Perch sandwich with sweet potato fries and a roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and a side of steamed broccoli.

We've driven by this place countless times but finally decided to stop in on a Sunday afternoon, after my husband was tipped off about their roast beef/gravy sandwich. Trapperz had a Sunday afternoon regulars and family kind of vibe and was fairly busy. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was all very good. Great local place for a casual meal. Although I didn't take advantage this time , I appreciate the option of adding an extra piece of perch, or other items onto a meal.

Food was good! Fried pickles were nice and crispy and the ranch is realllly good! Their drinks taste good and decent prices. The burger was pretty good. Fries were tasty and crispy too.

Tough one to write. I been wanting to check this spot out because one of my yelp buddies likes it quite a bit. Its about 30 minutes from my place so I'm coming a bit out the way. When we arrived no one greeted us. I was very surprised how out of the way this spot is and that it appears to be more bar than restaurant. Now I had to hit the bathroom first so I wasn't thinking about any of that much. Come out n my sweetie is sitting at the bar and I can tell something was off. He said the guy that was standing by the door decided to come sit next to him n kept staring at him. Don't know if he was a bouncer or what. Lady behind the bar was rude to him he says. He says he's uncomfortable. I say if we need to leave let's go. Now this is my birthday so he's trying to chill out. Tells me sit n feel what I think of the vibe. Look around. Its Sunday 8pm and its all white folks probably over 30 crowd. Tell the bartender its my birthday and get an oh OK. Now we had been out n about all day and every spot offered something. First drink free, free dessert, 10% off. Something. All I got was oh OK. Now I'm not feeling it but stuck it out because my man was kind enough to be my driver all day while I picked n chose where I went. Ordered perch dinner. He got some kind of steak medium. It came well done. He had to send it back. The wedding soup that came with the dinners was good. I wanted wine and only barefoot n sutter home available. Perch dinner was perfectly acceptable. Nothing great. I mentioned to the bartender that I was still hoping to find some birthday cake before the end of the day. I got silence. No offer of dessert or anything for the birthday. The guy next to me told me happy birthday n off we went. My man feels like there was some racial overtones and I do trust his judgment as he is not one to trip out over nothing. Like I told him we should have left when he said he was uncomfortable. I felt it was just crappy service but was not present for what he encountered.. Either way, sucky way to end my birthday. Won't be returning

I don't usually write reviews, but I think this place deserves one. Driving by the restaurant this isn't a place I'd ever think to stop, but I saw some reviews here plus the menu and thought to give it a try. When we came in, it wasn't too clear how we were supposed to be seated, but honestly we only had to wait a couple minutes for someone to take us to a table, it was really busy at the time. The Trapperz sampler appetizer really had one of everything on it including fried mushrooms which I thought was pretty unique. The lemonade and all the sauces taste like they're house-made, I can't tell if that's the case but either way it was all really good. (The Buffalo Mac n cheese is the way to go y'all) If you like a country-bar sort of vibe, this is the place for you. I got a southern feel from this place which is nice coming from the city to eat here. If you don't like crowded (maybe it was just busy when we went, but) country sort of places, it might not be for you. I personally thought the staff were really nice and brought out food more quickly than I would've expected.

Seafood platter was good, frog legs & perch were my favorite. Slaw was excellent. Clean restrooms & friendly staff

Philly cheese steak and fries

After a few years and now having a new owner figured we would give them a try again. Had the turtle soup which was much better than the last time I was there. I also had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. The wife had the Philly cheese steak and fries. Everything tasted great and the service was really good too.

Husband took me here for an informal birthday dinner. We both had king crab legs - a generous portion and excellent! Some of the best we've had anywhere!! Coleslaw was forgettable, but really not needed alongside the big portion of crab legs. Waitress Cammie was very good. When she found it was my birthday, she comped a bacon-Carmel sundae. Yummy too!

The Mexican is amazing and authentic. You can tell the guacamole is made fresh and will make you want to come back for more.

Harbor Hook and Grille - Tuna Poke Bowl

Harbor Hook and Grille

Location, location, location! Located near a hot fishing spot, you'd expect a sea fare and that's…read morewhat Harbor Hook has. Not only Great Lakes fish but also ocean poke and calamari. This is not the type of restaurant that you'd expect in a coastal fishing village. My four star rating is based on the above and value. As pictured, the cuban sandwich and onion rings. I prefer battered rings, but these were breaded and seasoned. They were the best breaded rings i've ever had. The cuban sandwich was traditional with ham, pulled pork, cheese and pickles. It wasn't pressed, but that didn't affect the taste, just the appearance. The servers were very attentive and refilled my iced tea three times. Very clean eating area and restroom.

We chose Habor Hook & Grille. This restaurant sits right across the street from the harbor, hence part of the name, and the food pics looked appealing. It was almost 9pm on a Tuesday night, so there weren't many people. It was rather dark when we entered, so I inquired if it was too late to get dinner and we were told the restaurant was serving until 10pm. The restaurant and bar area was a large open area with very high ceilings. There is an outdoor area for seating and what looked like a bar area as well. I asked about daily specials and our server told us there weren't any due to the Harbor Hook & Grille just implemented a new menu with several new offerings. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the Calamari appetizer (served with a thicker marinara sauce), the Harbor Cubano sandwich with fries, and the Tuna Poke Bowl. Tha Calamari was good, but could've used some additional seasoning as it was somewhat bland. The Harbor Cubano sandwich was also good - roasted pork, sliced ham, Swiss cheese, dill pickles, and mustard. There wasn't much mustard if any, so our server offered any of their sauces - a garlic aioli was selected. This sandwich was served with fries. I am not sure if it was because we arrived so late or what may have happened, but these fries were somewhat mushy and limp. They may have been sitting for a while or undercooked. The Tuna Poke Bowl, in my opinion, was the highlight of our food selections. The flavor of the tuna, cucumber, carrots, radishes, and pickled onions were topped with a spicy sauce that paired very well with this dish. All-in-all a decent dining experience. I would've gone with 3.5 stars if available in Yelp! scoring.

Fried oysters were inedible; I asked for them to be removed from the bill and the server said "aw…read morewell how about a box?" I said, no they are inedible, we do not want to eat them. She said it's their policy to never refund food. I heard the discussion she had with the bar manager and she didn't try to help us, they both basically talked bad about us and the manager refused to take it off. About 30 minutes later, when she brought our bill, she said they would substitute them for another appetizer to go. So we did that. The place is deceiving from the outside. It looks like a nice spot, but inside it's more like a dive bar with regulars screaming at golf on tv. Service was slow and mediocre. We ordered some appetizers and side salads but were there for over an hour because she rarely ever came back to our table. It took 46 minutes to get our bill. The Bosticks were alright. Crispy on the outside. Tasted kinda sweet to me though, so they weren't my favorite. I didn't try the onion rings because the batter looked gross. Side salad with creamy Italian dressing was fine. Fries were thick but tasted ok, not very crispy. Would not ever come back or recommend.

Chateau Louise - Fried pickles. They use a really funky pickle that I suspect is home made, and it's perfectly complimented by the cracker like fried batter.
