We decided to have breakfast here with some friends. The wait was reasonable, about 15 minutes for a party of four. They do not accept reservations. The host was friendly. The aesthetics of the place is plain but it is bustling with people. Took over 10 minutes for the waiter to take our order. In the meantime, one of the managers (a pleasant Asian woman) brought us our coffee. We ordered the Kin's Sunshine, the BeaBea's Omelet, the California Omelet and the Heart-to-Heart Omelet. The French toast for my Kin's Sunshine order looked great but was flavorless. The rest really liked their omelets. Why not 5 stars? The waiter. As another Yelper noted about the waiters here, he was simply an order taker. All he said to us the entire time was "are you ready to order" and never saw him again. Other people brought the food and the bill. Will we be back? Maybe.

My husband and I walked in to Bea Bea's around 8:15 on a weekday and were seated right away. The parking is a big lot that the restaurant shares with several other stores, and was very easy to find. We decided to split the volcano scramble and matcha pancakes. The scramble was very good! I liked the mix of ingredients and the tortilla strips added a nice crunchy texture. The matcha pancakes were delicious as well, and very filling. I could probably do with an even stronger matcha flavor. Prices were a bit expensive so it's a nice place to splurge on once in a while.

We've been meaning to try this place for a while but there's always a long wait whenever we call since it's so popular during peak times (weekend brunch etc.) We ended up going for lunch on a Friday so there was plenty of seating. We ordered a breakfast quesadilla, loco moco, and split a crepe. Everything was excellent! The crepe was a bit more like a thin pancake than an actual crepe but it was really good. The parking is really easy too which is helpful. The only drawback is it can be a bit pricey. Our meal for 2 came out to $100 which seemed steep for brunch.

My friend and I were looking for a place to meet up for brunch today and she recommended Bea Bea. This location is in a strip mall with plenty of parking. We went around 11 and there was just a little 15 minute wait. I ordered the Volcano Scramble with Chicken and no tortilla strips, and a Thai tea latte. She ordered pancakes and eggs and bacon. She said the pancakes were light and fluffy. And I loved my volcano scramble. I love the heat with the jalapeño and the chilies, especially the verde salsa. The Thai latte was really good but a little sweet. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. Definitely add this place to your bookmark.

Had a quick breakfast stop at this place after a local recommended it! There was no wait, it was spacious and clean. There is outdoor seating which we preferred since the weather was amazing! The waitress was kind and provided us a high chair and kids plate for our daughter. The local warned us that the portions are huge so we decided to share and I'm happy we did because she wasn't kidding! We shared the blueberry lemon toccata pancakes with egg and sausage. Man oh man was this delicious! Not too sweet which was great for a dessert breakfast like this! The eggs were nice and the sausage wasn't too salty. This location is say is a little grocery but for the portion, it makes sense. We enjoyed our time here and would come back and share some more items on the menu!

This was a nice little diner - come for the pancakes because its what they do best honestly :) My family and I ordered the pancakes (obviously) and found their many options to all taste pretty good! Their breakfast foods are also good but I wouldnt sing any praises on their eggs being better than the next place, let's put it that way. The service is pleasant. These are locals to Burbank and therefore friendly, because most patrons are also Burbank neighbors. It's not upscale or themed, but very standard limit of Diner; which is misleading when you compare it to their awesome pancake options. I would come here if you haven't already. This is a good spot for breakfast! Pancakies!

Wowie! What a great way to start the day. First, the customer service was lovely. We were seated immediately and were greeted by our waitress. I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk, it was a bit too sweet for my taste but did the job. Now for the star of the show, the food! Eggs and bacon were delicious...but their pumpkin pancakes WOW. The sauce was delicious, there was no syrup necessary since it was already rich with sauce. The pancakes were fluffy and rich with pumpkin. I will be dreaming about these pumpkins. I'm going to come back and try more yummy pancakes!! In short, do I recommend Bea Bea's? Absolutely

VEGAN OPTION!!!! I LOVE this place. This food is fresh. The staff is amazing. My girl at the front the hostess is always so sweet. I never asked her her name. I will definitely find out her name today. I wish they still had the option to get on the waiting list from Yelp or online. I ordered the same thing all the time tofu scramble no veggie sausage and vegan pancakes... Hubby had a spinach, chicken cheese omelette. We sat outside in the back. There was a person that had a big dog that sat behind us. When the people were leaving, the dog licked my husband's plate with the pancakes. I know that's no fault of the restaurant but maybe there's a way that they don't sit anyone in the back unless they do have an animal. That kind of ruined my whole vibe.

