Tucked away in Garden Oaks, Beausoleil is housed in what looks like a renovated home. The interior is intimate and cozy, with additional seating available on the patio. The French influence carries through to the tableware and glassware, none of the pieces are quite the same which I really appreciated. We started with a few appetizers. Bread service with butter of God (3.5/5), can't go wrong with crunchy bread topped with a mixture of butter, cheese, truffle and bone marrow. The burgundy escargot (3/5) had a rich buttery flavor, though I didn't get much of the escargot itself. The baked oyster (3/5) has a good flavor, but the east coast oysters were very tiny. The seared Foie Gras (4.5/5) was excellent, great flavor and texture. I could eat this all day, although the portion is quite small, pretty much a one bite situation. For the mains, they had unfortunately run out of a couple of their signature dishes, but what we ordered still delivered. The seared scallops (4.5/5) were cooked perfectly, with a nice sear and tender center. The Japanese A5 ribeye (5/5) was rich, nutty, cooked perfectly, combined with the pomme purée was absolutely chef's kiss. They also have a very nice cocktail and wine selection. Our servers were friendly, the owner also stopped by to say hello. Overall Beausoleil is a great addition to the neighborhood and a charming spot for a date night.

Located in the GOOF. Parking is available adjacent to the restaurant. It's a pretty cool location, with an AirBnB on the second story on what looks like a renovated house. The interior and plating is very French esque. We got a few appetizers for the table. The bread service (3/5) was a bit too rich and buttery for my liking. The escargot was good but lacked a bit of seasoning outside of the butter (3.5/5). The charbroiled oysters from the East Coast is tasty but very tiny (3.5/5). The foie gras is delicious (4.5/5), I just wish there was more of it. The scallop main is super solid (4/5); the seasoning and sauce with the capers and the scallops are perfectly cooked. I tried their ribeye as well and it was delicious and fatty (4.5/5) with a nice, aged, flavor. Overall it was a solid French inspired meal and a cute date spot in the neighborhood.

Visited Beau Soleil on National Oyster Day with two friends, and it definitely won't be our last visit. As expected, it was very busy, so we waited a bit to be seated. It's a small, intimate restaurant with so much charm. The interior is beautiful with elegant French touches, gorgeous china, and a cozy atmosphere. We came for the oysters and enjoyed both the raw and baked East Coast oysters. They were fresh, flavorful, and a bit smaller than what we're used to here in Houston. The baked oysters were especially delicious, topped with fresh prosciutto. We ended up ordering two or three dozen, shared the bread pudding for dessert, and enjoyed a couple of drinks. The team also surprised us with complimentary escargot because of the wait, and it was absolutely delicious. The chef stopped by to check on our table and shared that "Beau Soleil" is actually a type of oyster, which I had no idea about. I always appreciate learning something new, and it made the experience even more memorable. We'll definitely be back to try the regular menu. If the oysters were this good, I can't wait to see what else they have to offer.

Beau Soleil vibes - Louis Armstrong, Etta James, Julia child cooking silently in the in background on the tv & amazing food. The Beau Soleil happy hour specials are a ridiculously great value (from 4-6pm). $20 bottle of wine with 91 point rating cannot be beat and most appetizers for half off. But back to the vibes, it was gorgeous and romantic - every couple should try this place.

We came here for my mom's birthday and it was so lovely!! Truly felt special and she was immediately given a glass of champagne and then they came around with a round of champagne on the house for all of us. We had some amazing food, the butter of the gods is amazing, so was the tuna, crab cakes and roasted oysters. For dinner we had the Salmon special, duck, pork chop, and lamb chops and everyone loved every dish they had! The chef came out a few times and was so personable. We truly enjoyed hearing his favorite dishes and all the specials they had. My parents were surprised at how wonderful their experience was just based off location of this place and I am so glad we had such a great time! We will absolutely be back!

Great patio on a very quiet street.

This is a lovely restaurant in a newly built building which blends in well on the outskirts of a neighborhood. Great cocktails, wine, food, and attentive service provide a memorable setting for a night out. Order wine from their extensive menu; if presented with suggestions, ask re pricing as some bottles exceed $300. The covered patio is spacious and quiet, and the parking lot appears to be large enough to accommodate its guests.

