I hadn't been since their renovation and made it there last Thursday. It was really cute ambiance - I loved the interior designer's work. The place has options of seating - inside and outside, ranging from metal chairs to comfortable upholstered benches. We got the tom kha to begin with, which my husband, who's not vegetarian, devoured. It was truly delicious! We then got the Kung Pao with mushrooms and it was incredible - the flavors, the choice of vegetables, the sauce - all of it! We also got a chow mein but with rice noodles - this was the one dish that could take some improvement. Granted, the original recipe calls for wheat noodles, and that might be really good, though our rice noodles version of it was came out soggy. Our server had clearly had a long day - she was tired and forgetful (didn't bring us rice and we had a hard time flagging her down to request it). She also just brought us the check after dinner, without asking if we wanted any dessert. All in all, highly recommend this place for delicious plant-based food.

We were able to get a table fast, and oh boy, TVs everywhere. Pretty much anywhere you sit you can see at least five. So the guys were happy with this, though it makes the restaurant overall pretty loud. Their menu has all of the pub food fare you would expect, including several delicious looking burgers. I got a Bleu Cheese & Bacon Burger, which was pretty great and came with a mound of fries. My daughter got the Mac & Cheese from the kids menu, which ended up being an adult's plate size of mac and cheese. Not complaining -- just you can probably split this between two kids. The beer list was also great. We had to wave the server over a few times after waiting a while for our checks and refills, but overall, this was a pleasant visit. Would come back.

Our server took our drink orders and came back with the drinks quickly. She also brought us water! We shared the cheese curds and it certainly was a great choice. I decided to get the lobster garlic pasta! The lobster was cooked correctly and the meat was tender and not over done. I really enjoyed the dish. I'd order it again in the future. Overall, the service and the food were great! I highly recommend this place for some good food and drinks!

The team is constantly circling the restaurant to make sure tables are cleared and food comes in a timely manner. We had people with allergies at the table and the team was accommodating and our food had the allergy labels in them. The team was very professional and kind! Food was so good! Everything over all was delivery but some highlights from the shared dinner were the eggplant spread, the brussel sprouts, and date cake. Warmed pitas were seasoned well and texture was fluffy but not too soft where it wasn't able to hold its shape. I could have the sweet potatoes latkes everyday! The lamb ragu hummus and short rib were good but we found the actual protein was a bit dry and flavor subdue compared to their accompaniments. The spicy brisket kabobs were good but we were stuff so we had to slow our roll. The Date cake was delicious! Perfect amount of sweetness for those both sweet lovers and non lovers! 10/10 recommend. We'll be back for brunch sometime!

The greenhouse theme and twinkly lights were pretty. Now the service.... The server was kind, great attitude but poor service. Drinks were left empty, condiment requests were ignored or forgotten about, food and drinks items that were ordered were not told they were unavailable until after they were ordered (ie. Tea and lamb shashuka). Additionally, I was also charged for tea even though I I never had any but thankfully, they removed it. I had ordered tea and was initially told that they would be looking for the canister of loose leaf teas and then we were told that they didn't have enough canisters and too many canisters were broken. Um....ooookaaaay. We ordered two chicken kabob plates, grilled haloumi kebab and Moroccan onion dip. Their specialty drinks we got were: chocolate honey Carajillo, passion fruit spritz and then the say less. The drinks were delicious but a tad steep. Overall, food was delicious, they did skimp on the rice, I wish they added more. Their harissa was very good, spicy with a kick..would have loved it more if our waiter didn't forget the first time we asked for it. Chicken was well portioned, well seasoned and good flavor but it needed more rice to eat it with. The cheese was really good as well. Oh yeah, we also got the strawberry ricotta toast and that was....interesting. The cost to quality ratio needs work. The prices here are pretty steep and you get what you pay for here. Unfortunately, if the service is like what we received today then totally not worth it. Overall, it was a fun experience and I'm Glad I got to share with my family but doubtful we'll be back again with the exception to celebrate a special occasion, if that. Lastly, their take out container bag is super cute but that's not either here or there. Disappointing experience for a special bday.

