Nice new spot for Thai food! Ordered pad thai it had a lot if fried win ton crisps. I would have preferred less crisp abd more noodles. Also ordered fried chicken it came with rice, trued to substitute rice for salad but server says cannot do that. Chicken wings were on the small side but very crispy abd i liked the sauce it came with. Thai ice tea with boba (jelly) was too sweet.

We've been coming to this spot for years, even back when it had different owners the Thai food was always amazing. We recently decided to try it again under the new ownership, and wow... still absolutely delicious! We ordered the Pad Thai, Thai Fried Rice, and Pineapple Fried Rice. My husband also had a Thai Iced Tea with boba everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. This is officially our go-to Thai food place! The restaurant is small and cozy, with a calm and quiet ambiance. The service was excellent professional, polite, and very attentive. Even the bathroom was spotless, which is always a plus. Highly recommend this gem in Pasadena!

17. Beef Salad Just a hard Nooo and a hard Passsss
Virginia O.

I don't mean to sound too harsh but their Beef Salad was one of the worst one's I have ever had. The meat was super tough. They cooked their cherry tomatoes and onions and so it was hot bursts of tomatoes and rubbery red onions. Now I love Thai Beef Salads and I am definitely no expert but I do know a good one or bad one when I see one and this was just all bad. For the $35 I spent on 1 Beef Salad and crab ragoons on Dash I would have expected much better the salad alone was $19. This may be the local's spot but I would have gotten all this plus dumplings at my local spot in Irwindale. May work for the locals but not for me. They seem to be doing good but again not for me.

I dropped off my car for a tire service and had an hour or so to kill. It was close to lunch time so I walked into Beau Thai as I saw the attractive lunch special menu outside the restaurant. I walked in and promptly greeted by the server. It's a quiet and relaxing restaurant for a party of one for lunch. There is a huge variety of items on the menu. I always love pad soon sen and that's what I ordered. The lunch was good and the service was prompt. I enjoyed the quiet lunch and was able to pick up my car immediately after lunch. I'd love to visit again and try other dishes.

Noodles were amazing!

Ordered takeout and it was tasty! Food was pipin' hot and filled in the brim. Green curry was by far my favorite dish -- well seasoned with a lot of depth. Pad Thai was missing lime luckily we had lime at home and it helped bring out more of the fish. Prik king was probably the weakest dish. We just didn't really like it. I'd come back to try their food in person because I think it'll taste even better

Amazing places, must try. The service was fast! Will def come back again and try out their lunch specials!

This was their basil chicken! A lot of filler and barely any chicken. So disappointing!

Found this place randomly while looking for somewhere to eat around town and glad we did! It gives hole in the wall place and there were not a lot of costumers, but that didn't stop the wait staff from being attentive and constantly checking in on us. We got the lunch and the portion size was great! Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back.

63. Fried Chicken with Curry Fried Rice and 28. Pad See Ew
Thomas K.

Food was ready early. Picked it up and brought it home. The flavor was good. The portion size was average. The price was average. Overall pretty good place. I notice Thai restaurants can vary from a bit bland and dry to greasy and strong flavor. This place is on the greasy side and the curry rice had strong flavor. It was a little heavier than we wanted but it was still a nice meal

61. Tom Kha Noodle Soup
Thuy Dan T.

I ordered delivery through DoorDash. Since I live in Pasadena, delivery was really fast and the order prep was also quite fast, about 30-35 minutes in total. Crab Rangoons - pretty delicious. More cream cheese to crab meat/green onion ratio but it tasted pretty good. I also liked how the wonton wrapper wasn't too thick but still very crispy. The sweet/sour sauce was also tasty and had a thinner consistency than others I've tried. Tom Kha Noodle Soup - coconut-y, creamy Tom Kha filled with purple onions, mushrooms, and tomatoes. The noodles paired with were rice noodles and for delivery was packaged separately with bean sprouts and cilantro. I asked for extra spicy and there was a very mild kick to it.

Tom Kha w tofu, fried shrimp rolls!

We are from the Westside of LA, this is sooooo good, recommend it and open late until 9:30 most nights. Great food. Excellent service and great atmosphere.

From the street, the curb appeal doesn't exactly grab your attention since the restaurant sits sideways to the road. But once you pull in and walk inside, it's a pleasant surprise! Nice atmosphere, spacious dining room, and a welcoming feel. We arrived early and were greeted by a very friendly woman who made us feel right at home. She was gracious, attentive, and never made us feel rushed. We started with the stuffed chicken wings appetizer, which came with two pieces. They had a nice crispiness and were pretty good, although I would have liked a little more punch in the seasoning. I tend to enjoy Thai food with some bold spice, and these were a bit on the mild side compared to others I've had. My son and I shared the President's BBQ Beef, which was excellent! Very tender, flavorful, and definitely one of the highlights of the meal. We also ordered the President's Pineapple Fried Rice, another winner. Great flavor, a nice combination of ingredients, and shrimp mixed in to round it out. My wife ordered a flat noodle dish with chicken and broccoli, which I believe was Pad See Ew. She enjoyed it as well. We beat the dinner crowd, which was nice, but as the restaurant filled up, service became a little harder to come by. We had to wave someone down a few times just to get our check. Nothing terrible, but it did take a little shine off an otherwise enjoyable experience. Overall, President Thai earns a solid four stars from me. It didn't blow me away or knock my favorite Thai restaurants off their pedestal, but the food was very good, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff was genuinely friendly. If you're traveling along rhe freeway and want a good Thai meal before dealing with the craziness of downtown Pasadena, this is a worthwhile stop. Good food, pleasant surroundings, and a satisfying experience. Sometimes that's exactly what you're looking for!

