Veggie Benedict - Regular
Casey I.

This was my first time in Cheney, Washington! The parking lot was small. The inside of the restaurant was cute and simple. My fiancé and I went there on a Saturday morning and it was busy! There was only one server and I felt bad for her. The service that day was bad, we were passed by countless times. It took a long time to get anything, water, order food, our food. I could see our food sitting in the window, waiting to be picked up. I get it was busy so like I said, I do feel bad. If I was anywhere else I probably wouldn't have tipped because of the service. I got the veggie benedict and hashbrowns. The full benedict was about $18. If you have trouble deciding between the options, you can split the full and get one of each egg benedict. The eggs benedict was better than I anticipated. My fiancé got some chorizo omelet with hash browns. He thought his omelet was fair. Cute breakfast place but hectic service.

This was my second time at this restaurant. Food was wonderful, & they were gracious to seat & serve us the last 30 minutes they were open. (It's a bit of drive from my mom's hm.) Their mimosa flights are fun & who doesn't love a good Bene?! And I was able to get a gluten free English muffin- a real treat!

Sunday morning around 10:30 we drove down to Bene's for our last breakfast with our son after the EWU football game on Thursday. Bene's parking lot was packed! So after walking in, we were told it would be a 30min wait. Which wasn't too bad, as we were expecting 1hour wait. Fast forward 30mins, we were seated promptly, and ordered our food: 2 coffees Water Denver scrambles with hash browns Flavored Blueberry Waffles Breakfast Steak burrito Ambience was Very lively and the food was great too!! It seemed like everyone knew everyone. Lol. This is definitely a local hot spot and we will be back for sure!

I can't believe I haven't yelped about this Cheney gem before! They have the best breakfast here, specializing in creative twists on Eggs Benedict! I've tried quite a few versions and they're all delicious!! You can get the classic version too! They make the BEST hash browns, perfectly cooked every time! The breakfast burrito and scrambles are fantastic too! I can't review any of their lunch items but I'm sure they are just as delicious as everything else on their menu! And be sure to try the seasonal mimosa flights! So fun! The staff are extremely friendly and the restaurant is sparkling clean!

My boyfriend and I have came here a couple times so far. You get to choose where you sit. It's a cute little restaurant. Our server has been the same both times we've been there and he's super nice and on point. Food is delicious. You can either get half or full size. I'd say get the full all the time since the food is delicious. We're definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu

Bene's never disappoints. We take all our out-of-towners there when they visit. The chicken fried steak Benedict is my favorite.

A hidden gem in Cheney. Great food and service, but the coffee was awful. Had a great experience though.

Very crowded, locals love it. The food was fine, nothing special. Usually overrun with students.

Cute little place. Great service. Wide variety on menu. Gave one star off because I like sauce on eggs Benedict to be thick.

The restaurant seems to be a family ran business. Sadly, this review isn't good. We went on Sunday around 11:30 AM. The restaurant wasn't busy, only 3 other tables there. We ordered a basket of buttermilk biscuits as an appetizer. My husband ordered a Loaded Breakfast Burrito. My mom ordered the Florentine Benedict with house potatoes. I ordered the classic Eggs Benedict. It took 30 minutes to get our appetizer of biscuits. The restaurant wasn't busy, so I don't know why it took so long. It took another 10 minutes to get our food. 40 minutes for food is ridiculous, especially classic breakfast food! Our server didn't come by with any update while we waited. My husband loved his breakfast burrito! My mom enjoyed her Florentine Benedict. I didn't like my Eggs Benedict. The Benedict serving was huge! The hollandaise sauce covered half the plate! The portion of the smoked ham was generous, but not proportional. The amount of ham was too salty for the meal. My mom and I agreed the hollandaise sauce was overwhelming and bland. I added pictures of our leftover Eggs Benedict, still so much hollandaise sauce left. The hash browns were salty to me, but I am sensitive to salt. I'd come back for the biscuits. The portions were big, but bigger isn't always better. Bene's, another breakfast restaurant down the street is exceedingly better for Eggs Benedict.

Updated* The…read moreambiance is really beautiful, high ceilings, mason jar lighting and ample seating. The menu has a lot of variety, for breakfast and lunch. The food is pricey for the portions and quality. I've always been more hungry than satisfied, after eating here. The service is usually friendly, but more strict than a Starbucks. I don't get why there's a no outdoor food/drink policy. Starbucks doesn't care so why do they? I brought in an outdoor drink and was told immediately that wasn't allowed. I felt bad enough to buy a muffin, even though I didn't want one. I'd rather support Starbucks than this business. I want to relax and connect with people, when I go out to restaurants or businesses. I wouldn't come back for the vibes or the food. I'll be meeting friends at Starbucks next time.

So glad we came! Small but quaint, great for small groups. Ordering is easy: stand in line, place an order, & find a table; they'll bring out your food = easy. There's even a small book shop attached to the eatery if you want to browse around while you wait. Their house coffee is on the mild side IMO, there's no aroma when I received it. But their food hit the spot: Continental Kick and Loaded Hashbrown. If you like breakfast sandwich with egg the try this sandwich, you enjoy all the flavor without the egg falling out or egg yolk dripping. The loaded hash brown can be consider a small portion if you have a big appetite (but it is priced right) so thinking about ordering two or add/try a different dish. Another nice place to mark to try when in Cheney!
