The house salad wasn't very good, it was just bland really. My burger was good! But the fries tasted like old donuts. It's a cool experience going to a snazzy restaurant but the food was not worth the price listed in my opinion, and I deeply regret my decision to spend $120 there for a valentines dinner. This place has wonderful food and an even more wonderful staff. Expect the best of both here. Even when my daughter dropped a glass on the floor that shattered everywhere, every worker who came to clean it up comforted her and were so respectful and nice. It is her favorite place and she says she will never forget that they didn't treat her "like a dumb clumsy kid". She said she was about to cry of embarrassment but the workers really made her feel that it was okay. So thankful for this experience and the incredible staff. They have a special menu of easily transported foods for curbside, but you're free to order anything you like. The bartender went over my order when I picked up to make sure it was accurate. We recently visited Benchmark and found it really good. We sat at the bar and Katie was fantastic. Couldn't ask for a better server.

Overall this is a great restaurant. The happy hour is amazing. $4 old fashions and manhattans along with a list of other drinks under $5 bucks... they have a small selection of food for happy hour. The steak frites is ok, the steak could have used more seasoning and more tender. The béarnaise sauce was amazing. The osso buco was also amazing with the saffron risotto. I also enjoyed the chicken stuffed with goat cheese and pancetta with brussel sprouts and saffron risotto. The steaks are pricy but you can make choices that keep costs down. Stopped by here on our way passing through Ohio - what a pleasant surprise! The decor was nice, the service was attentive, and everything we had - with the exception of the house "bread" - was delicious. We had the goat cheese and prosciutto appetizer, a steak and blue cheese salad, a filet mignon, brussel sprouts, and fries. My fiance and I went to Benchmark for the first time last night, and it did not disappoint! Our server was a sweet lady named Esther and she did a great job at explaining the restaurant and giving drink recommendations. I had the red sangria and my fiance had the angel's envy (can't remember what it was, either whiskey or bourbon) and he really enjoyed it. the sangria was much too sweet, and i ended up just giving it to my fiance to finish off. We started with the complimentary cheese-herb popovers- delicious! i just wish they had been a little warmer. we also had the crab cake for the appetizer, and were both impressed by how much crab was actually in it. I got the short rib for my entree and it was SO good. the sauces and seasonings were just right, and those mashed potatoes were buttery and incredible. my fiance had the 16 oz ribeye and ate the whole thing... the bernaise sauce was his favorite! we finished with the lemon tart and I definitely recommend it. there was a great balance of tart and sweet and it wasn't too heavy after our huge dinner! it got busier closer to 7, so make reservations or come in early. we will be back soon! read more

I just found my new local date night spot! It's atmosphere is perfect to go after work for drinks with co-workers or with your significant other before a movie. The food list is unique and everything I believe is made in house! I went there with my co-workers and was pleased with the service we got and the different dishes we ate. We had a reservation so we were seated right away and the service was amazing. They started us off with cheesy popovers which were amazing and we ordered the smoked salmon dip as an appetizer, which was also amazing. I ordered the steak frites, and the steak was tender and the fries were perfectly crispy. I just wanted to say that we were so excited to have our first dinner at your restaurant and called for a reservation this evening requesting a table. We arrived and was seated promptly but soon became aware that it was not a good seat for us as I explained to the host that I have shingles and the table we were sat at was directly in front of the door and the cold air was bothering me. There were four to five other tables that were empty and no one was waiting to be seated so we asked if we could sit at the table back toward the booths. The hostess said well we have reservations for those tables and I said but their all empty and since our table will be available for someone could we please sit there. She continued to say they were taken. Clearly to us they were not as they were empty and no one was waiting. She then said just a moment and walked away. Someone else came over and said please follow me. She walked us past all of the open tables and sat us at a booth. We clearly stated that we needed a table as my husband is claustrophobic and has a hard time sitting in a booth. We ended up leaving as we felt that we were not valued as a customer and there should have been no arguing back and forth. It's a shame as we are big steak eaters and was really looking forward to trying a new place. We ended up enjoying dinner at the Final Cut. This place is indeed Killin it. I'm in from Manhattan visiting family and we came here because it was recommended by their friends. This place is an excellent steak house. Excellent drinks. The beacon appetizer ( which is a staple of a good steakhouse) was perfect. I had the ribeye medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. Other people had the pork chop, unbelievable. French press coffee at the table was a perfect ending. The kitchen is open to the dining room and the head chef walks around and makes sure that everything is on par. This was our first time at Benchmark. Upon walking in, we were greeted warmly by the hostess. Even though there was a big party coming in in a few minutes, she was able to accommodate us. They were soft, flavorful. The French onion soup was excellent and would highly recommend. The pan fried green beans were well seasoned and went well with the steak sirloin. The service staff is friendly and very attentive. The facility provides a modern steakhouse environment with its relatively new building. M only complaint is the seating environment is loud, but the food more than compensates. I enjoyed the lamb chops that were grilled to a perfect medium rare. We ordered the fried cauliflower, crispy brussel sprouts, wedge salad, salmon, and steak frites. Food was so tasty! I love cauliflower, and the capers worked surprisingly well with them. Brussel sprouts were crispy and sweet and I inhaled them. Wedge salad was pretty standard, but my boyfriend really liked the large chunks of bacon. Salmon was cooked perfectly but I do wish the bernaise was on the side since it was rather heavy. Chunky mashed potatoes and haricot vert were perfect accompaniments. I'm not a steak person but the crust on the steak frites was the right amount of saltiness and char. Fries are good but next time I'd substitute them for another side. I got the chocolate cake for my birthday, and it was less of a cake and more of a fudge consistency which I didn't complain about because I love dense chocolatey goodness.