We were surprised to discover that Tuesdays are a plant-based/vegetarian night. I had no idea! On the positive side, there was no line on this evening, the portions were generous, and the Thai Iced Tea was good. However, the execution of the food fell flat. I ordered the yellow curry; while it had a decent spice kick, the overall flavor profile was muted. In my opinion, Kwan Thai Kitchen offers far more flavor and a better bang for your buck. Please keep in mind there is no actual table service. I know my perspective might differ from other locals and some of my friends, but with so many great Thai options nearby, the food here was a big miss for me. Just one tiny gripe, portions were small for the price. My friend ordered the Crispy Duck Salad. It came with crispy tempura-battered duck, fresh mixed sprouts and grapefruit, pine nuts and tahini topped with drizzles of blended hoisin sauce, chu hou sauce, and plum sauce. The pride of family recipes is evident throughout your meal. This is a Thai restaurant with updated takes on classic Thai / Asian cuisine. They are proud that they have been able to maintain quality for almost 19 years. I stopped on a Sunday afternoon. I was greeted by a friendly hello/how can I help you as I walked toward the counter. I indicated I needed some help with the menu as I had some questions about some of the dishes I used to order. The staff member, Mary, indicated that while they add new dishes a lot of their favorites have stayed on the menu. She suggested I order from their special lunch menu as it would be a savings as well as a chance to try some of their new flavors / spices. I wanted to try a number of things that would make approximately two meals. I let her know that I wanted her to make the choices for me and she accommodated my request by making suggestions after asking a number of precise questions as to the spice level and variety I was looking for. I let her know that I like spicy food and eat everything. Pad See Ew with beef, Summer Rolls, Chicken Gyoza were my first selections. I decided to add a Ramen Soup as well. While I waited for my order to be cooked, I was able to enjoy the cute atmosphere in the dining room. They also have a few tables outside the entrance for those that like the fresh air. At one point the chef came out and asked about what cooking technique and spice/heat I might prefer. That was a nice touch. I do like my vegetables with a little bit of a bite and my meat medium rare. After about a short wait my food was ready for me to pick up at the counter. Everything was packed carefully and I was asked if spices and utensils were needed. I indicated that the spices and chopsticks were perfect. When I got home I was pleased that the smells that I had sampled in their kitchen were still emanating as I unpacked the various parts of my meal. There was definitely more than enough for two meals. The Summer Rolls were fresh and full of flavor. All the vegetables, carrots, basil, cucumber, and Cilantro we're fresh from the garden. Their peanut dipping sauce was a perfect addition. The Chicken Gyoza had a nice chew and great flavor with the dipping sauce. I mixed some of the soy vinaigrette with the sweet black dipping sauce. I enjoyed the combination. The Pad See Ew with beef was perfectly cooked. The thinly sliced beef still had great flavor and chew. The Chinese broccoli was cooked perfectly along with the scrambled eggs and garlic. Flavors worked well together in the special dipping sauce provided. I love that they make their own sauces from scratch. The b&w Ramen/barbecued pork and pork chicken wontons we're a perfect match. Plenty of food with great flavor and spice. The liquid part had great flavor and a nice mix of complex spices. This is something that is not cooked quickly. All of the vegetables and meats had great flavor and you could tell they were all fresh and cooked perfectly. I did add some extra spice that was given to me in packets as I left. I also added a touch of soy sauce. They were careful to make sure that my experience was one that I would enjoy at Daisy Mont. I found out that Ben had worked on my preparation in the kitchen and Mary had graciously taken care of me at the counter. What excellent service. This is a great location but parking can sometimes be challenging. They have spaces along Colorado Boulevard that are usually available depending upon the time of day. There is also some parking around the corner in a parking lot. Be aware check the signs to see whether there is a charge. Great food, great service, always and enjoyable experience look forward to going back again soon. There are plenty of items still on the menu for me to try.

Very clean and well decorated space. Nice AC on a hot summer day. Do note, the window seat is a little weird because you can't lean back (No back rest). I wanted something light so I got a small Tom Kha Chicken Soup and a Thai tea, which I asked to be less sweet and they obliged. The soup was very sour, which I didn't expect since it didn't say that in the menu description. I knew Tom Yum is sweet and sour but didn't expect that from a curry soup. Also, 1/3 of the soup were the spices (that you don't eat) so it felt really small of a portion after I removed those pieces. My friend gave me some of their extra rice and it was still too sour. The Thai iced tea was a little bland, probably since I asked for it to be less sweet, so I don't recommend doing that. I think less sweet also meant less milk so it wasn't very creamy. Still refreshing though. In my photo, you can see the color difference between my less sweet thai iced tea and my friend's normal one. Mine was kind of brown. His was the normal bright orange. I also tried my partner's pad Thai and normally I don't like pad Thai because it's too sweet, but this one was on the less sweet side so it was quite decent. I tried my partner's Thai Iced Coffee, which we ordered out of curiosity. She said it's basically normal coffee but more sweet. To my surprised, it was not sweet at all, like zero sugar. It tasted like a more burnt americano with a splash of milk. We were not fans. We parked about 1/2 mile away because street parking is free and we don't mind walking. Parking structure is available nearby too, for only $1 for the first 2 hours. Bathrooms are shared among three restaurants, but they are very clean.