Bea Bea's is a great spot for breakfast/brunch. If you're a pancake lover like me, I highly recommend giving this place a try. I ordered pancakes and they were freshly made and syrup added more flavor to the pancakes. I liked the chocolate flavor on my pancake. I really enjoyed my latte. It tasted really good. As a latter, I enjoyed it very much. Service was great. Staff were friendly and very attentive. It can be busy during the weekend, but it is easy to find a table. I prefer this location over Glendale one for parking. This location is located in a shopping plaza. It makes finding parking spots easy.

Bea Bea's is Breakfast! This continuous top notch Burbank spot has some of the best early morning eats and sips in LA, and absolutely top tier in the San Fernando Valley. I've been coming here for year, even celebrating birthdays, including my own for brunch with friends, loved ones and colleagues. You can almost always expect a wait on weekends from 8am (when they open) until just before they close at 2:30pm. Open 7 days a week for breakfast, brunch and lunch this Pass Avenue spot is definitely one you want to try. Family-Owned - serving up vibrance, excitement, quality and casual experiences to any and all. They definitely stay busy, but that doesn't take away from their service in any way. I've been lucky enough to enjoy the Blue Hawaiian, Banana PB Crunch (hold the cream) and Pacific Island pancakes (vegan versions, as they offer) a few times among many other items like the The Vegan Wrap, Tofu Salad, Veggie Sausage, Veggie Chorizo and super sides to name a few. I remember them having a veggie (garden) burger at some point (which seems to be no longer available). The do offer a Grilled Portobello Sandwich which is vegetarian, but can be made vegan. You can have your pick of pancakes, waffles, french toasts, crepes, omelettes, burritos, quesadillas, sandwiches, burgers, salads, wraps, scrambles, frittatas, egg concoctions, "the good stuff (huge plate combos)" and more. At Bea Bea's they aim to please so you can substitute as needed, especially to accommodate any restrictions with the exception of their Win's Sunlight special and Jacinda's First Blush which are both clearly labeled with the "no... substitutions" on their extensive menu. At one point they used Yelp Reservations which was a dream, but you still had to be there in order to put your name on the list. Or at least someone from your party. For beverages it's quite a lot from juice to coffee to tea, soft drinks/soda/pop, still or sparkling water to #QuenchYourThirst - Bea Bea's doesn't serve any drinks with alcohol (though I'd imagine if they ever did/do in the future it would mostly be a beer and wine type place). You can find B.B.'s in the Vons parking lot with other gems like the Nail Garden, Fantastic Sam's, The Roguelike Tavern, select small businesses and popular chains. Additionally they have a sibling location in Glendale that open in 2019, that is pretty okay, but nothing beats the original that's been serving up good food and good times since 2008 in the 818. Q Tips: It's a bit intimate, though spacious at the same time with many of the tables and chairs spaced to allow room for you, your table and the servers, but not more else, especially on a Saturday or Sunday morning. They now charge $2 extra for vegan or gluten free pancakes (which are incredible) as well as $3.50 extra for real maple syrup. A huge amount of parking between their shared lot and local street parking. You can enter from Pass off the street or through the main parking lot entrance which also is stairs free. Outdoor seating is available and most enjoyable on nice weather days for sure. Come on in and explore!

