This is my favorite breakfast place. It's worth the drive from Spokane to Cheney! I am a huge benedict fan and I love the variety of different benedicts, some are menu regulars and other are limited time specials. Of those regulars I highly recommend the chorizo, Cali, Avacado Toast, crab cake, and Salmon bene's. My wife's favorite is the mimosa flight and flavored waffle. read more

This was my first time in Cheney, Washington! The parking lot was small. The inside of the restaurant was cute and simple. My fiancé and I went there on a Saturday morning and it was busy! There was only one server and I felt bad for her. The service that day was bad, we were passed by countless times. It took a long time to get anything, water, order food, our food. I could see our food sitting in the window, waiting to be picked up. I get it was busy so like I said, I do feel bad. If I was anywhere else I probably wouldn't have tipped because of the service. I got the veggie benedict and hashbrowns. The full benedict was about $18. If you have trouble deciding between the options, you can split the full and get one of each egg benedict. Sunday morning around 10:30 we drove down to Bene's for our last breakfast with our son after the EWU football game on Thursday. Bene's parking lot was packed! So after walking in, we were told it would be a 30min wait. Which wasn't too bad, as we were expecting 1hour wait. Fast forward 30mins, we were seated promptly, and ordered our food: 2 coffees Water Denver scrambles with hash browns Flavored Blueberry Waffles Breakfast Steak burrito Ambience was Very lively and the food was great too!! First time at Bene's and was in for a recruit visit and they told us the eggs Benedict are the special but as I've said before I'm not a big breakfast guy so I got the breakfast burrito and it did not disappoint one bit. The hash brown in there was an awesome touch and I went with chorizo that was spot on. Most of the girls got the Benedict and to be honest they looked real good. Walked 15 blocks to get some of the amazing Benes. 8:30 am and it's closed up tight. Google and yelp both say 7-2 so I call. Says leave a message but then hangs up. I can't believe I haven't yelped about this Cheney gem before! They have the best breakfast here, specializing in creative twists on Eggs Benedict! I've tried quite a few versions and they're all delicious!! You can get the classic version too! They make the BEST hash browns, perfectly cooked every time! The breakfast burrito and scrambles are fantastic too! I can't review any of their lunch items but I'm sure they are just as delicious as everything else on their menu! An exceedingly subpar experience. Went in about 8 on a Friday morning on our way through Cheney. We had high hopes because we heard there's a family connection with one of our favorites in Spokane, Kalico Kitchen. This place is disappointingly nothing like the other. To begin with the place was FREEZING cold! We asked the server and she said the system was on but it takes a long time to warm up. We spent our whole visit in our coats. Service was lackluster at best. We had to ask for a coffee refill which should never happen, especially since we were only one of four tables. The server paid more attention to the walk in to go customer than she did to us. Food itself was okay but still below expectation. For the price, I was expecting more than a frozen biscuit and a dry overcooked chicken fried steak patty. Homemade biscuits are not hard to make and would have vastly improved the meal. If this is the best breakfast in Cheney I'd consider moving. One and done for us. read more

Our server has been the same both times we've been there and he's super nice and on point. Food is delicious. You can either get half or full size. When I go with anyone who has never been to Bene's I suggest the try the original 1/2 order of the original eggs bendedict and another 1/2 order of any other kind of eggs benedict (The southern benedict is amazing). We have been going here since they first opened. Three of had breakfast this morning, 2 of us ordered the half veggie Benedict and 1 Cali Benedict. The food was very good as always, although the portion of hash browns served has diminished significantly. Pre-Covid they opened at 6, and offered an early bird menu from 6 to 8, but now that they don't open until 7 the special runs 7-8, fine. There were no early bird menus on the tables. The server was extremely slow moving, never smiled seemed to be new, but they were the only server there. We'll go back, and hope for a new server. By the way the eggs were poached perfectly. If you like benedicts, this is your orgasm. This place is well worth the short off-I 90 diversion. The selection is wide, and the ability to mix and match a great option. If your lifetime date is similar to mine, too many options can be a big obstacle to a quick breakfast on the road. As our patient server Hannah (sp.) was considering bringing us a lunch menu, I was eating a paper napkin and sucking on a salt shaker. My brother said lets go get some breakfast and picked Bene's for us to try, it was little after 10am on Saturday but there wasn't any wait at all. I had been wanting to try Bene's every time we drove past it, because benedicts are my jam! After we got a table and sat down, we checked out the menu and I heard a sad oh from my brother, I asked what happened and he said this place does eggs benedicts and I was hoping for omelets. Normally he prides himself on being super smarty pants and I just asked him how he missed that this was a benedict place with the name of Benes? haha. But I didn't want to be a poor sport (he was the one with car haha) and did say hey lets find someplace else if this isn't your thing. But thankfully he was like naw lets just give it a try. He checked out the menu and went with The Eagle, it was home fries, peppers, onions, some meat and cheese all scrambled with 2 eggs, he was quite pleased with his breakfast. Bene's has soo many eggs benedicts to try, and believe me when I am back I will work my way around this menu, but for now I went with the traditional eggs benedicts, 2 poached eggs on top of a huge pile of thin sliced ham over a grilled English muffin with hollandaise sauce covering everything like a warm blanket, also got them with a side of home fries. Decided to drop in on Bene's before shopping at Bi-Mart in Cheney. A quiet roadside breakfast/lunch spot, intimate and simply furnished. Bene's is friendly and warm, as welcoming as you might wish. The menu boasted a dozen versions of eggs benedict (my favorite breakfast treat). We ordered the salmon benedict and the chorizo benedict. Both were simply presented but bursting with flavor. Once the plates hit the table, we raced to devour the feast before us. Everything about the setting was comfortable. The service was prompt and friendly and the price super-right! WORST SERVICE EVER!!! PATIENTLY, POLITELY WAITED for over a half hour while mulitple families walked in and were immediately seated. Looked in the dining room and there was a 4-top available the entire time. Since we were the last ones in the tiny waiting area, the anti-hostess had to finally acknowledge our presence. She says, "Oh, my bad. You're still here." We only chose this place due to the proximity to the vet, while we waited for our pet to have some tests run. No current decor, postage stamp sized tables you can barely walk between - it's a small, low-rent, low-end dive with dirty floors in the middle of backwoods nowhere that no one would ever drive to on purpose. The customers were predominantly college students who must have got up too late to eat in the cafeteria and some work crews. NEVER BEEN HERE BEFORE AND WILL NEVER BE BACK. read more
