We live on an acre of land and the side yard is not an area most commonly used. In the process of yard work we noticed bees coming from the bottom of our shed. It was important to me to have the bees removed in preparation for an upcoming event, but not to have them harmed understand a bees importance. I called and made several inquiries to bee removal companies, but a few would not make the commute to Ramona and others said they were unable to take more bees at this time. I was referred to Bee Nice Wildlife and I couldn't have been more satisfied with the outcome. I coordinated with James explaining I had no knowledge of the length of time to bees have resided in our shed, but also explained that they appear to be coming underneath our shed. James explained how bees get under the sheds and it makes a prime home for a colony of bees. James explained that the floor of the shed would have to be cut and how best to fill the base after the extraction of the bees. James was able to immediately schedule us in to remove the bees. On our appointment James and Allison both were fully prepared with all the tools they may possibly need. I sat inside my house while they worked. James and Allison both were calm and easy going answering all my questions before and after. Each step of the way they both were very transparent with the process and the costs. They explained that a small colony could have 30k bees or a large colony up to 100k. Our colony was a large colony totaling to approximately 80-100k. However, James and Allison thoroughly collected the most bees possible, cleaned the remaining combs, and any spilt honey to prevent a new colony from moving in or rodents seeking the honey. They even were able to share a honey comb with us from the hive which contained rich pure honey! James and Allison's work was excellent and highly recommendable. This is my first time using Bee Nice. I called with a semi-emergency (a Barn owl box) invasion by bees. I live on the edge of Tecolate Canyon. I was worried that the newly inhabited box had young inside. Spencer and friend showed up at the first opportunity in order to efficiently and carefully vacuum all the bees from a box perched 15 feet above ground. I was really happy to find out that the box only contained unhatched eggs (4) of which I was promised a photo.... but was then disappointed that Spencer only took video and couldn't send it to me via internet. Oh well, a minor point I guess. They did a very good job otherwise. Update 6 hours later: James followed up later today and sent me the video of inside the owl box... 5 eggs are looking good amid a rat graveyard of bodies and bones ! Thanks guys ! The short version: James is absolutely great and solved my bee problem by saving them! Long version: I had a hive growing in my backyard for a long time that my family had just left alone. Eventually as the hive started to grow the bees became more adventurous in getting closer to the house to the point that we figured we would have to do something about it before it became a dangerous situation. I researched a lot of different bee relocaters that would save them and requested different quotes. When I called James he gave the most competitive quote against the others and proposed a plan that fit my situation. James came by quickly and set up a trap and new box hive for the bees. I wasn't in a hurry to have the bees out and wanted to do the process as naturally as possible. After about a month I noticed the bees swarming and getting rowdy again. Bees are endangered species! Exterminators will spray poison and will not bother to clean up for any dead bees, wax or honey. Any leftover honey will attract more bees so if you are exterminating bees, they will come back! We noticed a bee swarm forming in a hole on an exterior wall, and they were making there way into the building. We are so glad to have found them on Yelp! They do not EXTERMINATE (which always runs the risk of having the bees come back). They holistically take them alive and care for them in their farm. James is a scam artist, do not trust his word or his guarantee. He charged me $500 to remove bees from my neighbors yard and told me he would provide us a 1 year guarantee that the bees would not return. After he came out to do the service, there were still many bees and he told me it would take about 2 weeks for all the bees to be gone. 2 weeks passed and the bees were still there, I called him and he came out and said that he didnt see any, when I have video proof that the bees were still there. I asked him to come out again and he said it was a tree that I had near the area that was attracting bees, but that they were just worker bees and there was no hive. I cut the tree down and waited 2 weeks, the bees were STILL flying into the same hive. I called him again and he came and sprayed an anti pheromone treatment and said the bees should die within 2 weeks. The bees were still there, now 3 months after I had this service done, he is stating that there is a new hive 20 feet from where he did the work (the yard doesnt even extend that far) and that this is a "new" hive. Just so that he doesnt have to honor his guarantee. After weeks of me contacting him and barely getting any response, he decided to refund me $200 of the $500 we paid him for a job that was NEVER completed. I have 2 small children that have not been able to play outside because we believed that James was telling us the truth, now we are out $300 and have to find someone else to do the job the right way. read more

First we talked with James who then contracted us out to Spencer who took $425.00 the day he came to our home. He claimed that it didn't look bad as far as mice in the attic was concerned. Probably not many up there. He then put little screens near, (not covering), two possible entryways and left...total time 45 minutes...saying he'd be back in a couple of days. No show, cancellation, and after a week and a half of no contact finally came by with a new trap and left...total time 15 minutes. The trap he left is useless...too big to hold the mice. Called James to report our dissatisfaction with how we're being mismanaged and ignored and he admitted that Spencer should "do the right thing" and reimburse some of our money....still no response from Spencer.
