Aloha to anyone who is reading this first time review. I use to live in Corona for years, now we live in Irvine. Never heard of Omni Auto Repair before or who Willie was? But one day, my brother made a group text to my family and mentioned, if we ever needed any car work done, go see Willie who works on cars. He is Filipino and is the owner. My brother has never been to the shop but the doctor at the clinic he works for, recommends him. So this past summer, I called Willie and told him I needed front and back brakes done. I had bought all four rotors, brake pads, and sensors. He said no problem, I will just charge you labor. I told him I usually buy the parts because I like OEM or find the best deals online. So, I waited a few hours while they worked on my car. When it was done, my Range Rover braking was like new! I just bought this car a year ago and now I know for sure, it's braking power will last for years. After reading a review 2 years ago by my Yelp friend, Tiffany S, I had a strong premonition that I should bookmark this mechanic. It doesn't make much sense. Mr. B does all the servicing on our vehicles, he was even a professional mechanic for a few years. So why was I saving his name? Now I know why. Last week, Mr. B's niece (yeah, mine too) drove into town and her car decided to break down in a major way. She needed a good, trustworthy, reasonably-priced mechanic, not the gouging dealership who had informed her it would cost her between $2300 and $5000 and would take at least a WEEK to do. So, her favorite Aunt (that's me!) said, "I may have just the person for you." And, if we weren't already talking premonitions and coincidences, the "ah ha" moment came when we all realized that Willy, aka Omni Auto Repair, was from the Philippines. It's that binding Filipino brotherhood, ya know, and this family is a proudly blended Filipino family. First impressions: a neatly organized shop, surprisingly clean, with even a flower in a vase on his desk. Niece conjured up her best Tagalog to schmooze (doing her best rendition of "Hook me up, bro", and that sort of stuff) , while Mr. B (who thinks he can't speak Filipino but can eavesdrop on your every word) challenged him on his mechanical knowledge. Result? Everyone was smiling. We felt we had found her the right mechanic. Let's get started! Next on the agenda was Willy's own analysis of the problem. One day after dropping off the car, there was a mid-morning phone call to let Niece know that her engine was not destroyed (unlike the doom and gloom horror story Crown Toyota gave her), and she would walk away with less than a $700 price tag. We found Omni by looking on Yelp and so appreciate the work and great service we got from them. We were looking for a trustworthy mechanic to check out an older vehicle that we wanted to give our son. We needed it to run well and be reliable since he was driving it to Missouri. We took it in and asked for a full diagnostic and quote for repairs which is kind of like asking to be ripped off, especially since we were really anxious about our son driving across country on his own. The owner was straight with us about what needed to be done now and what could wait. He did a quick and honest evaluation with no pressure to have anything done. He was able to get it done quickly in the time we needed it and communicated with us on everything. The car ran great back to MO and we plan on taking our other cars to him as well. In this day and age it is hard to find someone who is honest. Willie is awesome. He could easily exaggerate things or overcharge you or lie about the urgency of an issue. Rather he tells you how it is with a fair price and if it's not that big of a deal will give advice (like for my car) "It'll be fine to drive in for another 1000 plus miles, but if you want to be safe, bring it back after 1000". He didn't know I would come back to him..but how could I not? Very easy to communicate with and nice enough to let you leave your car there if you are closeby and even gave my husband a lift home once since it would be a while til our car was done. We originally went to him early 2021 because my brakes were noisy and have since been back anytime we have a concern for either or our cars. Often times in life it seems that in order to get a good deal it is more about who you know then anything else. Well I left Omni Auto Repair feeling like I knew someone in the auto repair business evidenced by the grin on my face that stretched from ear to ear. I got introduced to Omni when trying to find a car for sell by owner: If you know anything about that you most likely will agree that it is a frustrating process to say the least. I found out that people are proud of their junk! My favorite Craig's List Ad I found was, "Runs great, needs engine"...yikes?!? You have to be patient because you will look at a lot of lemons and even if you find a car that is in your price range and SEEMS like it is in decent condition you always feel like you are taking a chance because you never know if the owner is trustworthy enough. Finally I took a family friend's advice to go to Omni because they said this place fixes a lot of vehicles for owners preparing their cars to be sold. I called and sure enough they had a car that they were finishing up if I wanted to go there to take a look at it. When I did, I fell in love because this car was 100x better then any other I had seen during my search. Omni introduced me to the car's owner and by the end of the day I had the title. Omni finished up the final touches and I'm now driving around in my "new to me" car! Omni made me feel confident about buying a car from the owner because they were able to tell me the truth about the condition of the car I was purchasing (since they aren't the owner they have no reason to lie in order to make a sell), insuring me that nothing major was wrong with it and that it was safe to drive, letting me know I could come back if I happened to find