This review is for donuts only. It's also for takeout only. We picked up donuts to-go around 11:45 am on Sunday. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The tables looked spaced out, but not 6 feet apart. We got 3 donuts. Here's what we got, in order of my preference: - Johnny Appleseed ($1.845): the apple butter filling was good - Plain Jane ($1.00): your basic glazed donut - Dirty Chai Dancing ($1.952): the chai glaze didn't have much of a chai taste, but it was good; it only came with two chocolate-covered espresso beans though The donuts were freshly fried and verrrrrrry oily. We all felt like we needed to eat a salad afterward to counteract the fried-ness. They donuts were good, but not the best donuts we've ever had. The host explained that the donut prices, except for the Plain Jane, correspond with a year. Dirty Chai Dancing, for instance, costs $1.952, which is the year Patrick Swayze, one of the stars of the movie "Dirty Dancing," was born. They were pretty reasonably priced. We would love to go back to try their actual brunch menu. read more

I finally got to try BeetleCat, I was so excited! They brought back their $1.50 Oyster happy hour, but it's only from 4-5pm. The oysters were super fresh. I tried the Royal Hawaiian drink, it's a gin drink that was super refreshing. For my main dish, I tried the mussels! It was in a kimchi-based sauce and came with a nice slice of bread. Everything was delicious and came out super fast. Our servers were very helpful and explained everything on the menu, even giving us their favorite selections. read more

This is a really great venue for a Sunday brunch! I feel like it is on the pricier side though, and the portions are a bit small. I opted for the blue crab omelette, and was still hungry after eating the entire thing. The donuts are average, they are all really just plain donuts with glazed topping or cookie crumbles on top. Our server was outstanding, they have a cute outdoor patio, and there is even a den downstairs with a full bar. I would definitely return, but would probably eat before I go, so I will not be starving. read more

1. Service is A+ 2. Lobster roll A+ 3. Great vibe and service. 4. Rotating dishes are always good 5. Oysters are amazing and I don't eat them read more

Great food overall! The brunch menu is very limited and if you're not a sweets person, it may not be the best time to come. I had the lobster roll ($42) and it was smaller than expected but delicious. I wasn't too fond of the large amount of sauce they added on top, so next time I would probably order it on the side because it made the sandwich very messy. Looking forward to retuning for dinner in the near future. Didn't get a picture of the donut we tried but it was fresh and very good. read more

My daughter woke me up this morning excited that she was able to get us a lunch reservation to Beetle Cat . She was advised that they had the best lobster rolls in Atlanta. When I walked in I immediately felt good vibes and good ambience. The staff was happy and so were the customers! Our lobster roll and fries were juicy, tender and savory! The rumor was right! We order pumpkin latte and s'mores donuts they were really delicious Our waiter Jarold was really super customer oriented for us! General Manager Samantha was hands on and a perfect Host to all customers! We are coming back!! read more

The seafood here was immaculate, the customer service was awesome. I stopped by with some friends after work for some drinks and appetizers. The staff was very friendly and the food was all fresh and good. The wings were a bit of a surprise. Reading is fundamental. Ended up getting them with the numbing rub. It serves it's purpose. Lol but they cooked the wings very good but I will try another flavor next time as it impacted everything I tried after that. read more

I've been here twice in a week so you know what that means. Love the friendly services, vibes, outdoor patio, foods & drinks here! Def added as one of my favorites @ Inman Park. Love this area as well!! There are so many things to do, people to see & restaurants to try! I always parked @ the parking garage behind the building (this restaurant do not validate unfortunately). There are street parkings, if available, as well. We ordered: - Tuna Tartare - Green beans - Pork dumplings - Mussels - Lobster roll - Collar - Snapper - Baked oysters - Raw oysters - Coconut pie - Dark chocolate pudding cake My personal favorites were: Tuna Tartare (Nam yum, Thai herbs, sesame cracker) Prob. One of the best tuna tartares I've had so far, both the collar & snapper tasted pretty good as well, COCONUT PIE is to die for!! A lot of people hyped about the lobster roll so I guess my expectation was high. It wasn't bad & I liked the Butterly bread but would I crave & come back for it?! Prob. Not. But you know what I'll definitely come back for?! THAT COCONUT PIE!!!! Did I mentioned coconut pie yet?! Yeah... it's THAT'S GOOOD! Overall, most of the foods & drinks are pretty good here so I'll prob. Visit often when I'm in the area! read more

