Used to be a great local pizza place - Keep your order to Pizza and ask for a little extra sauce on the phone or in person. Garlic Knots changed their recipe to "Garlic Salt" instead of actual Garlic so DO NOT ORDER THEM. Ricardo used to make the best. I think he still works there, but the change to Garlic Salt was a BAD IDEA. Used to be the best local pizza place but has gone downhill a bit. Pizza itself is still good but a bit pricey now too. I am a local who has lived here 20 years and used to go to the old place in Playa Del Rey next to Yum Yum doughnuts. Not bad, but not great anymore unfortunately. read more

Came back to this gem in this little city, staff always friendly and welcoming. You definitely need to beat the high school traffic, kids love this place because great pizza great prize, pizza taste fresh, great dough fresh ingredients amazing taste. I work in Westchester and my friend and I have decided to try all of the local pizza places just for fun. This was our first! I'd been here before for the slice deal but wanted to try something new so I personalized my own pizza with pesto sauce, garlic, spinach, and mushrooms. Great combination of flavors. The crust was the right amount of crisp. I appreciated the amount of mushrooms and that they still looked like mushrooms, not shriveled overcooked mushroom. The cost was more than I expected but I was aware that there would be extra charges for special sauce and for ingredients. Considering their market is college students I feel like they can find like a 2-ingredient pizza deal that is less or someway to make it more affordable to them and also to local employees who want a reasonable lunch deal but want more variety than the slice deal. I actually would give it closer to 3.5 stars (which I still wish was a feature on here). And most of the stars are for the service. Everyone there was really nice and we ordered to go but they made sure we had what we needed before we left. I ordered a personal pizza and my boyfriend had chicken wings. My boyfriend loved his chicken wings and he said he would get them again. My pizza was ok but it definitely wasn't cooked enough. Was closer to the soggy side and the sauce seemed a bit sweet but when I put it in the over again it was better. I would go back but I would try something else. read more

The pizza was ok. It reminded us of cheap pizza you would get at an Arcade. Not bad but not great either. The crust was soggy and the slices did not hold their shape. The cheese was good but the sauce, generic. We also got the Garlic bread which lacked Garlic and was Dry. As for the Salad which was a Ceasars shrimp salad. The item was disappointing and lacked any craft. It was a bunch of Chopped lettuce, cold mini shrimps, and a packet of Kenns salad dressing. For the price you pay, none of the items were worth it. I would suggest the company to work on the quality of the product and show some effort in making it stand out. One element that you do have is good service and that is a win. read more

I ordered two Italian Chopped salads yesterday for the Super Bowl. Alejo's was closed, and I was in a pinch--big mistake. The moment I opened the containers, I threw them straight in the trash. The salads were clearly made with borderline expired, pre-chopped greens that were gray and wilted, topped with absurdly large chunks of random packaged deli meat. Each came with half a tomato thrown in and a packet of Ken's pre-made dressing. Charging $15 per salad for this garbage is outrageous. They should be ashamed of serving food of this quality. Terrible customer service. I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza directly from the store for $36, and it was delivered cold by DoorDash -- even though I didn't place the order through them. When I called the store, Jet was incredibly dismissive. He told me to take it up with DoorDash and couldn't care less. Just ordered spaghetti and meatballs for my daughter. Was delivered as penne and meatballs. Called Beach Pizza Westchester and the man who answered the phone said all of their pasta is penne. They don't even have spaghetti. He was surprised to know that the pictures on their website are of spaghetti and that the description is "meatballs with marinara sauce and spaghetti pasta". Gave the Westchester Beach Pizza another chance after new owner ask for us to give them another chance. The result is even worse experience under the new ownership. Here is what happened this time. Today 9/29 4 of my family members are working from home. We decided to give Beach Pizza another chance. My wife places her order for the pizza for all of us 20 minutes in advance of our lunch time. She waited the 20 minutes then took her lunch to go and pick up the pizza. About 15 minutes to drive and walk in to get pizza this is now 40 minutes after placing the order. She arrives at Beach Pizza to get it and discovers it has not even been started. Keep in mind this is 40 minutes after calling it in and being told 20 minutes. The person tells my wife it will be 20 more minutes as the pizza has not been started yet. She overheard the worker asking the status of her order from the new owner. His response to the worker " A BIG ORDER CAME IN" this would have had to have happened after my wife placed her order. My wife and all our lunch periods are just about over it's 50 minutes after she first called in the order. The new owner dosen't care when you place your order he only cares about the " Big Order" Thanks for ruining the lunch for the 4 of us. We live in Westchester and in the past had been really good patrons of Beach Pizza. Do not patronize the Westchester Beach Pizza He does not know the meaning of customer service.
