This was my second time at this restaurant. Food was wonderful, & they were gracious to seat & serve us the last 30 minutes they were open. (It's a bit of drive from my mom's hm.) Their mimosa flights are fun & who doesn't love a good Bene?! And I was able to get a gluten free English muffin- a real treat!

Sunday morning around 10:30 we drove down to Bene's for our last breakfast with our son after the EWU football game on Thursday. Bene's parking lot was packed! So after walking in, we were told it would be a 30min wait. Which wasn't too bad, as we were expecting 1hour wait. Fast forward 30mins, we were seated promptly, and ordered our food: 2 coffees Water Denver scrambles with hash browns Flavored Blueberry Waffles Breakfast Steak burrito [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambience was Very lively and the food was great too!! It seemed like everyone knew everyone. Lol.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is definitely a local hot spot and we will be back for sure!

I can't believe I haven't yelped about this Cheney gem before! They have the best breakfast here, specializing in creative twists on Eggs Benedict! I've tried quite a few versions and they're all delicious!! You can get the classic version too! They make the BEST hash browns, perfectly cooked every time! The breakfast burrito and scrambles are fantastic too! I can't review any of their lunch items but I'm sure they are just as delicious as everything else on their menu! And be sure to try the seasonal mimosa flights! So fun! The staff are extremely friendly and the restaurant is sparkling clean!

My boyfriend and I have came here a couple times so far. You get to choose where you sit. It's a cute little restaurant. Our server has been the same both times we've been there and he's super nice and on point. Food is delicious. You can either get half or full size. I'd say get the full all the time since the food is delicious. We're definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu

Worth the drive to Cheney! I'm a huge fan of Eggs Benedict. So when I heard this place opened I had to check it out! I had the Cali Benedict today. It was delicious. A great variety of flavors. Only thing missing was that I wasn't eating it on a patio on a summer morning! The hash browns were about as good as they get. Asked for them crispy and they came as ordered! Can't wait to visit again and try another Bene! read more

Decided to brave the elements this morning and venture down to Bene's in downtown Cheney for a late breakfast. So glad we did! It was busy, but well staffed. The decor is super cute ... love the yellow accents! Food was amazing. We split a chicken fried steak eggs Benedict ... who woulda' thunk, and a huckleberry waffle! Benes.....im assuming the name is for the selection of eggs benedict. I ordered a half cali benidect and it was AMAZING. And it filled me up im so glad I only got half. Just a tip to the chef.....you should put corn beef benedict on the menu or spam benedict both very good breakfast foods....but it was soooo good. Presentation wasn't so good plating was good The décor is a little older but is a clean diner Overall . Food was very tasty yey could have been a little hotter buy were a large group ... This is by far my favorite breakfast in town. The homemade jam, waffles, and fresh orange juice is awesome. I've never have had a bad experience. Every meal I have ordered has been delicious and have had only but good service. I highly recommend Bene's! read more

Bene's is a great quick breakfast experience, but it's the subtleties that pull you in. The waitresses smile (and hustle). The atmosphere is simple, bright, and very clean. But the food... the food is something else entirely. Eggs Benedict is the speciality (and probably what you should order), and fresh squeezed orange juice is always ready made right in front of you. For a small reasonably priced breakfast nook, Bene's is the full package. read more

Been here many times. Just average food but today the service was awful. The drink gal was not friendly and I'm not fond of their can soda deal. I watched one of the servers pull an open can out of frig and pour it in a cup and then open another can to fill it all the way. So basically you get half flat soda? I mean it was 9 am so not sure if that soda was from the day before or??? I totally would have sent that back if it was my order. Glad I ordered coffee. If you order scrambled eggs you don't get ' scrambled eggs' you get eggs cooked flat on the grill and folded over. This is not real scrambled eggs. read more

I tried Bene's when they first opened. I love eggs Benedict so I was really excited when they came to town. My first experience did not go so well. The poached eggs were saturated with water to the point when I broke the yoke it was just runny water that came out. I couldn't eat my plate. I left disappointed and had no intentions of going back. But yesterday I decided to give them another try and I am so happy that I did!! I had the chicken fried steak with home fries and a biscuit. My eggs were a perfect over-medium. I normally eat half my plate and save the rest for later. Yesterday, I ate EVERYTHING on my plate. My friend had the CA bene's and it was delicious! The eggs were poached beautifully. My hubs had the waffle combo and it's one of the better waffles I've tasted. The coffee was really good and nothing beats their freshly squeezed OJ. This will be our new breakfast go-to! read more

In town for a basketball tournament and ate breakfast at Bene's both days. Coming back next year just for the Irishman Bene's special. It was the best breakfast we've ever had. Great food, attentive service. read more

