Dan found this box buried in the canyon.

Dan is the guy to call if you need a bee hive removed! He responded quickly and was professional in removing the bees. I highly recommend his services to anyone in need of controlling bee activity.

Well if Dan and his team are good enough for Balboa Park they are way better than me. I had been romping around Balboa Park and happened upon a ginormous beehive, so every few days I would stop by and see how they where doing. This went on for over a year, I saw them and would take photos and video's. I really enjoy bees they are just so amazing and You can let your imagination go wild and they become scary even. I took footage over the year but as luck would have it. I came by with my pups just in time to see Dan and the team remove the bees to a better place. What are the odds. I tip my hat to you Dan, they where fun to watch on the trail just behind the Tennis courts, in Balboa Park.

Bee Man Dan was highly recommended by our communities Facebook group. He's from Escondido. We contacted several beekeepers and he seemed to be the most personable and responsive with the best price for the service. All correspondence was through text after giving him a call and receiving an automatic text back. Pretty convenient as we sent over pictures and got some advice before asking him to come take a look and paid him for his services. We were definitely FOR the idea of saving the bees and rehabilitating them, that's why we are okay with paying for a beekeeper. We had a swarm of bees come in, that landed on our young avocado's tree trunk (about an inch in diameter and only 6ft tall), Tuesday afternoon. The swarm was about 4ft above the ground. Was told that it will most likely go away in a few days. We waited for a week before calling a beekeeper for prices. When they were removed, we saw some honeycombs forming, meaning they must have ran out of time to find a new hive and was starting one on our little tree. Pretty rare, but it happens, I guess. We got several other offers for cheaper (they didn't seem as reliable) and many no pickup calls. We decided to go with Dan by 2pm in the afternoon and he told us he'll see if his guys (bee wranglers) finish up early and can stop by later today or will definitely tomorrow morning at 9am. A Bee Wrangler (his name was Hutch), came in the morning, on time (early), and removed the bees within the hour! He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions! Wow, it was so amazing to watch the whole process, it was so finesse!

Highly recommend Bee Man Dan and crew! We had bees take up residence in an old spa several years ago and when it came time to clean up the space, I knew without a doubt that I wanted them safely relocated and not harmed. Dan came highly recommended so I reached out and was able to get scheduled within the week. Silas came out and boy, is he a wealth of information!! My husband and I learned so much. To our surprise, the colony was no longer active (bees had absconded) at some point since the call but Silas still cleaned up the combs and advised us on what to do to keep new bees from arriving. Many thanks to Silas for his help and the knowledge he so freely shared with us. Save those bees and call Bee Man Dan!

Bee Man Dan is The Man! After waking up to two large hives of bees in my backyard I reached out to Dan via text and got a reply almost immediately. Dan went above and beyond to help me with my problem and was an absolute pleasure to speak with. I can not recommend him highly enough, thank you Dan.

PEGGY H (Trabuco Canyon, CA): I was gone for vacation for about 2 weeks, when I came home to a large beehive (about the size of a soccer ball) attached to my roof! I immediately began researching and contacting many bee companies within the area, and We Save Bees/Bee Man Dan were the fastest to respond. It was evident right away that all the employees in these companies would be very accommodating and patient with me during this stressful time. I first spoke to Loree on the phone where I stated my problem and concerns. By sending her pictures via text, I got my estimate right away. Then the next day, someone already came to solve the problem! They took down the hive really quickly, and they reassured me that the bees would be put in a good home. The next day, they came by once again to do a thermal scan of the roof area to make sure there was not another hive forming inside my roof (thank goodness there wasn't!) Overall, they were such a great company to work with! I highly recommend their services if anyone else has a bee problem. Their service was so accommodating and speedy.

We used Bee Man Dan last year as we had a few bees in the attic and around one corner of the house. Dan and his team came and took a look, built a contraption on the side of the house (strange wire cone and hanging box) and we waited. we ended up having two hives settle down with only a few swarms occurring which was fine- as long as you didnt panic! My wife trained as a bee keeper in the UK to help teach of their importance to the ecosystems so we were very happy to have them rehoused.

    Hive in the original location.

I've had a hive in my owl box up in a tree for the last 3 years. I have a small avocado farm and kept them for pollination. I needed the hive moved to another location on the property (the tree they were in needed to come down). It is an established hive and so the box would be very heavy (they can be over 100lbs). Dan rigged up a pulley and lowered the hive gently into a cart and moved it to the other location. He then left a capture box in the original location since about 20% of the hive were out foraging. I was able to move the capture box myself 2 days later at nighttime (the bees are surprisingly calm at night). The next day many bees came back, estimated around 3,000 (maybe 10% of the hive) . I called Dan and he explained that this was normal. The problem was, these bees were not so happy and I couldn't get with 50 feet of the old area with getting harassed. I texted Dan and he send someone over to handle the remaining bees. Since he considered this to be somewhat dangerous he got someone to our house even though it was the 4th of July! I would recommend Dan to anyone and will use him for any future bee needs.

I had mentioned to Darla to skip service because of this, and will resume when ready. But just noticed that I have been continued to be auto charged ($87 each time) good thing I looked as I was getting ripped off. Very surprised of this as I'd mentioned this for multiple months to get ahead of this situation and give HomeShield as much communication as possible. It is crappy feeling to have my money taken like that I called in and spoke with Luca and he was helpful in telling me that I'll get credited back for 2 months, and will have CC on hold so not charged. That made me feel good. He said I'd get confirmation email in a few minutes but it's been nearly 2 hours and no email and my CC still showing no credit/refund. They are happy to auto charge me, but cannot accommodate their current customers with the ability to pause service, causing additional headache for me I'll see if there is anything worth updating if/when it happens. otherwise will go straight to credit card company and dispute charges...I don't have time to keep going back to HomeShield to check if they did their work right Still considering if I will continue with HomeShield once I need service again; but I figure I'll have better choice when that time comes UPDATE: after reading other review of not being able to cancel service, I called right back and spoke with Patricia. I asked to cancel service, but she could not do so and had to transfer me to other department and ask me to hold for "2 minutes". After 2 minutes, she came back on saying no one could talk to me to cancel. Seriously?? I asked if I can get her my verbal authorization to relay my cancel message to someone. No can do, so I have to wait for someone to call me back so I can say "CANCEL" really frustrated now...

From the moment he arrived for our backyard inspection, it was clear we were in the hands of a seasoned professional. He was thorough, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable -- exactly what we needed when we discovered we actually had a squirrel situation on our hands (not a gopher, which is what a wildlife removal company told us the day before). We hired them for rodent control, and the owner, Jeff (fairly speaking is a pro), never clearly explained that the service was a one-year subscription. After the fact, they told me over the phone that rodent control is "never a one-time service," which I can understand -- but that is not the same as agreeing to a one-year contract. At no point was this clearly disclosed to us upfront. Later on, we started getting billed for additional visits, which came as a complete surprise. When I questioned this, they insisted that everything was in a contract. The problem is -- I never saw or signed any contract. I only received a copy of this so-called agreement a full year later via email. Their earlier invoices also did not mention any long-term commitment or subscription terms. Despite my strong objections and explaining the situation, they refused to adjust or waive any of these unexpected charges. This feels very misleading and unprofessional. I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to get everything in writing upfront, review every detail carefully, and do not rely on verbal explanations. Transparency was completely lacking in our case. Very frustrating experience overall.