HRW and a la cart. The Japanese A5 wagyu from the menu was my favorite of all the dishes.

It's in the neighborhood. Small and imitate restaurant, would be good for date night or small party. Park can be hard if it's busy but I came on Sunday night and it was not so I was able to park on their lot. Service was 5/5. Foie gras (5/5) Scallops (5/5) perfectly cooked Char grilled oyster (4/5 A5 wagyu (4/5) Mash potatoes + greens beans (4/5) Shaved ice espresso dessert (3/5) Overall, a solid restaurant with good food, but their dessert menu isn't all that. I would definitely come back to try their other savory dishes.

Dined in on a Sunday at 8 pm for a party of two with reservations. We were seated immediately. Upon walking in, the place feels like an old little house with a mildewy smell. Food was fabulous. Service is very friendly and tentative. We ordered: Dozen East coast oysters: very good but was not cold Bread service: bone marrow was good but some of the bread was too hard (what she said) Burgundy escargot: huge snails with delicious sauce Crab cake: great flavors Foie gras: this was accidentally given to us and we enjoyed it Half rack of lamb: lamb was cooked to perfection and the sauce was very good

I was recommended this establishment by a friend and was pleasantly impressed by my experience. Although it was raining outside, inside was romantic and cozy with French bistro music playing. There's a bar area, with tables in the front and a larger room in the back. Since it was HH, I ordered a dozen of East Coast oysters (Blue point, from Nova Scotia, and another I don't recall) they were served with a mignonette, a horseradish cream sauce, and a very good cocktail sauce. I also got the shrimp martini, mussels, and escargot to share. The oysters were buttery and plump, tasted so fresh. The shrimp martini was so delicious, jumbo briny shrimp with a tangy and creamy sauce. The escargot was buttery and succulent. If you haven't had it, it's basically like a buttery cooked oyster. The mussels were delectable, and the toast points were so good to soak up the sauce. Their heirloom tomato and burrata salad was awesome. It was served with a raspberry compote and a lemony dressing which complemented the creamy burrata. The bread service was alright. It didn't wow me, the bone marrow with blue cheese was an interesting combination but we enjoyed the bread to dip into the mussel broth. The filet was good. Although it was more on the rare side, we were able to send it back to have it cooked to medium. We also had the vanilla shaved cream for dessert. It was so creamy and the strawberry topping made it so delicious. Jeremiah and Donald were great and provided such attentive service. Will return in the future. Highly recommend!

This is true hidden gem! I would not have just stubbled across it because it is nicely tucked away in Garden Oaks. I do think this adds to its charm. I went for my birthday this year. I wanted French cuisine and came across this when searching for French cuisine near me that is highly rated. Beausoleil deserves the high rating. The space is lovely, the service is professional and warm, and every dish of the food was delicious. I will return and I highly recommend it!

Stopped in on a Tuesday evening and instantly loved the vibe. Edgar behind the bar is a true artist. Tell him what you're in the mood for, leave it in his hands, and he'll craft something creative and delicious every single time. The food was also incredible. We were lucky enough to meet Chef David who brought each dish out personally. The man can cook! Can't wait to come back.

Chocolate mousse

While the location was a bit hard to find, this hidden treasure is a must try. I ordered the seasonal Caesar salad and the Crab cakes which had a nice crispy exterior, very light and delicious. The salad dressing was delightful but I had to remove the heart of the baby romaine sections to eat it. Dessert was quite a show when my daughter ordered the Chocolate Bomb off the seasonal menu. It was fun to watch and good but VERY rich. Definitely a dessert to share. I was also able to taste the chocolate mouse which was the perfect size and delicious.

