My family and I stayed in Manhattan Beach for a few days on our PCH adventure. After a long, fun day on the beach and playing in the ocean we just wanted to chill and not have to drive to a restaurant. We decided to pop into Beach Pizza to enjoy a relaxing dinner. BEST DECISION!!!! The staff was incredibly friendly, helped us make a great decision on what to order (we couldn't make up our minds). We didn't have to wait long (even on a summer Friday night!). We took our leftovers to go, and went happily back to our VRBO. When we had a late night craving we reheated it and it tasted even better! We love to support local whenever we can, but it's not always great. The Beach Pizza restaurant however is AMAZING!! Do NOT pay attention to the other bad reviews! We're kind of snobby about our pizza (we have family friends who own a 4th generation Italian restaurant) and this is absolutely delicious!! Price was good! Food is great! Service great!! I've been coming to this pizza spot for years and have never had an issue with my orders or the customer service--until now. I ordered a medium pizza with extra marinara sauce, black olives, mushrooms, and bell peppers. Unfortunately, the pizza arrived with no marinara sauce at all and no black olives. There were a few dark/blackened pieces on the mushrooms that may have looked like olives at first glance, but they were not olives. I called the restaurant simply to let them know there had been a mistake. The employee who answered told me she couldn't do anything without the owner's approval, so I asked to speak with the owner. I was then asked to send a photo of the pizza, which I did. The owner then told me that she personally made the pizza and insisted that she had added the sauce and olives. I explained that they were not on the pizza and provided the requested photo. Instead of addressing the issue or offering a reasonable solution, I was accused of trying to "scam" the business. Unfortunately, my experience after eating the pizza was also unpleasant. My son developed a stomach ache shortly afterward, and I experienced diarrhea. I cannot say for certain that the pizza caused these symptoms, but given the overall experience, it was concerning. After being a customer for years, I was extremely disappointed by both the order and, more importantly, how the complaint was handled. I would have been satisfied with simply having the mistake acknowledged and corrected. Instead, I was accused of trying to scam the business. Based on this experience, I personally will not be returning. I also plan to report my concerns to the appropriate health authorities and dispute the charge with my bank. I'm sharing this review because I think customers should know what my experience was--not because I expect special treatment, but because I expected the order I paid for and reasonable customer service when a mistake was made. read more

Beach Pizza in Manhattan Beach is definitely a local favorite. Even with the mix of reviews it gets, I think it's worth checking out if you're craving good pizza near the beach. They have plenty of specialty pizza selections on the menu, plus the option to build your own. You can choose from regular crust, gluten-free crust, or what might be the best cauliflower crust around. One of my favorite specialty options is the Del Ray -- a great twist on a basic vegetarian pizza with sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, garlic, and Parmesan eggplant adds a really nice flavor. The dining area is small, but honestly that's part of the charm. It's easy to grab your pizza to go and walk a few steps to the beach to enjoy it while watching the sunset. The staff is also very friendly, which makes the experience even better. Definitely a solid spot if you're in Manhattan Beach and want pizza with a beachside vibe. read more

I've been ordering from here for almost my entire life and I'm not sure what has happened to the service recently. It's a Friday night, they are open, and there is no way to reach them. Their website sends you to Slice and the app says they are closed (they are open). You call and they put you on hold for 30mins before disconnecting you. If I want to order from them, I end up having to pay a premium to order from their Westchester location because I can't get an order in with the Manhattan location. Tonight is the last straw. I love the pizza, but I've spend two hours trying to reach them and it isn't worth it anymore. read more

We've been ordering from Beach Pizza almost every Friday through Uber Eats, but tonight was by far our worst experience. We ordered a fully customized pizza and received a completely different pizza than what we paid for. To make matters worse, the wings were absolutely disgusting, overcooked, dry, and honestly inedible. Our Uber Eats driver waited 52 minutes because the restaurant claimed they were making us a "fresh pizza," yet what we received clearly wasn't fresh and wasn't even the correct order. Waiting nearly an hour only to get the wrong food is beyond frustrating. It's really disappointing because this has been our go-to Friday night spot, but after this experience, we'll definitely be reconsidering ordering from Beach Pizza again. read more

