Nixtermite has been in business for 29 years, and their price was very competitive. I interviewed three companies to fumigate my home. This company was, by far, the best. What put them over the top was their four-year guarantee on fumigation (offered for a limited time). The other two companies offered one- or two-year guarantees. Customer service was outstanding from the owner, Chris, to his helpful office staff, to his on-site workers. The company supplied a home preparation checklist, which was very helpful. They offered a free lockbox, which was convenient. The theft deterrents gave us peace of mind while the property was being tented. On the day of the tenting, the technician was kind enough to check that my prep work was done correctly. I noticed after the tenting that the crew double-bagged items I had missed. Outside, my property was left clean. Thank you, Nixtermite! read more

Reasonable price, easy communication. The scheduling/support staff was great. Highly recommended.

Excellent experience with Nixtermite from start to finish. They scheduled the inspection and fumigation promptly and were incredibly communicative throughout the entire process--even responding to questions during off hours. Everyone I interacted with was fantastic. From Chris, who came out to the property, to every person I spoke with over the phone or through text, the team was professional, helpful, and extremely responsive. At one point they even went back out to the property to personally educate my tenants on what to expect and what they needed to do to prepare, which I really appreciated. When I had concerns about a subcontractor involved in the process, they addressed everything immediately and made sure my concerns were handled. They were also the only fumigation company I spoke with that offered a theft-deterrent option while the property was tented, which gave me peace of mind. On top of that, they gave me the best price right out of the gate. Great company to work with--I would absolutely recommend Nixtermite. read more

We needed to tent for termites before doing some repairs to our small condo buidling in Imperial Beach. Nixtermite came through and made the experience as smooth as possible. They were accessible before, during and after. After Chris came to make the initial assessment, and gave us a reasonable price. Cody came by early on a Saturday and gave us clear instructions so we could prepare and know what to expect. Melissa helped coordinate with the crew, who arrived on time, and worked with astonishing speed and skill to set up the tent on a complicated structure. When I had some questions after the fact, Chis gave a prompt and thorough answers. Thank you! read more

Nixtermite - Tenting for termites in our condominium builiding in Imperial Beach. Our building looked an installation by the artist Christo! - Pest Control Near Me - Bonita, California

Our inspector, Travis, did an amazing job. He was honest, thorough, and truly trustworthy. We suspected termites after finding termite droppings in our garage, so he carefully inspected the area and then went around the entire house looking for any signs of wood damage or active termites. Travis determined that the droppings were old and had simply fallen or settled due to the house shifting. He assured us there was no serious wood repair needed and no need to tent or even spot treat. He provided a quote just in case we ever did want to consider repairs or in future did need spot treatment, but reassured us that the wood was still in good shape. We really appreciate his honesty and professionalism. Thank you, Travis, for giving us peace of mind! read more

Responsive management. Did quality work for all I can tell. Friendly workers. They had one glytch with the wood repair as one of their team called off. Another with a less than satisfactory performance by an office worker. They resolved both issues to my satisfaction. read more

We were disappointed in Nix Termite, due to various issues. The initial salesman was excellent and we were very satisfied with his knowledge and helpfulness.... so we booked them. We scheduled a pre-fumigation meeting and he never showed up. When we called the main office they said he no longer works there - this is when the problems began. Apparently they weren't paying attention to his calendar because no one showed up to this pre-fumigation meeting so we had to reschedule it. The second meeting date came and no one showed again... we called the office and they said the guy was running late so we waited longer. He showed up 45 minutes late with no acknowledgement or apology for being late (turns out it was the owner). Some of the information he shared with us during that meeting turned out to be incorrect, and on later dates when we called the main office to confirm timing, etc. they gave us different information. He told us to remove parts of our fence to allow for the tent, then when the third-party tenting company arrived to install the tent they told us we removed the wrong pieces of fence and they removed the correct pieces. He also told us to remove a bush in the front yard to SDG&E could access the gas meter to turn it off - later the representative from SDG&E told us we didn't need to do that (after the bush was already gone). It felt like problem after problem, and it was a very stressful experience. Every time we called the main office to ask timing questions they were very ambiguous and not very helpful with their answers. Next time we will definitely hire a different company! read more

Experience with owner Chris was so great! He gave a thorough look and helped me understand what was going on (not all termite-related). He gave me low cost or DIY solutions, and even provided his wise expertise on drain ideas and low cost remodel solutions. I was so grateful to him for taking the time to explain everything to me and really giving a good look. read more