Beautiful restaurant with elegant ambience, waitress provided great recommendations and made birthday celebration very special with ice cream dish and keepsakes. Definitely on the pricier side for portion size, but worth it for a special occasion. Fish dip was very dry and underwhelming (although the accompanying fried crackers were excellent) 10/10 recommend the grilled oysters, every bite was perfection. Coconut fish soup was also good, mild flavors but fish was cooked perfectly. read more

Great service and ambiance! I came here from about 3:45 on a Saturday afternoon only to find out dinner starts at four so we came back about 15 minutes later and dinner did not disappoint. We started with a smoked fish dip top with trout, roe and served with homemade crackers that put saltines to shame. It's funny because the menu says saltines but once you buy these, you know that they are not saltines. They are way better the baked ice there's were delicious as well. We couldn't get enough For my entrée I went with the infamous lobster roll. This was topped with meaty chunks of lobster on a toasted buttery roll. This is definitely a splurge item as the lobster roll is about $40. However it was stacked with lobster big pieces at that. We washed it all down with some beers. I will definitely come back here during the oyster happy hour. read more

if I lived in Atlanta, this is where I'd come for my girls nights. The food is FANTASTIC, a must try

My brother loves BeetleCat , so we usually come for his birthday. We had an early dinner in Jan 2, and it wasn't too busy at all. They were accommodating of our two kids, with a kids menu and crayons. Unfortunately, they didn't have the chicken from the kids menu so we opted for grilled cheese and fries. Giant portions for a kid!! Oysters were good, salt and pepper squid could have had less filler veggies. The fish dip was a favorite, especially with the flavorful saltines. Almost everyone at the table had the lobster roll, chock full of lobster. It's one of my favorites because I prefer a hot lobster roll in the general. Fries are greasy and tasty too. Fish and chips were also a hit. But PLEASE can we get some bigger plates. The tiny plates are super annoying! read more

One word: Awesome. I was skeptical at first because I felt the menu looked limited. But glad we went anyways. Had salmon crudo, ceviche and fried bread as appetizers. All were super fresh and tasted amazing. We ended up ordering another fried bread because it was so good. For dinner, we had the collar, larger the. Expected and cooked perfectly. The fish sandwich, very juicy and had a kick. Awesome. And I got the stew which was delicious. Loved the hint of coconut and the juice was so flavorful. Our server was amazing as well. Very patient and walked us through the menu. Can't recall his name, should have done this last night, but it was Dante, Davian, something close. Also the look of the place is deceiving. It is larger then initially thought. I would definitely recommend coming here. read more

Oysters and lobster roll fantastic. Service was great. However, we were seated under the speaker playing loud-ish music, right next to a couple of guys engaged in constant conversation at a pretty high volume. My husband and I could not have a conversation without shouting. It was super awkward. We came in after 8 on a Tuesday with plenty of open tables. Not sure why we had to be seated so close. Ruined our evening. read more

The food are all presentable, well made, delicious! I think we ordered 2-3 of everything and plenty of food for a party of 12 people. I enjoyed the wings so crispy and flavorful. As well as coconut bread appetizer, curry, mussels, shrimps, and poke. Food came out fast and hot. I enjoyed my cocktail as well. On a Monday night this place is not too busy which is good for us since we are a semi large party. The ambiance is nice. I want to check out the outside/top/bottom floor next time. I heard its nice. server was great. Can't remember her name unfortunately. I love some yummy seafood and entrees with the Asian kick. I will be back when I'm in the area again. read more

