"I've been here before..." Then recognized the Chinese restaurant (I've been to a couple of times) a few yards away. But I was in the mood for pizza and wanted to try new digs. I went through their menu beforehand and knew exactly what I wanted: The Gourmet Pizza. Experience dictated parking can be a challenge more especially during the lunch rush, so I prepped for that. Got way lucky I found one near the front. Came through and a couple customers already waiting for their order. There were also a few takeout orders waiting to be picked up. Didn't see anyone dining in, so they're popular for to-go grub. Put my order in and took a seat. About ten (maybe fifteen?) minutes before my food was ready to go. Made to order is always a plus! Got back to work not too long after and my pie was still hot. Plenty of toppings and the thin crust was crispy at the outer layers. Each bite was savory and flavors from all the toppings came together nicely. I really liked it! I ordered a small but was only able to consume half. There was plenty for a second meal. FOOD: 5. SERVICE: 5. VALUE: 4. PARKING: Small Private lot up front, more in the back. Street also available. OVERALL: 4.5. The only little snag?! The pie was sliced into four pieces which were a bit too big for my personal preference. Will most likely request for 8 slices the next time. There will be a next time! Needed somewhere to get a quick lunch during my workday and decided to order the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken . It was made in a timely manner, went and picked it up. For me it was Delicious, hit the hunger spot , very creamy. No regrets definitely will come back and try other things on their menu. read more

Giros located just south of LAX on Imperial Hwy. I it this spot after a bike ride at the beach and was craving some Italian. I had the Chicken Parmesan which hit the spot. Service was fast and friendly. I say stop by and give them a try. I still have to return for their pizza which looked and smelled delicious...maybe on my next ride . read more

I I would like to give this place 3.5 stars for the reason that 1. When you order online the burger says it has caramelized onions and mushrooms with thousand islands which I was looking forward to but instead they gave me a regular burger lettuce, tomato, onions, and lots of thousand islands. The burger was seasoned great and was very delicious but I really was looking forward to the caramelized onions and mushrooms. 2. The pizza looked super nice but for me everything had no flavor. The sauce was very plain , the dough had no flavor and was really tough, even the cheese had no flavor so it really let me down. I would be willing to give it another try tho not losing hope yet! read more

I love a place that sells pizza by the slice especially if it's good pizza. They have a nice two slice lunch special. Delicious thin crust pies with savory sauce and cheese that's got not just cheesiness but also cheese'ness. Located across from the airport at the far north end of Main St is a small strip center off to the side. That's where you'll find them. Small and cozy inside with just enough room to get comfortable, watch some TV and enjoy some pizza joint staples (pizza, bread, salads, sub sandwiches, etc). Remember to check those lunch specials (they usually have 5 or 6 to choose from). read more

Located in a small strip mall on the outskirts of LAX is Giro Pizza. I got the large pepperoni and mushroom pizza. The cost was a little under $22 (cash price). The flavor was very good. Not too salty. The ingredients were also very good. Service was excellent. I got my to go pizza at around 15 minutes. read more

Just ordered a cheese pizza with pepperoni, pineapple, and garlic for Postmates delivery (priority due to time crunch) to the Marriott at LAX. The pizza looked beautiful. It was a perfect temperature and consistency when it came... so it wasn't ruined by the time it took to deliver. It's around the corner, and it didn't take long. I don't understand how it was so bland. Nothing to write home about. Pretty sad about it. Saw the great reviews and was looking forward to my pizza. Have not eaten in... much too long... and even my ravenous hunger didn't make it taste any better. Too bad. Would have been great to know that a good pizza place was in the area, since I may be here early for a convention I was at this year. Not worth what it cost to order. I cannot fathom how the ingredients used created such a tasteless slice. It makes zero sense to me. read more

I was home sick and the only prescription was pizza. With garlic, spinach, mushrooms and extra cheese. Not sure how Giro was never on my radar. Anyway, I had someone pickup for me and enjoyed it very much. They got everything right, including the extra cheese. The crust was perfect, vegetables were plentiful and in the right place. Need to review things for what they are and for pizza in a 10-mile radius, I was impressed. Definitely going to explore their menu further and highly recommend giving them a shot. Btw, the parking lot there can suck. Pro Tip: park next to the parking lot on Imperial Street. Much easier and just as close. read more

