Kanzi is currently BYOB. There is a liquor store right across the parking lot, literally within about 50 feet. Walk in, head to the cooler on the far right, grab a cold bottle of sake, and bring it back with you. Kanzi has sake cups ready to go, which makes the whole experience even better.

To the right there are two huge kiosks. Plus a menu board above your head. Extreme overload IMO. I'll address the ambiance, this place needs a cleaning. Crumbs on table and seating. A young lady came to front and asked if it was my first time. I'm sure I appeared overwhelmed. (I was). She told me to use my phone to access the QR code at the table. AND to seat myself. AGAIN, This was extreme overload. I only wanted to order and pay cash. No physical menus in sight. The QR code is Apple Pay. Ugh. I'm old school and don't have all this stuff on my phone. I need it simple. I need a human connection. Not being able to see my food being cooked should have been another warning. What are you hiding?? Everyone wants a tip for doing nothing! Come on. I will never be guilted into leaving a tip for doing nothing. My shrimp rolls were brought to me with 2 packets "of to go Duck sauce". How original is that? The Tuna Rolls are covered with some mayo mix. The offer she did give me after the tuna rolls were delivered was Sriracha sauce, Louisiana sauce, or packets of soy sauce. Ugh. Really?? My food was terrible. I left 6 rolls of 7 uneaten. Odd number to deliver to the table. One bite of the tuna rolls and I knew it was best I NOT eat anything. Sushi is something this place should NEVER serve. Eat here at your own risk. Maybe the hibachi is safe. However, I'm not willing to ever take that risk. The business stayed busy with outgoing orders.