If I wasn't meeting people at BeetleCat I probably would have nixed it as an option as I am NOT an oyster fan and they have no salmon on the menu (and this place is also pretty pricy)... But since I wasn't the one to make the decisions, I went with the flow and doctored menu items to my liking. The table ordered drinks and oysters - I did not partake. Then entrees were ordered and I got the whole roasted fish and the collar, but both NAKED (no sauces, sides, etc)... And I am THRILLED I got both because the portions (for me) were perfect and... I have to admit, both entrees were DELICIOUS and I absolutely licked my plate clean! Everyone else with me at this dinner were head over heels in love with their meals too - my husband claims that the lobster roll is the BEST he has ever had! So while I would have never picked this place myself, I am glad I went and I would absolutely go back again and order the same thing. The only reason why I took off a star is because the service was a touch slow and there is no salmon! Oh and the prices are steep. read more

We came here for the first time on a Saturday and was not disappointed. Place is really nice and casual (but some do dress up). Parking is at the back (private parking) and they do not validate Their wine selection is great. I am a Chardonnay person but tried their Xarelo and really liked it. We love the collar and shrimp and rice. The wings are also amazing and remained crispy for a long time! A good place to visit if you love booze and seafood which we do! read more

Recently went back with my wife and daughter. There are some updates to the menu and drinks, but nothing too major. Biggest change I noticed is that the food portions are about half the size of what they were even maybe 3-4 months ago. The prices are the same, a bit pricey IMO. Things taste the same though. read more

I've only been here for dinner, but their brunch did not disappoint. I would suggest to make reservations if you can since they do get busy especially on the weekends. From the hostess to our server, their service was exceptional. Our table shared 2 donuts - apple bourbon glaze and cookie monsta. Both were delicious but I preferred the apple bourbon glaze best. For entrees, I ordered the blue crab omelette and was served open faced. It had big chunks of fresh crabs topped with arugula and sauce. I definitely recommend Beetlecat for brunch and lunch and dinner. read more

Brunch at BeetleCat is a whole vibe. The New England interior creates an airy and bright atmosphere that's executed beautifully. From the moment we arrived, the hostess greeted us with a smile and was so friendly and funny. Our waitress, Lei, was also a delight, she was efficient and attentive. The food was superb. I ordered the lobster roll, which was packed with flavor, and the fries were delicious. My friend had the burger, which she found slightly salty but still delicious. And let's not forget about the donuts - they were decadent, yummy, and filling. One is more than enough for a satisfying treat. Overall, dining at BeetleCat was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it if you're in search of a fantastic brunch spot with a great vibe. read more

It's date night! This week we went to the highlands area and tried BeetleCat. It had a nautical vibe but the music was more groovy and Austin Powerish! Dark and cozy atmosphere. I had the Burn the Boat cocktail which had a little spicy kick to it. I'm not mad at it! The baked oysters were very good and hubby liked the Steelhead trout that came with a very tasty creamy sauce! Even the roasted turnips were a treat! Our server Steven was very attentive! We really like coming to this area of town and will be back when the weather is better. Give them a try y'all! read more

First time I've eaten here in at least two years. I'd advise to stick to the bar downstairs. Maybe an appetizer. Late nights used to be the move down there, but times may have changed who can say? The baked oysters were delicious. Mussels were nice. Ask for extra bread because the sauce deserves to be fully consumed. A $45 lobster sandwich (doesn't come on a traditional roll) with 14 french fries on a baby plate felt disrespectful. My extra bread came long after the mussel sauce was cold :/ Food was tasty, but I live in Atlanta...of course prices don't correlate with the level of service ‍ read more

Lobster roll was good, but small. Service was excellent. Scallops, octopus and squid were very good.

I love the food and ambience at BeetleCat. Would definitely recommend for a date spot, singles, or hanging with the crew.