    From Bea Bea's menu

We've been long time customers of Bea Beas, eating there or getting take out from their brunch menu. As busy as it is, food is generally satisfyingly good, service pleasant and efficient. This review is only for their Thomas's Loco Moco which we have often enjoyed in the past, except today. We got it for take out to eat at home. Their kitchen "sneakily" added about a teaspoonful of finely minced jalapeno peppers which wasn't even an ingredient before. In fact, the menu description below (see photo) didn't include jalapeño. Here is why I say "sneakily". This is how the Loco Moco was assembled:from the bottom to top--white rice, hamburger patty, minced jalapeno (not indicated on the menu), 2 eggs totally covering and hiding the jalapeños, gravy smothering the dish, then chopped cilantro on top. Why am I writing about this? The reason is because one of my family members was eating the Loco Moco not knowing that jalapeños were added. Not used to eating spicy food, her throat almost closed up from the spiciness of the minced jalapeños that she unknowingly ingested since it was hidden under the eggs and gravy. Luckily, milk and water were on the table to remedy the situation. Bea Beas should alert their kitchen to only use the ingredients indicated on their menu. We've ordered this item for years and though the menu said spicy beef patty, it didn't have minced jalapeños. At best, we used to only taste a hint of black pepper. If you want to incorporate jalapenos on your Loco Moco, put it on the side so the customer can see the jalapeños and can have the discretion of adding it or not.

Ehhhh. This fell into my overpriced breakfast spot as soon as I scanned the QR code. I had heard good things and it's always busy so I was hopeful. We were sat right away today but unfortunately it did not impress. $16.95 for two eggs, bacon toast and hashbrowns. Now I'm not a big fan of sides included so I thought hey a la carte... $7.50 for two eggs $7.50 for 4 pieces of bacon. Our server said I should get the meal, it's cheaper. We sprung for one iced coffee just to taste it and see if it was worth the $4.95. It was decent. Walking out of there I spent $54 on breakfast. Two waters, two entrees, one coffee. I'm sorry. I know things are getting more and more expensive these days, but holy cow I never want to spend $50 on a basic breakfast again.

    Thai Beef Salad

TLDR: 4.5/5 - Great service, Huge menu with tasty well portioned meals, can be long wait times during peak hours but I'd consider it worth it. I've had an array of dishes here over the years but here are the latest, both of them lunch options. Veggie Salad: 4.5/5 When it comes to breakfast brunch spots I don't expect lunch section to be anything outstanding. The salad however sort of wowed me. Its simple really but quite tasty. The vegetables were nicely sauteed over a bed of salad greens. The sauce paired I paired it with was nice (I believe their chinese ginger) although because of that it made the cheese a weird choice so glad to have asked that on the side. Thai Beef Salad: 4/5 I'd probably chose the Veggie over Thai. The veggie had more going on. The thai beef was essentially a flank steak over a bed of greens and cucumber. Simple but if the beef wasn't so chewy then I probably would've enjoyed it more. I chose their ginger dressing again and I also asked for them to put their spicy sauce that comes with it on the side. Good move!! Its quite hot but if you blend the two I think it'd be a good kick without it being too overpowering. Green Matcha w Oatmilk: 4/5 Probably not the most authentic but they give you a Big Gulp size (for any of their drinks so....could be worth it just based on the quantity? Loco Moco: Haven't tried it but it is a team favorite! If anything I could also give them points on consistency! Service: 5/5 Very accommodating even for super big crowds! Last time I was there we had a table of 11 and the server treated us all equally and was very attentive, made substitutions and recommendations. Other Notes: Obviously this being still a very popular breakfast spot expect a wait even upwards to 12 noon/depending on your party. Parking: Located in a plaza so parking is not an issue. Come hungry!

