I have ordered Beach several times and sometimes it comes in the estimated 30 minutes, sometimes it can take up to an hour or an hour and a half... busy restaurant! The employees have always been friendly. The crust is the chewy type, and they use a generous amount of cheese and toppings. The BBQ chicken pizza is also great! This restaurant is a staple in Manhattan Beach, I especially recommend it for big group gatherings, but make sure to call ahead. read more

Food was awesome. Really authentic. We had shrimp scampi, a meat lovers pizza, and calzone. But the unexpected winner was actually the anti pasta salad. The house made dressing was awesome. I have a history of loving Beach Pizza, but in trying to get my wife to feel the same way, you failed hard. I ordered a half pesto, half marinara pizza with three toppings for pickup. Unfortunately I didn't view the pizza when I picked up, which was clearly a fail on my part. I got home with a half cheese, half pesto w/ the 3 toppings pizza. We have ordered pizza, wings and salads from Beach Pizza for years. The food generally tastes really good, but they can't get an order correct to save their lives. I've called them on it and asked them to check our order history, the person said they had never seen an order history that long before. At approx. $70+ dollars an order, we have literally ordered tens of thousands of dollars from them. The food arrived cold, orders were wrong, the wings became so small it was a joke. We started ordering for pick up hoping the food would be hot and that we could make sure the order was right, it didn't work. They would send out half our order on delivery, to whom I'm not sure. We would have to wait for that portion to come back and everything would be cold, except the salad that would be warm or without dressing and once with shrimp instead of meat, my wife is deadly allergic to shellfish. They won't be screwing up our orders anymore, we won't be ordering anything from them anymore. read more

Just ordered delivery from this MB location. My family and I love this pizza and love supporting local businesses. We've ordered from here multiple times. We understood that it's dinner time on a Friday night (aka busy). When the person I spoke to on the phone quoted 1 hr, and it took 1.5? We get it. But then when the pizza got here, it was lukewarm temperature at best. All the things that make this pizza good: the quality toppings, melt in your mouth crust.. were muffled by the remnants of day old left over cold pizza. Beach pizza is a must try. We ordered a medium customized pizza with mushrooms, spinach, garlic and onions. The crust is the perfect thickness. It was fantastic. They didnt skimp on any of the toppings. Worth paying the $1.50 for each topping. Definitely want to come here again for the PIZZA. The shrimp scampi..not so much. It looked great, but the sauce tasted bitter and vinegary. Shrimp was overcooked. But it came with a salad and 2 breadsticks which was nice. I met delivery guy at the strand) it came and there was no fork for my salad (no napkins or anything else either but those aren't as necessary). If you were as awesome as the staff and owner at Beach Pizza, you'd shrug, say "Ay! No problemo!" and start pouring a pitcher of beer, as if you were Miss Cleo herself. We literally took over the entire restaurant, and pizza after pizza kept coming out pipping hot for us to systematically devour. I'm not exactly sure how much pizza I managed to shove in my face, (I have older brothers, I have to be swift or the food will be gone!) but I distinctly remember liking the veggie more than both the meatlovers and spinach/feta, but not nearly as much as the hawaiian. The BBQ chicken was my personal favorite...but I'm a frilly pizza lover. After the carnage was over, we all sat back with our beer and conversed with the staff - stuffed and satisfied. What made this experience truly exceptional was the friendly and accommodating nature of both staff, as well as the other customers who had to deal with, well, us. The Maui Wowee (usu known as the Hawaiian) wasn't all that good, mostly because it comes with the thick crust, which I don't like. The Manhattan Man with its usual servings of pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and green peppers was good --it's actually marked as one of the two Beach Pizza's Favorites. I called and the manager just gave me excuses, "Saturday nights are busy and I guess someone didn't know your card was already charged." Hello? Its not hard to make in known that it was already charged....they already seemed SO unorganized. I honestly didn't feel he was sorry about their mistake.....more on the defensive and combative side. He said he'd get it taken care of, but 2 days went by and still no credit back on my card. Its not that hard, what happened? I had to call again and this time I'm really pissed since I have to keep calling them about their mistake. I spoke to the same manager and he said he gave it to his boss (the owner). He should've called me to update me on it since he first acted as though he was going to fix it and a couple days already went by. He was even more combative and defensive this time. For a manager, I couldn't believe how rude he was. He obviously has extremely poor managerial skills which I told him. He just kept giving me excuses, didn't apologize, and was arguing with me.
