Transmission bolts  fully tightened but sticking out cause their placed in the WRONG LOCATIONS... cause of weird noise.

Yes this "rEpAiR" happened a while ago but it took that long for me to come back MULTIPLE TIMES to fix this shooty job and to take it to another mechanic who pointed out what you guys did... and what kind of argument is that? UPDATE: The replacement Fan Shroud with built-in radiator reservoir slipt and started to leak... it was a CHEAP aftermarket part which I had to replace with an OEM part... I would of rather you had asked if I'd pay more to get am OEM part... I had already paid more for an "upgraded clutch" which now is squeaking ‍... DONT BRING YOUR CAR HERE 2nd UPDATE - Was just messaged by the business simply to tell me "You should be ashamed of yourself"... like really?! this business messed up and did crappy work with cheap parts, I tried to let them fix it 3 times until I gave up and settled to only find out how bad they did the work after taking it to a real mechanic shop months later for a simple break change (Riverside Metro Auto Group)... and instead of replying to say they would at least try and make things right or put my damn transmission bolts in the correct place I get 1. A none reply trying to disqualify my complaint cause it didn't happen this week 2. A emotional private message to try and Shame me for sharing my bad experience... way to treat the customer you screwed over... hopefully others will take heed and avoid you guys

Avoid J's Garage Auto Repair at all costs. I brought my truck here for a simple serpentine belt replacement--a job that should take about an hour. Instead, they kept my vehicle for 6 to 8 hours, while only actually working on it for maybe 1 or 2 hours.Worse out, they completely broke my clean air filter outlet housing nipple while working on the serpentine belt. Instead of being honest, they tried to hide their mistake by literally putting the hose to the hole where the nipple was at and put silicone back on to cover it up, hoping I wouldn't notice.When I confronted the owner, he initially admitted fault and promised to refund me half of what I paid. Now, he is completely backing out of his word. He is trying to claim my previous part was a "junkyard part" to dodge responsibility--even though no other shop has ever touched my truck.They are deceptive, they damage customer property, they lie to cover it up, and they do not stand behind their promises. Save your time, your money, and your vehicle. Go anywhere else but here. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR).

Damaged rotors from using old pads then making me come back another weekend to get new pads.

Price was fair. Only downside was I had to go back twice for them to adjust a brake dust shield they bent that caused scraping noises

I ended up buying a car off fb marketplace and got a vehicle in horrible condition. Bought a 2012…read moreToyota RAV4 and after 60 miles it shot a transmission code. Brought it into the shop and they offered a repair but recommended a replacement due to the code that popped. They shopped around and found a transmission in good condition for a great price so I went with it. After they looked at the car more they realized it didn't even have a Toyota transmission. Someone had replaced the transmission with one from a camry. I got quoted on transmission replacements from a few shops and this shop offered full replacement, including mismatched parts, for half the price of any I contacted. If you are having transmission troubles I couldn't, in good conscience, recommended anywhere else but here. From the service, friendly nature, explanation of issues in a way I understood, and letting me have the final say and what repairs to make, there isn't another shop I would ever go for transmission issues. Also took only about 9 days(including weekends) where I didn't have my car. That includes them diagnosing, hunting down a transmission for me, ordering parts, and installing. Honestly quicker than I expected!

I limped my truck in, they diagnosed it quickly, quoted me a fair price, did the work quickly and for the price quoted. Very happy customer- highly recommend.

These guys really helped me out! My car was diagnosed at a different shop needing a transmission…read morereplacement. The car was jerk-stopping while driving with no check engine light. Since the car had 95K miles I did not want to put a used transmission in it since the car had low miles. For me it would either be a rebuild or a remanufactured trans. The remanufactured trans were not available so it narrowed it down to a rebuild option that the original diagnosing shop would not be able to do. I called Rich at Riverside Transmission Center and made an appointment to have the car checked out. I had it towed in at lunchtime on Friday and he would check it out the same day. He called at the end of Friday to let me know that they needed another hour on Monday morning to be sure. It was no problem for me. Rich called on that Monday and told me that he hooked up a computer to the OBDII port and noticed that the speed reading on the computer was different than the speedometer. He then gave me good news that the issue was likely a speed sensor and I might not have to change the transmission after all. I gave him the OK to change the speed sensor and worked fine after that. Thanks Rich for saving me a transmission replacement! Five stars!

Got recommendations to visit Harvey's Autotech as they are a known and reliable shop. I called in for an appointment a few days prior and got to bring my car in for some maintenance work. Came in, they inspected my vehicle, gave their diagnosis and decided on the work to be done. Harvey's is fair-priced and the work seems good. My vehicle's been running very well since. It's a family-owned shop, but also has that big shop feel. The advisors up front are helpful and friendly. I worked with Daniel and he was knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. Thanks for being a good neighborhood auto shop!

I brought in my vehicle, I was told I would get charged a certain fee for the inspection and…read moreteardown for a vehicle diagnosis of check engine light .I was charged $900 for diagnostics and tear down inspection . I was told by Daniel that the amount would also be applied towards the repair of the vehicle. when I decided not to proceed with the repair due to being estimated a rough $300 hourly rate for labor.We made a few calls and we got quoted from a few places almost $3,000 less than I was being quoted at the shop for labor. This place came well recommended to me by a reliable source. my family and I had just relocated out to the IE. Completely regret brining in my vehicle to the shop .it feels like retaliation due to us not wanting to continue repairs here . My husband expressed the concerns with Daniel and Harvey, and unfortunately did not continue with service.