We've been doing that for a few years now, so that should tell you something right there. Our order is fairly consistent: we each start with a mimosa that comes in a highball glass, so one is usually all we need. Next, we share an order of kimchi biscuits (you get two). So delicious! Packed full of kimchi, bacon and cheddar cheese, it's a nice combo of flavors that play well together. The interior is usually soft and warm, with a nice crunchy crust. Top that with a smatter of the cinnamon butter that it comes with...yum! Our choice of entree varies, anything from avocado toast, to their kale and seaweed salad or any of their other selections they have from their brunch/lunch menu. On this outing, my friend and I both opted for the bibimbap. I opted for the pork bulgogi while my friend got the chicken version. It comes with a generous amount of carrots, zucchini, shiitake mushrooms and bean sprouts, and is topped with a runny, sunny side up egg that serves as an excellent sauce when you mix everything together, along with the gochujang sauce. We upgraded and got it with brown rice in the hot stone bowl. Worth it! The regular bibimbap is good, but when you mix in the crunchy crust that comes from the bottom of the stone bowl, you get an additional texture that makes the dish really stand out. The flavors already come together nicely, and the crunchy bits just enhance the experience. For dessert, we like to share the "lemon pie", which is actually a scoop of lemon gelato that comes in a glass that also includes graham crackers, topped with toasted marshmallows. A nice way to end the meal. And the staff! We usually either have Justin or Ann as our server, but everyone there is super friendly and helpful. They are consistently good at checking up on you and making sure you have everything you need. Just another 5 star reason of why we keep coming back!

If you need something to chase away your Sunday night blues, you've got to get down to Toluca Lake and come to Forman's. This is an upper crust, high-end whiskey tavern with excellent food and sumptuous alcohol and a beautiful beer garden. There is really no place like it. I just sat outside on a beautiful Sunday evening in the balmy weather, with a cocoa and coffee infused old-fashioned with a fig in my hand, watching the game and savoring a fried chicken salad with chunks of avocado and sliced red grapes in a buttermilk ranch dressing. It wasn't simple a "comment in passing," I can give you some pretty graphic details from the conversation, but I don't think they are appropriate for a restaurant review. Feel free to check footage to see how long I had to wait for a break in their "comment in passing." I don't love the implication that I'm either being untruthful or overestimating the seriousness of discussing children and intercourse in the same breath in this news cycle. I take it seriously, as do my family, friends and neighbors. I wish wholeheartedly you had just stuck with your first response. This used to be our neighborhood go-to, but after the strange interaction I had today, I probably won't be back. I approached the bar to order at three minutes before 3. This is notable because lunch ends at three, happy hour begins at three. There was no acknowledgment of my arrival, but no big deal. There was a man seated at the bar who was ready to order. Also fine. He asked if "this was a bar" and "do you have beer," and then said "it's happy hour, right? What's a minute or two." The female bartender with glasses says, "yeah, no problem." She pours his beer, processes his payment. Then, instead of approaching me to take my order, begins a bizarre conversation about middle schoolers having intercourse on school trips. Weird choice to make in our current social climate, but to each their own? While I waited for a break in their conversation, my dog said hi to another patron. As soon as I found an opportunity to speak, I asked if I could still get the lunch special. It was literally 3:01. I was told that since it was a minute after, it wasn't possible to even place the order, that the "button changes." So, the minute mattered for lunch, but not for happy hour. If we hadn't been discussing teenage coitus, the button still would have been accessible. I went elsewhere.

I already had breakfast but she was feeling good and starving for Aeirloom. She ALWAYS gets the Sunny Sandwich with potatoes. Every single time. She LOVES it. Since I had my disappointing breakfast, I got Bread Friends. A huge assortment of toast with homemade jam. You can't go wrong with toast, especially artisan toast. Fantastic. Very fresh and homemade. It's a pretty large space on the corner. There is street parking and a small lot behind the restaurant. Our server was wonderful! He kept her Arnold Palmer filled and perfectly poured. She said they make their own tea.

It is an amazing restaurant with all organic food, all made to order and served with a smile. They are dedicated to serving only the finest organic foods and coffees. The place is just beautiful, inside and out and you will get the best service, be it if you eat there or go to the bakery area that is amazing. They have indoor and outdoor seating. You can get a meal there or eat their wonderful pastries. If my camera does not start working better I am going to throw it though a wall. There were some dishes I had or have had and asked if they could take a photo for me. They did better, they just directed me to where I could grab some of their amazing items. We have had them all. The bakery is the best. You will love their cakes and pastries. It is all just so great and never stale. I love any of their chocolate cakes. Their food is to die for. The only thing I did not love was their eggs because I did not like the bread it came with. I bet I could have changed it, but it was good. They have wonderful soft tacos and their salads are great. They even have burgers, but I have not tried them. They have a French toast that you can add whatever you want to and it is served so you put what you want on it. We love their benedicts. I have had one with scrambled eggs and a salad that was heaven. All of their fruit bowls are the best. They have something for everyone. Their prices are a tad high, but you get what you pay for, great organic food. What truly makes Aeirloom special is the community they have. Everyone is so nice and more than once we have seen the same people there.

