We needed a bee hive removed ASAP. Our German Shepherd was stung and went into anaphylactic shock and collapsed. For several weeks there were tell tale signs that we may have a bee problem, like finding dead bees on our front porch every day. Then on a Sunday in August, we noticed a piece of honey comb under the tree in our front yard, looked up and saw a giant bee hive nested in our tree, with bees swarming around it. The very next day I Yelped and called 3-4 companies. The Bee Guy Travis called me back right away and said he was in the area and would come to our house to take a look. He did not offer a quote, saying it would depend on what he found when seeing it. After Travis assessed our bee hive, he gave a quote, which includes a one year warranty. He was available to come out the next morning. The other companies I called just didn't give me that warm fuzzy feeling. One gave me a quote on the phone, site unseen and at a lower cost than Travis--but no warranty (and he explained all the reasons why they did not offer a warranty). Well, we went with Travis and we were very satisfied. The cost was very reasonable for what he did. I like that he specializes in bees. Day before Mother's Day and all of a sudden we had bees coming into the house through the fireplace. Travis came out to give me a free quote and opened up the utility water box in my backyard that housed the sprinkler valves. I couldn't believe what was in there!!! An old established bee hive that the bees have seemed to deem inhabitable. Swarms/colonies stop by for a few days or weeks at a time and then seem to leave. We have a swarm of bees currently living in a tree in our front yard. Travis came out on short notice to take a look at the situation. Unfortunately, there's not much we can do as the tree is producing pollen and the bees are just hanging out and gathering the pollen.
