Where do I begin? There are two men at this business: the owner and the mechanic. Both are kind a polite. Unfortunately, after almost $3,000 worth of work to my car, I've had to take it somewhere else to have it actually "fixed." DO NOT take your car here for repairs! When I took my 2003 Chevy Impala LS there for the first time, I told them exactly what I needed to have fixed. My car had an oil leak (oil pan seal) and an issue involving the front right wheel hub. I took it to these guys because I was told it would cost less. Had I known what problems I was going to face as a result of their so-called "repairs" I would have spent the extra money at the Chevy dealer. The mechanic replaced my EGR Valve with one that came from a junk yard!!! I NEVER authorized any "used" parts to be installed into my car! He took apart the plenum on my car and after he replaced the seal TWICE my car has been making a high-pitched whistling noise ever since. These repairs where completely unnecessary!! An entire series of unnecessary repairs were made to my car that cost me a small fortune. Mind you, the car had been completely checked at the Chevy dealer and I was given a written recommendation of the necessary repairs and they DID NOT include the work these guys deemed necessary. I requested the recommended repairs by Chevy be made and I was denied! I asked these guys to chance my oil and change the fuel filter and I was told, "Ah, you don't need to do that." What mechanic tells you you don't need to change your oil? Ridiculous. Each and every time my car was worked on at this place, my "check engine" light would come on within 15 miles of leaving their shop! I was told by the mechanic, "I don't know what's wrong with your car" AFTER he already tore it apart unnecessarily!! Then, I was told it had a clogged catalytic converter. I was told they would "take it to the muffler place" nearby because they could get a better deal than I could if I took it there myself. When I took the car to them, the mechanic said he could install the catalytic converter because "it's just a couple bolts." I reluctantly agreed to let him do the installation. Another $1,200 later, I was driving home and I nearly passed out on the freeway from exhaust fumes!! When I exited the freeway, my car was sputtering so bad that I almost didn't make it home!! I called them and I was told I needed to "bring it back." When I arrived and I popped the hood, the mechanic said, "Oh, here's the problem" as he connected a plug that he had neglected to plug in the day before!! I told him how I nearly blacked out on the freeway driving home and he said it was because nothing but pure exhaust fumes were getting into the cabin of the car. UNBELIEVABLE! The catalytic converter ALONE cost me $991 plus labor!!! They didn't install it correctly, it had two exhaust leaks as a result of their shoddy work. I had to take it to another mechanic to fix it because I was sick and tired of taking my car back to these guys every time they worked on it. Every time they worked on it, my "check engine" light would come on, my car would make all kinds of strange noises, and they just wanted me to keep bringing it back. For what? So they could continue to screw up my car? NONE of these issues existed before they got their hands on it. Now, my car runs like a jalopy and I'm having to take it elsewhere to fix the problems that these guys created. What a mess!! There was nothing wrong with my car but an oil leak and a front wheel hub issue until I took it to these guys!! Friendly gentlemen but completely clueless and incompetent, I'm sorry to say. read more
