I can't recommend Sacto Auto enough. Once again, Tom and his team did an amazing job diagnosing and fixing an electrical issue on my 2021 Cadillac Escalade. Electrical problems can be difficult to figure out but they did an great job. Tom is very professional, honest, and kept me updated throughout the process. You can tell they truly care about their customers and take pride in their work. The Escalade is running great now and I really appreciate the quality service and attention to detail. If you're looking for a trustworthy shop with knowledgeable technicians and don't charge an arm and a leg, Sacto Auto is definitely the place to go. Thank you again to Tom and the entire team for another great experience! read more

This place has great service and quick response when you text them. One of my students husband Chris from Pierce Smog referred me to Sacto. Tom helped me out. I dropped off my car and it was done within a coupon of hours. One day my car was acting up and I just drove into Sacto, Tom was able to help me right away and got my car fixed within 1 1/2 hours. Super nice and friendly and the price is also affordable. read more

Knowledgeable, honest, and great prices! Shout out to Tom super friendly and always helpful!

I was recommended this place by AutoZone down the street and looked it up on Yelp and was impressed by the 5* reviews. I attempted to contact this place and got a message that they were closed for the holidays. I waited for the return date and the "out of the office" message was still on. I sent an e-mail that day and identified the work needed and did not receive a response. The next day the normal message was on that said they were too busy to answer the phone and send a text to a specific number. I texted that number and received no response. The next day I left a voice message stating that I have texted and e-mailed and again no response. It must be a great problem to be so busy that you turn away prospective customers by not responding to inquiries. One star. No service performed. read more

Would highly recommend this place. Tom is a very honest guy. We take all our cars here. Thanks for taking care of of us.

What everyone else has already said. Highly recommend. Tom is a standup guy. Great service, good value.

I appreciate the ability to text them about appointments and needs. They've been my mechanics since I moved to SoCal about ten years ago. They've always been incredibly communicative and clear about things that need doing right away, and what can wait. They've rescued me from schemes at my local Kia dealership (Riverside Kia, I'm looking at you), and are always happy to explain what they're doing and how my vehicle works. I also appreciate that they don't patronize me as a woman (something I've experienced with too many mechanics before). One note: some of the people in the shop smoke, and you can smell it in the office from time to time. As an asthmatic, I try not to spend much time there (which they don't do now because of Covid anyways). read more

I am in love. This place is so awesome. My regular car mechanic kept on saying I need new brakes. I still thought they were good. My coworker suggested this place and I made an appt. They looked at it and said I still have easy 10k on the brakes. This is awesome. I have never seen so honest people. At 8am these guys were packed. Tom is an angel. I am never going to any other place now. I highly recommend this place. Don't go anywhere. A Big Thanks to Tom and it's crew. read more

Great customer service. I came here with my whole family to get our car's oil change and a transmission liquid change. It was all done for less than $150. It was so cheap. The staff was so kind to put up with us too. Especially since we basically took over their whole waiting area when we were waiting for our car to be done. They also have AC which is convenient to wait in when it's really hot outside. Our family will continue to use this place for car services. read more

Wow. Truly excellent in every way. Clear communication throughout, hundreds of dollars less than another mechanic quoted me for. For other mechanics, I have to go out of my way to get the quote in writing. Tom texted me detailed information without me needing to ask. He also showed me pictures of what he was talking about so I understood exactly what he was referring to. I would 100% recommend this place to a friend. read more

This review is long overdue! I want to say that Tom, and his whole crew has done an amazing job with our Suburban. We had issues with our transmission first and then our engine. I appreciate that they are very thorough. They want to make sure that your car is in tip top shape before returning it to you. It was very hard being new to Riverside and not knowing which mechanic to get work done by as you know some people like to take advantage of folks. I'm glad that I did my research and Sacto did not disappoint. They are honest and very respectful. They do not try to make you feel horrible or feel pressured into getting additional work done if you do not have the funds for additional issues with your car. This is now our trusted mechanic. Thanks again for all the your great work, you and your team has done ! read more

This is the best place to go, Me and my family have been coming for years and they have always been great to us. Tom is an honest stand up guy that will let you know the issues with your car instantly and will always allow for you to not feel pressured to fix it right away if for some reason you financially can't. He will give you his honest opinion if whether it's a good idea to hold off or if it needs to be done ASAP. Sacto Auto Repair - Conversation with them - Auto Repair Near Me - Riverside, California