Perfect lunch or dinner spot! I REALLLLLY love how informative our server was. He was able to explain everything on the menu and what it meant and he may just have great marketing skills or he just be on his s#*t but either way after he was done I was ready to buy everything on the menu lol. But despite wanting everything on the menu we just purchased the baked oysters and salt and pepper calamari for starters and I must say they were both really good! This was my first time trying and oyster and I was extremely impressed. But I ended up ordering the lobster roll and it was pretty delicious. If you are EXTREMELY hungry I would definitely suggest ordering an appetizer with the lobster roll only because I was able to finish everything on my plate. This place is definitely a vibe and somewhere worth trying for sure! And just note, they do not validate tickets if you are parked in the deck but parking wasn't crazy expensive so that's a plus too!!! read more

Good ambience. Amazing service. Oysters were delicious. My Collar was one of the best seafood meals I've ever eaten in Atlanta.

First time coming here. Never even heard of this place. Fantastic food. Good vibe. Laid back. I was downstairs and the music was on point. If I had to say one bad thing it would be the bartender. I know everyone was having fun at the bar, but he had some type of fan with him and every time he opened it up it made a LOUD POP. Scared the hell out of me EVERY TIME. read more

I'd never been to Inman Park before but heard good things about this brunch spot and wanted to try it. Street parking is a little hard to find; we paid to park in a garage that was half a block from the restaurant. The area is super cute and I definitely want to explore more...but onto the review! The restaurant has such a fun and unique feel. I loved the upstairs, but the downstairs "den" area with a second bar is amazing. We were seated outside. Service was quick and very friendly. Be forwarded that "donut brunch" may start at 10 am on the weekends but apparently in GA they cannot serve you drinks until 11 am. We arrived around 10:50 am so the waitress just made us wait 10 mins for our cocktails. This restaurant is huge so getting a table was not a problem. Onto the drinks/food. I ordered a regular mimosa and it was strong and tasty. We split the unicorn donut, which is the one with cookie dough in the middle. It was so fresh and light and tasty. Super good. I got the coconut yogurt and a side of scrambled eggs for my main course. The yogurt was really yummy -- it had bananas and cacao nibs and coconut on top. But the amount of yogurt they gave me was kinda laughable. It was like a light smear of yogurt, almost like they forgot to put the rest in the bowl. Oh well, maybe this was just an error. I am glad I got the side eggs otherwise it would not have been enough. Eggs were wet and cooked perfectly. My bf got the pork hash which was a huge quantity and very delicious. Anyway, overall this is a very fun brunch spot with strong drinks, cute atmosphere and delicious food. read more

I feel lukewarm about Beetlecat upon visiting for the first time on Friday night. It has a prominent presence in Inman Park (large sign and buzzy patio space), and my friend and I had never been, so we decided to try it for dinner for a girls night. We ordered the lobster roll ($39) and the Moqueca stew to share - both were fine but not spectacular. Most of the tables around us were ordering oysters, so I suspect this (and the donut brunch) is the main attraction of Beetlecat. Because I feel "meh" about both, I'm not sure I'll be back. Food quality and service were fine otherwise. Other tips: -If you're like me and enjoy seafood more as a vehicle for other spices and flavors, you may find that Beetlecat's menu is not versatile enough / the flavor profiles are limited. -I found the serving plates to be small and awkwardly shaped. Ask for an extra plate if you're sharing! read more

First time at Beetlecat and I can't wait to go back! We sat in The Den downstairs, which has more of a 70s lounge vibe, while upstairs is more nautical themed. Lee celebrated a friend who just eloped and our server was so kind, fun, and knowledgeable of the menu. He offered us suggestions for gluten free options, or how many items could be gluten free. Now for the food - everything was delicious!! I got the moqueca stew and it was incredible. It reminded me of a Thai curry with the coconut and cashew flavors, but with fish and shrimp. One friend got the coconut fried rice, another got the mussels, and another got the burger (forgot a photo). All raving reviews! We also shared a round of oysters and oyster back shots. We're planning to go back soon for their oyster happy hour! I got the salty dog cocktail which was amazing as well. 10/10 meal and experience - can't wait to go back! read more
