Called yesterday to make an appointment for today because my truck was making a clicking noise every time I turned left. Had zero idea what it could be from and was worried it was going to be an expensive fix. Called Bear Alignment to see if they could take a look at it and they said absolutely and recommended making an appointment. Walked in this morning at 9 AM and met with Jeff. Jeff made the entire drop off process super easy and told him why I was there and he said okay no problem and said he could call me later with an explanation. Jeff called about an hour and a half later and said they found the problem, a bracket, and it would be an inexpensive fix and about an hour longer to get it done. I was super happy because that was great news. Went to pick it up and no noise! Super happy camper over here and now I want to tell everyone to call Bear Alignment and take your vehicles here. Went on Friday without an appointment for a simple wheel alignment - but no openings were available. Jeff recommended coming back on Monday for an early 9am appointment - so I booked it hoping for quick service. It took over an hour just to get my car looked at - mind you, my appointment was made for just an alignment and I was there promptly at 9am. Of course, they always manage to find other stuff under the hood like old cracking parts. After an initial estimate of $100, they recommended a complete overhaul of the "lower control arms" and "upper strut/spindle bolts" for $1,306 - we went from $100 to $1,306. Noticing my displeasure, Jeff said he could remove some of the less urgent issues and was able to bring it down to $436 - lucky me. I should feel great that I'm not going to pay $1,306 but instead pay $436. Plot Twist: that same Friday I had taken my car to the dealer for an oil change and full inspection ... they recommended an alignment for $175 +tax. I know dealerships have a horrible reputation but they actually had a way better deal than Bear. Moral of the Story: if you already have a good relationship with your dealer, listen to them, trust them. Unfortunately, I didn't, and now I got hustled for an extra $260 (compared to the dealer). Brought my 65k miles 2021 RAV 4 in for regular maintenance, and asked about possible alignment needs because I hit a curb half a year ago and I wasn't sure if it's me or if the car was actually drifting to one side. I had asked my dealership previously about the possible drifting issue and they recommended an alignment. The first alignment didn't seem to make a difference, so they happily charged me for a second one only three months later because, according to my dealership service advisor, "my car needs an alignment every 10k miles because of all the potholes around here." After relaying this information to Jeff, he straightforwardly told me ONE alignment every TWO YEARS is the normal schedule. He told me I likely won't need an alignment, but he'll check my car to confirm. In the end, he only charged me for my regular maintenance (oil change + tire rotation) and re-affirmed that my alignment was fine. Even after I pressed the issue, Jeff took the time to explain to me what each number meant on the alignment report the dealership gave me, and why I shouldn't worry when "these numbers are green while those numbers are red". My car has since been driving fine, so it was all in my head after all. If you look at all those 1-star reviews lambasting Jeff as dishonest, you'll observe a trend in these reviewers' attitudes and their tendency to value cheap work over quality work. I've been bringing my truck there for close to 10 years and refuse to bring it anywhere else at this point. Scammers. Me and a family friend talked to each other, and found out that Bear Alignment, tried to scam both of us on... you guessed it... alignments!!! You come in for an $80 alignment or something, and they even have you sign off on their estimate sheet. Then when you leave to walk around, they call you a half hour later, saying that they need to talk about some problems on your car. When you get there, they show you a new estimate sheet, and they say that they can only do the alignment after fixing $2000+ worth of repairs! (my friend was told $1500, i was told $2200). That's almost the price of the car!! So we said no of course and left!! They gave us our money back luckily. I told my dad afterwards, and he told me that the same thing happened with him, and he doesn't trust them either. Please, take your car anywhere else. read more

Overall Bears is a great place to go to if you need work done to your car. My family and I have been coming to this location for years when our cars have had issues arise. Ranging from small issues or base maintenance needs to larger and more complicated issues. Any issues that arise, they fix in a quick timely manner. Jeff and Paul are knowledgeable when is comes to cars and I've spoken to them a lot when I'm in the front office. Also I've talked with Jose who is familiar with my cars and he is extremely knowledgeable as well. I've spoken to Jose in person and over the phone and when there is an issue with the car he is working on, and he explains it in great detail over the phone or shows me in person. In the past week I just had my oil changed for two of my cars and I was waiting for both of my cars in the office area and I was watching as customers came through and interacted with everyone from Bears staff, many customers seemed to be pleased with the work done to there vehicles plus quiet a few of the people I saw seemed to be familiar with everyone at bears and everyone working at bears seem to be very familiar and friendly with their customers. I've gone to Bear since I was a kid with my dad in the late 80s. Even then they had the best service. If you're looking for a honest group of guys go to Bear. What a great group who always keep my family safe and on the road. Few months ago they replaced my Idler and pitman arm on my 3500 Duramax and truck drives so much better. The man behind the counter was very friendly and got me all checked in. After inspection a mechanic let me know my car was perfectly aligned, but double checked to be sure. Then he said I didn't need any work and I wasn't charged. I suspect many places would claim work was needed and take your money but I appreciated the honesty of this shop. That earned my trust and as a result I will go back should I ever need additional work on my car. Additionally, when I arrived an older gentleman was in line in front of me and mentioned he needed to get money together for a part and asked if there were price options. As soon as he left and I was checked in, the man behind the counter made a call to get quotes for the older gentleman to help find a part in his price range. This place seems to be honest and caring.