Do not eat here! The kitchen is healthy dirty! They don't have enough employees in the kitchen so it's dirty and the walking refrigerator is disgusting! Most of their employees don't have a good handlers card. The owners new wife has taken over running it since April and she has fired employees that have worked here for years and others have quit because of how she tests people. She had no restaurant experience and it showed through their food and service. You will have to wait 3-5 hours for a pizza on friday and saturday nights. Wanted a quick bite before a night out in Manhattan Beach. Came across this pizzeria that had real nice beach vibes! Upon arrival we were greeted by Cynthia who had exemplary customer service! She gave us a real good suggestion for pizza that gave us a bang for our buck. The pizza was very delicious, in which all the toppings were savory. Every bite you could tasted the mozzarella cheese that was complemented with the BBQ sauce the purple onions, pineapple and chicken blended well together! Although the wings weren't as big as I liked, it was pretty hot and spicy! Thank so much for the extra ranch. Today, my friends and I placed an online order, and it said the estimated time was 7:25 pm. We arrived at that time, and were told to wait another 10-15 minutes. This repeated until 8:05 when we finally got our food. The workers tried to lie about our estimated time as well, plus excusing the extended wait for our food on a busy crowd; which besides 2 people drinking beers, were not found in the restaurant. We couldn't excuse the extra 40 minute wait on our order especially because the food was just okay. All around horrible service. read more

I had pizza delivered from here for a work meeting. We got the Meat Lovers and the Pesto Chicken Hero Pizza and they were okay. Your standard pizza quality, but they could've done more with the crusts like making them salty and buttery, they just felt like plain mouth fulls of bread. The chicken wings were pretty good though, crispy, meaty, and had nice flavor. The garlic knots were a bit disappointing, they felt like crusts. Nothing flavor or texture wise made them great. The salad was the saddest thing the though, it felt like school cafeteria quality salad. No fresh or homemade dressing, just dressing from a pack you would find at a regular cafeteria. It was also hard to eat since they were big pieces of lettuce. Would've been nice if they were chopped up more. Also, they didn't give us plates, napkins, or utensils? Never again and I had been going here for many, many years. My husband ordered a pizza for delivery last week and it came with very little cheese and toppings nearly missing (except for one slice with 10+ pineapple chunk pieces). Promptly called Beach Pizza and was instructed to send a photo. Two hours later got a text that was akin to an FBI questioning on why we ate the pizza in those two hours (guess my kids were supposed to wait two hours for dinner). Owner finally said they would leave a refund at the register. We then received two texts meant for someone named "Steve," threatening to call the police if he ever came back to Beach Pizza. We replied, "Was this meant for someone else?" No reply, even to just say "Sorry, wrong text chain." Went in tonight to pick up refund. Owner wouldn't come to counter and refused to refund our money for the pizza that was VERY subpar. Honestly, at that point it was less about the money than the principal. How about, at the very least, they refund us as a gesture for sending aggressive text messages to the wrong customer. It was all bizarre. We won't be back. Order at your own risk. read more

I placed & paid my delivery order at 12:30 PM on Slice to be delivered at 4:45 PM on Mother's Day for the 6 grandkids. The adult dinner was ready at 5 PM. When I called at 5:15 to ask where the pizzas were, I was told that my order had never been processed. Even though I had received a confirmation from Slice. Pizza arrived 6:15 The manager apologized & blamed the day manager. Just like corporate America! They still charged me! Pretty funny. Don't plan ahead with these guys. read more

Chose Beach Pizza for dinner as it was a walkable distance. It's fine. It is pizza that isn't horrible, but also not anything to seek out. While the crust was nice and fluffy, the toppings are so stingy. We got a large buffalo pizza with extra cheese, and each slice had about 3-4 small pieces of chicken on it. The buffalo flavor was pretty faint - I basically felt like I was eating a cheese pizza for $28. Been going to Beach Pizza for years. Ordered delivery and now they have a fee if order is not over 30.00. Ours was 51.44 but I asked to make sure it was free. The girl said yes but if it was on the receipt the driver would refund it. Well he said no charge and I signed the charge and after looking at it we were charged. Came here after walking my dog around Manhattan Beach area, thinking it would be a nice spot to get some dinner. Ordered a large pizza and was told it would be around 20-25 minutes. Needless to say, took about 50 minutes to get a single large pizza. I get that it's a Saturday night and it's busy but there needs to be proper expectations as the staff seemed discombobulated and scattered. If you want a pizza be prepared to wait too long for it before you get on with your day/evening. As far as the pizza goes, it wasn't bad. Wasn't great neither.
