One of the best breakfast options in Beacon!!! Get there early as the dining space is small and very limited. Seating outside in the spring/summer is the best!!! read more

Perfect tasty lunch sandwich and cake to take out for a mount beacon climb. And very affordable for the quality. The banana cake was very fat but worth it.. read more

We were a party of two and tried a ton of dishes. Hands down, the ricotta pancakes were the best of everything we had. The first time a whole stack of pancakes made sense together. Their homemade tart yogurt is also amazing. read more

The food was good when we finally got it, but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The wait staff seems very scattered & unorganized, it took almost an hour to get our order which was three sandwiches, no fries!! read more

One of my favorite breakfast places by far! I have been going here for a while now and each time I go it's never a disappoint! I always go for the basic breakfast, but there is nothing basic about it! read more

I am very optimistic about my next encounter at this wonderfully creative establishment. My family enjoyed their meals and where the food is good, that's where you will find us. Thanks again! read more

Nice cozy little spot. I ordered the strawberry ricotta pancakes and they where delicious. The side of hash was very flavorful and fresh. Whatever hot sauce they had there was real good, I would definitely buy a jar of that. It didn't have a label on it but definitely worth trying. A little pricey here, but I don't mind paying if the food is good. Will def return. read more

Our friend had the hangover sandwich which looked and tasted so good!! Super friendly service, refills on coffee, a must eat while in Beacon. The display case w all the types of bread were tempting too! Yea, you should eat there. read more

Slow, casual service but great bread! Great for a simple homemade breakfast or brunch. Iced coffee was wonderful, no frills. Vegan pancakes available and tofu scramble! Right on main street and great location to follow up with window shopping or a 20 minute walk to Dia: Beacon. read more

Great breakfast place and the breads and baked goods are wonderful. Stopped here with friends and got the Salmon, dill goat cheese quiche with cup of French onion soup. Good menu the food is solid but the food takes for ever.. Plus the manager is the rudest

I live in Beacon and can honestly say I do not see why this place has such good reviews. I want to love it because it would be a great local place for breakfast or brunch. I've never had a good meal here. The coffee is always burnt, the food is mediocre at best, and the service is terrible. Last time I was there we were seated at a dirty table for fifteen minutes before someone came to clear it and ask us for our drink orders. Was it a busy Sunday? Yes, but that's really not an excuse. If you're looking for breakfast or brunch, you're better off going to the diner or venturing outside of Beacon. read more

Amazing bread. And today stopped in and had a salmon sandwich that was delicious. Seriously, this place makes me want to come to Beacon more often! Service was excellent and even got to taste a new Lavender scone. read more

The food wasn't that great. The pancakes was burnt and soft at the same time. The freshly squeezed OJ had so much pulp I felt like I was eating a orange instead of drinking it. The cheese grits felt like it was missing something. My husband said the ketchup taste weird and his sausage taste like a rubbery hamburger. We won't be coming be here again. read more

Best server award goes to Ella. Me and my boyfriend went to brunch today for our anniversary and we were greeted by Ella, who is super enthusiastic and sweet, she took our orders and just made really great small talk with us and was super approachable and kind. She always made sure we had water and that everything was okay, gave us some great recommendations for our breakfasts and dang was she right. The cinnamon bun waffles are probably the best thing I've ever consumed in my entire life. The food and service were totally worth the 25 minute wait. Thanks Ella for making our day, we will be back for Ella and the waffles! read more

I picked up my mom from the Airport and was looking for a place to grab a light breakfast before heading up to Rhinebeck. Beacon is experiencing a good deal of renewal and I figured that it would be a good locale to scope out something decent to hold us over. I was driving the car so I couldn't really browse through user reviews, but settled on Beacon Bread Company because it seemed, generally speaking, to be what I was looking for. First and foremost the service was terrible and unprofessional. If you can't manage to run the counter and table service in tandem, just don't do it. We both ordered avocado toast, you know, that dish of smashed avocado on bread. I won't claim I'm an epicure, but in spite of that I do know that when you serve a dish comprised of few ingredients, each ingredient needs to be of some degree of quality. I couldn't get past the fact that the avo smash was brown and had a rotten flavor, so scraped it off and ate part of the bread (which wasn't fully proofed and so had a gummy texture). This was mostly because I was ravenous after waiting almost 30 minutes for avocado toast on a slow Monday morning. Coffee was probably the best part of the meal. Needless to say, there will be no repeat visit. read more

BEST bready bite in town with the most amazing food & staff!!! We went to Beacon for a mini honeymoon for only two days and went here both days - it's that good! Our server (and now good friend) Ella immediately made us feel special... even before we told her we were newlyweds. We left our first meal, featuring one of several delicious grilled cheese selections, with super happy tummies and big smiles. When we came back the next day, Ella was thrilled we were back. She told the whole cafe we were just married. We truly felt at home! I got the OUTSTANDING beet-cured salmon on fresh baguette. Everything here is delicious, and this is one of those rare places where humans still greet each other and share apple turnovers with new friends at neighboring tables. Ella, we'll be back with our parents and/or Brooklyn crew. See you soon! Yelpers, go here and enjoy the bready warmth and genuine love in this place has to offer! read more

I've only been here once, and I usually don't review until I've been somewhere at least a few times. This place looks cute and I thought the food might have something special to it, but what I had was pretty basic. Coffee was decent and we eventually were offered a refill since we chatted for a while. It definitely did not get me excited, but I will try it again! read more

The French toast and chocolate chip cookie were excellent!!! Had a nice outdoor dining set up on the sidewalk.