On a weekday evening, as expected, the restaurant was not busy.  We were promptly seated at a 4-top table (2 × 2-top) against the right wall, with some other 2-tops on both sides.  Like many reviewers had mentioned, the venue was beautiful, modern and chic. There were 7 tables occupied, including us.  The music that they had was not too loud, just that customers' conversations were amplified by the box shape open dining area.  If we focused enough, we could hear every conversation if we wanted to.  This was obvious when a table of about 6 women got seated at a table near the front door, some of them laughed and talked very loudly.  My husband and I just found it funny and didn't let that bother us.  However, when the restaurant is filled on busier days, it might be a different story. Our server, Patrick, was very nice and attentive.  Since they did not list drinks on their menu except those with alcohol, I asked him about non-alcoholic drinks.  After a brief "discussion", he asked me to leave it to him to make me a drink with mango.  He came up with a beautiful drink that was good and refreshing, with some mango flavor.  It was Virgin Paloma on our receipt for $8, which was reasonable.  He was very polite and checked in on us several times at appropriate times during our dinner.  The pace of the dinner was good, we spent a total of an hour and 15 minutes in the restaurant. Patrick might be the only waiter serving all the tables that evening, though. I also ordered Grilled Octopus ($22) which was very good, tender and flavorful, but was a little too salty to my taste.  The small pita bread wedges were warm and fluffy with some crispy edges, the beet hummus was creamy, and everything was delicious and tasted fresh.  I generously shared 2 little bites of octopus with my husband and I finished the entire plate, it was so good!  My husband really liked his Spiked White Fish ($29) and I shared a bite of that too.  He also had a House Salad for $6, that was a very good value.  He enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc Crossing ($12) too.  We also shared an order of Crème Brulee ($8), that was creamy and cooked perfectly.  We ordered a takeout order of Rigatoni with Sausage ($23), that was a good portion, and was still delicious and al dente the next day after being microwaved. I am so happy that we found Social Inn - a hidden gem in Plaza del Prado, it's not far from home, with comfortable and beautiful ambiance, excellent service (from Patrick), an attractive menu with enticing food (fresh ingredients and appealing plating), and reasonable prices, we will definitely be back!

We were in the area late in the day and remembered Social Inn was open, so we went. We ordered a variety of items. I did order my burger medium and it was delivered well done, but it was still good. They also have one of the best gluten-free buns I've ever had. I do wish they were open at lunch time still, but I understand they need to be open for their busiest hours. Social Inn is a great option when you are in the Glenview area.

I always look forward to the seasonal rotation of menu items, as I know the ingredients will be fresh and in season, and I love looking forward to new dishes. I absolutely adore Spirit Elephant and have loved making this my go-to spot in Winnetka. I have had Meet Up events, girls brunches and date nights here, and always enjoy the experience. I've honestly been here more times than I can count. My omnivore friends are always pleasantly surprised once they've been officially introduced to the magic of Spirit Elephant. I've loved watching all of the small changes over the years, and have appreciated that the quality of the food and handcrafted cocktails has never changed. I have raved of the patio in the past, but they've since done two major upgrades, and I love spending weekend afternoons with a group of friends during the warmer months on their patio even more. The staff is phenomenal, and I appreciate that I always know my server will have an excellent recommendation whenever I stop in (I mean, you truly cannot go wrong with anything that you order).

The tofu in the bao buns was so crispy and delicious that my carnivore friend said tasted just like pork belly. Having never had pork belly, I was happy that to me it tasted like tofu since I love tofu. The poke nachos were a bit spicy for me but flavorful and delicious. Again, my friend thought it really tasted like tuna. My friend wanted to split the steak which I thought wasn't their strongest dish because it tasted more processed and not like lovely tofu nor like meat. But for those who enjoy vegan steaks, it was quite flavorful and moist. The potatoes were so fluffy and crispy. But not my fav of their dishes. As always the manager, Jordan, comes by and makes us feel like VIPs, laughing and treating us like old friends. And the whole team works together smoothly. Being surrounded by plants with perfect warm lighting makes the ambiance just as wonderful as the food itself.

A few "highlights" of our visit: Dishonesty: A server lied and said there was no kids' menu (which is clearly listed on their website) just to avoid a meal substitution. When I asked about ordering chicken tenders, the server told me they didn't have a kid's menu and were only making an "exception" for my daughter. I later found the full kids menu on their website. Instead of simply explaining an age policy, he chose to be dishonest and was visibly annoyed that I even asked. Being Ignored: It took 20 minutes and multiple people flagging down a server just to get one bottle of Coke. I asked the female waitress 3 times for the Coke and she repeatedly looked at me and ignored me. It took 20 minutes and 3 family members calling out to the server to get her attention. Disrespect: The hostess literally put her hand in my face when I politely asked for a to-go bag. I politely asked the hostess for a to-go bag, she actually put her hand in my face and told me to "hold on." When she finally returned, she mean mugs me and handed me the bag without a word even after I gave her an underserved thank you. If this were my party, I'd be demanding a refund. This place makes other local diners look like five-star establishments. Unbelievable and completely disappointing. Will never be returning.