any problems. I would describe the people that work at Omni as trustworthy, honorable, and kindhearted which is over and beyond what any person would be expecting from an auto repair shop. This place is great which is why I will be coming back here for oil changes, tune ups, and anything else my car needs! Giving 1 star for customer service only! Very nice people here. I had my 1998 BMW looked at bc my driveshaft was knocking. (I had just bought a new one a few months ago) so i was panicked on what was going on. I took it here as it was the closest shop to me. My car is very reliable and in good shape, its just old! So parts just need replacing, I knew that. But what this shop didn't know is that I know my car and that almost 90% of the parts are very cheap. CASE AND POINT: He charged me $500+ for the job. Problem is..he didn't even have the right diagnosis. I needed 2 transmission mounts and a driveshaft center support. I bought those parts online myself for $60. I've just gotten the work done for $150. He was wayyyyy off in price and in diagnosis (NOT COOL). Im very disappointed bc I could see someone getting taken adavatage of here and I dont respect that. Maybe bc I'm a petite lady who looks like I know nothing about cars, but that's just sick. I don't recommend this place at all. read more

Willy is an honest, and extremely kind man. The shop is one of the only ones I've ever heard of that's open longer than 8am-1pm both Saturday and Sunday. Thank God for that, because my car decided not to start on Saturday morning, and I called to see if he could help me out. He said he'd be glad to look at my car and fix whatever issues it had. My battery was only 3 weeks old and I thought this meant my alternator needed replacing. What else would drain a battery so quickly? So, with plans to bring the car in on Sunday morning, I was dreading what that might cost to fix. In the end, we found out that the connection to my battery was loose, causing the engine to stutter when the contact was lost... All this because AutoZone sold me the wrong size battery for my car, and it just needed to be exchanged. I did that, and let Willy know that the car was fine again, but thought that he could fix my brakes since they were making squealing noises when I applied them. Willy took a look at both the front and rear brakes, and informed me that they were in practically new condition still, and in fact, he cleaned the dust and dirt off of them, and the noise was completely gone. What really puts the icing on the cake is that Willy did this completely FREE OF CHARGE, out of the kindness of his heart. He could have used my naivete to his advantage like a lot of mechanics do when they see that the customer has no clue about cars. Instead, he restored my faith in humanity by about a mile. When I moved to Corona, I was sad to give up a great mechanic in RSM, I was searching for a new mechanic and I was hoping to find a place open on Sundays to do an oil change when I came across Omni Auto Repair. It's just over 2 miles from my home and they're open 7 days a week and holidays! I went to get my oil changed, and they had excellent prices, they also reset my check engine light (the damn thing loves to pop on when nothing is wrong). When I came back to get my car, they told me my brakes were worn out and I needed to get them fixed before they grind the router. I didn't have time that day, but i came back today to get them replaced, and once again, the prices were excellent! Omni has proven themselves to be a very reliable mechanic. Great prices, great hours, and Willy (the shop manager [and owner?]) is very nice. Wow, this place is amazing! Take your car here NOW! Willie is amazing and honest! Not only are they open SUNDAYS, but I took my car in this morning right when they opened at 9am and he looked at it right away even though they had tons of other cars too. My check engine light came on with cylinder misfire codes and they took a look at the cylinder to see if just adjusting or new values needed. It took almost two hours to get proper diagnosis of the situation. My car needs a complete new valve replacement. But the real kicker, awesomeness...the diagnosis he charged nothing! Most places still charge for that, so hard to find a shop that doesn't. He wasn't saley or pushy, but super sweet and amazing. Other shops gave me a list of tons of other things to fix too, so it was nice to get down to the root of the issue. He also guarantees his work, or I don't have to pay. Along with other yelpers I too was looking for a mechanic on a Sunday, after a quick search outside of my normal search radius this place popped up. It was a little confusing to find amidst all the construction and street closures, but a quick look at google maps pointed me to enter in off Lincoln/Magnolia and it was easy to find. It was about 3pm when I drove up and asked if they were able to fit me in for a last min oil change and they said sure no problem at all. I was out of there in less than 45 mins. The shop is real clean which I noticed right away with no clutter like some shops around. I don't remember who helped me, but he was very easy to talk to you and explained the next steps in service and also said what I really don't need which is just money makers for some shops. So lucky we found this place. Willie (spelling?) and his team went above and beyond to help get us back on the road again. We were driving through the area and discovered we had 3 brake lights out, saw on Yelp that the shop had good ratings & was close by, so gave a call before heading over. The shop was a little hard to find, confusing our GPS app, but well worth that little bit of confusion to get to. Willie helped us right away, trouble shooting and finding a replacement part that was needed on one of the lights, as well as bulb replacements. He was very professional, courteous, easy to communicate and work with, and very reasonable in terms of labor and parts costs.