Beacon Bread Company - Hmm hmm good!! - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Beacon, New York

The food is good. I got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and the egg was undercooked which wouldn't have been an issue had the service not been so bad. Our waitress had a horrible attitude which just made her come off as miserable, come to find, she was the owner. On three separate occasions we had to get up and request we get napkins, straws, and the remainder of our food after we waited on 2 breakfast sandwiches and home fries for 50 minutes. When asking about the fries the owner acted surprised about not sending out the fries and one of the other waitresses told her she had forgot to put it in the ticket. After deciding not to tip 20 percent which was a total of $2.40 the male waiter came out and confronted us about the service we had. We explained that the wait, the attitude, the forgotten order, and the fact we had to request for things 3 different times gave us the impression of that the service could have absolutely been better. He stated that we shouldn't come back and the owner came out and started to shout that we had not seen anything yet if we thought that her attitude was bad. bad serviceShe was absolutely the nastiest BUSINESS OWNER I have ever met. I am just in such disbelief that someone who owns their own restaurant would be so nasty to her costumers. read more

I went here Saturday for brunch with my friends. We were sat at the communal table but received no menus for over five minutes, at which time I got up and got them my self. It took a while for our order to be taken. I ordered the breakfast burrito and the French toast with bananas to split with my friend. The breakfast burrito was great but the French toast was just ok. read more

This place is cute. Their menu has a nice selection of sandwiches with many different types of bread. My partner ordered the "Lady Melissa" and she loved it. I had the salmon sandwich. The bread and the salmon was awesome. The spinach on the sandwich was too greasy but other then that, it was a good experience. read more

The best steak and eggs I've ever had. It was one of the better steaks I've had from a restaurant. It was nicely marinated flank steak and cooked perfectly. Very good flavor. Also, had the corn beef hash which was real hash, not canned. It seemed to have allspice in it, which was interesting. And the corn beef was nice and fresh. Very good. I also tried a bit of my wife's locks which were great and my sons French toast was great too. Can't wait to go back! read more

I don't write so many comments here on yelp but I felt like I have to write about this place. Went there for Sunday brunch. Unfortunately the lady with the curly hair here at the counter is very mean to everyone, unpleasant and complaining and talking trash behind customers. Waited in the line for the bathroom next to the cashier and she had something to say behind every customer. Unacceptable and not a good way to start your day, you can see in her face that she is not happy to have you. The food is mediocre but the other employees working there are sweet so that's the only reason for me to give two stars instead of one. (Apparently, this app doesn't let me reply Kamel J. So I'm editing my previous comment: no such thing has happened while I was waiting in the line for the bathroom that "polite and lovely" Kate asked people to form a line. Luckily I wasn't there with my family but unfortunately was already seated and ordered. But I'm very sure that Kate has talked trash about me too, since she did that for every single person that was ahead of me. Actually our friend Kamel is a very nice presentation of how their attitude towards customers is. And hopefully he doesn't delete what he wrote:) now I'm changing that two stars to one, wishing yelp had no star for grading places like yours;) cheers! Oh before I forgot, let me go ahead and like all the bad reviews that you guys have. My pleasure and you're welcome! read more

The one star is for the fresh squeezed orange juice. If you want to have to ask for everything you need, this is the place for you (salt, water refill, etc) and the waitress seemed put out every time we asked for something. The tables were dirty when we sat down and they put down placemats over the dirty table. The $5 tiny crockpot of oatmeal was overpriced and $1.50 for fruit and nuts was too much. For a place with bread in the name, the bread was sub par. Don't come here for the heuvos rancheros. All in all we spent way too much for not great service and very average, overpriced food. You pay at the counter and they watch you while you decide what to give for tip. I don't like writing bad reviews so for every bad review I'll post a good one too. Please see my review of Tito Santana, which is awesome and well priced! read more

Food is really good. More expensive then I'd like but at least the food was good. Small inside and not much elbow room but common in the area for these cafes. There can be a long wait during peak times (we came for brunch on a Sunday). Staff was really nice. Food was put out timely and piecemeal (which we were fine with since we had a hungry, impatient baby). Great location. Lots of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. read more

The chef is amazing! He's so sweet. He came out and sat with us to talk for a little bit. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. The food was delicious!! Everything was fresh and cooked to order. I normally order one thing here because it's amazing and that's the Chicken Cesar Salad. Yes I'm sure you are all wondering why something so simple is amazing at this one location. They take the time to cook the chicken to protection and the lettuce is always fresh. Also the biggest thing for me is the dressing. They don't soak your lettuce in dressing! They usually put a small amount on or they will put it on the side for you. On the other hand another amazing thing they serve is the breakfast burrito. They create it in such a way that it's always amazing and filled with flavor. The Beacon Bread is another place here on Main Street I highly recommend. read more
