In our ongoing quest to find fried clams, my wife recently discovered Chateau Louise, and we couldn't believe we hadn't visited sooner. Open for over 80 years, just 15 minutes from our home in Toledo, we've visit Luna Pier often, but have clearly just driven by CL every time. Now that we've discovered it though, I suspect we will be back often. We tried many different deep fried foods on our first visit, from the clams, which were awesome by the way, to pickles, shrimp and fish. All good. The batter is crispy and salty and has an almost cracker like crunch, very unlike the puffier batter that is more common in the area. We also loved our salads with the chickpeas, and, while you have to request it, the free 'relish tray' is recommend for the fresh break it offers your palette. Also highly recommended, and the complete unexpected star of my meal, was the insanely fabulous coleslaw. It's hard to fully describe how delicious it is, but if you're a fan of savory slaw, you absolutely have to try this out. I found it more useful to pair with my fried fish, than the homemade tartar, which was also great. Honestly, it was ALL great, and you should definitely check it out if you're looking for a quaint break from the hustle and bustle of Toledo. I would recommend you go early, as we found service around 5 to be perfect, but things really started filling up as we left.

First time here and highly impressed. Short staffed and still managed to take care of every table in a timely manner. I ordered the perch dinner which was absolutely amazing. With the perch dinner I believe I had 10 nice size fillets. I highly recommend this place and we will back for some more delicious perch!

Cute area and a short walk from the beach. It is much more quiet than some of the other very loud live band playing restaurants near by, if you are looking for less of a loud bar scene. Super nice attentive staff. The food is good, American style vibe, and has a good price for the value. Maybe could have more quality options for fresh fish because of the proximity to the beach.

The road is totally closed and the detour may take you 15-20 minutes out of your way if you're taken by surprise. Just know your detour options in advance and you'll be fine. That said, it's worth the effort to make it to Webber's! The location is in Erie, MI technically, but it feels like Point Place. It's located on Lake Erie or the river flowing into Lake Erie and is a very casually charming location. Be sure to have a reservation unless you don't mind dining in the bar area. We were there to celebrate a birthday and were seated inside (in A/C on a hot humid evening) and had a pleasant table with a view of the waterfront. The atmosphere is very comfortable, though I wish they had booths. Nevertheless, we had a nice dining experience. Our server was friendly and efficient. She immediately got us started with drinks and answered questions about specials and the menu. My friend had tried and true fish and chips and took home leftovers. I had the grilled shrimp and scallops combo with a baked potato and green beans. Everything was excellent. Definitely recommend!!

They had no tomatoes. Even after they didn't have what we wanted. I asked a manager if we could order shrimp cocktail and a perch sandwich and was simply told NO. They walleye was completely full of bones. The French onion soup was the worst I have had. The calamari was served cold. The clam strips were fine.My son said his perch and frog legs were good. The best thing I had was a piece of dinner bread that they charged me extra for. I expect alot more for how expensive this was. I will never come back. This place has went extremely down hill.

It's beautiful inside, the servers and staff are attentive and helpful, and the food is always very good. For example, my client ordered the Blackened Shrimp Alfredo and the shrimp were carefully placed to be standing up in a circle which was so much more attractive than if they were simply laying in the pasta and sauce. I also appreciate the convenient location off of 475 and the large parking lot.

I was disappointed in the lack of European wines but found an Italian on the last bottle list. It was $150 but I was desperate. Unfortunately, our server didn't come back for 15 min to take our order and then when she finally delivered it, she broke the cork because she didn't screw down far enough. Alcohol is a big money maker yet we sat for 40 minutes before it was poured. The food was the main problem. Not only a super slow kitchen but it was then served refrigerator cold. Everything. Fish, steak, green beans, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, even the plate was frigid. So we sent it back and instead of preparing a new plate, they tried to just warm it and brought it back cold..again. This was a $75 plate of food. At this point, we were concerned about food safety and said to just forget it. Luckily we had bread with our wine but they never offered anything else other than not charging us for the food which we didn't even touch. This was two hours after our arrival so went home hungry after paying for the wine. To top it off, there was a loud, raging fight in the bar area that we heard across the restaurant so we waited until they had left, concerned about a physical altercation. The mashed potatoes are real potatoes, not boxed. My husband had the chicken fajita wrap. He says it was hot and juicy, contents were well seasoned and well cooked. Fries were crispy without being burnt. Our server was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. We were here in December, only complaint is I don't think the bathrooms are heated, it was very chilly in there. One other thing to note, if you order root beer, it is birch beer and is very sweet (for my own future knowledge, I don't care for it).

Ambiance was dark- like a bar-type of atmosphere- which didn't matter because it was an overcast day in Ohio. It was also more of a sports var as there were lots of TV screens. I ordered a chicken caprese sandwich after being assured by my server that it was one of her favorites. It came with delicious French Fries. The sandwich was good but not amazing. For my taste, the chicken was a bit overcooked, but better than undercooked. The fries were delicious, even though I only ate a few. Before I went to college, I worked in a nice seafood restaurant and our nightly task was to make sure ketchup containers were full. Therefore, I noticed that my container of ketchup was down to the last few squirts. Never a good thing/sound! Overall, not a bad place to eat, but nothing worth going out of your way to try, imo. I see that others gave it better reviews, so this is my experience, Pictures below...