Music was kinda loud that it was kinda hard to converse with friends. Bartenders we're nice, although it took awhile for our orders to be served. Quesadilla and garlic fries we're not bad choices. I Just can't say the same to the chicken tenders. Parking is residential so a little walk shouldn't be a problem. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to visit this bar again.

Pros: free parking in the back, bartender is friendly, food is offered, space is large. Cons: food and drinks were bad, games were minimal, damaged, with pieces everywhere, staff was off putting Examples: - my friend ordered a hot chocolate and said it was the worst she's ever had. The water to powder ratio made it more like tea. She asked for more powder. They brought out a Swiss Miss packet, and made passive aggressive comments about how they were going above and beyond for her and they should charge her double (she's not a picky person so for her to complain you know it's bad) - we only found three games in the place but they were small plastic things like flick the ball into the hoop with all pieces out of the boxes and laying randomly under a tv tray behind a bar table - the food wasn't very good - the waiter didn't remember he needed my payment for the two hours I was there - the menu was basically non existent because their fryer was down and so they couldn't offer most items - it was dark and hard to see anything - the owner and her relative took over our hangout for around 30-40 min, asking us to bring in our "actor friends" and help them get more business.

I fell in love before i even saw the menu. Now don't even get me started on that world class water. Best water I've ever consumed. Perfectly cold and delectably drinkable. They have a whole freaking sign for their sauces and dips. I'm in love. I got a Shirley temple and if i could marry a place instead of a person, the Shirley temple would be my reason. It was FANTASTIC. Our server, Isaiah, was absolutely amazing and on top of things, refilling our water before we even hit half glass. Not to mention his energy and vibe was so welcoming and fun. We got the PuPu platter for two, came out within minutes, I could spend the rest of my life eating that alone. Isaiah recommended his favorite sauces, Garlic Chive and Chipotle Citrus, they were amazing. We got the shrimp and lobster roll, I officially entered heaven. The Isles of Club sandwich was the finishing touch that had me laughing from joy. Near the end of our dining we meant Max, another server, who is absolutely fantastic, brought us everything we needed, boxes, sauce containers, bags, to-go dessert. His energy was also amazing and super fun. Now some extra things to note: -I'm not a big mac salad girly, but holy moly guacamole i loved their Mac salad. -anything tempura/fried in this place is heaven itself -their fries are perfect -the vibe is beyond life you might start crying in joy -be ready to want to buy everything on the menu and then some -I downloaded yelp just to leave this review Overall, Broken Compass Tiki is the perfect place for everyone. Their service is top tier, the food is delicious, the water is a treasure, and so much more. I will be back and I hope everyone has a chance of experiencing pure joy at this place.