Came here mid morning on a weekday with a friend and we were able to be seated right away! The coffee is great, and we both got a half order of classic Benedict's. The half order was definitely enough and it came out no longer than ten minutes after we ordered. Great quality food and our server was super friendly as well, will definitely make the trip over here again. read more

We wanted a good breakfast on our way out of town. Loved this place. The staff were prompt and friendly. I'm kicking myself for not remembering her name. The food was wonderful and plentiful. This is a classic breakfast spot. It's jams are local and incredibly good. The cooks are fantastic with their timing and I have not once had an even mediocre experience at Bene's. The staff is fantastically upbeat and kind, and the food is clearly a priority for the kitchen staff. Whoever is on their cooking shifts is a magician and makes this place a MUST GO location for anyone in Cheney. Hands down, the BEST service and breakfast food I've had since I became an adult 10 years ago. Keep up the great work!!!! read more

Benes was an incredible meal. Though the menu is small you have a ton of options for mix it up. The waitstaff was very kind and the atmosphere is quaint and sweet. Though it's a little drive from Spokane, it was worth it. Especially for the chocolate and strawberry waffle - which made for the perfect dessert. read more

Been here before and the food was delicious, however my husband and I went there today and were told it would be a fifteen minute wait.... ten minutes in a group of nine came in and were told it would be a twenty minute wait for two tables together, ten minutes later the group of nine were seated and we were left waiting still after twenty minutes with no word from the waiter.... pretty sucky he didn't at least ask us if we were ok with him wearing them first.... we would have been fine with it but he seated the party of nine first and said nothing to us. read more

This place has been a lot of different eateries over the years. Somehow, I get the feeling Bene's will stick. (And I hope it does!) Finally, there is a place to get decent diner food in Cheney. Awesome prices, awesome food. Those picky about the ever-delicious eggs benedict, king of breakfast foods, won't be let down. Truly tasty. The only point of contention I have is the awkwardness of the dining area - nothing but a sea of tiny tables in a tiny, square front of house. It's not very attractive or cozy, but...the food is good. I suggest to-go. read more

My husband loved his breakfast burrito! My mom enjoyed her Florentine Benedict. I didn't like my Eggs Benedict. The Benedict serving was huge! The hollandaise sauce covered half the plate! The portion of the smoked ham was generous, but not proportional. The amount of ham was too salty for the meal. My mom and I agreed the hollandaise sauce was overwhelming and bland. I added pictures of our leftover Eggs Benedict, still so much hollandaise sauce left. The hash browns were salty to me, but I am sensitive to salt. I'd come back for the biscuits. The portions were big, but bigger isn't always better. Bene's, another breakfast restaurant down the street is exceedingly better for Eggs Benedict.

I don't get why there's a no outdoor food/drink policy. Starbucks doesn't care so why do they? I brought in an outdoor drink and was told immediately that wasn't allowed. I felt bad enough to buy a muffin, even though I didn't want one. I'd rather support Starbucks than this business. I want to relax and connect with people, when I go out to restaurants or businesses. I wouldn't come back for the vibes or the food. I'll be meeting friends at Starbucks next time.

The chicken enchilada had dry chunks of chicken that were like sawdust in my mouth. The food had been microwaved so it was excruciatingly hot on the edges and ice cold on the inside. If they had to microwave it, there was no excuse for them not to have at least stirred the food before they served it. No one else was in the restaurant the entire time we were there so it wasn't that they were busy. When we left we wanted to give someone feedback, but there was no one around. We finally took our uneaten food to the front counter hoping to talk to someone, but after waiting for a few minutes and seeing no one, we placed our uneaten plates on the counter and left.

My husband has been here before, while working in Cheney, and told me about his favorite breakfast place, Bene's. I was lucky enough to travel with him this time and this place is a new favorite of mine! Can't wait to travel back to Cheney, when he is working, just so I can have breakfast here again! The first morning, close to St. Patrick's Day, I had the special "Thin Mint Waffle." It was incredible! Not too sweet or too minty, just perfect! I couldn't wait for breakfast the next day, so I could try the Irish Bene! It was delicious! Perfect combination of corned beef, cabbage, hollandaise, and Guinness reduction, on a biscuit, and served with hash browns. Alexx, our waitress both days, is one of the owners, and she was great! I was going to write something critical just for Derek's sake, but I couldn't think of anything bad. Bene's has become our favorite place to eat because of the food quality and friendliness of the staff! Too bad they are not open for dinner. Best poached eggs anywhere, and I'm a retired truck driver who has been all over the country. Went and ate in this cute, new restaurant and had one of the best experiences. Our server Kasey was so kind and polite, and she brought many smiles to our face. She was the best waitress I've had when eating out. Will definitely be coming back to eat here. read more