We called Nixtermite to perform an inspection on a house we were buying. It turned out we'd called the company who had tented it two years prior when the current owners bought it, so when the inspector Travis showed up he had the whole history of what had been done before. Travis was very knowledgeable and professional, and made sure all our questions were answered before he left from the inspection. It turned out most of the damage was discovered two years prior but the prior owners had decided not to repair it. So we decided to have Nixtermite perform some spot treatments of where termites were present, and also perform the repairs from prior. Their on site crew was professional and courteous, and Daniel went the extra mile to contact us daily to let us know what was done and that everything was locked up and what time they'd be back the next day. The front office staff are great and quick to respond. Basically every interaction with Nixtermite was great. We'll be having them perform regular inspections going forward, and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone else needing termite remediation or repair. read more

Meant to leave this review two weeks ago as it's well deserved. I want to give a big thank you to Cody for all the help, just amazing customer service and I appreciate the promptness in getting all our questions answered and helping us get on schedule again. And Bernardo who has serviced our home in the past is amazing. He is very patient and knowledgeable, all our previous issues from last year have been resolved. This time he was again able to quickly determine what the issue was and advise on best way to take care of things. Just amazing service and a great company to work with. Thank you! read more

We worked with Nixtermite on both tenting fumigation of a newly purchased older home as well as preceding wood and some roof repair work from older termite damage. Travis Sr. managed the work, including the initial inspection which was the most thorough of 3 inspections done (including the initial seller's and buyer's inspections during escrow). We appreciated Travis Sr's professionalism and expertise; he was very patient in answering all our questions along the way completely and clearly; he was available at any time throughout the process. The tenting fumigation (and subterranean treatments) went very well from preparation to execution to take-down, and their costs were very fair and competitive. Nixtermite offers a very confident selection for their termite services. read more

I requested a quote and they got back to me quick with a free estimate. The gentleman was very professional and knew what he was talking about. I got a great estimate with the work that was going to be done along with a good 5yr warranty. The people who put the tents up were very professional, nice and hustled to get it done efficiently and quickly. Also when I called the office the staff was very helpful. After the tent came off a gentlemen came to spray underneath my house and was very professional as well and answered any questions and gave good suggestions. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better company with world class service, fast and efficient, definitely worth it! Thank You! read more

We recently hired NIXTermite to fumigate our house and adjacent wooden fences. This was preventative maintenance, not a house sale. Travis Stradley did the initial inspection and understood that we wanted to include our fences and eventually a neighbors shed attached to the fence. This was not a usual request. The service team from Elite Fumigation, lead by Mario, did an outstanding job tenting everything quickly and efficiently without destroying any plants outside the tented area. One glitch, a damaged gate, was resolved and repaired within a week; no charge. Thanks for making this normally difficult process less complicated. Highly recommended talking to NIXTermite for your fumigation and pest control needs. read more

Chris came out on a holiday to inspect an area we have active termites. He was incredibly helpful, didn't try to sell us a spot treatment that wouldn't be effective for what we had going on. Instead he offered me products we could buy over the counter for the time being, knowing a full tenting is something we need to do in the future. I really appreciated the honest and straightforward approach. He also communicated back with me immediately via yelp when I reached out. read more

Phenomenal job! Came the same day to take care of an ant issue we have been having. Would highly recommend

We used Nixtermite in August 2023 for a whole-home fumigation. The two stars are because they do offer competitive pricing, but after communicating with them now on several occasions, we'd rather have spent more out of pocket and worked with a competitor. Every single scheduled appointment - from the initial visit for an estimate, to the pre-tenting appointment to go over prep details to the two after-tenting pest control services we've had - has NEVER happened at the scheduled time. We get a call either hours prior asking if they can just come right then, or, in the case of our two pest control appointments, a call to cancel because they don't have staff to come out. It's extremely frustrating and their lack of dependability really just became expected and almost laughable to us after the first few times. If you have a dog that you need to coordinate pest control around, or a child who naps who you try to coordinate in-home appointments around, we would absolutely not recommend them at all. They're all over the place. They use a sub-contractor for the actual tenting - so although we also had issues with them and their communication, I suppose that's not entirely Nixtermite's fault. The icing on the cake is that we cancelled existing pest control services that we had and were happy with because the Nixtermite package came with a year of pest control included. Since switching over, it has been a nightmare in terms of bugs popping up now that we never had previously. We won't be having them come out to our property for any of the additional pest control services that we paid for as part of the package and are really just relieved to be done with this place. read more