Broken Compass Tiki is a pirate themed tiki bar in Burbank…read more They don't having a parking lot, but it was very easy to find street parking just around the corner on a Sunday afternoon. The front of the building is a little vaguely marked, and the entrance has speakeasy vibes, which was a surprise. Upon walking in the front door, there is some tiki décor and a small counter in the rear. I remember thinking to myself "what the heck, this is it?". I checked in at the host stand on the left, and was handed me a boarding pass. She then led us through a hidden door behind what looked like a shipping crate. We were now in the real Broken Compass. The interior is a good size. The two-sided bar seats around a dozen. There is a lounge side of the bar that has two large booths along the wall, and another area with comfortable looking couches and lounge chairs. The main dining room has some tiki hut booths, and two sections of tables with half booth and half chair. The décor is pretty extensive with a good mix of pirate, nautical, and tiki themes. There is a lot of bamboo, thatch, rope, cargo netting, skulls and skeletons, port holes, octopus tentacles, jellyfish, tiki lights, and more. The ceiling is dark with various nautical and pirate markings, and even tied up ship sails overhead. The tiki hut booths have the parrots from the enchanted tiki room above them. Even the two restrooms are nautical themed, with beach and marine sounds playing. There is a lot of great décor to look at. We arrived around 2pm on a Sunday, so it wasn't very busy yet. By the time we left a few hours later, it was starting to get busy. We decided to sit at the bar. We started out with the buffalo cauliflower ($14) for an afternoon snack. The serving size was generous, and the buffalo sauce had a good tang. It was served with some sauces, and was surprisingly filling. A nice feature of the cocktail menu is that each drink displays one to three compass stars to indicate the strength of the drink. Their cocktails use a great variety of liquors including ones you don't often see. Many of the ingredients are made in-house. I started out with Chupacabra's Vacation (Demerara Rum, Jamacian Rum, Pomegranate Reduction, Cinnamon, Lime Juice, Bitters, two-star boozy rank, $17). It is served with a flaming lime on top and a little fire show. It was balanced with a light booziness, some light pomegranate flavor, and a cinnamon sprinkle on top. She started out with the Bittersweet Paradise (Jamacian Rum, White Rum, Campari, Passionfruit Syrup, Lemon, Lime, Pineapple, two-star boozy rank, $18). It didn't drink boozy at all, and was passion fruit forward, with light bitterness. My second cocktail was the Bermuda Dune Buggy (Gin, Overproof Rum, Kumquat Liqueur, Cassis, Orange, Lime, Bitters, two-star boozy rank, $18). It had a very unique garnish of a Chartreuse infused gummy which was delicious. The drink was nicely balanced, and didn't really drink boozy even with overproof rum in it. They have a rotating monthly cocktail and she tried the Tropic Like It's Hot (Coconut Washed Lemongrass Infused Rum, Mango, Lemon, Coconut Water, Amaro, $17) which was created by one of our bartenders Daniel. It was served in a Spam can and was light and refreshing with a nice pop of fruit at the start, and a very nice coconut flavor. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and had great conversation with our bartenders Daniel and Monica. They also provided excellent service. Broken Compass supports payment with the InKind app which gives you 20% back (10% on Friday and Saturday) in InKind cash. We had a really great time here, and the drinks, food, décor, and atmosphere were excellent. I purchased a Hork (Horse-shaRK) mug for $50 to bring home as a souvenir. We would definitely return again when in the area.

It's a hell of a good time. I really enjoyed the chicken taco and carne asada taco. The meats were juicy and very flavorful. I also ordered their nachos, chili cheese fries and bread pudding. The nachos were made perfectly with the chips being thin and crispy. They used a couple different cheeses and the jalapeños were a nice touch. Definitely ordering it again, I can do without the chili cheese fries. It was good but it wasn't amazing. Their bread pudding was HUGE and I can see why it's one of the popular items here. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft and gooey in the inside. Morrisons is definitely a fun place to be. Perfect to enjoy happy hour, catch the games on, and hang out friends. Located inside Hotel Amarano (also a hidden gem), FYC (For Your Consideration) emits a classy ambience and a cozy vibe. This is a place where celebrities will come to dine because their privacy is respected. It's intimate enough for date night but also a perfect spot to catch up with friends. Of course, Te-See & I are always dressed to the nines regardless of where we go, but this time our fashionable wardrobe was the perfect attire for this chic lounge. Libby (director of sales & marketing) even came over to tell us how fabulous we both looked. We had an enjoyable conversation with her, and she told us many wonderful things about Hotel Amarano. I'll definitely recommend it to visitors and may even book a staycation for myself. Norm the bartender was friendly and attentive - engaging us with lively banter. I had the Bouquet of Roses - a refreshing combination of Kettle One Peach & Orange Blossom vodka, Lillet Rosé, Rosé wine, & peach purée. It was perfect for the summer evening. Te-See had the Spicy Passionfruit Paloma - minus the spicy. It was also very tasty. Anton also had the Paloma but spicy. I compared the two and liked the spicy version better. I had to leave before food was ordered but my friends said that the Shrimp Cocktail and Parmesan fries were delicious and ample enough to share. I really liked the vibe of this place and look forward to coming back. *Valet for the hotel or street parking.
