Left over chicken from 2 orders. And we all have original teeth!!
Jack R.

Food was awful. Snapper was long ago FROZEN and the scent lingered. Chicken was hard, chewy and stringy. Flavor weird. Fried rice tasted like it was from a week ago- also hard and dried out! Also awful. Soup was tasty and almost luke warm. Left over chicken got ground up for the pup because even he couldn't eat it as it was prepared by the restaurant. See pic for amount of leftovers we carried out!! Veggies all tasted like fish as they were cooked over the snapper space!! Terrible! Recommendations : Never cook veggies over the space where fish was cooked. Inform customers that fish is NOT FRESH. Buy some fresh- not frozen chicken. Don't use leftover rice!!

I went in to this location for lunch and the hostess refused to seat me because I didn't have a party or two or more with me and it was against company policy. I told her I had come here until times alone and never had an issue, but she continued to argue with me and wouldn't let me sit down to eat. Customer service goes a long way and apparently this place doesn't believe in it anymore. Not the first time I've had an issue here; I won't be back.

My husband and I were in the area for quick weekend getaway with our kids. He briefly mentioned hibachi and I thought it would be a good idea, turns out. . .it was a GREAT idea. We loved it. The area surrounding this location is super clean and not a piece of paper anywhere! Anyway. . .we definitely enjoyed our experience here. The service was great, so was the food!!! My kids are really picky with their food but luckily they enjoyed everything that they had. I also had one of their sushi rolls which was awesome! My main dish was the hibachi steak and shrimp with fried rice. YUM! It also comes with soup and salad. My kids absolutely loved the soup! The waiter was super sweet a brought them a bowl when he saw my kids without any. If I'm ever in the area, you better believe I'll be back!

We stopped coming here a long time ago. Way over priced for sub food. Extra charge for everything..noodles with hibachi and rice. Rip off. Then at the end of the night the hibachi chefs told us to them separately and they were dead serious. It was so bad we never went back and I always tell people to not go there. Go to Kasai in Colleyville it's only a few extra minutes up the street for good food and a great happy hour. Headed back there tonight.. will uodate.

IHS always a favorite ! I'm a pilot and travel the world (literally) in search of great food. I found a way to get paid by being a Captain of private Jets. So I've had some Sushi. Always a treat to be in the Dallas area and come visit Mr. Long and his staff. Quality and quantity at a very reasonable price point. They also have Habachi tables for special events.

The ambiance was nice. It was a very chill vibe and not a ton of people which was nice. Service was lacking but not the worst. The waitress checked back a couple times, but didn't really engage with us outside of that, which is fine. Food came out in a decent time as there were not many people there. Food was just ok(quite bland), but for the price I definitely would say they are lacking. All in all I'm glad I got the experience but can't say I'd rush to go back.

I was sat quickly at the bar, and then seemed to be forgotten about. I did wait a while before a man came to me to take my drink order, and then things progressed quickly. Though everyone who ended up being sat after me were immediately taken care of. I ordered the sushi and sashimi bento box. I sat at the sushi bar so I was able to watch how things were prepared. Everything comes out quickly, as all of the proteins are pre sliced and ready to go. They were busy and the turn around is quick. They also do a lot of to go orders, and those were stacked up by the front door. I thought the quality of the fish was good for the price. I really liked the ginger dressing that comes on the salad, though it is a wild color. The gyoza just tasted like frozen dumplings you can buy at the store, and then deep fried. But they were good. The rice was cooked properly, and not mushy at all. The only thing I didn't care for was the California roll. It was super goopy and just tasted like mayo. I had to leave that alone. The atmosphere is very noisy and if you are sitting at the sushi bar, you hear the constant beeping of their order machine. I may try them again for dinner if it is a bit quieter, or takout seems like a good option, though there is no online ordering on their website.

There are plenty of good choices on the menu (the mushroom risotto is excellent, which shows the breadth and scope of this Japanese restaurant). Again, the wait staff here is very attentive, always checking in and refilling our water or clearing our dishes. In particular, our waitress Lynn is amazing and made us feel right at home. She knows the menu inside out and had recommendations ready for us when we inquired (sake, appetizers, rolls). On top of that, she is very friendly and kind, which added to our positive dining experience. If I were starting a restaurant, I would hire all of my wait staff to be similar to Lynn in character, charm, work ethic, and customer-centric focus. For dessert, Lynn recommended the ube cake -- it was one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. Five stars overall for Nikko for the delicious food, festive ambience, and ease of parking.

NOOOOO! I want to find something good to eat in this Colleyville strip, but this is not it…read more To start, the service felt rushed from the moment we sat down. While efficiency is appreciated, this crossed into uncomfortable territory -- minutes after ordering, the food was on our table. While speed can be a good thing, it raised red flags in this case. Additionally, we asked the waitress a few standard questions like "what is most popular," and she said, "maybe sushi or hibachi," not the most helpful, seeing the name is Hibachi Sushi, so I tried again, seeing they have Sea Bass. I asked if she would recommend Sea Bass, and she again said yes, or chicken or beef. I guess we're reading the menu together today. It was rough, but we settled on two hibachi dishes from a standard table and not surrounding the hibachi cook. The food itself confirmed our time concerns. The quick turnaround meant the dishes lacked freshness. The sea bass in particular was disappointing -- overcooked and rubbery, with no delicate texture you'd expect from a quality fish cut. It tasted more like it had been reheated than freshly prepared. Other items followed suit, feeling hastily assembled rather than thoughtfully cooked. The sauce, texture, and everything else were a miss. Overall, the experience felt more like a race than a meal. Hibachi dining usually delivers on the fresh-off-the-grill flavor. Sadly, this visit missed all of those marks. If you're looking for a date night dinning for about $70 (without drinks or tip) but also need to be in and out in 30 minutes, with feelings of disappointment this is your stop. Recommend staff training for the waiters that interface with customers but also, and more importantly, someone that works there needs to eat what the customers are being served. This food is terrible and in need of quality assurance measures.