This is my rating system: * horrible ** ok *** overall above average **** worth it. 5* excellent. Location: ( does not contribute to my rating) the restaurant is located in a small plaza in el Segundo. There is a parking lot but it's shared with many other restaurants. It might or might not be easy to find parking right away. When we got there on a Saturday at 1:00 pm, there was parking. Restaurant: small restaurant that probably can fit like 4 small tables. Since this visit was during the covid-19 season, it's hard for me to determine the amount of people they can have inside. To me, it's like a pizza shop where you go buy to take out. Cleanness: (5*) Thank you to the staff for wearing mask and keeping the shop clean. Service(5*) The attention to the costumer was spot on. The cashier was nice with the people he interacted with. Food:(4*) I ordered a large pepperoni and pineapple pizza. Visual(3.8*):The shape of the pizza and the distribution of the topping on it looked how a pizza should look. However, the pizza was bathed with too much oil. Flavor(3.7*): The tomato sauce was spot on for me. The amount of sauce did not overtake any of the other flavors. The amount of cheese was perfect. They actually left it cheesy how I like my pizzas. As I already have said, the amount of topping that was distributed was good that it didn't feel too crowded when you eat it. But, the amount of oil make the experience too messy because it was dropping all over the place. As many other have said, the food value is excellent. I recently visited Giro Puzza to sample their NY style pizza. Ordered the 2 slice special, one pepperoni and one sausage. The slices arrived piping hot with parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes shahers. Other than the size of the slice, the slices were comparable in taste to NY traditiobak rhin cryst pizza. The crust was crispy and properly supported the ingredients. I plan on returning to Giro Puzza to order full pies in the future. BTW, I ate the slices on the property. The service and attentiveness of the staff was outstanding. read more

It's not the best pizza I've had but the combo meal is a great deal. It was getting late and we wanted a quick bite to eat and found this hole in the wall still open. The combo deal includes a slice of pizza, side salad, pasta, and a canned soda. Three of us were really happy and couldn't believe the value and tasty food for the low price. read more

We had a deluxe calzone with extra marinara. It was fresh and delicious. It has amazing toppings and toppings and cheese were generous. Service was great and quickly prepared. Nice little pizza place. The only thing that I was disappointed in was there was no ricotta cheese. I am used to calzones having ricotta and mozzarella cheese. So I was a bit disappointed but I would still get it again. :) read more

Just took my son to the airport and in the greater Los Angeles area. Traffic was a bit intense so I decided to stop. Truly experiencing the good life! Great food and friendly service! So like I said, come here planning to split with others if you're a vegan, but if you're just here individually I don't think they ever sell vegan pizza by the slice. Even if there was one day that they did sell vegan pizza by the slice I could see myself giving this place 4 stars, since it's also really close to the beach which is a good location. Service was fast and seemed like cool people. The interior was comfortable and felt familial/community driven.

This was one of the best pizza-related choices I've made in Southern California. Parking is a little tough...I ended up parking a few blocks away on a main street, which was fine, but didn't notice there was a public parking structure available closer behind a building across the street. The place was crowded and lively on the early Saturday evening I was there. That's a great sign...I was just getting a slice to go, but overheard the host telling people it would only be 10-15 minutes for a table. I had a classic cheese slice. (My litmus test for NY pizza at a new location.) It was FANTASTIC. Easily among the very best crusts I've had on the west coast...super thin and crispy...exactly as it should be. The balance of sauce and cheese was also perfect. Too many pie shops seem to treat sauce as an afterthought...too thin a layer, almost not tastable. But not here...it was perfect...the right amount of everything. There are other really delectable looking pizza options, even for vegetarians like me, including a fascinating "Cacio E Pepe" and a Margherita. (I also saw one which looked all sauce like a tomato pie, which looked really good. (Plus other options like Fried Brussels Sprouts or Fried Cauliflower...cheese bread, and salads. The beer menu, as one would expect with "pint" in the name, is extensive with lots on tap and "guest" brewery selections. Lots of wines to choose from as well. Slice and Pint may be local to El Segundo (lucky El Segundonians!) But my experience with this one slice is that it would be worth the drive from anywhere in SoCal to eat here...If you love NYC-style thin slices...like real legitimate ones...charge up the car and get yourself there.