Parking is most convenient in the museum garage and the restaurant validates it. We had a reservation for Sunday night around 8 pm and it was surprisingly quiet...probably because it was a later dinner. The HRW menu was $55 for three courses. I started with the hamachi crudo which was light and fresh. It The passion fruit and peaches and I loveee a raw fish + fruit combo. It was so good! For my entree, I ordered the chicken. I rarely order chicken at restaurants, so I was a little skeptical but it did not disappoint. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, and not dry at all. It came with cashews and chili crunch on top which added the perfect texture and flavor. I loved how they elevated a simple dish. For dessert, I chose Le Fraisier, a vanilla Chantilly sponge cake and it was easily my favorite course. Not only was it delicious, but it was absolutely stunning!!! almost didn't want to eat it because it was so pretty! The service was also amazing. Our waiterRuben was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and took the time to make conversation with us. Every staff member who stopped by was equally knowledgeable about the food and the wines we ordered which is always appreciated when visiting somewhere for the first time. Overall, I was extremely impressed by the food, atmosphere, and service. It definitely lived up to its MICHELIN star status. Tens across the board!!!

Annabelle was highly recommended and we made reservations during HRW. We were seated in the Sun…read moreroom. Place is beautiful with an outdoor with a view to boot. We started with the French onion soup and deviled eggs. French onion soup was good with the appropriate amount for gruyere and bread and soup. The deviled eggs was their signature appetizer. It was good but not as silly as others we have had. The trout caviar gave it a nice pop and taste. For mains, we ordered the steak frites and short rib beef bouginon. Presentation-wise, the NY strip was sliced and had extras like rosemary butter, grilled garlic and onion. The bad is that it looked and tasted like a cheap cut of NY strip. There was sinew running halfway in the middle of the steak so made it tough to chew. I started discarding those pieces. The fries were delicious... and we ordered the truffle version with an upcharge. For the beef bouginon, the beef was tender but came in one big chunk. I've not see it served that way before. Beef was stringy and considering it's supposed to be short rib, it was lean IMO. The stew was decent with chunks of potato, carrot and pearl onions. For dessert, we ordered the Profilotores and Blueberry parfait. Thought the Profilotores was yummy! Paired with big scoops of ice cream makes it had to beat. The parfait was a soft cheesecake with big blueberry and sauce for toppings. It was a good choice... delicious as well. Overall, ambiance and service were great! The food esp the mains were a disappointment. Hope they spend a little more for a better cut of beef. Hard to justify going back unless somebody asks to go. Giving 4 stars as ambiance and service were 5/5 and food were 3/5.

I went during lunch, and it wasn't too busy, which was a plus. We made a reservation because I had heard this place gets packed. I got the potato croquette, the steak frites (which was +$24), and the chocolate dome. The potato croquette was phenomenal, and I really enjoyed it. It was crispy with a soft interior, and the sauce tasted like a tomato bisque, which paired really well with it. The steak frites, on the other hand, was not good. I'm used to steak frites being cut already, which isn't a big deal, but this steak was WELL DONE when I ordered medium rare. The waitress did offer to make me another one since I only ate two bites, but I don't like sending food back. So, I just kept it, didn't eat it, and still paid for it. :( The chocolate dome was good. The flavors were decent, and I liked the texture. The cappuccino was bland and boring. I don't think I'll be going back here.

The lack of valet parking isn't a total loss because there's a lot across the street and a garage around the corner, also free event parking at the curb. Everything sounded worth having on a plate, but HRW is best enjoyed with indulgence in mind. One can never go wrong with a salad as a starter, and the Filet Wellington was so tender. The pastry case was so light and flaky, really tied each bite together. And that sauce, bottle it. Lastly, dessert. This apple tart was indeed fine. The ice cream brought sweetness to the tart without overpowering the apples, and not a crumb was left. Service really allowed for the meal to be enjoyed. The fries looked scrumptious in Yelp photos, so I went with the vegetarian omelette with a side of fries. I was so pleased with the whole meal...I did not leave a single bite behind. And it only cost $12! I really enjoyed the aioli with the fries. These were not frozen fries, that's for sure. The omelette was perfect! It was packed full of sautéed onions, mushroom, bell peppers, tomatoes, and cheese. We split a crepe for dessert with chocolate, strawberries, and whipped cream. It was the perfect dessert because it wasn't too heavy, but yet the crepe had substance. Our server was polite and the ambiance was quaint. There were lots of antique-looking clocks on top of the bar, which was really cool. Also the restaurant was not loud by any means, which is exceedingly rare nowadays.