Can't really speak on the quality of their service but I definitely can speak on the awful customer service! I called them up based on the reviews here on Yelp inquiring about rebuilding a transmission for an 2004 Monte Carlo. The guy who answered the phone took down my info and said he would be calling me back in 15 minutes with a price. 30 minutes passed and he still hadn't returned my phone call with a price. I called back and asked if he had found out a price, he asked me to give him just a few more minutes.... A few more minutes turned into never! He never returned my phone call! To me that is awful customer service! You have now lost a potential customer for life! I look at it like it was a sign from the Lord! read more

I can not thank Sacto Auto Repair enough. These guys know their stuff and will never suggest fixing anything that isn't broken. I had my clutch done here 5 years ago(90k) and now on my second kit(184k), throw bearing was jacked up, and here I am freaking out that my tranny was going out and all I needed was another kit, phew. They did all my service maintenance, replaced motor mount, belts, and some other misc stuff. Tom does an excellent honest work and provides the best customer service in Riverside County, hands down. He is my goto auto repairman when it comes to cars! I highly recommend taking your car here for all your car repairs. Fast. Best rates. Friendly. Service with a smile =) Thank you Tom, and thank you Sacto Auto Repair for bringing life back to my car! read more

I finally found the best mechanic shop/garage in Riverside. Both Tom and Ken were friendly, funny, and took the time to listen to me. They answered all my questions. They go the extra mile at Sacto. I dropped my Expedition off around 8:30am for Plugs, Coils, and an oil change. They took care of it all and called to tell me it was ready by 2pm! Fast, excellent, and clean work. I'm a car guy so I know when a garage is being honest with me or BSing... these guys are Legit and won't screw you. Prices are fair, and it's nice knowing honest mechanics that they won't rip you off. It's a family owned and operated garage too. If you don't need something right away, they'll let you know. Great location, easy to find and get in and out of, on the corner and fully gated and secure. Highly recommend. read more

This place has delivered the Wow! Factor! In a good way So I call them up and told them what's wrong with my car and Tom tells me to call Honda dealer I may have a recall and sure enough, he saved me hundreds of dollars now I understand why they have an over load of work that they can't keep up with demand even with 20 mechanics! I will definitely use them again You will not find another place like this! Keep calling keep emailing they are very busy! read more

Great work. Called in the morning for a quote, brought my car in and got it fixed before the end of the day. Highly recommend them.

I was looking for a mechanic close to home and based on the great reviews, I decided to visit Sacto. My car was idling rough and the check engine light had just come on and I wanted them to run diagnostics since I had tried all the obvious, easy fixes and the issue persisted. The shop was extremely busy, and the gentleman who greeted me was friendly. I felt totally comfortable leaving my car in their capable hands. A few hours later, I called to get a status and the gentleman who helped me before said it would probably take them a few days to diagnose the issue since it was intermittent and I was better off taking it to the dealership for a more in depth diagnosis. When I picked my car up, the tech explained that they had seen this issue with my model car before and it was probably an issue with the ECU. He did not charge me, but gave me the codes he pulled from the check engine warning. He said the whole time he had my car, he felt it misfire once. He was very polite and again recommended I see the dealership. Here's my problem I don't trust the dealership, nor do I care to pay their inflated price for service. I really think that Sacto already had enough business that mine was not worth their time. As soon as my car was at operating temp, it idled rough consistently, just like it had before I dropped it off, so it concerns me that they didn't feel it. When I got home and popped my hood, my engine cover was not there and I had to go back to the shop to pick it up, so that was a little inconvenient. I wound up visiting another shop in the area and they were able to find the problem (faulty wires) and fix it in just a couple hours. So, guess who I'm taking my car to in the future? The shop that was willing to spend time. It might not have been a high dollar repair this time, but I have another car that needs a lot of work. I really hoped to build good rapport with Sacto but I wasn't a big enough fish for them. Oh well. read more

Been going here for 5 years Best service Best price Always accommodating Always timely Always honest I can't tell you how many times they have done a small repair for free or given me the original quoted price on something that actually ended up being more expensive.