After finding a table, we went back up ready to order and the server responded pretty rudely: "Did you not hear what I said?" I completely understand restaurants get busy and mistakes happen, especially in a loud environment, but the attitude felt unnecessary over a simple misunderstanding. We ended up leaving and went to Japonica around the corner instead, where the service was much friendlier.

Wont give you water at the bar and they won't bring any to your table so you have to wait in line for the bathroom to get water...gross

Ready to go all in on the Jeepney (out of curiosity. I've never actually been to the Philippines, so wouldn't have been able to judge). Bartender says, "um. We're pretty low on food" and proceeds to cover the entire bottom half of the menu (which is the pizza), leaving only the bar bites as available. So: heated up frozen pretzel was solid. And hot when delivered. The beer was tasty. Could prob warrant a fourth star for the space. But since I walked almost two miles for the pizza, and now have to solve separately for dinner, pretty disappointed. So was gonna do three stars. But Todd (the bartender) was super nice at the end, gave me the back story (busy weekend = no pizza), so redeemed the fourth star. Will prob go back to try the pizza. Just not on a Tuesday.

They put the toppings on the bottom and then the sauce, just like you're at Lou Malnati's or another Chicago place. I love that they sell it by the slice(!) for their flavor of the day. The home sauce was very tasty and I got a few extras to dip my fries in. Speaking of fries, they are fried in beef tallow. That's all fine and well but the most important part was the fact that they survived my 15 minute drive home and were still crispy and tasty. This was overall very enjoyable and I suspect that they'll have more locations opening up in the not so distant future.

Yesterday (18 years later), my brother and I walked into Stuft Pizza to pick up some pizzas for his son's 1st birthday party. Time flies. Right when we walked in, I was hit with a wave of nostalgia as the interior is nearly the exact same. It's nice when everything in your life can change, but the Stuft Pizzas of the world don't. It really had me reflecting on my journey through life. After the nostalgia wore off, the smells of fresh pies being developed began to dominate my senses. I forgot how good this pizza was. It has a crusty undercarriage and ample sauce to cheese ratio, which is my preferred slice. Y'all can keep the $30 Slice and Pint pie and the flop it comes with. I ordered a medium pizza with extra marinara sauce, black olives, mushrooms, and bell peppers. Unfortunately, the pizza arrived with no marinara sauce at all and no black olives. There were a few dark/blackened pieces on the mushrooms that may have looked like olives at first glance, but they were not olives. I called the restaurant simply to let them know there had been a mistake. The employee who answered told me she couldn't do anything without the owner's approval, so I asked to speak with the owner. I was then asked to send a photo of the pizza, which I did. The owner then told me that she personally made the pizza and insisted that she had added the sauce and olives. I explained that they were not on the pizza and provided the requested photo. Instead of addressing the issue or offering a reasonable solution, I was accused of trying to "scam" the business. Unfortunately, my experience after eating the pizza was also unpleasant. My son developed a stomach ache shortly afterward, and I experienced diarrhea. I cannot say for certain that the pizza caused these symptoms, but given the overall experience, it was concerning. After being a customer for years, I was extremely disappointed by both the order and, more importantly, how the complaint was handled. I would have been satisfied with simply having the mistake acknowledged and corrected. Instead, I was accused of trying to scam the business. Based on this experience, I personally will not be returning. I also plan to report my concerns to the appropriate health authorities and dispute the charge with my bank. I'm sharing this review because I think customers should know what my experience was--not because I expect special treatment, but because I expected the order I paid for and reasonable customer service when a mistake was made.
